State News And Discussion - 3 - Guest - 10-11-2010 Quote:Karnataka Chief minister B S Yeddyurappa, who faces an acid test today, has just entered the assembly amidst tight security. Following him was Speaker K G Bopaiah, who has been under fire from the Opposition for the disqualifying 16 MLAs. Deve Gowda is most corrupt family and why people elect them? State News And Discussion - 3 - Guest - 10-11-2010 According to PolitcsParty Quattrochichi son met Deve Gowda, Massimo Quattrochichi finances BJP topple. Quattrochichi runs import-export house from Bangalore with Congress and Deve Gowda alliance. If this is true, Deve Gowda and Sonia are biggest traitors in India. State News And Discussion - 3 - Guest - 10-11-2010 Quote:The Union Home Ministry is said to be concerned over developments in Karnataka and has taken serious note of them. Congress government is ready to abuse every single piece of constitution. Before Obama's visit, opposition should start chaka jam in Delhi, embarrass Congress. State News And Discussion - 3 - Guest - 10-11-2010 Quote:Violent scenes are being witnessed at the Karnataka assembly premises. State News And Discussion - 3 - Guest - 10-11-2010 Just in: Yeddyurappa wins trust vote The BS-Yeddyurappa government has won the trust vote amidst protests and scenes of violence in the state assembly. <img src='http://www.india-forum.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' /> <img src='http://www.india-forum.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' /> <img src='http://www.india-forum.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />
State News And Discussion - 3 - Guest - 10-11-2010 19 idiots should get ready for by-poll. They should not be elected again. State News And Discussion - 3 - Guest - 10-11-2010 link Quote:Those BJP MLAs who were disqualified are: Balachandra Jarkiholi, Belur Gopala Krishna, Anand Asnotikar, Dr Sarvabowma Bagali, V Nagaraju, Raje Kage, Y Sampangi, Nanjundaswamy, S K Bellubbi, H S Shankara Lingegowda and Shivanagouda Naik. State News And Discussion - 3 - Guest - 10-11-2010 Quote: the drama is far from over. State News And Discussion - 3 - Guest - 10-11-2010 link Quote:Adding more drama, the BJP has alleged that the son of Italian businessman Ottavio Quattrocchi has got into the act to destabilise its Government in Karnataka. State News And Discussion - 3 - Guest - 10-11-2010 Quote:Karnataka Governor HR Bhardwaj will examine Monday's controversial trust vote. Corrupt Bhardwaj is still busy. State News And Discussion - 3 - Guest - 10-11-2010
Corrupt Bhardwaj is still busy.
I don't think this is over yet. The court will most likely put a stay on the disqualification and the governor will ask or another trust vote and BJP will lose. Why blame the governor alone. He is definitely doing this at the behest of top bosses in Delhi. State News And Discussion - 3 - Guest - 10-11-2010 The court may not give stay but will consider the case. That will take sometime. Most probably the court will upheld the disqualification of the 11 members. Five independents will be contentious. However, as per speaker they already joined BJP and hence the 1/3rd applied to them. On top of that one Speaker asked them to appear in person with a deadline and they failed. That will also go in favor of speaker. Regarding Governer's partisan role, it is all for media and others only. No big deal because the rules have been clearly defined by SC in SR.Bommai case. Speaker is mighty powerful than Governer in these issues. One more thing there is no constitutal provision to undo Speaker's decision. The options before center are the following: (1) Put president's rule until all the legal issues are resolved. They cannot do it beyond a certain time unless they search alternatives. If they poach BJP for some more then Speaker can again disqualify those poached. To me the alternative to BJP rule is ruled out. (2) Pre-emptively go for assembly dissolution with President's rule. In this case even if BJP wins in court, only election will result. BJP has lingayat vote base. They may put CBI cases on Yeddi and first put him behind bars like Madhu Koda or Amit Shah and after that they will go to elections. Use desperate JDS as alliance and take seats from JDS strong holds then edge out BJP a la Rajasthan. State News And Discussion - 3 - Guest - 10-11-2010 Quattrocchi's son involvement is very interesting, it means Italian Mafia is destabilizing India. People of Karnataka should wise up this time. They should show door to Deve Godwa family. Unbelievable, this man had no shame. State News And Discussion - 3 - Capt M Kumar - 10-11-2010 Center has no choice but to dismiss Governor like they did in Bihar. Governor has already shown his bias by writing to speaker. The disqualified MLAs can go anywhere but nobody can change speaker's ruling which is within law. President's rule can't be imposed as CM has demonstrated majority in house. State News And Discussion - 3 - Guest - 10-11-2010 One more thing guys and gals here: You all know SC's direction via S.R.Bommai case and that is perfectily used by the speaker. On top of that one read the following SC judgement in case of Maharastra: http://indiatoday.intoday.in/site/Story/116025/India/karnataka-speaker%E2%80%99s-decision-inspired-by-maharashtra-counterpart.html Quote:The Karnataka assembly speaker K.G. Bopaiah's decision to disqualify 16 rebel MLAs including 11 from BJP under the provisions of anti-defection law was inspired from a ruling given by then Maharashtra assembly speaker Arun Gujrathi in 2002. Destabilizing a government using rebel-MLAs is almost coming to an end. Other than sound bites I will not expect any major upheaval. Yeddi survives for now but he has an uphill tasks ahead. State News And Discussion - 3 - Guest - 10-11-2010 Quote:The police department is contemplating action against Congress leader Siddaramaiah after the latter allegedly abused Police Commissioner Shankar Bidri in the assembly on Monday. Bidri told reporters in Bengaluru that unparliamentary language was used against him by the leader. Quote:The top leaders of the BJP are likely to meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Monday to discuss the ongoing crisis in Karnataka. The chief ministers of the six BJP-ruled states are likely to join them during the meeting. State News And Discussion - 3 - Guest - 10-11-2010 Quote:The Bharatiya Janata Party in Karnataka has decided to parade all its 105 legislators before President Pratibha Patil on Tuesday to substantiate its claim that it has the support of the majority of the members of the state legislative assembly. BJP leaders have decided to take this decision to put an end to Opposition partiesââ¬â¢ allegations that the party had fallen short of a majority and had resorted to arm twisting to win the trust vote on Monday. State News And Discussion - 3 - Guest - 10-11-2010 Quote:The top brass of the BJP are holding discussions amongst themselves to chalk out the future course of action for the party in Karnataka, where Governor H R Bharadwaj has sought Presidents rule. According to Bharadwaj, the confidence motion in the assembly, which was won by the BJP-led B S Yeddyurappa government, was not held in a proper manner. State News And Discussion - 3 - ramana - 10-11-2010 So INC is outosurcing its dirty tricks to Italian Mafia types. Any way what stops the Karnataka agovt from arresting the rascals and throw them in jail? To get them released the INC will have to display its connections. The big prroblem is Indians whine about things others are doing and do not use the pwoers that are already there with them to stop it. The State IB must have shadowed Deva Gowda and his cohorts. So when the Quattrochi jr was meeting him arrest him for bribing the opposition. Let him spend some time in jail and let INC get him released. State News And Discussion - 3 - Capt M Kumar - 10-11-2010 Yeddi can make his task simple by recommending dissolution of house and fresh election. I think people will people will vote for him and JDS and Cong may be dwarfed further. |
