Yes, certainly not correct. Because if that were the case, you can be born in India to a US citizen mother and Indian father and opt for Indian citizenship. And then 20 years later, acquire US citizenship on account of Mother's ties. Has to be jus soli, not jus sanguinis. To eliminate the possibility of foreigner becoming President.
