सादे कपड़ों में भेजे जवान काबू

जम्मू : पुलिस ने पुरानी मंडी क्षेत्र से पथराव कर रहे प्रदर्शनकारी युवकों को पकड़ने के लिए एक साजिश के तहत सादे कपड़ों में तीन जवान भेजे जिनमें दो पुलिस और एक आरएएफ का जवान था। प्रदर्शनकारियों को क्षेत्र में उक्त जवानों की मौजूदगी के बारे में भनक लग गई। उन्होंने बिना समय गंवाए तीनों को दबोच कर बंदी बना लिया। देर शाम को सभी कर्मी रिहा कर दिए गए। वहीं दूसरी ओर पुलिस ने 15 प्रदर्शनकारियों को हिरासत में लिया, जिन्हें थाने में बुरी तरह से पीटा गया। दो युवकों को गंभीर हालत में जीएमसी में भर्ती करवाया गया है। जानकारी के अनुसार पुलिस ने एक रणनीति के तहत एसपीओ बलविंद्र सिंह, कांस्टेबल दिलावर सिंह तथा आरएएफ की तीसरी बटालियन की (डी) कंपनी को सादा कपड़ों को प्रदर्शनकारियों को हिरासत में लेने के लिए भेजा। प्रदर्शनकारियों को पुलिस के मनसूबे के बारे में पहले ही भनक लग गई और उन्होंने तीनों को दबोच लिया और एक अज्ञात स्थान में ले गए। हालांकि एपीओ तथा कांस्टेबल को तो शाम को रिहा कर दिया गया। जबकि राम नारायण को देर शाम छोड़ दिया। इसके अलावा एक अन्य कांस्टेबल त्रिलोचन सिंह को भी चोटें आई। उधर, पुलिस ने पथराव करने के आरोप में 15 युवकों को हिरासत में लिया है। युवकों के परिजनों का कहना है कि थाने में उन्हें युवकों से मिलने नहीं दिया जा रहा है और पुलिस ने उन्हें बुरी तरह से मारा पीटा है। पुलिस की मार से दो युवकों राकेश व गौरव कुमार को गंभीर चोट आ गई, दोनों का उपचार जीएमसी चल रहा है।

18 हजार पेंशन ले पाकिस्तानी होने के नारे लगा रहे गिलानी

जम्मू, जागरण ब्यूरो : छह बार राज्य विधानसभा के सदस्य के रूप में संविधान की शपथ लेने के बाद राय शुमारी की बातें करने वाले अलगाववादी नेता सईद अली शाह गिलानी हर माह पूर्व विधायक की अठारह हजार रुपये की पेंशन लेकर पाकिस्तानी होने के नारे लगा रहे हैं। यह कहना है उनके साथ राज्य विधानसभा के सदस्य रह चुके पूर्व रक्षा राज्यमंत्री व भारतीय जनता पार्टी के वरिष्ठ नेता प्रो चमन लाल गुप्ता का। दैनिक जागरण से बातचीत में प्रो गुप्ता ने कहा कि यह कांग्रेस ही थी जिसने वर्ष 1972 में जमात ए इस्लामी के गिलानी समेत चार लोगों को चुनाव जिताया था। राज्य में मौजूदा हालात के लिए कांग्रेस को जिम्मेदार ठहराने वाले भाजपा नेता ने बताया कि वर्ष 1972 में पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री व कांग्रेस के नेता मीर कासिम ने अपनी ही पार्टी के सादिक ग्रुप को दूर रखने के लिए जमात के चार लोगों को चुनाव में लाकर अलगाववाद में विश्वास रखने वाली ताकतों को शह दी थी। पूर्व रक्षा राज्यमंत्री ने कहा कि जमात को शह देकर कांग्रेस ने जम्मू-कश्मीर में दशकों पहले जो परंपरा शुरू की थी, उसे आज भी निभाते हुए केंद्र में सरकार चला रही यह पार्टी न तो गिलानी जैसे देश विरोधी लोगों के खिलाफ कुछ कर रही है और न ही घाटी में तिरंगे का अपमान करने वालों के खिलाफ कुछ किया जा रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि यह कांग्रेस की कमजोर नीतियां ही थी कि छह बार लोगों का जन प्रतिनिधि बनकर संविधान में विश्वास रखने की शपथ लेने वाले गिलानी उसी थाली में छेद कर रहे हैं जिसमें वे खा रहे हैं।

शहीद दीपक का अंतिम संस्कारबिश्नाह : दीपक शर्मा को नम आंखों के साथ हजारों लोगों ने अंतिम विदाई दी। श्मशान घाट पर दीपक शर्मा अमर रहे के जयघोष के बीच जब उसके पिता चमन लाल ने मुखाग्नि दी तो सारा माहौल गमगीन हो गया। ज्ञात हो कि बुधवार को दीपक बिश्नाह थाने में गिरफ्तारी देने आया था, गिरफ्तारी देने के बाद जब वह अपने साथियों सहित वापस जा रहा था तो अचानक ट्राली पलटने से वह शहीद हो गया। इस घटना में 15 अन्य लोग भी घायल हो गए थे। वीरवार को उनके पैतृक गांव रेहाल में दीपक का अंतिम संस्कार कर दिया गया। इस दौरान दीपक की तीन बहनें अनु, गुडि़या व पूजा सहित मां रेखा का रो-रो कर बुरा हाल था। इस मौके पर श्री अमरनाथ श्राइन बोर्ड संघर्ष समिति के संयोजक लीला करण शर्मा, पूर्व विधायक अश्विनी शर्मा, चंद्र प्रकाश गंगा, राज सिंह लंगेह, सूर्य देव सिंह, विनोद गुप्ता, काली नारायण दत्त शर्मा, सतीश भारती, मास्टर मदन गुप्ता, रमेश खजुरिया सहित हजारों लोग मौजूद थे। इस मौके पर लीला करण शर्मा ने कहा कि इस बच्चे का नाम शहीदों में लिखा जाएगा। उन्होंने कहा कि कुछ लोग इस संघर्ष में आत्महत्या करने की कोशिश कर रहे हैं जो गलत बात है। हमें अपने दुश्मनों को मारना है मरना नहीं है। इस मौके पर चंद्र प्रकाश गंगा ने 75 हजार रुपए का चैक लीला करण शर्मा को सौंपा।

ज्यौडि़यां, संवाद सूत्र : हम सोल्जर हैं हम एक्शन लेने पर यकीन करते हैं, न कि नेताओं की तरह भाषण देने पर। श्राइन बोर्ड की जमीन हम हिन्दुओं का स्वाभिमान है। यह शब्द जम्मू से आए ब्रिगेडियर सुचेत सिंह ने गांव धौंचक में कहे। उन्होंने कहा कि हिंदू 61 वर्षो से कश्मीरी हुक्मरानों के गुलाम रहे हैं और उनकी ज्यादतियां सहते आ रहे हैं। चाहे वह नौकरी की बात हो या फिर क्षेत्र के विकास की। उन्होंने कहा कि हमारे इस आंदोलन में छोटे-छोटे गांवों के दिहाड़ी लगाने वालों से लेकर दुकानदार तक इस मुहिम में साथ दे रहे हैं ताकि बाबा भोले नाथ की जमीन मिल सके। उन्होंने कहा कि मैं उन लोगों का धन्यवाद करता हूं जिन्होंने अपने परिवार व अपनी परवाह किए बिना इस आंदोलन को चलाने में सहयोग दिया। उसके बाद वे पवन सिंह व उसके परिवार वालों से भी मिलने गए, इस मौके पर उन्होंने कहा कि संभाग का हर डोगरा जम्मू के स्वाभिमान के लिए हमेशा आगे रहा है और आज बाबा बर्फानी की जमीन की खातिर भी पवन सिंह ने अपनी आंखों का बलिदान दिया। उन्होंने पवन सिंह की माता सीता देवी को आश्वासन दिया कि संघर्ष समिति हर पल सहायता के लिए आगे रहेगी। इस मौके पर उनके साथ पूर्व विधायक सहदेव सिंह, कर्नल शमशेर सिंह, दलजीत सिंह, प्रभुदयाल, अजय कुमार, रोहित सिंह, मनमोहन सिंह सहित अन्य लोग उपस्थित थे। बाद में उन्होंने खौड़ ब्लाक का दौरा किया।

जम्मू, जागरण संवाददाता : निक्की तवी क्षेत्र के 45 गांवों के लोगों ने लंबे समय से जारी बंद के चलते ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में गरीब लोगों को पेश आ रही दिक्कतों को दूर करने का बीड़ा उठाया है। रविवार को शास्त्री जी की समाधी स्थल सौहांजना पर हुई बैठक में निर्णय लिया गया कि गरीब लोगों तक राहत सामग्री पहुंचाई जाएगी। इसके लिए सभी गावों से सहायता मांगी गई है। बैठक की अध्यक्षता शास्त्री समाधी के प्रमुख संत गंगाधर ने की। बैठक में निर्णय लिया गया कि निक्की तवी क्षेत्र के सभी 45 गांव के लोग अपनी-अपनी ओर से खाद्य सामग्री व राशी का दान करेंगे, ताकि गरीब लोगों के लिए खाने की सामग्री जुटाई जा सके। इसी बीच विभिन्न गांव में सामग्री व राशि एकत्र करने की प्रकिया शुरू कर दी गई है। सौहांजना गांव के कुलभूषण खजुरिया ने कहा कि कुछ क्षेत्रों से राहत सामग्री पहुंच भी गई है। अगले कुछ ही दिनों में सभी गांव से सहयोग पहुंच जाएगा। यह सहायता फिर गरीबों तक पहुंचाई जाएगी। उन्होंने कहा कि बंद के कारण गरीब लोगों का दो जून का भोजन जुटाना कठिन हो गया है। इसी को देखते हुए लोगों ने एकजुट होकर उनकी मदद का बीड़ा उठाया है। इसी बीच सौहांजना गांव में रघुनाथ मंदिर की ओर से लंगर का आयोजन किया गया। यह आयोजन महंत शिव राम की अध्यक्षता में किया गया। उन्होंने बताया कि लंगर में करीब 1500 लोगों ने भोजन ग्रहण किया।

Police on Tuesday sent three infiltrators - Hindu policemen in plain clothes - in midst of the protestors for intelligence-gathering or for detaining the protesting leaders by ploy. However the alert youth got a wind of their plan and took all the three policemen hostage. They forcibly took them to an unknown location and detained them there, setting them free next day after a day in 'detention'. Policemen retaliated by badly beating the 15 youth which were in its detention in turn.

I saw a very distorted reprot from ANI on Sony TV news last night. The distortions were thay claimed that the Kashmir Valley separatists were protesting the <b>giving away</b> of land to Hindu pilgrims. She didnt mention it was a temporary lease for two months of the year.

Ramana, The lease is not to the 'Hindu pilgrim' which could be you or me any specific Hindu body in/out of Kashmir per se.
It's to a body that's headed by the state of Jammu & Kashmir itself, spearheaded by democratically elected CM of Kashmir (which's never been Hindu in past 60+ years of our independence)!

The agitation in Jammu over revocation of the allotment of land to the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board has taken an unprecedented turn. The only similar mass upsurge was during the Praja Parishad movement in 1952 to end the two dual constitutional provisions (thanks to Article 370) in Jammu and Kashmir that allowed two flags, a separate head of the state and separate laws.
The Bharatiya Janata Party has been supporting the agitation and the Congress's local leaders too have expressed their support for fear of losing Hindu votes. The agitation has seen small children with their mothers and grandmothers coming out on the roads with the tricolour in their hands and demanding that the land be given back to the SASB.

<b>Leela Karan Sharma, 68, a senior advocate of the Jammu and Kashmir high court for 41 years</b>, has been active in every Hindu religious organisation including the Dogra Brahmin Pratinidhi Sabha as its vice-president. He emerged on the national stage as president of the Shri Amarnath Yatra Sangharsh Samiti, which is leading the mass movement in Jammu for the last two months. His day begins at 6 in the morning and ends past midnight.

The agitation, which took shape on a modest note on June 29, has taken an expanse none had imagined. Can he control the tiger he is riding? Has it contributed more to divide society on communal lines? <b>He spoke exclusively to Tarun Vijay, director, Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee Research Foundation. </b>

'The agitation is an expression of accumulated anger'

What was the need to form this Samiti? Was it just the Amarnath land row?

Of course, taking back the land allocated to build facilities for Amarnath pilgrims was a great insult and was the spur for the movement. Now it has become an expression of accumulated anger against the (Kashmir) valley's discrimination for the last 60 years.

In every walk of life, Jammu is treated like a pariah, a discardable part just because we are patriots and lay our lives for the tricolour. As far as the land for Amarnath pilgrims is concerned, it has to be noted that we had not demanded it. It was the government which felt the need and passed the order to allocate land to another government body -- the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board.

Still under pressure from the separatists, the government took back its order, which was earlier signed by ministers belonging to Mufti Mohammad Sayeed's People's Democratic Party and the Congress. The state government was hesitant to give facilities to the yatris from the beginning.

Also this year, the governor, who is the ex-officio head of the shrine board, was changed midway through the yatra, resulting in confusion and mismanagement.

After the PDP and National Conference opposed the allotment of land, the new governor, N N Vohra, who is an old confidante of Sayeed, unilaterally took back the letter for land allotment to the SASB and handed over the organisation of the yatra back to the state tourism department on June 29.

The same day we decided enough is enough and took a vow to wage a battle till the land was given back to the SASB.

Did you anticipate this kind of response?

No, this has become the largest-ever mass movement I have ever seen. It's beyond my imagination. Children, old men, ladies and youngsters, all are on the road and it has become a self-propelled agitation growing every day. People are using novel ways and innovative methods to make it more effective.

'We have the support of various Muslim organisations'

It is alleged the movement has communal overtones.

It is all the propaganda of the valley's lie masters and Delhi's politicians who would have liked this movement to become a Hindu-Muslim issue. It hasn't so they are baffled and disappointed. No one believes the calumnious charges against us because we have the full support of various Muslim organisations like the Muslim Front, Jammu Kashmir Muslim Federation and Gujjar and Bakkarwal Muslim groups.

Apart from the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, the doctors association, bar association, engineers, other professionals active in various fields like IT, women's groups, Sikhs -- everyone has come out to support us unequivocally. The BJP and Congress, both are supporting us locally. Congress MLAs and MPs have publicly pledged their support to our demands.

Why did you block roads that take essential supplies to the valley?

We had only appealed for a Chakka Jam (blockade). Immediately, the army was deployed and supplies to the valley were restored. But no one speaks about the stoppage of supplies to Jammu. Why? We are still facing difficulties and essential daily needs are still not coming to Jammu.

In the valley, the separatists go on anti-India strikes every other day and life comes to a standstill. Nobody complains then, because the strike is against India.

When we agitate for securing national integrity and the honour of the tricolour, they complain. Secondly, people are not told that the separatists beat up truck drivers carrying supplies and burnt some trucks too.

'The separatists are blackmailing Delhi'

Have you seen the eruption in the valley? They say you are the reason behind revival of the anti-India agitation in the valley?

As if before the Amarnathji Yatra Sangharsh Samiti, they were great patriots and held the Indian tricolour high? Every now and then, for the last 60 years, these separatists have used their affinity to Pakistan to blackmail Delhi.

The central government must allow them to leave Kashmir if they are so keen to go to Pakistan. They will surely be treated worse than the Muhajirs were treated. Even US has changed policies toward them after 9/11. They can't get better opportunities outside India.

Don't you think if Jammu and Kashmir remains friendly to each other it helps the national interest?

Indian interests are served only when India lives in the valley. To safeguard Indian interests, the Centre will have to take Jammu's help. You have to strengthen Jammu to strengthen India in this region. After all, how long will we have to suffer because we are patriots?

Kashmir has become the gateway of terrorism in India. Someday this was going to happen and now is the time to take proper remedial measures without any fear.

Are you not being led by a political party? What's the role of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and BJP? Why did you stop BJP leaders from joining your rally?

We are a completely non-political movement supported by all parties, organisations and ideologies. We did not stop any leader of the BJP as none was coming, but have issued a clarification that for the August 23 rally we have not invited any BJP leader.

What's the next course of action? What will make Jammu return to normal?

We are beginning a complete non-cooperation movement on the Gandhian pattern and no Jammu citizen will pay taxes to the government.

As far as the solution is concerned, since day one we have just one demand -- give back the land to the SASB and we will take back the agitation.
