<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin--><b>Minorityism can lead to Partition: BJP</b>
Pioneer.com
Rajeev Ranjan Roy | Lucknow
In the backdrop of the raging debate over the politics of appeasement being pursued by the UPA Government, the Bharatiya Janata Party on Saturday said such unchecked minorytism would lead to the second partition of the nation.

<span style='font-size:14pt;line-height:100%'>"If unchecked, the attempt to create a special citizenship for Muslims will pave the way for a second partition," the </span>BJP said in a resolution titled UPA Government's Vote-bank Politics adopted unanimously at the party's national executive meeting here on Saturday.

Leaving no scope for any doubts about the BJP's determination to use 'minorytism' as a powerful tool to corner the Congress and Samajwadi Party in the upcoming elections in Uttar Pradesh, the party vowed to resist the dangerous drift with all its might.

<span style='font-size:14pt;line-height:100%'>"The Congress is playing havoc with the Indian identity and nationalism. The UPA has made Muslim appeasement and vote-bank politics the hallmark of the governance. The BJP national council resolves to mobilise all nationalist Indians and defeat the assault on our nationhood,"</span> the four-page resolution said.

<span style='font-size:14pt;line-height:100%'>"By attempting to re-inject religion-based quota, the Congress is re-opening old wounds," the resolution added, reminding countrymen that "the creation of a separate electorate and categorisation of society along religious lines produced a separatist mindset and led to partition in 1947."</span>

At the same time, the resolution sent across a clear message that BJP would leave nothing unturned to bring Muslims into the social and political mainstream and talked of how the Congress was responsible for their plight in the country.

"The BJP believes that Muslims are an inseparable part of India. They share with the rest of the people a common ancestry and culture. Their struggle for economic prosperity, social dignity, women's empowerment and education make them one with the rest of India," resolution says. "By separating Muslim issues from the rest, the Government is creating an artificial divide, breeding resentment and nurturing divisive forces. By linking the fate of terrorist conspirators with Muslim interests, the Congress and its allies are implicitly suggesting Muslims have a stake in terrorism aimed against the ordinary people, that is great injustice to nationalist Muslims," the resolution said.

<b>"We are not against Muslims. We are opposed to the mindset that the Congress is promoting, thereby threatening the country's unity and social harmony. The BJP firmly believes in the policy of justice to all, and appeasement to none. All weaker sections of the society need special attention. It cannot be done, however, on the basis of religion," </b>former Minister Sushma Swaraj said while tabling the resolution.

<b>About the Congress' love for Muslims empowerment, the BJP resolution noted that the secular credentials of such parties have developed "a vested interest in keeping Muslims poor, ghettoised and in a state of permanent nervousness. They have perceived Muslims as voting fodder and not worked for their betterment. The social disabilities of Muslim women have never been addressed."</b>

To substantiate UPA's communal appeasement, the resolution cited several examples including Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's famous 'Muslims first' remark at the recent meeting of the National Development Council (NDC) in New Delhi.

<span style='font-size:14pt;line-height:100%'>"The inclusion of Muslim League MP in the Union Council of Ministers, shielding perpetrators of the Godhra train arson, protecting illegal Bangladeshi migrants, religion-based reservation in Andhra Pradesh, Sachar Committee, exclusion of minority institutions from the ambit of SC, ST and OBC quota make a shameful record of UPA's politics of minorytism," </span>Swaraj said.

UPA's new year bonanza for the Hindus in minority (!)
V SUNDARAM
I was going through the Government of India Websites 10 days ago. I had the misfortune of running into a Government of India website relating to e. greetings under four heads: a) Celebrations; b) Heritage; c) Festivals and d) Glimpses of India. I did not find any e-greeting card for any Hindu festival. However, there were 16 cards for Christmas and 9 for Eid. I could clearly see the egalitarian impact of Sachar Committee and Dr Manmohan Singh's Minority Appeasement Declaration (MAD) in concerted action even on a Government of India website. I was very happy to note that many of my friends had also noticed this glaring omission founded on the political plank of Nehruvian pseudo secularism. Various e-groups started an e-mail campaign, poured out their minds and hearts in anguish, making use of the 'FEEDBACK' link available at the above site. One of my friends Capt Balakrishnan, noted for his sardonic wit and wisdom, sent his feedback to the Government of India website in these well-understood, if not understanding words: 'I find that only EID and CHRISTMAS are mentioned in the website. I regret to state that there are no e-cards for Hindu festivals. I wonder whether we have become so 'secularized' to the extent that we are prepared to forget our civilizational ethos! What a pity. In this context I would like to quote these immortal words of Shri Aurobindo in his last political speech at Uttarpara on 30 May 1909: 'I say it again today, but I put it in another way. I say no longer that nationalism is a creed, a religion, a faith; I say that it is the Sanatan Dharma which for us is nationalism. This Hindu nation was born with the Sanatan Dharma, with it it moves and with it it grows. When the Sanatan Dharma declines, then the nation declines, and if the Sanatan Dharma were capable of perishing, with the Sanatan Dharma it would also perish. The Sanatan Dharma, is indeed nationalism. This is the message that I have to speak to you'. If India is held together, it is because of SANATANA DHARAMA.'

Normally for the citizens of India belonging to the majority Hindu religion, men in the top hierarchy in the Government of India are noted for having the skin of a Rhinoceros. Yet, it is amazing to note that Government of India were shamed into not so indecent conduct by the repeated onslaught and salvos coming from many quarters whose only motto was 'KEEP HITTING THE 'SECULAR BRIGANDS'. Lo! And BEHOLD!! In the next 48 or 72 hours, suddenly Hindu Festivals started appearing at the website!!

Truth is a rock on which the world is built. Satyena tisthate jagath. Falsehood can never be the true source of strength. When falsehood is at the root of a Government, that Government is doomed to failure. Guided or organized or contrived diplomacy can only help a Government or movement if it proceeds upon truth. To make pseudo-secular diplomacy the root-principle is to contravene the laws of both righteous governance and dignified existence.

Indian American Intellectuals Forum, of which Narain Kataria is the President, has recently sent a letter to Dr Abdul Kalam, President of India, inviting his kind attention to the fact that several Ministries in the Government of India have stopped using the phrase 'SATYAMEVA JAYATE' in the National Emblem on Government Websites/ Documents. It is a well-known fact that our State Emblem is an adaptation from the Sarnath Lion Capital of Ashoka the Great. This was adopted by the Government of India on 26 of January, 1950. The words 'SATYAMEVA JAYATE' were inscribed underneath the Wheel of the Law (Dharma Chakra). The Research Wing of Indian American Intellectuals Forum headed by Ramesh Gathoria has identified more than 150 important official documents (I am listing a few below) on which the words 'SATYAMEVA JAYATE' have been omitted from the Government seal. It is a serious and sensitive omission.
Here are a few sample websites and documents where this calculated lapse or omission of 'SATYAMEVA JAYATE' has taken place:
'Pravasi Bharatiya' Issue No. 8, Volume 1 of 2006 - Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs
Embassy of India Paris (www.amb-inde.fr/)
Circulars issued by the office of the President/Vice President and Prime Minister of India
India Digest - Vol 4, Issue 20 of 15 October, 2006
Circulars issued by the Department of Atomic Energy and Indian Space Research Centre (ISRO)
Circulars issued by the Finance Commission, Ministry of Finance, Govt. of India
Circulars issued by the Embassy of India, the Hague (www.indianembassy.nl/ )
Circulars issued by the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs (www.mpa.nic.in/ )

I understand that Gathoria, is planning to visit India shortly in order to contact the appropriate Government officials to discuss this matter for ensuring necessary corrective action. It is a matter of national shame that when the issue was taken to the notice of the Ministry of Culture sometime ago, no action was taken on the ground that 'SATYAMEVA JAYATE' is irrelevant. Perhaps, they only believe in 'Asatyameva Jayate' in thought and action.

It has been truly said that artists treat facts as stimuli for imagination, whereas the scientists use imagination to coordinate facts. I am neither an artist nor a scientist. And yet, the scale and the magnitude of the organized misdeeds of the UPA Government during the last two years have enabled me to acquire the skills of a minor artist and a minor scientist in the world of journalism - a world in which I am an untutored stripling. As an insignificant free lance journalist, I would allow my imagination to run free to describe in imaginary terms the sad plight of the Hindus in majority in India today. Based on my none-too fertile imagination I am presenting below what are all the lurid possibilities in which the UPA Government in New Delhi can ensure the total extinction of 'Sanatana Dharma' in India.

Here is the thrilling and gripping imaginary story:
a) The great Periyar - one of the greatest intellectual giants in the history of world civilization, paid his personal tribute to the Tamil Language in these words: 'Tamil is a barbarous language and Tamilians are barbarians'. The UPA Government deriving inspiration from this declaration of Periyar declared 'Sanskrit and Hindi' as barbarous languages and those Hindus who speak or study these languages are barbarians. It was not difficult for them to do so because of the recent declaration of Government that there would be an all-out effort to promote, foster and develop the Urdu language. To this language, UPA Government have also added 'Arabic' 'Persian' and, 'Latin' and have completely done away with Sanskrit and Hindi. The Tigris and the Euphrates rivers, unlike saffronized Communal rivers like the Jamuna and the Ganga, are secular, cosmopolitan, international and no less holy rivers.

b) Another historic moment is the UPA's declaration of the Vedas, the Upanishads, the Ramayana, the Mahabharata and the Baghavat Gita, all saffronized, communal, obsolete and obscurantist scriptures - as anti-national books proclaiming the message of unprovoked violence disturbing peace all over the earth. This is done taking note of great and noble scriptures like the Koran and the Bible as peace-promoting, love-fostering and humanity-embracing books giving the message of peace and goodwill among men not only in India but throughout the world - more specially in the Middle East.

c) A notification is issued by the Government of India to the effect that the execution of Saddam Hussain was brought about by the subterranean and underground activities of Hindu Fundamentalist Organizations like the RSS, the VHP, Bajrangdal, etc.

d) An ordinance is passed removing the details of destruction of Temples and killing of Hindus by compassionate and peace-loving emperors like Mohammed of Gazni, Mohammed of Gori, Iltutmish, Balban, Allaudin Khilji, Timur, Babar, Aurangazib, Nadir Shah, Ahmed Shah Abdali and several other messengers of peace and compassion from the pages of history in the NCERT and other Text books.

e) Government of India have issued an ordinance to the effect that all Pakistan citizens are qualified for dual citizenship rights on the humane consideration that their mother tongue is Urdu and many of their close relations are living in India.

Let me now move from the world of my Fantasy and perhaps wild imagination to the world of ground level reality. There is no doubt that Hinduism has become a dirty word and all the politicians of India are keen on the Hindus learning to disown their identity. Renascent Hinduism will have to contend with these forces. It will have to overcome the forces of self-denigration and self-alienation. Those who are against India are even more opposed to Hinduism, a name for India at its deepest and most cultural and spiritual. Hinduism embodies India's civilizational dimension and gives it cohesion, integrity, continuity and unity. They know that before they can subvert India, they must subvert Hinduism, that the country's balkanization is not possible without prior fragmentation of the Hindu society. Hence, their tenacious attack on Hinduism, their need to unleash caste politics. The game plan allows the talents of statesmen like Lalu Prasad Yadavs, Ram Vilas Paswans, Arjun Singhs, V P Singhs, Antulays, Karunanidhis, etc. full scope for all their political designs. It also allows the Naxalites, Marxists, Macaulayites to make their full contribution. It allows Pakistan, petro-dollars, evangelists, liberation theologians and several other unnamed agencies to play a crucial role not always hidden. But let not these and other State-sponsored odds discourage us. Hinduism has survived in spite of them and it will grow strong in spite of them. Though Hinduism is weak in many ways, yet it is unshakably strong in spiritual knowledge and wisdom??
Indeed a Rock of the Ages.

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin--><b>BJP cries foul over media reports on Jogi </b>
Pioneer News Service | New Delhi/Raipur
Media reports suggesting that the <b>UPA Government may be working to bail out former Chhattisgarh chief minister Ajit Jogi in the MLAs bribery case on Saturday evoked strong reaction from the BJP</b>.

<b>"It will be yet another glaring example of the UPA Government's misuse of the CBI and we will oppose it legally as well as politically,"</b> BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar told media persons. This was in reaction to the media reports that the Union Law Ministry has advised the CBI that no case can be made out against<b> Ajit Jogi for allegedly paying Rs 45 lakhs to opposition MLAs to prevent the installation of the BJP Government after 2003 elections</b>.

In a special report, NDTV had claimed that in response to the CBI's request for legal advice, the Law Department has said that Jogi cannot be charged under the Prevention of Corruption Act. Quoting sources, the TV channel said Law Ministry's advice was that there is no section in the act that covers bribing by a public servant.

<b>The BJP leaders have cried foul because they think it was an open and shut case. BJP leaders had displayed Rs 45 lakh that caretaker Chief Minister Ajit Jogi paid to bribe opposition MLAs after 2003 elections. </b>

Jogi's deal making conversation was also taped and his voice was certified by forensic laboratories.

Following public furore, the Congress had also virtually sidelined the former Chhattisgarh CM, who was supposedly close to Congress President Sonia Gandhi. <b>If the CBI goes by the Law Ministry's advice, Jogi may now escape all action, even a chargesheet.</b>

<b>"This is the worst kind of interpretation, that they also used for Mayawati's case. But I'm sure that the Supreme Court will take action," said Javadekar.</b>

In Raipur, Chhattisgarh BJP spokesperson Saroj Pandey said that the<b> party would launch a mass agitation if the CBI refused to chargesheet Jogi for attempting to stop Raman Singh from becoming the chief minister in December 2003 by bribing MLAs.</b>

Former state BJP General Secretary Virendra Pandey, who claimed Jogi had handed him over Rs 45 lakh, also accused Congress-led Government at the Centre of adopting "double standards" on corruption issue and said if needed they would go to the court.

<b>"Besides a letter written by Jogi himself on the issue, the CBI had also found positive report on the forensic test of the voice of Jogi, taped by me, then why the agency was taking time to file the chargesheet,"</b> asked Virendra Pandey, former BJP General Secretary

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->UPA’s holiday politics Holi quashed

The UPA government has removed Holi and Janmasthami from the list of gazetted government holidays. They are now only on the list of Restricted Holidays., along with 32 other festivals and sacred days.

The government’s move is being seen as yet another please-minorities policy. Holi, Dusshera and Diwali are among the most important Hindu festivals. Over the years, Holis has come to represent a social rather than religious occasion, with non-Hindus also joining in the celebrations. By taking these two festivals from the gazetted list, the government has made a statement. Now both strictly Hindu festivals and Muslim festivals are even in number.

According to the present list, there are three holidays for Muslim festivals (id-ul-Juha, Muharram and Milad-un-nabi), three for Hindus (Diwali, Dussehra and Ram Navami), three national festivals (Independence Day, Republic Day and Gandhi Jayanti), two of the Christians (Good Friday and Christmas), Buddha Purnima, Guru Nanak Jayanti, and Mahavir Jayanti.

This Year, Holi falls on a Sunday and therefore, the people may not feel the pinch of losing a holiday.

Some freak in the US posts an offensive video of Mahatma Gandhi on Youtube. I’ve seen it and it is in very poor taste. The freak apologizes with the usual “I respect Gandhiji” bullshit, which nobody buys but the apology makes their egos happy.

But the most idiotic response comes from an aberration of nature called P.R. Dasmunshi. He said what comes naturally to him, and his party, which practiced it for decades: blocking Youtube. This selfsame aberration had tried his lowly best to please Her Highness and the entire Christian community in the Da Vinci Code episode.

I guess censorship comes naturally to this idiot. Maybe the Communist Climate in West Bengal does that to you.

Bharatvarshji

I just looked up the list of holidays from the Ministry of Personnel PGP (under HR ministry)...which applies to NCR region.

Not only does it not have the Holi and Janmashtami, but <span style='color:red'>in compulsary holiday list, it excludes even Ram navami! And in its place, the list has included one additional muslim holiday making the list to : Idul Fitr, Idul Juha, Muharram, and Mohammed's birthday (Id-e-milad)</span>

14 compulsary holidays include :
3 national holidays,
4 muslim holidays mentioned above,
2 Christian (GFriday, Christmas)
2 Hindu (Diwali, V Dashami)
1 each for Jain, Sikh, Bauddha

And then 3 holidays can be picked from a list of 14 holidays by the employees associations etc...

Not only that, the list make sure it says "Prophet Mohammed's Birthday (Id-E-Milad)" - why not "PBUH" after the name? But it even misspells Buddha to "Budha".

This is the height of degeneration that India has reached, the 75% community get's 2 compulsory holidays while the 13% Muslim community gets 4 compulsory holidays, in the West not even one country observes a single holiday concerning Hindus even if Hindus are about 1% (as in UK) but in India we have been observing xtian holidays since independence even though officially they are only 2%.

I remember mullah Mulayam even declared that UP schools will be closed for friday afternoon's since Muslim kids have to go for namaaz or somthing.

Holi used to be more of a North Indian thing back in the day but now it's very popular in the South also, mostly in the cities such as Hyderabad and Chennai, this was a bit like the spread of Ganesh Chathurthi to the South although it was started by Tilak in Maharashtra to bring Indians together, even the Dravidian in TN parties have been unable to do anything about the emergence of more and more pan Hindu festivals.

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->Supreme Court issues notice on Haj subsidy

January 18, 2007 18:31 IST

The Supreme Court has sought the Centre's reply on a petition challenging the Constitutional validity of the Haj Committee Act, 1959 and the provision of annual financial assistance by the Government to Muslims going on the pilgrimage.

The petition filed by Prafull Goradia, a businessman alleged that the estimated Rs 280 crore annually incurred by the government for funding the Haj pilgrimage was not only unconstitutional but was a severe drain on the tax payers' money.

Goradia complained that provision of special subsidy to the Muslim community to the exclusion of others like Hindus, Christians, Buddhists and Sikhs was violative of the Constitution as the State cannot discriminate between the citizens on the grounds of religion, caste or creed.

The petition quoted various provisions of the Constitution, including Article 27, which provided, 'that no person shall be compelled to pay any taxes, the proceeds of which are specifically appropriated for the payment of expenses for the promotion and maintenance of any particular religion."

Bharatbarshji, I find in the Govt of India holiday notificatin that there are 18 compulsory holidays . Out of these the following are due to Hindu religious occasions:-
1. Maha Shivaratri Feb 16,
2. Ram Navami March 27,
3. Janmastami September 4,
4. Dussehra October 21.
5. Diwali November, 9

This year there is a exception for the Muslim community as the Bakrid is taking place twice on 1st Jan and Dec 21. Taking these two dates, there are four holidays on account of Muslim religious festivals. The Christians have two Good Friday and Christmas.

Congress Undemocratic Ideology - 3 - Bharatvarsh - 01-20-2007

Ravishji thanks for the info, of the 5 u mentioned Deepavali and Dussehra are compulsory while the other 3 are chosen from a list of 12, do you know how these selections are made and also if the same one's are selected each year, I think Holi used to be in the compulsory list but has now been pushed into the selection list?

Congress Undemocratic Ideology - 3 - Guest - 01-20-2007

Also Ravishji, if Bakrid is counted twice, then <span style='color:red'>Muslim holidays go up to 5</span>:

Id ul Juha 1: Jan 1
Id ul Juha 2: Dec 21
Muharram: Jan 30
Milad un Nabi: April 1
Id ul Fitr: Oct 14

Out of the above, two - Miladunnabi and Idulfitr, are falling on Sunday, just like Holi, but still added in the compulsary list, with an explicit note like this:

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->5.2 any change in date with respect to the above holidays, if necessary, depending upon the sighting of the moon, would by notified by the ministry, based upon the decision of the concerned governments of the state/union territory.

5.3 It may happen that the change in date of above occasions may have to be notified at very short notice.  In such a situation, announcement may be made through TV/AIR/News paper and head of departments/Offices may take a decision without a formal order, about change of date.

Actually , the various States have the descretion to make the necessary adjustments.Various political parties have always being out to please the miniority community and some distortion has taken place on this account as the productivity of the Government machinery is also required to be kept at a certain level. The axe has fallen on the Hindu religious festivals.

So, it is clear what happened. In 2006, Bhagwan Mahaveer's and Prophet Muhammad's birthdays fell on the same day (what an irony!!) also there was only one Bakrid in 2006 (saving some cows!). However in 2007, Miladunnabi (Muhammed's bday) is a separate day and there are two Bakrids. So faithfuls require two additional holiday, and rest of the nation Kafirs and all, have to observe the holiday with faithfuls. Simple solution, need two extra days, drop Holi and Janmashtami into restricted list. (Idulfitr and Miladunnabi have to be on compulsary list even if they are on Sunday!). As clear as Indian sky in the afternoons of Ashadh masam.

later: 2006 must have been full of ironies. Gandhiji's birthday coincided with slaying of Ravana by Bhagwan Ram (vijaya dashami)

New Delhi, Jan. 22: The Congress is spending sleepless nights in Karnataka,
where it had watched its government fall to the BJP last year.

“We are now afraid of losing not only our voters but our party rank and file to
the Hindutva forces,” said a general secretary. The warning was sent to the
bosses in Delhi last week, when Bangalore was plastered with RSS-BJP posters of
a “Hindu utsavam” to mark the centenary of the Sangh ideologue M. S. Golwalkar.
And, some of these carried the names of Congress leaders.

The “incriminating” posters reached Delhi, from where defence minister A. K.
Antony (in picture), in charge of Karnataka affairs, reportedly warned the MLAs
and office-bearers whose names figured on the publicity material. They were
asked to stay away from RSS-BJP activities.

“The leaders complied, but asked senior Karnataka leaders uncomfortable
queries,” the general secretary said. <b>The main “provocation” was the presence
of senior Congress leaders at a public meeting to protest Saddam Hussein’s
hanging. These included C.K. Jaffer Sharief, Roshan Baig, state party chief
Mallikarjuna Kharge and leader of Opposition Dharam Singh</b>.

“The point is that if it’s okay to attend a pro-Saddam rally, what’s wrong in
associating with a function on Golwalkar?” a source asked. Arguments that
Saddam was a friend of India haven’t cut ice with the Congress’s sceptics.

Sources say the Congress doesn’t want Karnataka to go the Gujarat way, where the BJP initially piggybacked on the Janata Dal to win a few seats and later
consolidated its position.

Boss Congresswalla who is leaning toward BJP-RSS,

Try to understand onlee. Going to Saddam rallies is good for Sonia, since it destroys India. Gowalkar is bad for India, since he asks questions which demand the truth about Imperialist-Islamist-Missionary-Marxist figments of imagination and exposes them. Following Gowalkar will strengthen India immensely, and kick out Sonia Maino and her Vatican Fiction Writers, and therefore, his thoughts should be avoided onlee, yes or no?

Lawd save the Italian B**ch

Sincerely,

Your Hindutvawadi Wellwisher

Satyameva Jayate

I think this is a bad idea for RSS to associate with BJP like this. Instead of supporting hindus in all the parties, RSS is supporting BJP as a hindu party, which gives the motivation for other parties to divide hindus and appease minority. RSS should encouraged hindus in all parties. Example, ex-CM Dharam Singh. This guy is as hindu as anybody else, he visited shani temple in TN on some occasion when he was CM. Had RSS not been supporting BJP, Dharam singh might behave more hindu, instead of attending pro-saddam rally.
