<b>Musharraf briefs Rice on Singh meeting</b>

NEW YORK: President Gen Pervez Musharraf has met with US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and briefed her on his meeting with Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in Havana. Sources said Ms Rice welcomed the development, and added that the US is keen to help solve disputes between Pakistan and India. Ms Rice also praised Gen Musharraf’s leadership qualities, the sources said. The two met at the Roosevelt Hotel and also discussed the war against terrorism, Afghanistan, Iraq and Iran’s nuclear programme. Online
