AV, Good idea to have a thread on US politics. Most of us live in US and should be more knowledgable about the political process. One person I know said that this new wave is just a conservative disillusionment with Bush Admin and not any Democratic wave. So no big changes are expected. However it is for the Democrats to loose the momentum if they manage to rally the conservatives to back the Republicans in 2008.

How the Iraq disengagement will be handled will be the key.
