The so called confessions of Paravasthu Surya Narayana seems to be willful, deliberate and well thoughtout in fabricating lies (or someone else wrote this and got his rubberstamp.) In either case, what he writes is ridden witn inconsistencies, incoherence, and blatant lies. He seems to be confusing Christians with destitutes picturing them as outcasts. His picturesque description of the padiri running towards him with folded hands is laughable. Such descriptions are deliberate lies. His quotes from the "*Ethics*" “SARWA PAPA PARIHARO RAKTHA PROKSHANAM AVASHYAM THAD RAKTHA PARAMATMENA PONYADANA BALIYAGAM” gets me back five hits on google, and every hit points to his writings.

Rajesh ji, yes Andhra is flourishing with Christian activities because of YSR and cohort. While I was there I saw posters advertising "Joyce Meyers ministry" in every nook and corner of the city. Anything ranging from small pamphlets to large billboards screamed her name. All the ads cried out Joyce Meyers was talking about `Enjoying Everyday Life' - and did not use the word Jesus or Christ in the ads.

On the days she was talking, I saw quite a lot of 'church vans' shuttling people back and forth to the meeting place. But here is what I noticed most... While we on this side of the world are more worried about evangelist activities, it does not seem to bother the locals even a little bit.

sigh sunder ji

you captured the mood of andhra in your post , it is very very sad and true , personally have seen the districts in the south krishna ,guntur , the fertile delta of godavari fall prey to the abrahamic vultures, the reasons i feel are as follows

1.Andhra similar to Tamilnadu has a history of communist influenced hindu hating propaganda(please read it as upper caste bashing translated into hindu bashing)

It might take a long time for people to see they are hurting themselves .

though it is not as virulent compared to tamilandu it is still present , the testimony being the 20-30 seats the communist parties always manage to win and the naxalite influence in telangana.

2.The alarming thing is though the bulk of conversions are in the rich tribal belts of godavari , where there is lot of misplaced anger and in the rice belts , the upper castes are also increasingly getting targetted..

you would be shocked to see their organizational skills , take a look at this website

http://www.joshuaproject.net/

http://www.joshuaproject.net/religions.php...uagename&so=asc

they are targetting each and every small unknown castes in whole of india .in fact they have a comprehensive database of all castes all languages , percentage converted in the site , if you search carefully .

the above site also has a copy of the bible in local languages , songs in telugu tamil !!!!!!!!!

<!--emo&Sad--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo--> and there in the picture shown in hindu people are so oblivious to what they are up against.

YSR has literally handed off the state to the pastors , some his famous decisions being

1.Allocating land to christian organizations beside the holy bhadrachalam temple

2.Tirupati Temple prasad distribution given to a organization run by a kerala christian (covertly)

3.Giving a free hand to 7th day adventists to whom he himself belongs .

Sadly am today reminded of Ram Dhari Singh Dinkar Ji's lines (though they sound much better in Hindi )

Panchanya Naad Bheeshan Vikaral Maangta Hoon
Jadta Vinash Ko Phir Bhoochal Maangta Hoon

Pyare Swadesh Ke Hit Vardan Maangta Hoon
Teri Daya Vipad me Bhagwan Maangta Hoon

The Vatican has launched a sinister plot to destroy Hinduism and Islam.

Read all about it here:

http://www.burningcross.net/crusades/crusa...a-Cyber-crusade

Quote from the article:

"It has cast its covetous eyes on the billion Hindus to save itself. In the process, it is trying to use India, either by conversion or through subversion by having one of its own as the leader. <b>The Vatican's plan is to fight Islam to the last Indian.</b>"

(ARTICLE I FOUND ON THE NET)

Open Letter to Buddhadeb Bhattacharya

Dear Chief Minister of West Bengal Mr. Buddhadev Bhattacharya:

I have come to learn that there is some possibility of renaming Park Street as Mother Teresa street and erecting her statue.

I think this is a very bad idea. The image of Kolkata has been forever tarnished as a result of Mother Teresa’s activities. For greater details on why this is so, I would urge you to read what some neutral observers have to say about the lady. I have a few articles on the subject (http://are.berkeley.edu/~atanu/teresa.html) and I recommend a book by a son of Kolkata—Dr Aroup Chatterjee’s “Mother Teresa: The Final Verdict” which I have reviewed here. (see bottom of page)

We in India are totally brainwashed to accept uncritically anything that is Western and white. Mother Teresa, motivated by missionary zeal, used the poverty of the poor of Kolkata to enrich her mission. While I do not deny that India has abject poverty, she used that poverty and showcased it around the world not to solve the problem but to evoke pity from affluent people so that they would contribute to the welfare of her mission, not for the welfare of the people she so ruthlessly used.

I urge you to carefully review the evidence and reconsider.

Sincerely,

Atanu Dey

I have followed the Mother Teresa phenomenon with a sick feeling in my stomach because of a number of reasons. The primary reason for me is that she epitomizes what is the fundamental flaw that led to what we see in India around us today. The flaw is in not thinking through things, of busying ourselves with the symptoms of anailment rather than eradicating the cause.

Mother Teresa ceaselessly championed for uncontrolled breeding. She did her best to derail any serious attempt at addressing one of the primary causes of poverty in the developing countries, namely, the growth of human populations way beyond that which can be sustained at a humane level. All she wanted was that there be sufficiently large number of abjectly poor in a place so she could gather brownie points to assure her place amongst the sainted. As she honestly put it, if there were no poor, there would not be any reason for hermission to exist. The poor, she held, were blessed because they suffer.

I feel that she should be called Teresa, the Merciless. Millions will be forced lead miserable lives because of what she has done and the institutions she supported (the Vatican, primarily) and the institutions she has created.

I expect hate mail as a result of this post. But I hope that the writer of hate mail at least read some of the articles which I have provided the links to above. My request is that you send me hate mail only after you have honestly read the articles.

Mother Teresa: The Final Verdict — A Review

I am delighted that Dr. Aroup Chatterjee's book, "Mother Teresa: The Final Verdict", ends up in the small but select body of work that fails to endorse the winner of a rather special version of the much celebrated Keynesian beauty contest. Keynes had noted that in a contest where each judge votes for the contestant most likely to be chosen by other judges and therefore win, rather than voting for the contestant he (or she) finds most attractive, the winner could well be the one who is perceived to be the most likely winner and not necessarily the one who is the most beautiful. Keynesian beauty contests are a recurring feature in any population exhibiting herd behavior – from stock market speculators, to readers of gossip columnists, to political parties.

Mother Teresa is the undisputed winner of this particular 'beauty' contest. The challenge was to be the one who is most widely perceived to be the savior of the poorest of the poor. Note the operative word 'perceived' above. Never mind what actual good was done, or worse still, the real harm done to the poor. The game appeared to be one of taking in as much donations as possible from conscience-stricken Westerners by displaying as ugly a picture of India as possible, and seek as much adoration from the necessarily grateful but gullible Indian population.

Challenging prevailing notions cannot, by definition, be popular. But there are honest and brave people in any population. Chatterjee is not alone. He is in good company – Sunanda Dutta-Ray and Christopher Hitchens, to name a couple. Hitchens too has critically examined the MT phenomenon and wrote (in a 1993 article which appeared in The Nation magazine)

'The Pope is still fornicating with the Emperor,' wrote Dante in one of his pithier staves, and with M.T. one sees yet again the alliance between ostentatious religiosity and the needs of crude secular power. This is, of course, a very old story indeed, but when one surveys the astonishing, dumb credulity of the media in the face of the M.T. fraud, it becomes easier to understand how the sway of superstition was exerted in medieval times.

Committed people often sacrifice their own self-interest for the sake of the greater good. I could be persuaded that MT perhaps did that too -- but her greater good was the glorification of her religious beliefs. But her religious beliefs are not sufficient for ensuring the common good. Maybe she was well-intentioned, but that itself does not guarantee the common good. "Let me save you from drowning," said the monkey to the fish, as the monkey put the fish on a tree. The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

In a country that is suffering from the burden of extreme overpopulation, she single-mindedly advocated against birth-control. Not satisfied with the misery that was already the lot of millions in her adopted city alone, she took her mission global and tried to derail international attempts to stop the population explosion that is both a cause and consequence of poverty. It would appear that she wished to perpetuate, rather than alleviate, poverty and suffering so that her mission could continue into perpetuity.

I have heard that there exist beggar-lords. These are people who deliberately mutilate children so that these children will evoke pity in people and who would give more generously as a result of the mutilation they see. Unfortunately, these beggar-lords are not celebrated on the front pages of newspapers. For if they were, they would be out of that business. No one could ever imagine that the beggar-lords do it for some greater good. That is, I believe, the fundamental difference between them and the likes of those who inflict harm with a clear conscience. I think C.S.Lewis put it best when he noted that

"Of all tyrannies a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience."

The Spanish Inquisition was not so merciless because they were evil but rather because they were so convinced of their righteousness. MT was not plauged by doubt or moral ambiguity. She knew what her god expected her to do and she did it regardless of who she had to enlist the support of.

Dr. Chatterjee's book is a welcome addition to a growing literature on the MT phenomenon. Pointing out that the emperor's new clothes hide little is not very popular with the cheering crowd of admirers. One reviewer, Mr. Khushwant Singh, went so far as to claim that Chatterjee was spitting against the wind. But I believe that the wind will change. In an age where information is so freely accessible, the truth cannot be concealed too long. The final verdict, to my mind, is in but not fully known. Satyameva jayate!

Here is Ajit Jogi, the defender of xtian fundoos operating in tribal areas, but wants to check any hindu activities in the tribal areas. This government is indeed remote controlled and this party has totally been sold off to the xtian missionaries. Now that I think about it, its perhaps good that the lefties are in coalition or these crypto-xtians might have completely sold off the country to these fellows. Sonia is the Constantine of the last pagan bastion..

Togadia, Modi get death threat

February 01, 2006 00:16 IST

International general secretary of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad Pravin Togadia and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi received a combined death threat Tuesday, VHP sources said in Ahmedabad.

The death threat claiming to be from the "Christian community" was sent in a closed envelope that was sent by post to the VHP office, the sources said.

"The letter has warned both Togadiyaji and Modiji of dire consequences if they do not stop their anti-Christian activities. We have intimated the police and the state Home Department regarding this threat letter," a VHP local office bearer Abhay Singh told PTI.

The letter, handwritten in Gujarati, also threatens that the members of the "Christian community" would self immolate if Togadia and Modi did not change their stand against the minority community in Gujarat.

The threat letter also mentions that it was a "last warning" being given to the two leaders.

Incidentally Togadia just received a death threat via post three days ago and it had claimed to be sent from Osama bin Laden.

Modi also received a "threat" and "abusive" email in December and police did arrest a Delhi-based man Omar Siddiqui in this connection but he was pardoned by the chief minister on Monday on compassionate grounds.

With valentine's day around the corner which brings usual street fights between Bajrang Dal / ABVP and lovers which in the end brings bad name to Bajrang Dal why don't we adopt different tactics now on.

* To start with, Bajrang Dal / ABVP are not against lovers in principle. They just against this Christian idea of influencing people.

* Distribute following story from History Channel in pamphlets in front of the shops preparing for valentine's day celebration The History of Valentine's Day

* I just saw the following news today that Vasant Panjami is very auspicious day for marriage. Vasant Panchami has couples in knots. Promote this as alternative to valentine's day since it is auspicious.

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin--><b>Woman held for conversion</b>
Jabalpur Mp | January 29, 2006
A young woman, believed to be among 22 tribals from Dindori district of Madhya Pradesh who were being taken to Nagpur for being converted, has been accused of encouraging conversion of tribals to Christianity.

City SP Siddharth Chaudhary said Prabha Gaund's arrest has taken the total number of accused in the case to four.

<b>Three preachers, associated with the Church of Nazreen</b>, were arrested from a lodge here in the wee hours yesterday while camping along with the tribals on their way to Nagpur for a religious congregation.

<b>Prabha has been accused of encouraging conversion in the name of teaching at schools in Dindori.</b> Documents related to promoting conversion have been seized from her possession.

''Ten tribals admitted to embracing Christianity, <b>while three others agreed to being given inducements of work and money to attend 'Changai Sabha'</b>,'' Mr Chaudhary said.

He said the tribals and the accused had revealed the reasons behind conversion during all-day interrogation yesterday.

Jabalpur residents, Pravin Pawar and his son Sanat Pawar, and Dindori-resident Macleen Masih were arrested under section 420 of the IPC and section four of the Madhya Pradesh Freedom of Religion Act yesterday.

Can you please xlate and give background for this song ?

Christian Missionary Role In India - 5 - Guest - 02-02-2006

Rajesh,

I will let ben Ami have the last word on this. But this is a song by Tagore and has a decidedly western tune, very pleasant though. Probably the tune is based on some old english tune.

Meaning:
I recognise you, recognise you, O the foreign born one (Videshini)
You who live across the ocean, O the foreign born one.

Christian Missionary Role In India - 5 - Guest - 02-02-2006

yes thast more or less (there's no such thing as a perfect translation) what it means.

tagore often used to make melodies out of harmonies. ie. pick up a western tune, generally some folk song, and then pen a bengali song where the tune changed in exactly the same way the scale changed in the western original.

famous examples are "poorano shey din-er kotha" (discussion of those old days)... which was taken from the celtic Auld lang syne, and "phooley phooley dooley dooley" (song used in Ray's "charulata") which is from a hungarian folk song.

Christian Missionary Role In India - 5 - Guest - 02-02-2006

oh yeah the background.... that song (ami chinni go chini) is sung to one lady called victoria Ocampo who helped Tagore a lot when he fell sick in Argentina.

but the background thats really interesting is of the song "Ei monihaar amar nahi chahey" (i dont need this honour) which is the song he penned in protest against the jalionwallah baag massacre and went on to reject the knighthood (monihaar/honour).

the other one is "aakash bhoraa shoorjo tara" which was written when J C Bose's contribution was overlooked and marconi given all the plaudits.

<b>Evangelism taking worrying proportions in  Punjab </b>
Gurufateh Singh

Punjabi Channels have Evangelism Shows which are translated in  Punjabi.
Animated Films and books on Jesus in Punjabi are freely shown/available  in
Punjab.

Jesus is called Satguru, Church is called Satsang, Choir  Singing is called
Kirtan. Same names but meaning is totally different.

A  Church has a choir of boys in turbans. The idea is to first ween people
from  Sikhism with minimal variation in their exsisiting belief.

As it Jesuit  schools and Hospitals do their best to convert people when they
are  vulnerable, young and helpless.

Sikh Bodies have to realize the damage  being done in rural Punjab. More so
with Majbee Sikhs. I bite my tongue as I say  this as in Sikhism there should
not be such a segregation.

Moreover  Christianity is more permissive. This is the general perception.

As we  donate Millions to various charities it is important that we also look
towards  this problem. We have to make an effort to make Parchaar more
widespread. Our  Social Institutions need to be toned up. More below:
PS.Hindus were also made fool of by missionaries, now  its Sikhs turn!
