I am curious, what does the Shariah law say about killing banks? I mean, there is this process of "halal" for 'food' animals. There must be something for banks..(I am assuming these banks are the islamic kind. If they are the non-islamic kind, Shariah would not have any process for them, and in that case, I am sorry for asking the question, Allah meri tauba!)
Nareshji,
Last month, I told you, Bank is a nice start. And Pakis are on dot. They are slow in learning but they never disappoint me. <img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' />

Shambhu Ji :
The Excellent Progress being made by Pakistan has nothing to do with Sharia Law - not even Islam.
Pakistani Leadership in General and its Military Leadership in Particular are epitomized by the Character âColonel Cargillâ in Catch 22 by Joseph Heller - I think it is on Page 36.
Please read the following extract :
QUOTEColonel Cargill was a forceful, ruddy man. Before the war, he had been an alert, hard-hitting, aggressive marketing executive. He was a very bad marketing executive. Colonel Cargill was so bad a marketing executive that his services were much sought after by firms eager to establish losses for tax purposes. Throughout the civilized world, from Battery Park to Fulton Street, he was known as a dependable man for a fast tax write-off. His prices were high, for failure often did not come easily. He had to start at the top and work himself down, and with sympathetic friends in Washington, losing money was no simple matter. It took months of hard work and careful misplanning. A person misplaced, disorganized, miscalculated, overlooked everything and opened every loophole, and just when he thought he had it made, the government gave him a lake or a forest or an oilfield and spoiled everything. Even with such handicaps, Colonel Cargill could be relied on to run the most prosperous enterprise into the ground. He was a self-made man who owed his lack of success to nobody.
Now compare this with the situation in Pakistan where the You Knighted States along with the Western Countries, Japan & Saudi Arabia have poured in Scores of Billions of US Dollars and our Pakistanis have only Poverty, Over Population and Terrorism to show for all this Monetary Aid.

Pakistan don't have any institution like any other Islamist country except Iran.

Now they want Sahrif out of election, what they will gain or lose? Either make him President or pack him to Jiddah or give company to BiBi. Now Unkle is saying utility of Mushy is over, Sharif they never liked only they want to keep Saudi in good humor. Should we expect another round of happy hours?
US: Musharraf made âa number of mistakesâ
Washington, June 23
With Pakistanâs ruling coalition gunning for President Pervez Musharraf, the US has said that he made a ânumber of mistakesâ during his eight-year reign including imposing a state of emergency in 2007.
âI have said.... to him that he made a number of mistakes. And I thought that the state of emergency was a mistake,â US secretary of state Condoleezza Rice said in an interview.
The Bush administration official said that the issue of Musharrafâs resignation was an âinternal matterâ of the country but insisted that he âhas been a good allyâ and did a âgreat thingâ for his country by giving up uniform and bringing back civilian rule.
âThis is clearly a Pakistani matter. Heâs the President of Pakistan and weâll treat him as the President of Pakistan. But Pakistan is in a period now of bringing its new democratic institutions into being. They will work through these matters,â she told CNN when asked about Musharrafâs ouster during an interview whose transcript was released by the state department.
The PPP which leads Pakistanâs ruling coalition has already declared that Musharrafâs days as president were numbered with its chairman Asif Ali Zardari saying that he was planning a strategy with ally PML(N) for the Presidentâs ouster.
Rice added, âBut President Musharraf has been a good ally. He did a lot for Pakistan in bringing it into civilian rule. And heâs somebody that we will continue to treat with respect.â â PTI
