US Elections 2008 - II
Currently election is in very nasty phase.
Lets see whether typical white bitter people who cling to religion and guns bump their grand mother under bus in PA or come out to support Ayers and march towards Wright's new 1.2 million mansion in Chicago with credit line 10 million or join million march of Nation of Islam in PA Avenue in DC.
Interesting times. <!--emo&Big Grin--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->
<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->Racism in Black & White
<img src='http://newstodaynet.com/images/stories/columns/pb.gif' border='0' alt='user posted image' />

The white man of the West (you may include those Down Under too) has always played smart. <b>While historically his has been the hand that has consistently pinched the child and then rocked the cradle, he does them with astute adeptness.

He is the one who colonised the entire world, yet he is the champion of freedom; his imperial escapades have killed and maimed millions, still he is the loudest proponent of human rights. All his prosperity has been at the expense of the environment, yet, after having had his fill, he is now the chief gardener of a green earth.
</b>
And worst, after destroying scores of indigenous cultures and civilisations, he parades as the harbinger of democracy in those places. And through all this he has had the temerity to claim that it was his divine right, A White Man’s Burden, to civilise the world. And racism stands out as another sterling legacy of his ‘civilising’ zeal.

Being not just a pioneer but also an ardent practioner the white man tends to see any slight on him only in the light of racism. And true to his track record of inflicting wounds and then selling the balm, he is also the most vocal in the business of ‘redressing’ racism.

Quite altruistic of him indeed to be making amends, but only that his motives and methods are most suspect. Like the UNs, Amnesty Intels and Greenpeaces which  are totally powerless when the West violates, the white man’s concerns about his own racism is also just whitewash: his prescriptions are only for others.

The scores of definitions, debates and discussions that he has spawned in the name of addressing racism actually betray an even greater racist bent of mind than real-time racism itself. And even this guilt comes with condescending undertones with the western whites trying their best to retain their prerogative as the bestower.

But, with ‘inferior’ races now ruling the roost, from economic power to sports, the white man’s pain at seeing his ‘burden’ slipping away is all too evident. The Aussie players’ angst at Harbajan’s alleged racial slur only reflects the poor grace with which the whites react to such ‘race reversals’.

So is reverse racism, then, justified? But is it there in the first place? The ‘monkey business’ is probably the first episode in which Indians are being accused of racism. And it is a comic irony that Bhajji, whose community of Sardars has always been the butt of not so flattering jokes, and which has always taken such innuendos quite sportingly, should himself be accused of racism.

That apart, in India we routinely chide fellow citizens, friends and even our own children as monkeys. Monkey-god Hanuman is easily the most popular in our pantheon. In such a country which not only refers but also revers monkeys so spontaneously, how can they be deemed derogatory or racist?

Again, if we are to accept Aussie bowler Hogg’s argument that the B-word is culturally commonplace in Australia, uttering the monkey-nama too is culturally compatible for an Indian. In any case, it is a far more decent way to address an adversary compared to Hogg’s ‘cultural’ standards, assuming Bhajji had indeed done that.

But we will rest the monkey case with that. Racism is at best a footnote in the larger issue of assumed supremacy that most of mankind is guilty of. By definition, racism is the act of discriminating against someone or a group based on their descent and/or physical features such as colour.

But to put a racist tag on an insult intended to hurt is to belittle its magnitude and divert its import. Much of Aussie sledging on field constitutes greater assaults on Indians’ self-respect and character, nay, our nation itself. To dub these as merely racist is to let the offender off lightly.

Again, does a slur become serious only if it is racist? So, is trading of vulgar abuse tolerable if it is within a race? Is a racist slight the ultimate in slander? For instance, what about jihad and evangelism which are based on notions of a superior God? Really, racism pales before such ‘divine’ discrimination!

<b>Obama Postmodern Coup..... </b>
Description:

The Making of a Manchurian Candidate… Barack Obama is a troubled personality, the megalomaniac front man for a postmodern coup by intelligence agencies using fake polls, mobs of adolescents, super-rich backers, and orchestrated media hysteria to short-circuit normal politics and seize power. Obama comes from the orbit of the Ford Foundation, and has never won an election in a real contest. His guru and controller is Zbigniew Brzezinski, the Trilateral Commission co-founder and mad Russia-hater. Zbig wants a showdown with Russia and China far more dangerous for the US than the Bush-Cheney Iraq quagmire. Obama’s economics are pure Skull & Bones/Chicago school austerity and sacrifice for American working families, to bail out the bankrupt Wall Street financiers who own him. Obama’s lemming legions and Kool-Aid cult candidacy hearken back to Italy in 1919-1922, and raise a spectre of postmodern fascism in America. No voter can afford to ignore the lessons contained in this book.

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->Rajiv Malhotra comment

Many Indian NGOs are in effect foreign branches, franchisees or subsidiaries. <b>Ford Foundation was explicitly given this role after WW2, namely, to capture leftists in the third world using funding to infiltrate. </b>They have produced a huge informal network of influence across India which has many sleeper cells that could get activated any time from US. Tehelka's report some years ago on foreign funded evangelists with links to CIA was a good one. But after that report there was pressure from invisible places that ended further inquiry by Tehelka on this and both journalists who did that investigation left Tehelka to pursue other interests. Mysterious!<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Ford started news paper to spread lies about Jews. He hated jews and till now majority of Jews don't buy Ford Car or anything related to Ford.
Any guess on Hillary PA win?

My take - 10%-17%
RM identifed Ford Foundation as the neocolonial operators of non-western subaltern studies long before obama phenomenon cropped up. they identify non-westerns with the "white gaze" and these get promoted to lower ranks.

Both western rght and left have their sepoys. Internal consumption consists of theological issues of abortion, prayer, race etc. External product is combination effort (eg communists and missionaries in tandem in nepal).
First time I have seen US itself victim of its own far left fundoos, It is amazing to watch creation and spread of far-left action. I am waiting to see their ideological doom. These people are best in capitalism and believe least in human charity, spend money on perception only. They buy every avenue to increase or spread their own perception.
Soros connection to Avaaz and Kashmir is interesting.

<b>Group to Air Obama 'Willie Horton' Ad </b>
Monday, April 21, 2008 8:34 PM
By: Jim Meyers Article

The political operative behind the <b>Willie Horton ad that helped defeat Michael Dukakis in the 1988 presidential race is releasing a new ad this week targeting Democratic White House hopeful Barack Obama. </b>

Floyd Brown, a longtime conservative strategist who heads the conservative National Campaign Fund, said he is launching the ad to expose Obama’s weakness on gang violence.

“The ad draws a parallel between Obama’s weakness on gang violence and the war on terror,” said Brown. Brown is the former head of Citizens United, which claims to be the largest political action group for conservatives in the United States.

A measure of racism: 15 percent?
This is a cross-threadical post..

See the debate over BO's condescending attitude to Pennsylvanians? (eg read the Snob article by Mudy above).

I am not at all saying BO is not a snob, I think he is every bit a snob..he, Michelle, and most people in his inner circle.

My point is:

How do all these commentators justify the snobbery of the whole Xtian world toward non-Xtians? His ****ing hollowness the Papa makes his living doling out condescension by the ton, the parade of Titus-loving twits trying to look solemn and peaceful while carrying gilded crucifixes around the Papa: can anyone come up with a better picture of condescension personified?

The Truth will set you free! More likely, Xtians will choke on the Truth when they find out.

Same wilfull suspension of logic at work. Torture hundreds of millions of animals (and then kill them). But call yourself a big animal lover. <!--emo&:thumbdown--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Will be a lot closer. In urban/city areas where color comes into play, lot of 'street money' is being pumped.
Here comes riots preparation

He had pumped over million dollar, 750K alone in Philly. Rest around and in college area.
He is trying to buy votes but after putting so much money if he can't win, what a shame?
Same he did in Ohio, but labor union took money but helped Hillary voters, that is why some county went 90% in favor of Hillary by Obama money. <!--emo&Big Grin--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->
In Philly, only blacks will get money. According to first exit poll in philly area 98% blacks voted for Obama and 2% I suspect were afraid to tell pollester. But Asians and Catholics had offset some of AA votes in Philly.

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->They also cringe as Bill continues his honey-crusted-nut-bar meltdown. With his usual exquisite timing, just as Pennsylvanians were about to vote, Hillary’s husband became the first person ever to play the Caucasian Card. <!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Rajesh,
Big loser is NY Times, they are getting hammered everywhere by this editorial. By the way this was written day before yesterday, they were anticipating small margin.
After quarterly loss, pink slips in coming weeks, they came up with this article. People get there news from net and print media is losing its credibility.
After spending like Paris Hilton and Britney Spears NY times kid Obama lost election by not one or two points but 10 points, what a shame!! Even buses from Baltimore, DC, and NY city were unable to add vote count in Philly.

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->Prominent Democrats only whisper when they compare Obama, the first African-American with a serious chance to be president, with what happened to Los Angeles' black Mayor Tom Bradley a quarter of a century ago. Exit polls in 1982 showed Bradley ahead for governor of California, but he actually lost to Republican George Deukmejian. Pollster John Zogby (who correctly predicted Clinton's double-digit win Tuesday) said what practicing Democrats would not. "<b>I think voters face-to-face are not willing to say they would oppose an African-American candidate</b>," Zogby told me.

...

The escape route from this dilemma only a few months ago seemingly was indicated by the sudden emergence of Obama as an extraordinary candidate who could transcend race and ideology. But as Bill Clinton sought to label Obama as his wife's black opponent, he increasingly also has been identified as bearing the same ideological burdens that brought down Democratic nominees George McGovern, Walter Mondale and Michael Dukakis.

...

Obama was saved from total disaster in Pennsylvania by 92 percent of the African-American vote, but the reverse of the racial divide was Clinton's support from whites, especially white working women.

...

Their hard assessment is that Hillary Clinton clawing her way to the nomination could mean 25 percent McCain support from a radically depleted African-American turnout -- a prescription for disaster.

rajesh_g,
Let me give you ground reality from ground states that went for election and you will be surprised how human work whether it is US or India.
Media is 200% behind Obama, it is so much in tank that they had called Hillary everything in dirtiest list on prime time TV that need PG rating. Zogby had endrosed Obama in Nov 2007. Infact, yesterday Keith Oblerman of MSNBC said someone should take Hillary inside room and only one person should come out, that should not be Hillary. Around 1am MSNBC removed that video from its website.
Because of all these support, Obama supporters mainly blacks are openly intimidating people, including death threats, identity stolen, throwing stones and garbage at people house or business.
Day before election, few white girls were standing and black woman approached crowd with Obama picture T-shirt and screamed at them saying, "this is personal" "this is personal" those girls who were wearing Hillary button told them they understand but those black woman started intimidating. People are so scared to tell pollsters whom they are voting because revenge from blacks. Philly voting was completely based on race except Harrisburg college town.
For Obama, even dead people are voting, homeless gave their vote, who knows from where they came just one month before election.
Same had already started in IN. NC he is thinking he will take it, but he may see some suprise. Whites are not saying openly but they are bitter and blacks street behavior will make even Republican to vote for Hillary. In PA so republican did voted for Obama as they did in other states including Texas, MI, MS.
Now people are voting based on race PERIOD.
Obama fill buses from other states and bring them to his venues that is why we see 35000 people during his speeches. Today TMZ had video where dead Roy had donated money to Obama. Palestine had collected money for him. He is getting money from abroad. How he managed to by-pass that ?

from someone I know was in PA
<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->Here is what I think happened. Race was a factor and a certain amount of white people were afraid to admit that they were not going to vote for a black man, whether or not they were actually bigots - so this impacted polls. Then, the race got ugly and the intimidation tactics were out of control. People who supported Hillary were screamed at, insulted, had yard signs stolen, etc. If you went to rallies for her, you were harassed by Obama supporters who in many cases looked and acted like thugs, holding signs that said Go Home Clinton, and ruder things. They circled rallies in cars screaming "Obama" and "F*** Hillary". Anyone wearing a Hillary button or with a bumper sticker on their car suffered their own share of abuse. If you wrote a letter to the editor in support of Hillary or questioning Obama on anything and it got published, you or your family became the victims of harssming phone calls if your phone number was not unlisted.

So, would you tell a stranger who you were voting for if you supported Hillary? Yes, there are those of us who are simply not going to back down and will take whatever comes for supporting Hillary, but I truly believe there were a lot of people in PA who supported Hillary, but were afraid to say it (and you really can't blame them) and as a result, the polls were simply wrong, because people were either lying or when people refused to say, this showed up as an extremely large number of undecideds. In the end, perhaps some people were simply afraid to publicly support Hillary. <!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
