<b>5 questions about the crash</b>
B.Raman<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->n any enquiry into the mishap to YSR's helicopter, the following questions may have to be addressed:

-Do the security rules on board VIP planes and helicopters require that the mobile phones of security officers will also be switched off as the other passengers are required to do?
-If so, is there any independent means of communications with the security officers available in addition to the communication equipment of the plane or helicopter?
-If not, how to ensure that the security officers have an independent and secure means of communications with their headquarters instead of having to depend on the equipment of the aircraft or helicopter?
-What is the present communications protocol with the security officer or officers on board with the VIP?
-Is there any need for revising it in the light of the experience with YSR's chopper?<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Well forget about communication issue within crashed planes, Rescue planes are also missing communication system, what a pathetic situation in this era.

<b>Choppers meant for short, not long, trips</b>'<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->A former Andhra Pradesh director general of police believes politicians take needless risks by using helicopters.

<b>"Helicopters are meant for short hauls of 100 to 150 kilometres, not for long journeys,"</b> former DGP P Ramulu said, reacting to the disappearance of the helicopter carrying state Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy [ Images ].

<b>Pointing out that Chittoor, Dr Reddy's destination, is 500 to 600 km away from Hyderabad, he wondered how a helicopter can be used for such a long haul.

"They (the chief minister and his staff) should have flown either to Tirupati or Chennai by regular flight and then taken a helicopter from there. Aircraft are much safer than helicopters," </b>he said.

Ramulu, who served as the DGP during the Telugu Desam Party's tenure in power and has since joined the TDP, recalled instances of travelling by helicopter when he found how risky the journeys were.

He also pointed out that Chief Minister Reddy had only one security officer accompanying him on Wednesday's fateful flight.

<b>"I had suggested that the security officer should carry an AK-47 during such a journey just in case the chopper made an emergency landing in hostile environment,"</b> Ramulu added.

He also expressed surprise that the chief minister traveled by a Bell 430 helicopter when a much advanced Augusta Westland AW-39 helicopter was available with the state government. The TDP government had bought the Westland helicopter for Rs 58 crore (Rs 580 million). "That is a much safer helicopter," the former DGP said<b>. "I don't know from where this Bell helicopter has come.</b>"<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

K Rosaiah deserves to be CM as he is senior most politician. He is not a mass leader but a professional politician. I'm not sure YSR group will let him in considering money power.

<b>Shock across political spectrum at YSR’s death (Lead)</b>
September 3rd, 2009 - 2:57 pm ICT by IANS Tell a Friend -

Bharatiya Janata Party New Delhi, Sep 3 (IANS) Political leaders across the spectrum Thursday mourned the death of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, hailing him as a “man of determination, charisma and conviction”.
A pall of gloom descended on Congress party offices headquarters where its flags flew at half mast. The opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) also flew its flag at half mast at its headquarters here.

“It is a tremendous loss. He was a dynamic chief minister. A towering and successful leader of the state and the Congress party,” party spokesperson Jayanthi Natarajan said after the bodies of YSR, as he is popularly known, and four others were found in Kurnool district where their helicopter crashed Wednesday.

“He was very practical. He always wanted to achieve specific goals. He was a man on the move,” she added. “I am sure there is much more he could have achieved.”

She said party president Sonia Gandhi was in constant touch with YSR’s family.

YSR’s main political rival, Telugu Desam Party chief Chandrababu Naidu, told reporters in Hyderabad that beyond political differences, he had great friendship with the deceased chief minister. “We were very good friends. He was a man of conviction and charisma. I am shocked,” he said.

Veteran BJP leader L.K. Advani said in a message: “I am deeply saddened to know that the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, has died in a tragic helicopter accident. I condole his untimely and tragic death.”

Advani added: “The people of Andhra Pradesh and the country at large have lost a very able and popular leader of (the) masses.”

Condoling Reddy’s death, BJP president Rajnath Singh said: “The sudden death of YSR is an irreparable loss. He was the son of the soil and has always worked for the poor. He is known for good governance.”

“I am deeply saddened by his sudden death. I extend my heartfelt sympathy to his family.”

In a statement, Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) general secretary Prakash Karat said: “The death of Rajasekhara Reddy in a tragic helicopter accident has shocked everyone. His untimely death is a big loss for Andhra Pradesh and the Congress.”

Communist Party of India (CPI) leader A.B. Bardhan said Reddy was a “very dynamic national leader. We had our differences……but there is no difference (in opinion) that he was indeed a dynamic person. It’s a big tragedy, a very sad end to a brilliant career.”

Bardhan’s colleague D. Raja said it’s a “big loss not only for Andhra Pradesh but also for the entire country. He was a popular leader”.

Renuka Chowdhary, Congress leader and former union minister said: “He was a hands-on chief minister who didn’t hesitate to work hard, who didn’t hesitate to fight hard. He believed in what he was doing and put his heart, head, voice, money and everything into it.

“It’s very difficult to think him in past tense as yet. And the only way to go forward is to look forward and go forward. We can’t look back ….democracy doesn’t stand still and moves forward and we need to move forward.”

The helicopter in which the chief minister, popularly known as YSR, and four others were travelling went missing about 9.30 a.m. Wednesday. The wreckage of the helicopter was found Thursday morning on a hilltop in the Nallamalla forest.

<span style='color:red'>Y Samuel Reddy is dead. But who is YSR?</span>
September 3, 2009 by janamejayan

Andhra Chief Minister Y.Samuel Reddy was found dead at the site of a helicopter crash. It is believed that the helicopter was struck by a hill a fitting tribute to a man who tried to desecrate the seven holy hills of Thirupathi by trying to plant a church and sell off the Holy Hills to the christian missionaries. Now his ‘followers’ want to plant a huge statue of him bigger in size than Lord Venkateswara on the Holy Hills. I wonder what fate awaits them who want to carry on the desecration.

It seems to kindle new hopes in the hearts of the persecuted Hindus.

Here are some comments from the readers that I culled from the following url:

http://www.expressbuzz.com/edition/story.a...me=pWehHe7IsSU=

“Y Samuel R Reddy is “worth” 30,000 CRORES in Swindled Money all kept in Benami names. This has been taken and kept outside India. YSR’s Son has over 10,000 CRORES. If this YSR really ‘goes’, Sonia aka Antonia Maino will grab all the money! YSR is also the Ringleader for Christian Conversions in AP. CBN or Christian Broadcasting Network from the USA is now “Produced’ from AP in India. No wonder Antonia Sonis is ‘waiting’… YSR and Gang were the main Players in swindling of Satyam/Maytas, where over 40,000 CRORES was ‘Made’ . The Sad part is if YSR really ‘goes’ he cant take one single Rupee with him! Godammn Thieves!

In Nov 2004 when Jaya’s police descended in Mahboob Nagar to arrest the Kanchi Sankaracharya on cooked-up charges, the entire AP official machinery including Y. Samuel Rajasekar Reddy did nothing to stop Amma but cooperated with her. Amma had the nerve to fool the world that the Sankaracharya was planning to fly to Nepal in a helicopter. Despite knowing this a blatant lie, Samuel Reddy kept quiet and allowed the Acharya to travel from his state handcuffed to Madras. Karma has come back to Samuel Reddy. Nothing more. Unbelievable – Samuel Reddy died on a Pradosham day in Rudrakonda hills.

This goonda ishas finally met the fate he dand his family dished out to many. This goonda never paid a single electricity bill for the power guzzling AP Carbides factory in Kurnool. His father was the goonda king of Prodattur and died in a bomb blast. Deservingly he met a gory death. He won both the state assembly elections by EVM fraud using ameerpet degree holders in ECIL. Deservingly an Ameerpet educated pilot and co-pilot killed him. If only the ameerpet pilots had learnt a bit of geography they would have flown to the west of Kurnool but thankfully divine retribution destroyed him as he sought to impose cultism on AP. Let all the 700 pastors who feasted on the day he became CM at Kurnool now commit suicide. Kurnool has delivered AP from it’s misery

YSR loyalists are pushing for YSR's son and first time MP from Kadappa - YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Let’s see if all the ill gotton money of his father could help him secure the mantle. Moreover Maino might like to keep the Christian as the Chief Minister.

YSR the christian terrorist chief minister of Andhra Pradesh whose full name is Yeduguri Samuel Rajasekhara Reddy. If the Hindus knows that YSR is a christian, the public won’t vote for the congress. YSR’s father Raja Reddy was a poor farmer who got converted to Christianity for money and was ostracised by his native village, Balapanur. Raja Reddy moved away to Pulivendula where he poured kerosene on a person and burned him alive. Raja Reddy later killed a barytes mine lease Venkatasubbaiah and took over his mine. YSR continued the illegal mining activities and the crores he got was pumped back to build his terrorist faction gangs and rose politically using violence. <!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd--><!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Yes captions are in Telugu, very first one says "What if a factionist becomes CM" & "Murdered TDP workers" then names them:

1) paritAla ravIndra
2) bEdAr nAyudu
3) pAvurAla krishNa
4) salIm bhAshA
5) pAvurAla rAjA
6) cAvali vIrAnjanEyulu

Of these paritAla was the most well known, a factionist himself who was murdered in a car bomb i think in 2007.
