Moily, Hegde Share Al-Ameen Award
Bangalore: Former Chief ministers Veerappa Moily and Ramakrishna Hegde were jointly given the Al-Ameen National Integration Award 2000 at a function held here on October 9. The awards were presented by Al-Ameen Education society Syed Sadaqath Peeran respectively. In the address presented at the ceremony Al-Ameen listed the sanctioning of Al-Aman Medical College at Bijapur and constitution of Minority Commission in the state among Mr. Hegde's achievements. Mr. Veerappa Moily was louded for his government's in granting 4 per cent reservation in government jobs and education in Karnataka.
