Such public burnings of heathens and heretics is called an auto da fe in christianism, an "act of faith".
Its what christomania does.
The pope is glad that this revered catholic tradition has been successfully brought back into practise among his dutiful italian catholics. First the indulgences, now the auto da fes.

March 16, 2009

http://specials.rediff.com/news/2009/mar/1...ce-the-heat.htm

In May 2008, Pakistan's tribal province of Orakzai was in the news. The majority Muslims did not allow the Hindus to cremate their dead at the place that had been the designated crematorium for over a century.
The next month, the Pakistan government signed a peace treaty with the Taliban. It was among many other such treaties and not much was made of it, especially since the latter agreed that it would recognise the writ of the government.

But in the next couple of months, the few Hindu families began facing the heat.

"It was like the smoke before the fire. The Taliban's presence was not very evident in the following two months. But things were becoming obvious. A group of locals who supported the Taliban gave us the distinct feeling that we were not wanted there," says Jagdish Lal Sharma, who says he is a Pandit from the region.

Though there were no direct threats, the Hindu families were never left in any doubt about their minority status. Sometimes it would be a warning not to stare at Muslim women for long, at other times, it would be the subtle coercion of the local administrators to sell their land when the situation was still normal. The families were weighing their options until October when they were asked to wear a red patch in their pagadis (turban).

"We were told Hindus are not supposed to wish a Muslim even inadvertently and that is why, in order to make it obvious for a passing Muslim that we were Hindus, we ought to have some element of red in our headgear," Hardwari Lal, who is now in Amritsar with his family of 13, says.

In Amrtisar, they found Surinder Kumar Billa, a local religious leader at the Durgaina temple in Amritsar, who has promised to help them get Indian citizenship.

Jagdish Lal Sharma fled with his wife and five kids:

I am a Pandit and also did some hakeemi on the side with natural medicines. There was no problem in our village till very recently. I had a very small temple near my home. One day, some other villagers came and said the presence of your temple is a threat to our religion. It should not be there. I pleaded with them to spare the temple but had no other option but to take the idols inside the house.
On October 2, we got a visa to India and I had a cousin in Amritsar. But the procedure is such that, I had to first go to Delhi -- where I knew no one -- and get my papers to come to Amritsar. You know very well how it is getting work done with the government. By the time I got the required papers to come to Amritsar, most of the money I had with me was spent.

It is a good feeling having at last come to Amritsar. The Punjab region is more or less the same on both sides. But we do not know how long we are going to be here. That is one issue we are worried about. The other is what we are going to do about our children. They do not know Punjabi and hence cannot get admitted to a school here. We have to find a way.

Our forefathers thought that staying back in Pakistan was a good idea. Now, we are thinking about our children and want them to grow up here in India.

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin--><span style='color:red'>'Our neighbours are behaving differently today'</span>

March 16, 2009

Hardwari Lal, 13 family members:

I had a general store in my village. I live in a region where the Hindus have slowly disappeared. By the time I left, there was only one other family (which has also moved to India.) I have four sisters. My main concern is to find a match for them. I want to marry them to Hindus.

Apart from this, my main worry is the land I lost. My family owned a considerable amount of land worth several lakhs. As things started getting worse, there was a lot of pressure on me to sell the land to the locals.

The government was helpless. The central authorities in Peshawar could not do anything to help me. It was the local authorities who called the shots.

The local tehsildar (revenue officer) struck the deal like he was supporting me, but finalised it for 10 per cent of the original price. I had no other go but to concede. The local authorities are nothing but political agents for the radicals in these regions.

They used to come knocking and say no photos, no pictures, no idols. We were forced to remove all the family photos and idols of gods though it was inside our house. That is when I realised how different these same people were earlier. Samay ka prabhaav padta hi hain? (Time takes its toll)

It is not like the liberals have disappeared and radicals have moved in. It is the same neighbours who used to be pillars of strength in the past year who are behaving differently today. That is what pains me the most. The only Hindus who are better off are those in the Shia-dominated areas. There Shias protect the Hindus like their own against the Sunni fundamentalists. One thing I observed is that the Sikh people are somehow getting along. I admire them for that.

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin--><span style='color:red'>'I never got wind of what is coming'</span>

March 16, 2009

Avtari Lal Sharma:
I am also a medical practitioner. Unlike these people, I moved to Peshawar about two years ago. I never got wind of what is coming when I was there.
These people (he is Hardwari Lal's cousin) then started telling me how the situation was getting worse in Orakzai. So, when they decided to leave the country, I also decided to go with them. I wondered whether I did the right thing then, but now I am convinced it was the right thing to do.

As I sit here talking with you, I hear that they have reached Peshawar and signed a pact there too. Peshawar is about 250 km from Orakzai. Only now I realise... what is 250 km in these days and times. I am thankful I am here.

There are still many people who are there and want to leave. Most of them do not have relatives in Delhi. They do not have the money to go to Delhi first and pay a lot to get a permit to visit Punjab, where most of their relatives are. The best thing the government can do to us is to give a Punjab visa so that we can directly come here.

Another reason why most people hesitate is the money. They don't have much to start with, and then the Rs 10 they have becomes Rs 5 in India. So people really do not want to take the risk of losing everything. They are waiting to see if things will go back to normal.

So, if India is really interested in the welfare of the Hindus, they should issue Punjab visas. That is the only way those who are not well off can escape to safety.

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin--><span style='color:red'>'There has always been shadow of the Taliban'</span>

March 16, 2009

Gulzari Lal Sharma:
I had a small shop. Things began getting worse before our eyes. I got really scared when they began enforcing the pagadi rule. They asked us to have some sort of red patch in our headgear. I do not know what purpose it would have served. All our neighbours knew we were Hindus. And we hardly left the village. It was really scary.

There has always been the shadow of the Taliban in the recent times in my place. In October it got really worse. The women in the family were harassed a lot. I had a little land and sold it for a decent price when I decided to leave the place.

The one thing I considered was the future of my children and when I thought about it, it was clear to me that they can't grow up in that environment. As we left, we were really worried about reaching Peshawar. Not just because we were Hindus, but that stretch was generally such a dangerous one and totally in control of the militants, even normal Pakistanis were scared to take that road.

We somehow made that distance of 250 km and reached Peshawar. From there we went to Lahore where we waited for our visas. The moment we got it, we left on the Samjhauta Express. Our permits are till 2010. Some have it till 2011.

These things are all in the hands of local authorities. All I hope for now is that we are not harassed when the duration lapses. We are pleading the Indian government for a right to stay here and hope we get it.

Now that that's out of the way:
If Italy has problems, it should just send the immigrants back. Not PC perhaps, but the fact of the matter is, it is Italians' land. They have a right to end all immigration, and deport people who are misbehaving. For instance, Europe ought to deport foreign muslims (including Serbia, which out to deport the so-called 'Kosovars' back to Albania whence they had influxed earlier). There is always the potential for friction between ethnic groups, and this is particularly the case in Europe. And Europe has always had a tendency to jump from Ultra Right to Ultra Left to Ultra Right. They don't know how else to deal with 'other' people. Avoiding the creation of the problem will prevent Europe from going back to the persecutions, pogroms and fascism that inevitably result from its inability to handle it.
Slapbang after the nazi fascist exclusivism, Europe opened the floodgates for immigration. This is not a natural mental evolution. It is the result of a guilt-trip that enforced an uneasy 'coexistence'; and resentment festers in Europe. And when Europe reaches boiling point, people die. In masses.

The best way to overcome all this is for Europe to face the fact of its character, that it is NOT ready for other peoples, and then for every European country to draw its borders and stop sending people across the border or allowing people in.
(But if Roma are christian/islamic, then sorry, Europe/west and Middle East have to keep them. Christoislamics are their problem, their people. Any Hindu/Dharmic Roma are welcome back to Bharatam.)

<b>HOWEVER,</b> how does the behaviour of criminals with Roma/Romanian/Albanian/whatever ethnicity or nationality excuse Italians burning to death a Sikh man sleeping on a bench? (Or burning anyone for that matter.)
This IS racism, because they are directing it at all people of foreign origin. It shows that they were never comfortable with immigration - that it was allowed unwillingly - and that at any point they could take it out on anybody and that all that was wanting for them to do so was an initiating reason.

I don't expect people/countries to take in other people. But if they do so, they should live with the consequences of their decisions (try to improve the situation, make the most of it) OR reverse it in a non-violent, non-hateful manner.

First of all ,it cant be denied that some nations are more advance in spirituality or morality ,while others have a huge number of criminal elements.Statistical speaking anyway.Same, it cant be denied that majority of crimes are comited by imigrants.
They cant send back people from other EU countries;they enter the club ,now they have to dance.
They dont make the diference betwin honest and dishonest imigrants and maybe they dont want to,thinking that imigrants steal their jobs.
Albanese are not guilty for being in Kosovo;they just converted to islam and in return(reward?) ,the turks colonise them in the serbian land.
Many imigrants think of revenge against the colonial past.Like maghrebians in France.Maghrebians want to return the favor of being colonise, thinking that is their right to steal form french(beside spreading nazi-madrasas all around),just like the french do some decades ago in north-Africa.
Europeans can understand only temperat people like themselfs(chinese for exemple),while tropical people are not accepted, africans and arabs are too agresive, indians are too weird.
You should not subestimate the ignorance of the people. Most of italians are ignorant and uneducated and surely have a fuzzy-blured vision of the "Orient" inhabited by primitive black people and the poor sikh was the simbol ofthe "orient":
-he have a turban probably-simbol of orient and a sure sign of a imigrant;
-he sleep on a bench so it was a homeless criminal;
-he was black ,wearing the satan black skin.
About the ideea of roma-gipsy returning to India(south-east part of India acording to genetic studies).Very probably 90% of europeans will be glad to send the romas back to India. Some even propose to raise funds to buy a land-area there and send theme there. While romas are mostly christians, they are very oportunistic and im sure they will convert to hinduism if they think this will give them some advantages(financialy especialy).

<b>The Death Throes of Pakistan's Hindus</b>

I just returned from a month in India during which time an incredible number of significant events were occurring. My primary mission in going was to document and raise awareness of the ethnic cleansing of Bangladeshi Hindus. I found plenty, including evidence of ongoing attacks on them both in Bangladesh and in West Bengal, India. The border between the two is so porous that terrorists and contraband move freely with and without the help of India's Border Security Force or West Bengal police. But I also witnessed the tragic beginning of the end for Pakistan's Hindus. Once one in five Pakistanis, they have been reduced to one percent of the population.

But as the Taliban take over ever larger chunks of that country, that remnant of a people is streaming across the border into Indian Punjab. The stream became a torrent with the Taliban's seizure of the Swat Valley earlier this year. Hindu refugees report attacks and threats by the Taliban, as well as officials telling them to leave the country "or else." The February agreement between the Taliban and the Zardari government ceded the area to the former and allowed Sharia law to be imposed on Swat's 1.2 million inhabitants.

President Obama has used this agreement as a model in his stated quest for "moderate Taliban." But not only does the agreement countersign ethnic cleansing, it also failed even before Obama's anticipated speech on US policy in the region. Just hours before the President spoke, one of the Taliban parties to the agreement, Tehrik e Taliban, abrogated it with a terror attack on a mosque in Pakistan's Northwest Frontier Province, and has engaged in other terrorist attacks subsequently.

One Hindi language channel quoted a Taliban spokesman confirming that his group was pulling out of the agreement not to attack elsewhere in Pakistan because, he said, it would be contrary to Allah's wishes to limit Sharia to the Swat Valley. Yet, no major media in India, the US, or elsewhere made this connection.

Even more shameful, no media or government has protested the ethnic cleansing of Pakistan's Hindus, who are being finished off by the Taliban. All governments involved in the region are just allowing it to happen, too. What kind of a world do we live in when India will not defend Hindus attacked for being Hindus; when the US ignores the atrocity; when not a single human rights group or the UN utters a word of protest?

What is happening to Pakistan's Hindus is a crime, but a crime that is largely accomplished. There remain 13,000,000 Hindus in Bangladesh subject to the same attacks, the same racist laws, and the same intention to eradicate them. Worse, the battle is spilling across the open border into India, and it is changing the demographic balance in the region. It is also allowing terrorists into the country whose intention is to undermine the very nation of Hindustan.

My mission is to prevent that, to prevent the murders and other atrocities, even if I am the only voice of protest to cry out about this crime against humanity.

HINDU VIGIL
POLITICAL PRISONER SERVED BEEF AGAINST HIS RELIGIOUS BELIEF

RECORDED INCIDENT

Hindu Rights Action Force (HINDRAF) leader P. Uthayakumar (in the picture)
has lodged a police report against Home Minister Syed Hamid Albar for
ignoring Hindu sensitivities after allegedly being served beef at the
Kamunting Detention Camp where he is being held.

In the report made last Wednesday, he accused Syed Hamid of lying in
saying that HINDRAF leaders, being Hindus, are not served dishes
containing beef in deference to their religion.

The minister had made the statement to rubbish previous claims by
Uthayakumar that the camp authorities had insulted Hindus by allegedly
serving dishes with beef.

Uthayakumar alleged that, despite the minister's statement, he had found
pieces of beef in the chicken sambal served for lunch on March 22.

"I was served chicken sambal with rice. I (saw) what looked like beef
pieces in the chicken sambal", he said in the report.

"When I checked with detainees working in the kitchen, they confirmed that
the beef sambal and chicken sambal were cooked in the same pot. (The
chicken was) dished out and put on separate tray and served to me", he
said in the report.

He also claimed that the authorities have yet to serve him meals
appropriate for a diabetic, despite knowing about his health condition.

Uthayakumar said he will now eat only bread and will not touch any food
cooked in the camp kitchen, in protest of the violation of my religious
rights as a Hindu and of his constitutional rights.

CASE ASSESSMENT

Hindus constitute around 7.1% of population of Malaysia. As a minority
group Hindus face different kinds of discriminations in the predominantly
Muslim country. The government of Malaysia had been pursuing an unofficial
policy of temple demolitions on one pretext or the other. The official
reason given by the Malaysian government has been that the temples were
built "illegally." However, several of the temples were centuries old and
predated many mosques which do not receive the same treatment. On October
30, 2007 the 100- year-old Maha Mariamman Temple in Padang Jawa was
demolished by Malaysian authorities. Following this Hindu organization
under an umbrella coalition HINDRAF organized protests bringing the issue
to the notice of the international community. The Malaysian government has
since then resoted on persecution of Hindu leaders under the guise of
various discriminatory laws. Shri Uthayakumar is one of five HINDRAF
leaders who have been detained under the Internal Security Act since late
December 2007.

SAMPLE LETTER
(Please do NOT use the sample letter verbatim)

The Right Honorable Prime Minister Razak,

I have learnt from media reports that political activist Mr. P.
Uthayakumar who is undergoing incarceration under the charges of
"sedition" in your country has been served beef for his meals. You must be
aware that Hindus revere the cow as mother, and a majority of them will
not go near beef, let alone consume it. Hindus have held this belief since
the time immemorial and is part and parcel of their faith, culture and
civilization. Just as feeding pork to a Muslim against his will is
violating his religious rights, which you must understand as a Muslim,
force-feeding beef to a Hindu is equally reprehensible and condemnable.

I request your honorable self to look into this matter immediately, and
kindly pass an executive order to stop this pernicious practice. Kindly
inform me as to what steps you have taken to ensure that the Hindu
prisoners are not harassed and their religious rights violated. I can be
reached via e-mail at _______________, and/or via phone at

Thanking you.

stream became a torrent with the Taliban's seizure of the Swat Valley
earlier this year. Hindu refugees report attacks and threats by the Taliban,
as well as officials telling them to leave the country "or else..." The
February agreement between the Taliban and the Asif Ali Zardari Government
in Pakistan ceded the area to the former and allowed Sharia'h law to be
imposed on Swat's 1.2 million inhabitants.

US President Barack Obama has used this agreement as a model in his stated
quest for "moderate Taliban." But not only does the agreement countersign
ethnic cleansing, it also failed even before Mr Obama's anticipated speech
on US policy in the region. Just hours before the President spoke, one of
the Taliban parties to the agreement, the Tehrik e Taliban, abrogated it
with a terror attack on a mosque in Pakistan's North-West Frontier Province,
and has engaged in other terrorist attacks subsequently.

One Hindi news channel quoted a Taliban spokesman confirming that his group
was pulling out of the agreement not to attack elsewhere in Pakistan
because, he said, it would be contrary to Allah's wishes to limit Sharia'h
to the Swat Valley. Yet, no major media in India, the US, or elsewhere made
this connection.

Even more shameful, no media or Government has protested the ethnic
cleansing of Pakistan's Hindus, who are being finished off by the Taliban.
All Governments involved in the region are just allowing it to happen, too.
What kind of a world do we live in when India will not defend Hindus
attacked for being Hindus; when the US ignores the atrocity; when not a
single human rights group or the UN utters a word of protest?

What is happening to Pakistan's Hindus is a crime, but a crime that is
largely accomplished. There remain 13,000,000 Hindus in Bangladesh subject
to the same attacks, the same racist laws, and the same intention to
eradicate them. Worse, the battle is spilling across the open border into
India, and it is changing the security arrangements between the two
countries, the demographic balance, and continuing the ethnic cleansing
there, too. It is also allowing terrorists into the country whose intention
is to undermine the very nation of Hindustan.

My mission is to prevent that, to prevent the murders and other atrocities,
even if I am the only voice of protest to cry out about this crime against
humanity.

Hindu Temple Attacked by Islamic Mob in Rampurhat</b>

                          West Bengal, India

RECORDED INCIDENT

On the evening of February 24, 2009, the day after the Hindu festival
Shivaratri, there was a cultural program in the residential temple of
Shyamal Das of Kamarpatti. At that time, 6-7 Muslim youths started
sexually harassing young Hindu girls attending the function.

The festival committee youths attempted to stop the harassment of the
minor girls, and the Muslims left the location. In just 30 minutes, 40-50
Muslims from a nearby locality appeared on the scene. The festival
organizers sensing an attack quickly locked the temple gates. The
attackers broke all the Hindu murthis/icons outside and destroyed the
Hindu worship altar. They could not break the icons in the sanctum
sanctorum of the temple, due to the heavy doors.

The victimized Hindu devotees became upset and started protesting. The
Hindus from the neigboring areas rushed in to the spot.At that time, the
police reached the location, and announced via loudspeaker that Section
144 of the Indian Penal Code had been enacted from that very moment.
Ironically, The Hindus were roughened up and removed from the spot.

The next day, the local Hindus took out a rally under the leadership of
Subhashish Chowdhury, protesting that the local Congress party leader,
syed Shiraz, aka Jimmi is facilitating the Islamist elements.

CASE ASSESSMENT

Such incidents have been taking place in different parts of India
particularly in the Muslim dominated areas. While incidents against
minorities are mostly cooked up and disproportionately highlighted in the
media, violence against Hindus goes unnoticed and unpunished. It is
shocking to learn that law enforcing agencies avoid taking legal measures
to curb such elements owing to the environment created by the votaries of
vote bank politics.

Appendix II. Guidelines for Writing Protest Letters

The following are guidelines for writing letters of protest. Please note
that these should not be considered as requirements. This is meant as an
instrument of learning and effective capability building.

The Protest Letter Checklist

___ [REQUIRED] The protest letters should be either neatly hand-written or
type-written or computer-printed (black and white), signed (in blue ink),
and mailed via regular postal service.

___ [OPTIONAL] Send the text of the same letter in e-mail to the recipient

___ [OPTIONAL] Send a copy of the letter to the local media (via postal or
e-mail)

___ [OPTIONAL] If you run a personal blog (e.g. on blogspot.com), post the
letter there.

___ [OPTIONAL] If you have myspace.com / facebook.com / twitter.com /
orkut.com profiles, post the letter there.

___ [RECORD-KEEPING] Send the text of your protest letter to Hindu Vigil
(via e-mail): hindu.vigil@vhs-net.com { hindu DOT vigil AT vhs DASH net
DOT com } ; your letters will be archived.

Framework for Writing Protest Letters

Do protest letters work? Yes they do. Governments, institutions and
politicians pay careful attention to letters, because they are seen as
markers of public opinion. Statisticians and pollsters quite often use a
mathematical formula of 1 protestor to 10 letters of protest (can be
substituted by phone calls) to 10,000 concerned citizens. Meaning 10
letters of protest can substitute for 1 protestor protesting (being
physically present), representing at least 10,000 persons who feel
strongly about the issue at hand. Thus, your single letter of protest is
statistically representing at least 10,000 Hindus.

Is writing a protest letter too trivial? No. It is not. Whether you are
working on minimum wages or a multi-millionaire dollar businessperson, or
an awfully busy doctor or a lawyer, or homemaker trying to manage a
chaotic household -- it does not take that long to write a protest letter.
Hindu Vigil staff has already done your homework for you. All you have to
do is to spend 10 minutes and write this letter, and make yourself heard.

Format and Style

Letters of protest need not be long or compare with professional writers.
They should be crisp and clean. They must be genuine and the message
should come from the heart. Just be yourself and do your best. You need
not be an expert. Just speak your mind as a citizen on clean paper in neat
print. For your letter to make an impact, all you have to do is express
your sincere concern about something that troubles your conscience -- and
end the letter with a strong request for action. Tell the recipient of
your letter you know that many of your friends and neighbors feel
likewise. Be brief. Be clear. Be done.

Write to a person

Letters are more likely to be read and answered if they are addressed to a
name rather than to the government in general. Get the spelling of the
name and the address right.

Use titles

It shouldn't matter, but it does. Most people happen to be vain. Use the
appropriate salutation. Present and former prime ministers are addressed
as "The Right Honorable." Premiers and cabinet ministers are "Honorable."
Heads of States, such as presidents, are "Your Excellency." Kings, Queens
and other monarchs are "Your Majesty." Judges are "Your Honor."

Be polite

Always be respectful. Maintain the high moral ground.

Be brief

A short letter is far more effective than a long one. Limit your message
to 2-3 paeagraphs, or one that fits about 3/4th of a normal page. Get to
the point.

Be personal

Use personal examples that support your case. Make references to your
background, interests, training or occupation.

Cite facts

Briefly give the background facts. Enclose relevant URLs off the Internet
or send scanned newspaper clippings. Be specific about your concern.
Mention victims of persecution or abuse by name if possible. Separate
facts from opinion.

Write neatly

Handwritten letters do make a bigger impact. Printed letters are second best.

Don't generalize, be specific

Write about one message at a time. Spend some brief quality time thinking about just what
the kernel of your message ought to be.

Request action

This is extremely important. Underline what you want the person, the
government or the institution to do. Always, always get the recipient of
your letter to do something. Ask them when you can expect a change. State
clearly you intend to follow up.

Close properly

Close your letter with polite words. Thank the person for the things you
know he or she will do right. Be sure to include your mailing address.

Categories of Protest Letters

There are two categories of letters that are of interest to HV.

a. A letter to an oppressive or unsympathetic government

A government may cloak itself in democratic terms and yet be viciously
destructive to the interests of the citizens. A letter to an oppressive
government or an abusive government official should make it clear that
many people are clearly unhappy.

b. A letter to an institution

Human rights institutions are set up around the world. Some do their work
better than others. Human rights organizations are specifically biased
against Hindus and Hindu Dharma (due to historical factors, and going into
those is out of the scope of this document). Former communists and
socialists have reinvented themselves as champions of human rights during
the post-Soviet phase, and these are least expected to give an ear to
human rights violations against Hindus. For the purposes of Hindu Vigil
you may accept this at face value. HR organisations are concerned about
the image they present. Their funding depends on their image. If its
officials are seen as rubber stamping nefarious forces within oppressive
governments, they cannot be effective and serve the people properly. They
know that. So do you. You should appeal to HR institutions or organization
in the name of principles they profess to uphold.

Some Final Considerations

If you do not receive a reply within a reasonable time, send a polite
query. Although state officials fail to acknowledge most of the appeals
that are written to them, don't be discouraged. Repeated messages get
noticed, processed and filed.  Every letter, whether acknowledged or not,
makes an impact. It tells the offenders that Hindus are watching their
actions and recording them. When you do receive a reply, acknowledge it
immediately as a matter of courtesy.

Any Hindu/Dharmic Roma are welcome back to Bharatam.)

this bothered me for a long time
then how should I deal whit violent gipsy? i mean maybe you have an answer because their are froum your race.

I try to find the cause of their violence,
could be genetic inclination for violence(a angry gene)
or the 500 years of slavery,
or the fact that they are poor(they they remain poor unlike everybody else?),
or because of their indian culture(indian culture predisposition to violence?),
or because low IQ

Seem that talking nicely and rationale, that making apeal to shame(gipsy will have a bad name),civilisation(lets go to school), nationalism or brotherhood doesnt work .

How should i deal whit the situation and not being a racist in the same time?

<b>UK Hindu vows to fight for open air cremation </b>

New Delhi:  Davinder Kumar Ghai, a devout British Hindu whose plea to be cremated in the open was turned down by Britain's high court, has vowed to continue his fight, saying the final rites of Hindus "must be done with dignity".
The high court Friday ruled that open-air funeral pyres are illegal in Britain.

"It looks like a conspiracy that the judgement is given when I am in India for medical treatment. But I will not give up. I will ensure that Hindus are given <b>a good death that is fundamental to their beliefs,"</b> Ghai, 70, told IANS in an interview.

<b>"I don't want Hindus to be burnt in a crematorium at the Thames or at a football field. The final rites of Hindus must be done with dignity. They cannot be bundled in a box," said Ghai, who is also the founder of the Anglo-Asian Friendship Society (AAFS).</b>

In his ruling, Justice Ross Cranston said The Cremation Act 1902 and its attendant regulations were clear in their effect:

the burning of human remains, other than in a crematorium, is a criminal offence.

However, Justice Cranston gave Ghai permission to appeal against the ruling.

"I will take the case to the Court of Appeal and also to the European Court of Human Rights. This is a fight to the end," said Ghai, who heads back to Newcastle late Saturday after a month-long stay in India.

<b>"I want my son to light my pyre in open air - my 16 samskaras (sacraments) to be fulfilled - this is my religious right," Ghai said. </b>

According to Ghai, Britain's Hindu national umbrella organisations, collectively representing over 560,000 Hindus, were supporting his review.

Ghai, who is the father of three children, had moved the high court to challenge a decision by Newcastle City Council in 2006 which said the traditional religious practice was impractical.

"Natural cremations will save grieving families from the spiralling expense of gas cremations as funeral directors are pledging to provide natural cremation services for a maximum of 500 pounds," he said.

"What happened when 200,000 cattle were burnt some years back because of the foot and mouth disease? Did that not cause pollution?" he asked.

Ghai said that at least 200 green woodland burial sites now operate in Britain and approved natural cremation sites in rural pastures would offer privacy to mourning families.

Ghai, who is also known as Babaji among his followers, said his body is weakened due to health problems like high blood pressure, asthma and diabetes, but his resolve is strong.

"These are pertinent issues. For instance, on the weekend Hindus cannot cremate a dead body because Jews and Muslims are given those days for burial.  <!--emo&--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='blink.gif' /><!--endemo--> They question why we didn't raise this when the regulations were imposed - the fact is we are peace-loving people, but our religious sentiments matter," he said.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

<b>Helpless Hindus of Pakistan & Bangladesh </b>

J.G. Arora

jgarora@gmail.com
Organiser
May 31, 2009

<b>It is tragic that though Sanatan Dharma, commonly known as Hinduism,
proclaims universal brotherhood and oneness of humanity, and addresses
entire humanity as divine children (Shrunvantu vishve amrutsya putraha - Rig
Veda: 10-13-1), most of the Hindus have either been killed or converted or
driven out from Pakistan and Bangladesh which used to be Hindu lands. And
those Hindus who are still left in Pakistan and Bangladesh are being treated
with disdain and discrimination; and are being denied even the basic human
rights. </b>

<b>GENOCIDE AND PERSECUTION</b>

Only a few centuries ago, Hindu religion and culture used to reverberate
from Afghanistan to Indonesia. Indian sub-continent including the present
day India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Afghanistan and even Zabol in Iran
was Hindu land, and had no Muslim presence till Muhammad bin Qasim’s Arab
army attacked Sindh in 711. After repeated invasions, Hindus lost the
present day Afghanistan to Muslims in 987. And the areas now known as
Pakistan and Bangladesh were lost to Muslims in 1947.

Pakistan comprised of two segments: East Pakistan and West Pakistan. In
1971, East Pakistan became Bangladesh, a separate country. Both Pakistan
and Bangladesh have been declared as Islamic republics.

Hindus have always been threatened and discriminated against in Pakistan and
Bangladesh on religious grounds. Though in 1947, Hindus accounted for 24 per
cent of the present day Pakistan’s population, now number less than two
per cent. Situation is equally grave in Bangladesh where Hindus numbered 31
per cent in 1947, but now number nine per cent. Most of the Hindus / Sikhs
have either been driven out, or have been killed or forcibly converted in
Pakistan and Bangladesh. However, in India, the present percentage of Muslim
population is much higher than that in 1947.

Pakistan and Bangladesh have never explained what they have done to their
Hindu population.

Hindus suffer constant threats to their lives, security and property in
Pak-Bangla lands. Many Hindu temples have been desecrated and destroyed in
Pakistan and Bangladesh. There are regular reports of illegal encroachments
on Hindu temples and lands, looting of Hindu property, discrimination,
persecution, molestation and abduction of Hindu girls both in Pakistan and
Bangladesh.

During 1970 and 1971, Hindus in East Pakistan (present Bangladesh) underwent
massive massacres by the Pakistani army and its collaborators. Over two
million Hindus are reported to have been killed in East Pakistan during 1970
and 1971 leading to Indo-Pak war in 1971. Besides, countless Hindu women
were dishonoured and kidnapped during this period.

As per Dr. Sabyasachi Ghosh-Dastidar’s book, EMPIRE’S LAST CASUALTY:
INDIAN SUBCONTINENT’S VANISHING HINDU AND OTHER MINORITIES, over three
million Hindus have been killed in the process of Islamisation in the area
now known as Bangladesh (formerly East Pakistan) since India was partitioned
in 1947. This loss of three million lives remains suppressed from the world.

Even now, Hindus are facing genocide, terror, persecution, dishonour and
atrocities in Bangladesh every day. And there is selective killing of Hindu
judges, professionals, teachers, lawyers and civil servants in Bangladesh to
smash Hindu resistance.

Human rights organisations like Amnesty International are silent spectators
of this blatant ethnic cleansing of millions of Hindus.

<b>FORCIBLE CONVERSIONS AND MARRIAGES </b>

The alarming trend of Muslims kidnapping young Hindu girls and forcibly
marrying them to Muslims is tormenting Hindus in Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Though Pak-Bangla media may occasionally report such atrocities, main stream
media in India observes scrupulous silence in this regard. To illustrate the
dismal situation, just one such example is given here. It was reported in
Pakistan’s premier English daily ‘The Dawn’ dated November 3, 2005
that 19 Hindu girls mostly from Punjab Colony, Karachi were missing from
their homes. Relatives of these girls believed that they had been kidnapped
and were being forced to change their religion, the press release added.

Columnist Irfan Husain’s write up entitled “Conversion Losses”
published in The Dawn dated December 3, 2005 relates the tragedy of Hindu
parents in Karachi whose three young daughters Reena, Usha and Rima of
marriageable age vanished in October, 2005. In a few days, the shocked
parents received a courier package containing three identical affidavits
from their daughters stating that they had converted to Islam and,
therefore, could not live with their Hindu parents. And father of the girls
just wailed, “We just sit and stare at each other. For us, life is
over.”

And this hopeless situation can be the fate of any Hindu parent in Pakistan
and Bangladesh.

<b>KIDNAPPINGS AND KILLINGS </b>

Even during the last few months, thousands of Hindus have been forced to
flee Pakistan, and take shelter in India.

Increasing incidents of kidnappings, robberies and forcible conversion have
rattled Hindu community in Pakistan and Bangladesh. Those unable to pay the
ransom are just killed. Hindu film maker Satish Anand’s kidnapping in
Karachi and recent release after payment of a huge ransom is just one of
such countless examples.

In April, 2009 Sikhs in Karzai in Pakistan were targeted to pay fifty
million rupees as Jazia, the tax levied on non-Muslims. As the victims could
not pay the said Jazia, their houses were looted and destroyed.

<b>DISCRIMINATION AND DISPOSSESSION </b>

Discrimination against Hindus is a fact of life as also a fact of law in
Pakistan and Bangladesh.

As per Constitution of Pakistan, only a Muslim can be the President or Prime
Minister of Pakistan. As per Bangladeshi Constitution too, only a Muslim can
be the head of the state.

The Vested Property Act was passed in 1965 as “Enemy Property Act” in
Pakistan. This law legitimized confiscation of Hindu property. After
emergence of Bangladesh in 1971, this Act was renamed as the Vested Property
Act in Bangladesh, and the state was made the owner of the Hindus’
property. This Act has legitimized the forfeiture of millions of acres of
ancestral Hindu lands. And Hindu lands and properties are being taken over
by the government (under the Vested Property Act) to be distributed among
Muslims.

<b>WAY OUT </b>

In 1950, Prime Ministers of India and Pakistan signed an agreement called
the Nehru Liaqat Pact under which both the governments undertook to protect
life, liberty, religion and safety of minorities in each other’s country.

But government in India is doing nothing in the ongoing genocide and
deprivation of Hindus in Pakistan and Bangladesh.

It is the Indian government’s legal and moral duty to ensure that as per
the Nehru-Liaqat Pact of 1950, and as per the United Nations Universal
Declaration of Human Rights, Pakistan and Bangladesh treat their minorities
in a human manner. India must also ask Bangladesh to repeal the Vested
Properties Act, and restore the lands and properties of Hindus to Hindus.

The United Nations Commission on Human Rights must also be approached to
redeem the situation. Denial of human rights to Hindus violates UN Universal
Declaration of Human Rights, 1948.

In Pakistan and Bangladesh, Hindus have only the right to suffer and right
to silence. Shockingly, the tragedy of Hindus of Pakistan and Bangladesh
remains untold by Indian main stream media.

India's callous inaction regarding the pathetic plight of Pak-Bangla Hindus
is disgusting. Killing of Hindus in Pakistan, in Bangladesh or even in India
is not taken seriously by main stream media, by government or by various
political parties or by human rights industry in India.

Is it because for some sections in India, only the terrorists,
anti-nationals and Pak-Bangla infiltrators are entitled to fundamental and
human rights?

<b>Empire's Last Casualty: Indian Subcomtinent's Vanishing Hindu and Other Minorities</b>

http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_leGDuVvav5E/SVrE...ualty+Cover.JPG Empire's Last Casualty: Indian Subcontinent's Vanishing Hindu and Other Minorities

Empire's Last Casualty: Indian Subcontinent's Vanishing Hindu and Other Minorities (2008) is a study of effects of religious communalism on a pluralistic, tolerant, multi-religious society. It focuses on the loss of indigenous Hindu population from the land of their ancestors; and on changes brought about since a multi-religious progressive region of <b>Colonial British India was partitioned in 1947, and its effects on Hindu and non-Muslim (Buddhist and Christian) minorities, on pluralism and on indigenous cultures</b>. After Britain's Muslim-Hindu partition of Bengal Province east Bengal became Muslim-majority East Pakistan, a part of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, unleashing regular, merciless anti-Hindu pogroms by intolerant Islamists. West Bengal remained in India, with Muslim minority and ever-growing massive Bengali Hindu refugee who turned towards left extremism. Following a 1971 war of independence against West Pakistan, Bangladesh gained independence, creating the second largest Muslim-majority nation. <b>That war was concurrently anti-Hindu and anti-Bengali genocide by Islamic Republic's army and its Bengali and Urdu speaking Islamist allies</b>. <b>The book documents the decade-wise "missing" Hindus from Bangladesh Census: over 49 million; larger than 163 of 189 nations listed in World Bank's April 2003 World Development indicators database, and between 3.1 million (larger than 75 of 189 nations) and 1.4 million Hindus lost their lives through the process of Islamization</b>. Documenting three million-plus lost lives have been painful and difficult; especially when Hindus cremate their dead. <b>Additionally rivers of the world's largest delta washed away signs of mass murder leaving no clue.</b> All attempts have been made to justify the data presented in the book, hardly-known to the world and rarely discussed in Bengal itself.

<b>who's killing indians in aussie-land?</b>
may 30th, 2009

as ghostwriter commented, where is all the fuss in the ELM about indians being killed by aussie convicts, as compared to the mea-culpas and breast-beating they indulged in when one nasty communalist and criminal (but naturally) from australia named graham staines was killed in india?

also, who is doing the killing?

here are my suspects in no particular order:

1. lebanese or other arab mohammedans. these guys have been running rampant, and the white police are scared of them. these people may have been recruited by mohammedan fundamentalists, say including the ubiquitous ISI (and musharraf's dog buster)

2. whites leftists who are now ruling the roost. they tend to be china supporters (kevin rudd, the current pm, speaks chinese and has a chinese son-in-law -- see, conversion by injection is infectious too!). these jerks are telling india: sign the NPT, become slaves of the chinese. whose influence? chinese.

3. random racist criminals who see the indians as easy marks

i am going to talk to a journalist friend in australia and see what he thinks.

btw, this would be a good time to kick out all the australians from indian cricket. i understand the racists blighters are making millions off the indian public.

what else can be done?

1. declare that all australian exports to india are now put on hold
2. declare that all australian nationals in india will be asked to report to the immigration authorities and put under protective custody for their own safety in case there is retaliation from indians
3. put a moratorium on all commercial discussions with australia until this issue can be sorted out.

if india had any backbone (but no fear of that with puppets on a chain in charge), we could do these things, and the convicts would grovel. this is similar to the treatment mahathir mohammed gave the limeys when they said something he didn't like. they immediately groveled and crawled and kissed his ass. i bet the aussies would kiss indian ass too. what do we have to lose? nothing other than the stupid uranium which they are not selling us anyway. but the convicts cannot afford to lose one of their biggest markets -- they would be even more dependent on china.

On a side note, some of the students are going to Australia not for immigration & better prospects but for the prestige-factor of foreign degree. But with the coldwar over in 90s and along with it the need to protect Indians from capitalist brainwashing, why didn't India open the gates for foreign universities to setup institutes in India yet?
With the rogue Arjun Singh away from HRD, Kapil Sibal seems to be making right noises. Here he is saying he will push the bill to allow foreign univs to put up their branches in India into parliament.

<b>Seer hacked to death in Puri</b>

Wed, Jun 3 05:00 AM

A religious leader who participated actively in the protest against the killing of Laxmanananda Saraswati last year was chased and hacked to death by unidentified assailants in Puri on Tuesday.

The police, however, ruled out any communal angle. "We suspect that he was killed over extortion money," said Puri Deputy Superintendent of Police Rajkishore Paikray.

The police said Ramcharan Das, famous as Mauni Baba, was feeding fishes at a pond early in the morning when the assailants chased him with sharp weapons. Paikray said at least 10 injury marks were found on his body.

The police said some local goons had been extorting money from the 60-year-old leader who used to live with his wife Pratima at his Gurukripa Ashram in Puri town. His wife told the police that the criminals had threatened him a few days ago with dire consequences if he did not pay up Rs 15,000.

The police have detained one person, identified as Panchanan Sahoo, on suspicion.

A popular figure in Puri, Das was an active member of the Matha Mahanta organisation of Orissa. <b>In the aftermath of Saraswati's killing last year, he took the lead in the protest against the VHP leader's murder.</b>

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin--><b>49 Million Hindus Forced to Leave Bangladesh since 1946 - Reveals book by US Professor</b>
02/06/2009 11:34:51

Empire's Last Casualty: Indian Subcontinent's Vanishing Hindu and Other Minorities (2008) is a study of effects of religious communalism on a pluralistic, tolerant, multi-religious society. It focuses on the loss of indigenous Hindu population from the land of their ancestors; and on changes brought about since a multi-religious progressive region of Colonial British India was partitioned in 1947, and its effects on Hindu and non-Muslim (Buddhist and Christian) minorities, on pluralism and on indigenous cultures. After Britain's Muslim-Hindu partition of Bengal Province east Bengal became Muslim-majority East Pakistan, a part of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, unleashing regular, merciless anti-Hindu pogroms by intolerant Islamists. West Bengal remained in India, with Muslim minority and ever-growing massive Bengali Hindu refugee who turned towards left extremism. Following a 1971 war of independence against West Pakistan, Bangladesh gained independence, creating the second largest Muslim-majority nation. That war was concurrently anti-Hindu and anti-Bengali genocide by Islamic Republic's army and its Bengali and Urdu speaking Islamist allies. The book documents the decade-wise "missing" Hindus from Bangladesh Census: over 49 million; larger than 163 of 189 nations listed in World Bank's April 2003 World Development indicators database, and between 3.1 million (larger than 75 of 189 nations) and 1.4 million Hindus lost their lives through the process of Islamization. Documenting three million-plus lost lives have been painful and difficult; especially when Hindus cremate their dead. Additionally rivers of the world's largest delta washed away signs of mass murder leaving no clue. All attempts have been made to justify the data presented in the book, hardly-known to the world and rarely discussed in Bengal itself.

<b>Pak militia imposes new jiziya on Hindus</b>
June 4th, 2009
PTI

Islamabad, June 3: Following in the footsteps of the Taliban, an outlawed militant group in Pakistan’s restive Khyber tribal region has imposed “jiziya” or religious tax on minorities living in the area, including Sikhs and Hindus.

The Lashkar-e-Islam, which was banned by the federal government a year ago, has directed every non-Muslim from minority communities to pay Rs 1,000 a year as jiziya or leave the Khyber Agency. The warning was issued earlier this week, media reports said.

Members of minority communities, including Sikhs, Hindus and Christians, have agreed to pay the religious tax. The decision to pay up was made at a meeting between Lashkar-e- Islam chief Mangal Bagh and a Sikh delegation on Tuesday. Mangal Bagh told the Sikhs that they would be fully protected from any threat if they paid the tax. A “jirga” or tribal council in Tirah valley, which was attended by elders of the minority communities, also decided to pay the tax.

Meanwhile, Pakistani troops on Wednesday stormed into two more major towns in the restive Swat valley, but six weeks into the offensive top commanders warn that though big towns could be wrested from Taliban within days, it would take another two to three months to totally defeat them.

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin--><b>Australia website calls for racial war, triggers tension</b>
5 Jun 2009, 0536 hrs IST, TIMES NEWS NETWORK & AGENCIES

NEW DELHI: A post on an Australian website urging a “hate offensive” against Indians has sparked fears that racial tensions may escalate.

The web comments by a Melbourne resident, Patrick O’ Sullivan, have been termed as ‘‘disgusting’’ by both Australians and members of the Indian community. In a post in November, O’Sullivan posted a comment on a neo-Nazi forum which said he was sick of ‘‘Dirty F**king Indians’’. ‘‘They infest the Melbourne area. I could write all day (about) how evil and putrid those scum are...one particularly infuriating thing about these curry ni**ers is their arrogance,’’ he said.

‘‘I think this may seem (to have originated) from the apathy of Whites not putting them in their place.’’ He also urged others to participate in a ‘‘summer hate offensive’’. In a post just before Christmas, he asked for people to call him if they wanted to participate. ‘‘For those of you in or nearby Melbourne, contact me. This summer a lot of Race Hate is occurring! RAHOWA!’’ RAHOWA is understood to stand for Racial Holy War.

Senior police told an Australian website that they deplored the web comments but said they doubted they had caused a spate of assaults on Indian students, despite members of the forum pledging to join in the “offensive”.

O’ Sullivan, who was jailed in 2002 for stabbing a man who accused him of not being a Nazi due to his Irish blood, told the website that the posts were not intended to incite violence and that he was now a peaceful man. He said his rallying call for a hate offensive was a peaceful way to recruit people into the Creativity Movement, whose website describes itself as a Progressive Pro-White Religion.

Amit Menghani, president of the Federation of Indian Students in Australia, has said he thinks the comments encourage curry-bashing, the term curry-bashing used to describe the assaults on Indians. ‘‘This kind of provocation must stop,’’ Menghani said.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
