Media In India/elsewhere -3 - Guest - 10-31-2011 The atrocious secular media is totally anti-national and anti-Hindu. They completely blocked the message of Advani's rath yathra but drives clevage within the BJP Advani rebukes BSY in public Media In India/elsewhere -3 - ravish - 11-02-2011 .I beg to differ. Not only the print media but also the electronic media has given substantial coverage to the Rath Yatra. I have no information about the private TV Channels of South India, but up in the North there are a number of TV channels which are pro BJP. Ms.Shaviti may be aware that BJP is quite a resourceful political outfit of India. It can finance any number of TV Channels and newspapers, just like other All India Political parties.I do agree that a number of supporters of the party are feeling uncomfortable with the present developments in Karnataka. Let us face the truth; corruption is not confined to any particular political party. It is today present in every sphere of public activity, of course with varying degree. So the anti corruption drive has to be directed against all, irrespective of party affiliation. With regard to the in fights within the BJP, it is a known fact that there is ego clash between top leaders and this has given rise to groups and sub groups within the party. This aspect is nothing specific to the BJP; it is present in all political parties in different forms. Of all parties the CPM lost the elections in West Bengal due to rampant corruption in its ranks. We Have to accept that power and corruption goes side by side. Media In India/elsewhere -3 - Guest - 12-04-2011 Here is something about Pankaj Mishra. We need to understand how to crititique it from a sociology point of view and then from an Indian interests point of view for the language of criticism is developed from Western view point. For starters read the works of a Ducth scientist Van Dijk on Newspapers. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teun_A._van_Dijk Quote:News as Discourse. Hillsdale, NJ: Erlbaum, 1988. Media In India/elsewhere -3 - rhytha - 12-18-2011 Sumish, also watch this on paid news from maharashtra elections...there are lot of social engineering going on with the corporate media.. NDTV's dawn-to-dusk costs Rs.25 lac per episode <img src='http://www.india-forum.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k3CrHaxm_f8&list=PLE54F6CE418C21603&index=1&feature=plpp_video Media In India/elsewhere -3 - simplyrohit21 - 01-04-2012 Not sure how is this going to turn out; already Network18 has a recorded and substantial anti-Hindu stance (even the movies funded by them have crypto-christian elements). Now, they've acquired the very nationalistic regional channel network of ETV which broadcasts responsible content (not sure about AP but at least in the Hindi belt that seems to be the case). Apparently the last few bastions of nationalistic media houses are also going to be sold out to cryptos. The fact that its backed by Reliance makes it no better;as such Reliance only favors what appears profitable to them. So apparently only internet would be left for independent opinion. Funded by RIL Trust, Network18 buys ETV channels ââ¬â from RIL Quote:Hereââ¬â¢s how: Broadcaster Network 18 on Tuesday announced plans to acquire various channels (some fully, some partially) of ETV for Rs2,100 crore, using money lent by Independent Media Trust, which is promoted by Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL). Media In India/elsewhere -3 - ravish - 01-04-2012 There is nothig to worry. There are several channels fully devoted to Hindu religious and cultural affairs. In the present day world, we cannot insulate children from western ideas and ways of life. One has to move with time and in the process old values will give way to the new ones. Many of us from the older generation will be able to absorb to some extent the new and foreign ways and ideas, while some will remain mute spectators. In Delhi on this ne year eve this change in our social values were very much evident outside the pubs in the Malls of Gurgaon and Noida. While in Gurgaon, the Police had to resort to Lathi charge to bring the situation under control and prevent molastation of a youngt lady out for a celebration with her boyfirend, in Noida Sec-18 market there was a brief exchange of fire between two groups of youngsters. This is just a glimps of modern and contemporary India. Media In India/elsewhere -3 - rhytha - 01-05-2012 The english media in India is a roit, the spin they put is depressing. I stopped watching all English news channels, I try to watch doordarshan or stick to the web for actual "News", the spin that TV studio journalist puts me off always. <img src='http://www.india-forum.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Media In India/elsewhere -3 - simplyrohit21 - 01-05-2012 Ditto. Note how it all becomes magically understandable, acceptable, deserved (even heroic?) when christo mob lynches muslim rapist. No bleeding hearts presenting this christian lynching as "innocent muslims victimised by communal mob" (but O Wee=NL expression if Hindoos meted out summary justice to christoislamaniac criminals for attacking Hindoo kind): news.sky.com/story/1439809/mob-lynches-rape-suspect-after-storming-jail Quote:Mob Lynches Rape Suspect After Storming Jail (Amazing how blame is insinuated onto the current Indian non-christian govt - not yet christian at any rate - for the christian mob lynching of the islamaniac.) Of course the Indian christomedia won't report on the above let alone moralise. But if, instead of a bloodthirsty christomob lynching an innocent muslim for alleged rape, it had been a Hindu group who took understandable revenge on a christoislamaniac rapist at last (after the incessant christoislamic rapes of native heathen women), then the Indian christomedia would be all over the incident, bleeding tears for the "poor innocent christoislamaniac rapist". And if it had been an illegal Bangladeshi to boot, christomedia and christocommunits would have demanded instant naturalisation for the islamaniac rapist's family, and used the faux-sympathy of christomedia's blitzkrieg to emotionally blackmail Hindus into total tolerance for all BD islamaniac violence and criminality against Hindus and Hindu women specially hereafter. Not to mention christomedia and christo parties would have ensured that the rapist's family would receive a Bharatratna or Padmashri or something (forgot which prize the spontaneously-combusted missionary Staines' wife bagged), been gifted land and dollops of taxpayers' money and more free rations for all illegal BD islamaniacs. But this happened in Nagaland instead, which is almost entirely christian, having bloodily ethnically cleansed and outright-genocided the native heathens of the place. Any mob in Nagaland is likewise entirely christian (well, duh). So Indian christomedia won't report on the above, and certainly won't condemn it. Rather, like UK SkyNews was careful enough to do, *if* at all the Indian christomedia were to report it as a major headline, it would not remotely call into question the morality of the mob in lynching a man suspected of a crime or to linger on the fact that he was one of the alleged "minorities" that christomedia always champions (doubly so if it committed violent crimes against Hindus). And the fact that he is an islamaniac only invites christian sympathy for the criminal when victims are Hindu and when the retaliating mob is Hindu, not when mobs are christist. Actually, were the christomedia to dwell on this particular incident, it would sooner present the christian mob as heroes and that christianism is therefore better for women on account of it avenging the islamaniac jihad against christian women, and contrast this with dhimmi secular/progressive or deheathenised Hindus who are famous for doing nothing (except whenever heathen Hindus do take revenge, the christomedia is out in full force demanding that Hindus be restrained from "rioting" against the poor "innocent" islamaniac terrorists. I.e. if Hindoos avenge Hindoo women, they are labelled "anti-minority/communal" and punished by the christian inquisition, if they don't do anything for their women, because their hands are so tied, they're labelled anti-women and christianism is held up as the protector or at least avenger of women's honour. Cheap mind trick). Like the christian genocide of heathens in India's northeast has been completely and carefully silenced by the christomedia, so too will the full import and the between-lines details of the above news be. More proof that Indian christomedia is a powerful PR machine for christianism esp catholicism: Indian christomedia does pro-christian PR and silences christian atrocities and genocides against heathens (and even lynchings of christians' own dear brothers in monotheism), whereas the same christomedia is virulently anti-Hindu. Same double-handedness in christomedia where "freedom of expression" is concerned: christoislamics have free reign to abuse Hindus and their heathenism, but Hindus may not say a word against christoislamoronism, or will get the police set upon them: - e.g. islamics got a Hindu lawyer arrested for alleged blasphemy against islamania on facebook. Christomedia carefully avoided reporting on this altogether. Compare with the staged melodrama over evangelist's daughter Doniger's anti-Hindu book being pulped by its own publisher to incite false sympathy with their christo cause. - e.g. christomedia and christo cinema censor Leela Samson went all out to promote the anti-heathen and pro-islamaniac-monotheism dawaganda of PK, but christos are all frantically preparing to gang up to get banned the western (British?) play exposing the christian murder of the catholic nun Abhaya (and exposing christian genocide of heathenism all over the world). The Rajeev2004 blog had some tweets on this last news some time before my holidays. - e.g. christomedia champions Teesta Seetalvad despite her criminality but silences Taslima Nasreen for being an ex-muslim critical of islam - e.g. the christian convert "Perumal Murugan's" compulsive lying against Hindus and their heathenism, his own choice to withdraw his obvious crap - clearly fearing exposure of his twaddle as twaddle so that gullibles don't fall for his output again - followed by the christomedia's championing of his lies and libel under the christian ruse of "freedom of expression". Compare that with the very recent news of churches in Bangalore setting the cops on a Bangalorean who allegedly questioned the nonsense of christianity on facebook. The church wants him disappeared for his "blasphemy". More proof that christianism=islam. timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/mangaluru/City-Police-arrest-Bengaluru-based-former-telecom-executive-for-hate-comments/articleshow/46459003.cms Quote:City Police arrest Bengaluru based former telecom executive for hate comments Apparently, it's not just christians in medieval christian Europe who were banned (on pain of death, but at least on threat of incarceration) from questioning christianism. Seems the same christo-blasphemy laws are in effect in unchristian India: non-christians in majority-unchristian India have no right to question the tenets of christianism. But then, what else can one expect from a state where the KryptoKrystoKangress still rules. Whether islamic sharia is in force in Karnataka or not, *christian* sharia clearly is. And then there's this ex-christian atheist often mentioned by the Rajeev2004 blog, whom the church also attacked (again using the christo blasphemy laws) for exposing its fraud: almayasabdam.com/church-misuses-blasphemy-law/ boingboing.net/2012/04/13/indian-skeptic-charged-with.html Quote:By Cory Doctorow at 9:12 am Fri, Apr 13, 2012 The christomedia is very silent on all this too. (More proof of how much of christomedia is catholic is in point 2 below.) 2. Much of the christomedia must be catholic media besides: Recently the Vatican released a statement condemning plastic surgery by comparing it with the burqa. (See the UK's Independent paper's "Plastic surgery is a 'burqa made of flesh', says Vatican document".) That is, the Vatican very clearly attached a negative connotation to the burkha. Not that I care, except the Indian christomedia maintained dead silence on that news as far as I'm aware. Meanwhile it attacked the BJP - Modi in particular I believe - when he earlier made mention of a Burqa: Quote:haindavakeralam.com/HKPage.aspx?PageID=17583 Christo congress and esp christomedia's silence on the Vatican's *clearly* negative statement on burqa - let's just call it an outright catholic attack on islam - versus christocongress and christomedia's hysteria over the relatively connotation-less use of burqa in ultra-secular Modi's usage of the term indicates that much of India's christomedia is Catholic Q.E.D. (and catholic Sonia's congressi govt is obviously catholic). Media In India/elsewhere -3 - Husky - 04-13-2015 Cross-posting from christianism thread. Archiving these links here may be better.
