The scion of Nehru-Gandhi family has found a new cause to support - the <b>deteriorating condition of opium growers of Rajasthan</b>.
<b>The opium growers have been camping at the Congress headquarters since Monday.</b> The bright bandhani print turbans dotted the landscape at 24 Akbar Road on Tuesday as more opium farmers filtered in the Capital. <b>Protesting against the "discriminatory" policy of the Centre, the farmers found a sympathetic listener in heir-apparent Rahul Gandhi</b> <!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

What discriminatory policy of the Center? Is this something new? What is going on?
---------
Never mind. Due to crop failure eh farmers in Rajasthan risk loosing their Central license to grow the stuff due to lower yield. In other words Centre issues permits to grow only to those farmers who grow a certain amount per hectare. I guess keeps the sundry small potatoes farmers out.
And this amount varies with each state to suit local conditions.
I was seeing too much in the story.
Now to get back to the 'get' Jaswant Singh case. JS knows about IF and BRF so there is a personal angle to this issue. He has read Kaushal's presentation too.
