The LensOnNews pre-poll survey said the Congress was expected to finish third, with the Haryana Janhit Congress-Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Kuldeep Bishnoi tipped to win comfortably.
Indian National Lok Dal's (INLD) Ajay Chautala would be "a distant runner-up", the survey said. The Congress candidate is Jai Prakash.

Team Anna has urged Hisar voters to hand a "historic defeat" to the Congress for not supporting the Jan Lokpal Bill proposed by Anna Hazare.
Some may disagree but I condemn the manhandling of Prashant Bhushan in his own chamber in the highest court of the country. Goes to prove (i) Supreme court lawyers are in-sufficiently protected in their work premises. (ii) There is a price to be paid for freedom of speech in India - As anti-national as his remark may have been, he certainly did not deserve this in a civil and democratic society.

Did you condemn the attack on Dr.Subramanian Swamy and the filing of FIRs against him for his article "How to wipe out Islamic Terror"? Can your freedom of speech include the blatant aiding of the enemy? Do you agree with Prasant Bhushan that Jawaharlal Nehru's abject surrender to Islamic Pakistan by agreeing to the plebiscite is not treasonous? As a Captain don't you agree that Kashmir is an integral part of India? And there are more questions...

While I do not subscribe to views expressed by Prashant Bhushan in this instance, I feel freedom of speech is a birthright of every citizen and that includes Subhramanyam Swamy. The manhandling incident goes to prove that a few hoodlums can make a mockery of the safety of workers in the highest court of justice in India. To answer your question I do firmly believe that Kashmir is an integral part of India and India should not buckle to any pressure from outside forces or forces within.

Are the people quitting Anna Team mere machines to be manipulated by the Congress? If not, they must be corrupt and vulnerable! Secondly, you cannot ignore that Anna movement was largely 'used' by so many different vested interests. The Congress itself felt secure in placating him and promoting his method. Now they are receding one by one, I suppose. By this argument I would say that Anna who tried to eclipse others who were in the forefront against corruption would inevitably end up yielding to those very people to carry the fight against corruption. In the interim Anna's movement has also played well in retarding and sidelining the real fight against corruption.

You apparently fail to acknowledge the fear factor. The Government in power has the ability to do almost anything. While they may or may not use the government machinery to instil fear in others there are several other ways. Prashant Bhushan beaten up, Anna on maun vratha, two Anna supporters withdrawing and now Kiran Bedi under attack. How can you overlook all that??

I don't know if Congressmen beat up Prashant Bhushan as it is quite unlikely. After all he was only echoing the betrayer Nehru. Anna is on mauna vrat because the SC is after him on some misuse of money grant or some such thing. That could be a govt. set up. So also the others withdrawing and Kiran Bedi being hounded because Kiran was making fun of the govt. ministers and MPs and she had a hand in exposing the Congress plants one of whom is Abhnivesh. I don't see fear factor in any of these. I see politics at play in all these. And to cap it all MMSingh has already pronounced that Anna movement had lived its full life. He was meaning rest for it in peace if not the last nail on the coffer!

Advani's yathra has no focus because no one can say for sure if it is to agitate for the release of his comrades now languishing in jail on his sting operation to expose cash for vote scheme, or if it is against black money for he had already apologised to Sonia on his party going after her or if it is against corruption which is now being blunted by the arrest of Yeddy and an impending prosecution of Karnataka Home Minister or if it to placate himself as the future PM of the country for which there is a lukewarm support within his own party.
Which comes down to my contention that the fight against corruption and black money would be carried on once again by Dr.Swamy and Baba Ramdev. Don't you agree?

The fight against corruption isn't an easy one the malice is do deep routed within the veins of the political system. In fact, I would not be wrong to say this is the primary reason most take to politics. There are also others who long for power and fame. The legal system will need to be stricter and the fight without doubt needs to be unified and further intensified.

Corruption can be discouraged only when exemplary punishment is meted out to those who commit it. That is where the role of Dr.Swamy comes into play. There are already laws in this country providing for punishments but the ruling party has been flouting those laws with impunity. In fact using their power they pick the opposition legislators to inflict punishment on them, not to discourage corruption but to score political victory. Catching of these unholy politicians and punishing them is a very important but very risky, daring and persevering task because those in power would use it (as you have rightly pointed out)and use it mercilessly and vehemently against the people who oppose them. You can imagine how dangerous for anyone to fill the shoes of Dr.Swamy who is aiming at people like P.Chidambaram and Sonia Gandhi.
You can write any number of laws but if it is not possible to enforce it then it is not worth even the paper written on it. The CBI has been acting subservient to Sonia, the CJI was acting subservient and even the President of India is acting subservient to this foreigner. Do you have high hopes for the Lokpal to do any better? That is where Baba Ramdev comes into picture to gather people in a manner much different from Anna Hazare. BJP is not in the arena because it has drawbacks that militates against the campaign much the same way it is happening with Anna's team.

In India, today I was watching local News programme, they had ManMohan in center and Anna, RamDev, Advani etc surrounding him with Bomb as a cap/topi. And they labeled it as these Bombs are creating trouble and headache for Center.
I was shocked seeing these type of caricature of opposition. Media is still supporting corrupt Congress Party.
They don't care about corruption only their own interest, same is with Sectary level Babus in India. Very disappointing experience chatting with low life.

There is no free media in India in the mainstream. They are the kept press of Antonia Maino. People in general do know of this. These mainstream media bombard only the middle class who feel that the govt. policies benefit them and have turned blind eye to the high-handedness of the Congress. Many of them even supported them vociferously. With corruption and prices becoming unbearable and the job market getting volatile they are getting frustrated with the govt. A free and fair election will bring about the end of this govt. but free and fair election is a pipe dream in India.
