In the short run, this looks like a fantastic idea. But I am not so sure about long term impacts. Will the commercial interest in milk reduce or eventually eliminate Indian breed of cows? Actually many VHP people claim that Indian cow products have medicinal values. Why don't vetenary scientists try to improve milk producing capability of Indian cows? Once we lose our own stuff, it may be very difficult to get them back.
I may extend this practice to wild extreme. Why don't we import some jews and breed with Indians to produce smart Indians? Actually we don't need that because we know that Indians are much smarter people and after they are nurtured for some more time, they will easily become world beater. I would follow the same approach to many things we get from Israel. They currently have many advantages over us, and we should tactically borrow them to help us leapfrog. But ensure that they don't cause any permanent change to us.
I agree that Israel is India's friend, but that country is a much closer friend of USA. I find no problem in purchasing weapons from Israel, engaging in high-tech business with them, or preferring Israel over other middle eastern countries. But, I get bit paranoid when the relation touches our traditional stuff.
