HYDERABAD: Christian groups attacked the Prasads Imax theatre, here, where the controversial film `The Da Vinci Code' was to be released here on Friday.

Angry protestors arrived an hour before the scheduled time of the show raising slogans against the film and broke the windowpanes of the ticket counter in the plush multiplex. Dubbing the film "a devil's code", they forced their way in demanding the management to immediately stop the screening.

However, Public Relations Manager of the multiplex Chris Kishen claimed that they had decided to cancel the screening of the film in the morning itself. "We had even put up notices prominently in the theatre, but the protestors did not appear to have seen them," he maintained.

Asked why the screening was cancelled when the High Court had cleared the decks for its release, he said "it being a sensitive issue we did not want to take any risk. Further, with a couple of blockbusters being released the same day and a large number of people thronging the multiplex, we thought it would affect them as also our property."

The Saifabad police booked a case under Section 147(unlawful assembly) and Section 427(damaging property) based on a complaint lodged by security incharge of the multiplex Adinarayana. Archbishop of Hyderabad diocese Marampudi Joji was unavailable for comment as he was in his `annual recollection', a practice wherein clerics refrain from any kind of communication with others for three days.

President of <span style='color:red'>United Front for Dalit Christian Rights G. Alfred said the incident only reflected the growing resentment against the film. "Different groups are reacting in different ways. We do not know who directed them to do so," he said.
</span>
Meanwhile, the State Government is contemplating filing of a writ appeal against the court verdict quashing the ban on the film.

With the High Court giving the green signal for the screening on Wednesday and theatres already engaged for this Friday's releases, the film's distributor Sony Pictures had little time to go for a State-wide release and managed to zero in on the Prasads multiplex alone for a low key release.

So can I expect Shabana and assorted traitors to show the same zeal in defending freedom of expression now as they did during the Water and Fire controversies?
<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin--><b>Fight is against a concocted history of India</b>
By Subramanian Swamy

When Ron Watts, a Christian missionary from USA was ordered to leave the country by the Madras High Court based on a report submitted by the Dharmapuri TN District Magistrate—highlighting on his unacceptable and nefarious activities, Watts landed up in New Delhi and went straight to meet Smt Sonia Gandhi. He then flaunted his photograph with her to all and sundry.

They propagated that we are a nation created by invading foreigners, divided by tiers of assimilation such as Aryans, Dravidians, Scthyians, Mongols etc.. A community which loses it’s self-esteem and respect for it’s past achievements on imposed ignorance is always a sitting duck for conversion to another faith.

Ever since Smt Sonia Gandhi entered Indian political arena, the foreign Christian missionaries have become emboldened to strut around the country rubbishing Hindu icons and even flouting Indian laws. In this matter, demeaning of the Hindu religion, there is a parallel activity of Islamic terrorism today, but that activity is not in tandem with the Christian missionary game plan.

Our concern here, however, is with the long-term clash of Hindu religion, culture and civilisation with the Christian onslaught through foreign missionaries following the termination of the clash of civilisations.

The clash of civilisation with Islamic terrorism is a medium term conflict that will be decisively won by anti-terrorist coalition including the US, Israel and India, with passive support from China and Russia, and especially once the substitute for crude oil extraction, viz. the hydrogen fuel cell technology, becomes commercially viable.

Thereafter, the Vatican and it’s storm troopers, the Opus Dei, will go “hell bent” to launch on a major conversion drive, to enlarge Christian faith the world over, and in Asia, in particular. The Vatican today is alarmed at the rapidly declining adherence to Christianity in Europe, and hence is in search for unsuspecting populations the world over to convert to Christianity. India is an obvious place.

In this activity, Smt Sonia Gandhi if positioned in government even then, will be the patron “saint”. Even today, she is lending a helping hand to dubious foreign Christian missionaries to pursue unhampered their activities in India.

When Ron Watts, a Christian missionary from USA was ordered to leave the country by the Madras High Court based on a report submitted by the Dharmapuri TN District Magistrate , highlighting on his unacceptable and nefarious activities, Watts landed up in New Delhi and went straight to meet Smt Sonia Gandhi. He then flaunted his photograph with her to all and sundry. Very soon, thereafter, the Dharmapuri DM changed his stand in court, and the Madras High Court order was reversed. Ron Watts was allowed to stay.

Similarly, another dubious foreign Christian preacher from Palestine (domiciled in US), Benny Hinn, came to Bangalore to hold a public congregation. He was given State honours by the then Congress government in Karnataka, allowed to hold his gathering in the restricted area of the Indian Airforce grounds, with the entire Cabinet led by the Chief Minister seated on the chairs before the dias, to seek his blessings. Hinn’s miracle cures of the terminally sick has been now exposed as a fraud by the Bangalore Police in leaks to the media. But Hinn remained unfazed, and concluded his congregation with a public declaration of gratitude to Sonia Gandhi for his state honours and facility.

Foreign Christians have already a plan of action to convert Hindus to their religion. One is Operation Joshua exposed by the Tehelka weekly. This operation is based on a detailed mapping of the Indian population according to the postal PIN code.

The other is the gathering of all Christian organisations working abroad that took place in Dallas, Texas, USA on September 19, 2005. On that occasion it was resolved to convert 100 million Hindus within 10 years—cost being no constraint. Any one wanting to build a Rs. 10 crore Church building in a rural area of India, for example, has just to ask.

So how should Hindus respond to this challenge and the implicit clash of religions?

I have already indicated in my earlier columns this clash will be not a hot one, but a cold war of a clash of propaganda and subversion. Hindus have already been through one round of this clash in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries when Christian missionaries backed by the Imperial occupying power, mutilated our history books and demeaned our civilisational achievements so that Hindus would lose their already diminished self-esteem—diminished earlier by the atrocities of the rapacious Islamic hordes. They propagated that we are a nation created by invading foreigners, divided by tiers of assimilation such as Aryans, Dravidians, Scthyians, Mongols etc. A community which loses it’s self-esteem and respect for it’s past achievements on imposed ignorance is always a sitting duck for conversion to another faith.

But Hindus survived this onslaught because of preachings of divine sanyasis such as Swami Vivekananda, Maharshi Aurobindo, Swami Dayananda Saraswati and Kanchi Shankaracharya Sri Chandrashekharendra Saraswati. Not more than two per cent of Hindus converted to Christianity despite having been oppressed and enslaved by Imperial Christian power for over a century. Hindus became poor, but for a few, they refused to convert.

Hindus can combat the coming clash of religions by a combination of developing a new mindset of virat Hindutva and by building an armoury of counter arguments to undermine the theological self-assurance of the foreign missionaries. This latter strategy is classic and vintage Hinduism, known as shasthrarthas, by which Hindus won over persons of other religious persuasion by arguments and debate.

We should, therefore, now prepare this armoury of counter arguments for fighting the coming clash of religions.

The long term plan is to change the Indian Vedic text as the basis of conversion and make without showing the false base of new alternative.
They may make the Indian text as the foundaiton of the christianity.

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->Christian Evangelism in Thirumala Tirupati

Hindu society is holding its head high with self-respect because of people
like you practicing sadachara. Even so the attacks mounted by other
religions on Hinduism are repeated day after day. This is most painful to note.

The recent events that took place in Tirumala Tirupathi are disheartening to
every Hindu. It is stunning to find that nearly 50 Christian families are
settled on Tirumala hill and no less than 20 persons of Christianity are
employed in TT devastanam.

These families conducted Christmas prayers on the Tirumala Hill, which goes
to prove the complacency of the TTD Board. <b>These Christian elements are
audacious enough to distribute Christian pamphlets to devotees going to
Tirupathi Temple.</b> What is the Devastanam's vigilance department doing? Such
brazen acts on the part of Christians makes one suspect that these people
are willy-nilly supported by the TTD Board.

Added to this sad state of affairs is the latest move by the authorities
recognizing Tirumala as a township with the temple jurisdiction restricted
to 27.5 sq.km. This move it is widely believed that this step is meant to
make way for construction of Church(es?) on Tirumala hills.<b> Above events
lend evidence to this belief. Otherwise what is the reason to reduce the
sacred seven hills area of 243 sq.km to 27.5 sq. km? </b>They're by drastically
reducing the jurisdiction of Devastanams? Reducing the Lord Venkateswara's
seven hills to two hills is an affront to religious sentiments of Hindus.

<b>The Vice-Chancellor, Dean and other functionaries of Padmavati University
are believing Christians and they are forcing the students to participate in
Christian Prayers, taking them to Church in vehicles owned by the
University, conducting Christian religious propaganda in SV University
Hostels, distributing Christian literature in educational institutions are
some of the Christian activities that deeply perturb Hindu community. </b>

The offerings made by devotees in Lord Balaji's Hundi should be used only
for Hindu religion, spiritual activities. With that object in view the Hindu
Dharma Prachara Samstha was started in the year 1968. But later in the year
1982 the word Hindu was removed from its name changing it to Dharma Prachara
Parishat. The motive behind the change in name is to divert the huge funds
offered by the devotees to Lord Sri Venkateswara as token of their religious
devotion to populist Government schemes.

<b>As a part of that move Rs. 500 crores worth of Hundi money is ought to be
diverted in the name of "Irrigation Bonds".</b> Going the way Govt.
misutilization of public funds. How the religious funds are going to be
spent in any one's guess. Thus to divert the money offered by devotees with
specific religious motives to non-religious purpose is clear case of
subversion of Hindu religion.

Tirumala is the most sacred place. To convert it into a tourist,
recreational center as the Govt. is planning, is the sure way to ultimately
make it in to a pleasure resort. This is reprehensible.

If the sacred Tirumala Temple Township is degraded in this fashion, where is
the place left for Hinduism? What is the fate of Hindu Society?

Let us all wake up before it is too late. Let us resolve to fight out to
protect the sanctity and property of sacred TT Kshetram through all possible
democratic means. Let us resolve to denote all our mite and might in this
regard.

<b>Some Evidence from Telugu News Papers</b>

1.  Bus No. AP11 Z 1130 belonging to RTC left Tirumala at 5.30 P.M. on
Sunday 9.4.06 for Tirupathi. One Balaraju boarded the bus along with three
others. They carried a handbag full of Christian Literature and started
distributing the same to the passengers. The passengers objected to the
distribution of Christian Pamphlets. Among those who objected was one Mr.
Aravind a resident of Parimala Apartments of Kothapet, Hyderabad. (Andhra
Jyothi – 10 April, 2006)

2. Christian Propaganda in S.V.University – Students confront the Pastor:

on 11th April 2006 students belonging to TNSF and ABVP students unions
obstructed the Christian carrying on propaganda within University campus.
The enraged students vehemently opposed pastor Devasahayam and his cohorts.
For the past two years a student in mate of room no. 126 of University
Hostel E-Block has been conducting Christian gatherings by inviting priests.
He is inducing some students to join the meetings. Offended by this
unbecoming action, other students demanded the instigator to stop the
activity. On Tuesday (12 th) the Christian propagandist came to conduct
meeting as usual. Students confronted him and told him to stop evangelism.
Hot expelled exchanges took place and the students expelled the intruder.
(Andhra Jyothi – 12 April, 2006)

3. Search for Christians in TTD Employees Quarters:

Christians residing in Tirumala are under surveillance. They were asked to
leave Tirumala. As per the rules of TTD, Non-Hindus are barred from taking
part in the work of Tirumala Temple or other Hindu religious programmes.
Non-Hindus cannot be employed in Tirumala Temple establishment. Further as
per the rules conduction non-Hindu religious propaganda or programmes in
Tirumala will be considered an offence. In view of this, the TTD Officials
have started identifying those employees who converted themselves to other
religious after taking up job with TTD and such persons are mooted to be
moved away from Tirumala. So far the officials identified some 20 non-Hindus
staying in TTD employees quarters.          (Andhra Bhoomi – 15 April, 2006)

4. Sleepy Vigilance… TTD top brass displeased on Christian propaganda in
Tirumala:

Higher Officials of TTD feel that the failure of vigilance department led to
the recent spurt in Christian propaganda in Tirumala. It came to their
notice that some TTD employees converted to Christianity under various
allurements played host to the evangelist activities. As such they are
investigating the details of employee converts. Devasthanam Executive
Officer Mr. Narayana Sarma and special officer Mr. Dharma Reddy are
reviewing the situation that to the Christian activities in Tirumala. (
Andhra Jyothi – 11 April, 2006)

5. Another bunt of Christian propaganda:

A fresh round of Christian propaganda led to thence situation in Tirupathi.
Christian evangelist swarmed on different institutions belonging to SV
University, Padmavathi women's University and other TTD run colleges on
Thursday conducting aggressive propaganda. Reacting to this predatory
activity students and general public confronted the evangelists under the
leadership of Ramesh Naidu, the ABVP National Executive Committee member. As
a result tense situation prevailed at various colleges. Nearly 30 women and
10 males were going round colleges to conduct Christian propaganda right
inside college premises. They specially chose EAMCET exam centers to conduct
their propaganda. (Eenadu…….. 5 May,2006)

6. Christian propaganda by TTD's AEO – A devotee Complains to EO:

"The TTD is one of the largest religious institution in the world. A top
official such a famous institution, like the AEO is resorting to Christian
religious propaganda" – complains a Hindu devotee named Ramana hailing from
punganur to the EO of TTD Mr. APVN Sarma. Ramana made the complaint while
participating in the "Dial you EO" programme conducted by the Television. He
complained that Mr. Jayaram, AEO of TTD is propagating Christian religion."
A person in high rank in TTD working against TTD pains me" says Ramana.
(Vaartha… 6 May, 2006)

7. Ropeway proposal cleared by TTD:

The proposal of constructing a ropeway from Alipiri to Tirumala Hills to
facilitate tourist is cleared by the TTD Board. The Board allocated two
acres of land to the Tourism Department constructing the Agama advisory
committee. Thus way is cleared for the Ropeway.  (Eenadu Daily)

8. Govt. covets Balaji's wealth – attempts afoot to divert Rs. 500 crore:

The Government is eying the huge funds of Lord Venkateswara to finance its
popularly schemes. It is trying to divert Rs. 500 crore of TTD funds to
deposit in Irrigation Bonds. In the past Government passed some statutes to
prevent such diversion of TTD funds. The present Government seeks to change
those statutes. The Government proposes to change the name of "Hindu
Religious Endowment" to "Religious Endowment" to remove hurdles to its
proposed diversion of TTD funds. (Eenadu Daily)

9. Surveillance on non-Hindu religious propaganda on Tirumla surroundings –
E.O.:

The EO of TTD Mr. APVN Sarma said that as per rule 196 of TTD Act, no other
religious propaganda is allowed within 10.33 Sq miles area of the Kshetram.
As per rule 197, those who reside in Tirumala Kshetram and those who work
for TTD must be Hindus by religion, he said. (Vaartha… 12 April, 2006)

<i>NOTE : The total area covered by the seven hills collectively called
Tirumala are Seshachala, Vedachala, Garudachala, Anjanachala,
Vrushabhachala, Narayanachala, Venkatachala, is about 100 Sq.miles
(250sq.kms). whereas the Rural Development Department of Panchayatraj's
prohibits non-Hindu religious propaganda only in that area. Why so?</i>

1. Anti Hindu propaganda on Simhachalam – Villagers Oppose: Religious
conversion is carried on surreptitiously on Simhachalam Temple vicinity.
Some persons belonging to a foreign religion have been conduction evangelism
among the tribal area of Simhachalam and other localities for four days a
week. They are carrying religious conversions not only among the tribals but
also among the devotees visiting the Simhachalam Temple. (Andhra Jyothi…. 9
May, 2006)

2. Anti Hindu Posters in Bhadrachalam Ramalyam: The Temple authorities are
perturbed to find posters propagating are (non-Hindu) religion within the
Rama Temple premises. On the festival occasion of Hanumat Jayanthi, devotees
gathered in huge numbers found these obnoxious posters and informed the
temple authorities. <!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

RELIGION-AP-PROPAGATION-ARRESTED (NATIONAL)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tirupati, June 26 (UNI) Four nuns were arrested from the premises of Sri Venkateswara Ruia Government Hospital on charges of alleged proselytism.

According to hospital sources, the nuns, who visited the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) funded government hospital, asked the patients of their names and details to perform 'healing prayers' in a local church last night.

The hospital staff and attendants asked the nuns not to indulge in such an act and leave the premises.

This was the third incident. On two earlier occasions, nuns had indulged in evangelical activities in Tirumala hills and at the Sri Venkateswara University.

Based on separate complaints made by the hospital superintendent Abdul Salam and duty doctors, the Alipiri police arrested the nuns, the sources added.

The Specified Authority, the highest decision making body of the TTD, had urged the state government, two days ago to enact a law prohibiting propagation of any religion or faith on the sacred hills of Tirumala except Hindu Dharmic activities and Venkateswara Vaibhavam.

The authority also sought a penal provision for violation of the proposed law with imprisonment upto two years and Rs 2,000 as fine.

Meanwhile, activists of BJYM, BJP and Dharma Parirakshana Samithi (DPS), staged a dharna in front of the Hospital Superintendent chamber, protesting against the alleged 'conversion' activities.

Warangal, July 1: Framed pictures of Jesus Christ and Virgin Mary in the Thousand Pillars Temple complex at Hanamkonda shocked hundreds of devotees here on Saturday morning. The picture of Christ was found right under the banyan tree near the famous Hanuman idol where prayers are offered on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The devotees immediately alerted the temple authorities.

The temple’s head priest Gangu Upendra Sharma who was offering the Maha Abhisekham to the Shiva Linga at that time, rushed to the spot and took stock of the situation. By 8.30 am the police arrived and removed the photographs.

The Rurdreshwara Seva Samiti, a body formed of temple devotees, took serious exception to the alleged desecration of the temple by other religious activists. Samiti leaders Cholleti Krishnama Chary and Ravula Sudarshan demanded that the security at the temple be increased in order to prevent such incidents in the future and also maintain the sanctity of the temple.

Activists of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) immediately converged at the temple and raised slogans against Christian religious preachers. VHP’s district president N. Bhaskar Rao said that the temple authorities had failed to check Christian religious propaganda which was going on for the last three days near the temple. They later lodged a complaint at the Hanamkonda police and demanded that action be taken against the culprits.

“We will wait for two days. If the police fails to take action, we will launch agitation in the city,” the VHP leader threatened. Speaking to this correspondent, Hanamkonda sub-inspector Madhusudhan said, “It was an act of mischief mongers. We will seriously inquire into it and book the culprits.” He said that he had not received any information or a complaint regarding Christian religious propaganda near the temple.

“The temple authorities did not bring any complaint related to the alleged religious propaganda near the temple,” he added. Meanwhile, the authorities of the Archaeological Survey of India, which maintains the historic temple, lodged a complaint with the Hanamkonda police station to inquire into the incident.

The Christian organisations in the city refused to comment on the incident and dismissed it as a non-issue. In a separate statement, BJP district unit leaders G. Premender Reddy, and M. Dharma Rao condemned the incident as highly objectionable and demanded action against the culprits. “We will launch an agitation against the desecration of Hindu temples after the elections in the district,” they added.

In addition to the agitation and protest, the VHP, BJP, other hindu organizations and activists should make a counter-attack, by placing/painting hindu symbols, mantras, slokas, and deities on the church walls and inside the church premises! The good time to do this would be on a saturday night, so that the church-goers who come in for the sunday mass can have their first, good darshan of hindu gods and scriptures before they go in for their mindless weekly exercise of reading out of a fiction they call the bible. For example, the Luz church and the santhome church in chennai both offer large wall spaces to accomodate nice good-sized murals with hindu themes.
<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin--><b>CHRISTIAN AGGRESSION IN TIRUMALA/TIRUPATI</b>
By: S V Badri

Christian poachers always start from a corner, the borders and outskirts of any important Hindu pilgrim town. And then slowly infiltrate cancerously into the core. Tirupati is no exception. Christianisation started at Tirupati West, while Tirupati East remained predominently Hindu. Not any longer. The cancer has spread virulently from West to East. Like the aggressive religion itself. The six churches (they call it Prarthana Mandiram/Devalayam) that pepper the Bangalore- Tirumala Bye Pass Road stand  testimony to the reach of these proselytisers.

The christists always work on a long-term plan. They have the patience and the money to plan for a hundred years. And their goal is nothing but proselytisation of the most brazen variety. They have a knack of placing their people in the right place. Like Antonia Maino-Mary at the centre. And Y Samuel Rajasekar  in the State of Andhra Pradesh (Please stop calling him a Reddy who is a respectable Hindu denomination because if we Hindus continue to refer to him as Reddy, it is an insult to self-respect of honourable Reddys ). The likes of Y Samuel Rajasekar are the notorious satellites that hover around that destructive mass called Antonia "Mary" Maino.

In just two years of his rule, Y Samuel Rajasekar has done more than what his string- pulling-pastors could have prayed for, in facilitating infiltration of christists and crypto-christists, specially in Tirumala-Tirupati Devasthanams  (TTD) and in the Institutions run by the exclusive donations, Hundi offerings of the devout Hindu Bhaktas.

If Antonia Maino is a disaster to the sacredness of Bharatvarsha, the likes of Samuel Rajasekhar are more dangerous as these are the henchmen who go about the task of destruction and devaluation of Hindu institutions and values with renewed devotion to their "Antonia Mary-Mata". And this fanatic bond increases with every unit increase in the rate of conversions.

The church is using its fanatic modern day crusader, Y Samuel Rajasekhar to silently devalue the most revered Bhagawan Balaji's Mandir and His institutions. I am presenting a few samples:

GAMBLE, AS YOU PLEASE, AFTER ALL, IT IS HINDU BHAGAWAN'S MONEY

Under Y Samuel's first moves, the TTD's  forward trading contract with the syrian christian, G.B.Mathews and his firm JGR Wealth Management for the procurement of the Prasadam material for Bhagawan's Ugranam meant that the christist now can utilize the Bhagawan's money to gamlbe in commodity-a-la-stock exchange. Naturally, a part of the huge commission he gets goes for conversions, as a true christist. And the loss in the commodity exchange gamble is always debited to Bhagawan. He can afford it despite His outstanding payments of interest on the loan taken for His divine wedding from Kubera !

Gone is the annual tender system and the opportunity for the devout Hindu traders to subsidize materials for the Bhagawan's prasad. Believe me, some traders in the past are said to sell their wares at cost price or even incur a small loss as their contribution to the Mandir out of their Bhakti for Bhagawan Balaji.

JESUS IS JUST A CALL AWAY - TTD's MONEY FOR TELE MEDICINE FACILITY TO A CHRISTIST HOSPITAL GROUP

The Frontier Lifeline Hospitals, Chennai run by Dr K M Cherian was the preferred Institution chosen by Samuel Rajasekhar to set up the Tele-Medical facility with the Devasthanam's money and the active participation of one of the premier institutions that runs 100% on TTD's money - The Sri Venkateshwara Institute of  Medical Sciences (SVIMS). Now, it time for medical gospel online, folks. Great.

CONVERSION FACTORY TO COME UP WITH THE CURRENCY FROM BHAGAWAN BALAJI'S HUNDI

For the proselytisers, hospitals are for the service of their merciless Lord, who either wants you to follow him or condemns you to eternal damnation. This hospital "service" is usually in the guise of service to the poor and deprived. Every christist hospital is a conversion factory in itself.  Converting gullible and very poor Hindus, who are lured into  treatment. Sugar-coated sisters take over the role of pimps for the pastors. And the pastors broker for the christ. The poaching-peddler of god takes over the control of poor and ailing man's mind. Finally, baptism precedes before the hospital bill is taken up for silent settlement by the respective church denomination. Therefore, the nurses and the hospitals become important in the christist scheme of what they continue to claim as evangelism, but in fact is proselytisation. A violence perpertrated on the very weak when he is almost down and out. As forced gratitude, his family follows suit. Therefore, Hospitals and Nurses act as special tools of proselytisation.

Y Samuel Rajasekhar has drafted a plan to allot 150 acres of land for a hospital facility near Renigunta, Tirupati. Sri Venkateshwara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS) has been asked to collaborate with Dr Cherian's Frontier Lifeline Hospitals. The complex will have a nursing college, meaning perinnial supply of proselytisation facilitating nurses - this will be a real night-in-gale for the poor Hindus. Very clever. Use Bhagawan's money to wean Hindus to christism. Bhagawan's currency to run a christist missionary. Add to this the Medical camps in remote villages that gives these travel agents to heaven  access to a vast database of innocent Hindu population.

THE facilities at the Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS), Tirupati, would be upgraded with an investment of Rs 120 crore.

The amount will be shared equally by the State Government and the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD).

(Rs.60 crores of our Hindu money is going to be employed fruitfully to convert our own Hindus)

Agreeing to the proposal, the Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, who chaired the 20th executive board meeting of SVIMS on Thursday advised the board Chairman, Mr T. Subbarami Reddy, to take up the necessary construction activities.

The Chief Minister asked officials to identify 150 acres of land near Renigunta for expansion of SVIMS. The executive board of SVIMS proposed a medical college, increase in seats in certain medical, paramedical and nursing courses, affiliation of frontier lifeline services and other institutions with it and permission to conduct a mega medical camp, according to an official release

HENCHMAN'S HENCH MAN

If Y Samuel Rajasekar is Antonia Maino-Mary's henchman in christianisation of the TTD, Samuel has his henchman at Tirumala - Dharma Reddy, the Officer on Special Duty (OSD) appointed by him at Tirumala. The Office of the Joint Executive Officer (JEO) in Tirumala is a very powerful post. Sometimes more powerful that that of the Executive Officer's because the occupant of the JEO's post is the man on the spot at Tirumala while the EO operates from Tirupati's TTD Administrative Buildings and is just the figure-head of the TTD Institutions. The tenure of the JEO's post is for one year and is renewable at the pleasure of the Chief Minister and the TTD Board. The previous JEO was one Balasubramanian, who had seven such one year extensions courtesy Chandra Babu Naidu. Most people in Tirupati confirm that during his period there were neither rumours of christism in Tirumala nor any room to complain on the proliferation of other religious practitioners on the Sacred Hills.

When Y Samuel Rajasekhar decided to "place" a pliable henchman as the JEO, his obvious choice was Dharma Reddy. However, Samuel could not make Dharma Reddy as the JEO because Dharma Reddy is not an IAS official and only IAS officials can become JEO of the Tirumala Mandir.

So what did Samuel do? He sent Dharma Reddy as the Officer on Special Duty (OSD) and continues to keep the JEO's post vacant. Which in effect means that Dharma Reddy is the de-facto JEO and reliable sources confirm that he is more powerful than the innocent Executive Officer (EO), Sarma himself.

DHARMA (?) REDDY or ADHARMA REDDY?

Dharma Reddy is one who is very vocal that the news of church coming up on Tirumala Hills is only a rumour. However, he goes one step ahead and states in the same breath that the Bhagawan owns about 10.33 Sq Kms of Tirumala for which the TTD is the administrator. He does not explain the source for this exact figure. Neither does he clarify the boundaries. He just makes a statement and suspends it in ether. It stays. And years later the christists can put up a shakle of a church to start with and claim that this is beyond the boundaries of the Lord's property.

The christists have cleverly plotted their first move for legitimising a future plan of illegal occupation (AAthathayEE).

For centuries, Hindus thought that the entire 7 Hills measuring approx 243 Sq Kms is Bhagawan Balaji's (That the entire world and beyond is His is a different question). Therefore, we worship Him as the Lord of the Seven Hills (Sapta Giri vasa). Today, christist Samuel Rajasekar's unwritten diktat makes the OSD and the EO to declare Tirumala as a Township with an area of about 27.5 Sq Kms. Area that covers less than two Hills as against the Seven Hills.

Hindus would like to know from Y. Samuel Rajasekar on which of the other five Hills has he planned for the construction of the Adventist church, perhaps with the help of Maranatha International.  After all he has the experience of getting a church made by the Seventh Day Adventists on his farm in his native district, for the benifit of his 350 converted farm labourers.

D. R. Watts, the proselytizng president of the South Asian Division of the Adventists says that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister has given him indirect blessings:

"We feel a different atmosphere of happiness. [This chief minister] has 350 Adventists who work for him on his estates. In fact, Maranatha is in the process of constructing a new church building on the chief minister's estate for the Adventists, and that should be dedicated on Christmas Eve. "

If  our Hindu Dharma Adhikaris, the Hindu Acharyas and all self-respecting Hindus do not come together to agitate, move courts of law and to dethrone these christist rulers, mark my word, Tirupati and Tirumala will be greater problem and more emotive issues to fight for in future for the Hindus than the Ayodhya, Varanasi and Mathura put together. And our great-grand children will not pardon our laid-backness.

ACCIDENT IN A FIRE-CRACKER GODOWN OR SUICIDE BOMBER WHO ACCIDENTALLY BLEW HIMSELF?

Last Diwali (2005), the vernacular News papers in Tirupati reported that there was a fire accident in a fire-cracker godown on the Hare Krishna Mandir Road, Tirupati, which is close to the ghat road to Tirumala.

Known circles confirm that it is not an accident in a fire-cracker godown, but a suicide-bomber on the way to Tirumala who accidentally blew to pieces on the way to the toll-gate of the ghat road. Obviously, he was on his way up the Hills.

This news was spiked.

So, we now not only have problems with the bible peddling "christerrorists" or terrorists of christ wanting to save our souls in the most revered Hindu Mandir premises, but also the jehadis who are emboldened by an impotent government that has no clue on containing terrorism and are in fact soft on terrorists allowing them to target us at will.

RULES 196 AND 197 OF THE TTD ACT
The EO of TTD Mr. APVN Sarma said that as per rule 196 of TTD Act, no other religious propaganda is allowed within 10.33 Sq miles area of the Kshetram. As per rule 197, those who reside in Tirumala Kshetram and those who work for TTD must be Hindus by religion, he said. (Vaartha… 12 April, 2006)

Pray, Sarma ji, how many people has the TTD caught,  tried them in accordance with the Rule Book and enabled punishment under the rule 196 of the TTD Act?

NONE.

Let us examine the other rule - Rule 197:

As per rule 197, those who reside in Tirumala Kshetram and those who work for TTD must be Hindus by religion.

Is the E.O. ignorant that there are many non-Hindus employed by the TTD? Will he send them packing? Is the EO aware of how many of the TTD employees have converted to christism and how many remain as crypto-christists? Does he have a figure right on hand?

What are your answers, APVN Sarma ji?

CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION IN TIRUMALA HILL

The E.O. says that Rule 197 prohibits other than Hindus from living on the sacred Tirumala Hills. Then how did 20 converted employee families celebrate christmas last year at the sacred Tirumala Hills?

Will he deny that such a celebration took place? - Rule 196

Will he deny that there are no convets employed by the TTD?  - Rule 197

What about those who were Hindus when they got the job in the TTD and converted to other religions over a period of time, while still in employment with the TTD?

What about the crypto-christists? The ones who practice christism secretly and remain Hindus for the sake of their continued employment and food from the foolish Hindu devotees' Sacred offering which you have converted as secular?

You are the greatest converters of them all Sarma ji. Because you know how to convert the sacred money into secular money.

Do you have any answers, Dharma Reddy and Sarma? The Hindu society demands answers from you both on how you are devalueing our greatest Mandir and our religious assets, if only to please your christist master, Y Samuel Rajasekar.

Let us briefly examine some of these hot conversion spots, for the benifit of these blind officials of the TTD and the AP Government:

SWEATER (Pull-overs) HAWKERS AS EVANGELISTS

Close to 30 sweater hawkers dot the Tirumala shopping platforms. These are converts from the Orissa/Andhra bordering districts. They peddle in sweaters and also serve the purpose of distributing evangelical material to the unsuspecting pilgrims. Neither the TTD's infamous security wing nor the police officials have made any effort to weed them out of the sacred Hills.

AEOs ?or EVANGELISTS?

Two Senior Employees of the rank of Assistant Executive Officers were seen distributing evangelical pamphlets in and around the Tirumala Bus Station a few months ago. One of them has been emboldened due to lack of action to take these materials even into the queue complex.

BASHA, THE CONSTABLE IN ANTI-COMMUNAL RIOTS CELL- SPECIAL INTELLIGENCE, TIRUMALA

I thought Tirumala was only for Hindus. So what is the need for Anti-Communal Riot wing in Tirumala? Where is the possibility of communal riots in a place inhabited ONLY by the Hindus? And what is the need to have a Muslim constable who as per rule 197 of the TTD Act cannot live in Tirumala? Basha lives in Tirumala in the Police quarters. And this flouts the Rule 197 of the TTD Act. Why Basha, Samuel?

On closer examination, it became evident that the CM thinks it good to have as many men of "his choice" at Tirumala. Informed sources have confirmed that this man works as a facilitator for evangelists for conversion activities at Tirumala. He was even "allotted" one house in the Police Quarters, Tirumala which has become the hub of all evangelical activities in Tirumala. This house has the weekly Bible reading sessions. And their numbers are increasing. One should not be surprised if the TTD decides to construct a queue complex leading to this Bible room, which will become a church, at a later date.

EO Sharma ji, what next? Allow these people to perform the "Yesu Sahasranama" instead of the Vishnu Sahasranama inside the Mandir?

How long do you reckon it will take before we hear the shrill sounds of "Halleluja" competing for air-space with the Sacred Mantras of the Dasavatar Archana or the Suprabhatam to Bhagawan Venkateshwara?

Will Samuel explain why there is a need for anti-communal riots cell and a Muslim constable posted for it in Tirumala if as per the TTD Act Rule 197, non-Hindus are not permitted to live on the Sacred Tirumala?

As per the insiders, his actions confirm that facilitation for conversions is the job designated for this man under the camaflouge of  - Special Intelligence - Anti-Communal Riots.

The locals claim that ever since he has been entrusted with the "special duty", he has become brazen with the facilitating activities for evangelism. Locals say that he openly declares his simple motto:

"christism or islamism, let them convert. They should not remain Hindus. Insha Allah"

One understands that the Police and the TTD Administration is vary of any inquiry as this man seems to brazenly wear on his sleeves his badge of proximity to CM's conversion coterie.

Bravo, Basha. You seem to have taken the "story" of "Zeenat ki Haar" and :Tulaka Nachiar" very seriously, not realizing that they were spun to keep your "Hyder Alis" at bay.

ACTION - NONE; ON FOUR NUNS SPOTTED PROSELYTIZING IN DEVASTHANAM HOSPITAL

The RDO refused to listen to the complaints of the ABVP and the some concerned citizens of Tirupati. He would not even accept and acknowledge their written complaint on the issue of four nuns caught proselytizing in the Ruia hospital, Tirupati. The local police would not file the FIR (First Information Report).

Oh Lord forgive them. They are secular.

CHRISTIST INFILTRATION IN SRI VENKATESHWARA AYURVEDIC HOSPITAL AND THE CENTRAL HOSPITAL NEAR THE TTD ADMINISTRATION BUILDING, TIRUPATI:

Two Hospitals. One an Allopathic Hospital for the employees of the TTD and the other an Ayurvedic Hospital. Both are fully funded by the TTD.

It is strongly discussed in known circles in Tirumala and Tirupati that Narayanappa, the Superintendent of this S.V.Ayurveda Hospital Hospital run by the TTD, is a crypto-christist and a "secular" who is facilitating evangelical activities in the hospital.

The christists have not left even Bhagawan Balaji's Ayurvedic Hospital where christist evangelism has found an uncanny way into Ayurveda.

Add to this their infiltration into the Central Hospital that treats the TTD employees free of cost. Check with Hari Rao, the Superintendent of this hospital if there are no evangelical activities taking place right under his nose in this Institution run by the devout Hindu's Hundi offerings.

TTD ADMINISTRATIVE BUILDING, TIRUPATI

Is the Executive Officer, Sharma aware that conversions of his employees is taking place right in this building which houses his office?

One has only to take a tour of the over 130 rooms that make the building. Each room has the photos of Bhagawan Venkateshwara and Sri Padmavati Amma ji, EXCEPT in those department rooms where there is either a christist or muslim as the department or section head. Though the  employees in such sections are Hindus, the photos are removed by the section heads because of their intrinsic and pathological hatred for Hindu religion and Hindu Devatas. They continue in their employment in the Hindu Devasthanams because we continue to remain fools without realising that we should be sacred, not the secular variety as preached by today's "pundits of secularism". That they continue to remain in employment in the same building that houses the EO's office is not a laughing matter.

Should we remind the EO of the rule 197 of the TTD Act which prohibits employment of other than Hindus in the TTD?

Is the Executive Office aware that this group of converts is growing at an alarming pace?

Is he aware that they ridicule the practice of the daily puja and Aarati by an Archaka  to the Vigraha of Bhagawan Balaji placed at the entrance of the TTD Administrative Office?

Is the EO aware that when the Aarathi is taken out to each room on Saturdays, these converts mock the whole divine ritual and the devout employee-bhakts and refuse to participate in it, though they continue to get their monthly salaries in time, everytime, from the Bhagawan's Hundi collections? From the offerings of the very devout Hindu Bhakta?

Why should the Hindu Bhakta's sacred money suddenly become secular?

JAGANMATHA.  MAHALAKSHMI OR MARY?

It now appears that there is one "Jaganmatha Church" on the K.T.Road (Kapila Teertham Road), Tirupati, closer to the road that leads to Tirumala Hills, which has become the prime source of evangelical activities in Tirumala, Tirupati. The four nuns who went on proselytisation errand to the Ruia hospitals owe their allegiance to this denomination of the cadeverous religion called churchianity.

SRI PADMAVATI MAHILA VISWA VIDYALAYA

It was the former A.P. Chief Minister, late N.T.Rama Rao who started this university at Tirupati. The Padmavati women's college run by the T.T.D. was till then a part of the Sri Venkateshwara University, before it was upgraded as Sri Padmavati Mahila Viswa Vidyalaya with a few women's colleges run by the TTD affiliated to it.

With the advent of christist Y Samuel Rajasekar as the C.M, a fellow christist, Veena Noble Das has been posted as the Vice Chancellor of the Sri Padmavati Mahila Viswa Vidyalaya.

And what did this "more-tactful-than-teresa" do on day one?

Insiders confirm that her first job was to replace Bhagawan Venkateshwara and Sri Padmavati wall photos with that of Mary and Maino-Mary in all the rooms of the college and the hostel buildings. Following an outcry from the students and certain concerned citizens of the town, the maino-mary pictures were removed and the Bhagawan was brought back, partially and with great contempt. Her room has Bhagawan's photo replaced with Mary and her son of immaculate conception.

Hostel rooms were used as base camps for evangelists to store their printed material, in addition to using the facility to stay, rest, recuperate and go on a rapacious attack on the Hindu Dharma through proselytisation.

Prayer meets were organized during tests / exams, especially during the EAMCET exams (Commen test for Engineering and Medical courses) for the success of the candidates. Hindu students were lured into such meets, with fear of failure thrown in as additional measure.

Fortunately, the vigilant ABVP thwarted such moves and drove the evangelists out. Despite complaints to the University authorities and the TTD, no action was taken, except for lying low currently, only to go virulent once again when the Hindu Samaj goes into its much accustomed periods of hybernation.

SWARANJIT SINGH, DGP, ANDHRA GIVES A CLEAN CHIT TOTHE EVANGELISTS

As a face saving measure and to divert the public attention, the christist government of Y Samuel Rajasekar asks the DGP of A.P, Swaran Singh to visit Tirumala and Tirupati for his study and assessment of what they continue to maintain as "rumours". He visits the place last week and denies the presence of evangelical designs in Tirumala.

Samuel is happy.
So the Government is happy.
The TTD is happy.
The Secular Press is happy.
Therefore, the majority of The Hindus in general, are happy.

What do we Hindus care if our great-grand children have to visit the shrine of "Ven-Christ-Eshwara" at Tirumala, with a choice of 7 churches, one each thrown in for fun on each of these Sacred Hills?

Do we really care if His Conch and Chakra are replaced by the unholy cross by the congress-I which has really become con-cross-I?

Should we not realise that this is church's 100 year plan and they have the patience and money to work towards their goals?

Should we not thwart their devious designs?

Break their backs when they are putting in place their plans one after the other, with the tacit support of the TTD and the blessings of the Maino-Mary-Samuel-Basha nexus in Tirumala / Tirupati

Should we not send them packing?

Report of TTD fact finding committee
7/3/2006 4:03:33 PM Samachara Bharathi,AP

The Fact finding committee formed to verify the media reports on Missionary activities in Tirupathi and Tirumala temple town revealed startling revelations.

As per the request of His Holiness Sri Sri Sri Visweswara Theertha of Pejavar Mutt, Udipi, a committee was formed and the members in committee were Sri Justice K.B. Siddappa, former Judges of Andhra Pradesh High Court, Sri T.S.Rao, former Director General of Police, Andhra Pradesh, Smt. Dr. P. Geervani, former Vice-Chancellor of Sri Padmavathi Mahila Viswa Vidyala and Sri Dr. R. Shrihari, Former Vice-Chancellor of Dravidian University, Kuppam, under the Chairmanship of Sri Justice G. Bikshapathy

The Committee had done a public enquiry on 21st and 22nd June by visiting Tirupathi and Tirumala.Recordings of TV9 Coverage on on activities of Missionaries were handed over to the Committee.Temple officials also furnished information and based on this following facts emerge.

Activities relating to Propagation and Conversion to Christianity:

Ø Members of the Christian Community distributed religious pamphlets and copies of Bible to the students who were returning after writing the EAMCET examinations conducted at various centres inTirupathi in May, 2006.This activity of the Christians led to serious tense situation in Tirupathi. It was also revealed to the Committee that large number of women and men, dividing themselves into several groups, distributed Christian religious material at various places including EAMCET centres. Some student organizations protested against these activities. Police had to intervene to maintain law and order.

Ø On 9th of April, 2006, two Christians by name Balaraju (pastor) and Babu while coming down from Tirumala to Tirupathi in bus bearing No.AP 11Z 1130 distributed pamphlets propagating Christianity to the pilgrims travelling in that bus. Police registered a Case against two based on complaints of pilgrim. Based on this complaint “In the light of instant case, the following recommendations may be considered to avoid recurrence of such incidents in future.

1. As per Rule 197 of APCHR and E Act 1987 the population living in Tirumala shall adhere to the norms and shall follow the sentiments of Hindu Religion. As such thorough probe has to be taken up to verify the antecedents of Non-Hindu Employees who are working in TTD as well as Government departments i.e., Police, Fire Services, Commercial Taxes and etc., who are staying in Tirumala. The identified employees and their families shall be shifted from Tirumala.

2. Some of the family members of the TTD employees such as wife, children are practicing Christian ideology and inviting the Pastors to conduct prayers in their houses at Tirumala. The above aspect may be carefully examined and steps taken to prevent the above activities in Tirumala.

3. In the Rule 198 of APCHR & E Act 1987 the following activities shall be prohibited at Tirumala :-

(A) Carrying and possession of Holy books of other religions like BIBLE, QURAN etc.

(B) Any kind of propagation of other than Hindu religion by way of distribution of pamphlets,Literature, Brochures, Stickers, Banners, Flags, including prayers and speeches etc.

Ø It is reported that two Christian women belonging to Chilakuluripet were found in the TTD queue complex and they were caught red-handed on 26.4.2006 distributing religious pamphlets to the pilgrims in the queue and were handed over to the Deputy Superintendent of Police at Tirumala by the pilgrims themselves. The Committee was informed that the Vigilance personnel took into custody these two Christian women and produced them before the DSP,Tirumala. The Committee was told that the Special Officer got released those two women after questioning them and arranged special darshan and gave Prasadam.

When the Committee met the Executive Officer on 22.06.2006, Special Officer Sri Dharma Reddy was present and he told the Committee that those two women came from an old age home run by a Christian Mission and they stated that as per the wish of some of the inmates of the old age home who were suffering from AIDS, they came to get Prasadam for distributing it to those inmates, and on that representation of the two women, he permitted them to have darshan after signing the requisite declaration and gave them the Prasadam. No name of the Old Age home was disclosed. It is highly unlikely that a Christian would travel long distance to visit Tirumala to collect Prasadam offered by a Hindu Religious Temple to be given to the inmates of an old age home run by a Christian Mission. It should be noted that the two women did not disclose to the concerned TTD officials before entering the queue complex that they were Christians, and they got into the queue complex without signing the requisite declaration and obtaining permission of the concerned TTD officials.

Ø Two Christians viz., David (pastor) and Kumar, were found propagating Christianity in Tirumala and they were handed over to police. The police seem to have registered a case and kept them for two days on remand. Those two persons admitted that they committed a mistake. This was also confirmed by the EO, TTD who stated that the two were indulging in religious propaganda. However, strangely the Special Officer, Sri Dharma Reddy, stated that they did not indulge in any Christian propaganda. The two Christians were eventually released without taking any action against them.

On 21st May, 2006, Special Officer Sri Dharma Reddy held press conference in which he stated that no Christian religious propaganda was going on in Tirumala. It is evident that he is not taking a serious view of these objectionable activities of the Christians at the holy place of Tirumala.

Propagation of Christian religion in educational institutions in Tirupathi:-

Ø Educational institutions at Tirupathi were established on TTD land and with TTD funds. It is brought to the notice of the Committee that in the colleges and hostels at Tirupathi, Christian religious propagation is rampant. The Christian students themselves are acting as propagators. Sri Deva Sangeetham, Principal of S.V. University College is openly indulging in propagating and converting the students to Christianity by making them go to Church, reading Bible and creating disaffection towards Hindu religion. After Sri Deva Sangeetham has taken charge as Principal, the practice of garlanding the portrait of Lord Venkateswara was stopped.

Ø After Smt. Veena Noble Das took charge as Vice-chancellor of Padmavathi Mahila University, she got removed the photos of Lord Venkateswara and Goddess Padmavathi from all the institutions of the Mahila University and she also got removed the portrait of Lord Venkateswara from her office and discontinued the practice of garlanding the portraits of Lord Venkateswara and Goddess Padmavathi everyday. Instead she kept a portrait of Jesus Christ and the Cross on her office table. She is sending batches of students in the University buses to the church. It is also stated that in the Mahila University, the students are not allowed to have tilak on the forehead now-a-days and that students putting tilak are being discriminated.

Employment in the TTD :-

It is brought to the notice of the Committee that only Hindus have to be appointed as employees in the TTD.However the EO stated that for some period this was not followed with the result that some Muslim personnel came to be appointed. He further stated that steps are being taken to shift them to some other places gradually. It is further brought to the notice of the Committee that some employees in the TTD are also professing Christianity and that in the police quarters also congregations and prayers are being conducted regularly. There are about 40 Christian families residing in Tirumala and they are holding religious congregations at their houses on Sundays.

It is stated that even in the Annadanam Complex there is one employee viz., Sri Ananda Raju belonging to Christian community, working as Superintendent. The EO has stated that he will enquire and take action. It is also stated that one Christian lady is also working in the electrical department. Gopinath,Garden Superintendent also belongs to Christian community.

Non-Hindu Employees of TTD and their activities:

It is brought to the notice of the Committee that many people from Christian and Muslim communities were being employed in the TTD and some of the Hindu employees were even converted as Christians and they practice the Christianity. About 40 families in Balaji Colony are Christians. They hold congregations and prayers on Sundays.

The Committee is informed that Gopinath who was posted on deputation as Garden Superintendent is a Christian and that he criticizes worshipping Lord Venkateswara saying why should a black stone be decorated with garlands, and that he indulges in criticizing Hindu Religion.

Considering the above facts and circumstances, the Committee is of the opinion that the propagation of Christianity with an ulterior motive of conversion is taking place in Tirupathi and Tirumala. Since the EO has categorically has assured the Committee that no such incidents will be allowed to take place, the matter has to be reviewed periodically.

Scouts and Guides :

In the queue complex number of Scouts and Guides are deployed to regulate the pilgrims. It is understood that details of the religion of the persons who are so engaged is not verified and that some of them belong to non-Hindu communities. The Committee also observed that the Scouts and Guides are allowed into the main temple and to have Darshan. The Executive Officer has informed the Committee that he would take appropriate measures to prevent non-Hindus being deployed as Scouts and Guides in Tirumala.

Hawkers and Shopkeepers :-

It is brought to the notice of the Committee that there are number of hawkers who belong to Muslim community. Two instances are given. Shop Nos. 192 and 72 in the Shopping Complex are run by Sri Jamal Khadar and Maithri. When this is brought to the notice of EO he assured the Committee that he will look into the matter and take appropriate action. It is also further brought to the notice of the Committee that unauthorized hawkers are taken out of Tirumala by midnight and left in interior Bakrapeta forest area.Even in this process also, mainly Hindus are targeted and Muslims are rarely touched.

Opposite to Lepakshi Emporium, there are about 50 Nepali shopkeepers who are Christians and they also offer prayers on Sundays, reading Bible and otherChristian religious material in Tirumala.

About 40 Muslim shopkeepers also are there in Tirumala. They offer Namaz on Fridays in Tirumala. There are also some Muslim hawkers mostly from Kadiri(Ananthapur District).

Contract Workers :-

The Committee is informed by the Executive Officer that on account of prohibition of recruitment in a number of departments like Health & Sanitation,Kalyanakatta, Roads and Buildings etc., workers are being engaged in those departments through contractors. Some of the contract workers so employed are Christians and Muslims and there is no check to see that only Hindus are engaged and to prevent non-Hindus being so engaged. . In this connection,TTD also stated that they did not verify the religion particulars of the contract labourers and also scouts and guides. The EO has assured that he will take necessary steps in this regard.

Dress Code and putting tilakam:

Even though the EO has stated that dress code and tilakam were prescribed for the employees, these were not being strictly implemented. The Committee impressed upon the EO to implement it these strictly.

Other Illegal Activities in Tirumala :

Ø The Committee is informed that various illegal activities both at Tirumala and Tirupathi are going on, such as sale and consumption of liquor, sale and consumption of meat, flesh trade, gambling etc.

Ø It is also brought to the notice of the Committee that cow slaughter is also going on in down hill at Tirupathi near D.R. Mahal and that the meat is being transported to Tirumala clandestinely.

Ø It is further brought to the notice of the Committee that TTD Kalyana Mandapam at Nagalapuram is being used by the Christians for their prayer congregations and for performance of Christian marriages. Near Sree Rama and Siva Temple in Tirupathi, Christian prayers and propagation of religion are taking place intercepting the Hindu devotees visiting the temples and persuade them to join Christianity .

Ø It is also brought to the notice of the Committee that the newly constituted Specified Authority in place of the Board of Trustees, (the term of which has expired) is being headed by Sri D. Rosaiah, I.A.S.who is said to be a Christian.

Ø The Tourism Department is going to take up erection and operation of Rope Way from Tirupathi to Tirumala. It is also learnt that the Tourism Department plans to establish Multiplexes, Food Courts and other Entertainment and Recreational Spots on Tirumala Hills. The Committee feels that in order to facilitate the activities of Tourism Department on the hills, the area of TTD is restricted to two hills covering an area of 27.5 sq.kms. The EO was handed over a copy of the Judgment of a Division Bench of the Andhra Pradesh High Court reported in 1997(2) ALD Page 59 (DB) – Tallapakam Koppu Raghavan Vs State of A.P.

The Division Bench has observed in that Judgment as follows:-

“Although there is no documentation available as the origin is lost in antiquity, there is no attempt made before us to question the ownership of the Lord Venkateswara of Seven Hills. This being true and a real concept the Board of Trustees, the Committee or the Executive Officer are only administrators of the property of Lord Venkateswara. They can have no right of ownership in themselves and they cannot thus decide to do anything against the interest of the right of the owner i.e., in the instant case, Lord Venkateswara. Once the ownership is resolved and the right to administer is deemed to vest as provided under Article 26 of the Constitution of India in the plurality of the devotees and regulated by the provisions of the Act and Rules framed thereunder, no administrator, whether appointed under the Act or otherwise can take liberty to destroy the sanctity and Holiness of the Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanams and domain, as we have already held, extends to all the Seven Hills called ‘Tirumala’.”

Earlier the Division Bench in para-3 held is as follows:-

“It is not in dispute that pilgrims in thousands and millions in number sometimes visit the temple and there is no day which is not full of activities of the pilgrims and various rituals, poojas and rites of the cult preserved since antiquity and no part of the Seven Hills, except some secular activities which are essential for the service of Lord Venkateswara, is free from religious activities in and around the temple right from the Foot Hills on all sides.”

The EO replied that he will look into the matter.

The Sacred Seven Hills :-

The Committee is of the considered opinion that restricting the area of TTD to only 21 KMs covering 2 hills, runs counter to the ancient texts and age old traditions and practices of the temple and that the Hindus always considered Sri Venkateswara as Lord of the Seven Hills and lakhs of devotees climb the Seven Hills with utmost devotion and reverence bare footed chanting the names of Lord Venkateswara. The Committee further feels that opening the Seven Hills to the Tourism Department will destroy the sanctity, serenity and spirituality of the Seven Hills and will seriously hurt the feelings of the Hindus throughout the Country and the World.

FUNDS OF THE TTD :

It is brought to the notice of the Committee that previously Hindu Dharma Parirakshana Samithi was organizing various activities like Harikathas, devotional lectures and concerts in religious music and dance by eminent artists. Now, the name Hindu has been removed and a Dharma Prachara Parishad is in its place which is hardly conducting any religious discourses by eminent Hindu spiritual leaders and is not conducting any religious cultural activities by prominent artists. The members of the public further expressed that eminent Hindu spiritual leaders should be invited to give discourses regularly at important places through out the country and even abroad.

They are of the further opinion that contributions of the devotees running into Hundreds of Crores should be utilized only for Hindu Religious and Dharmic activities and various service activities in the name of Lord Venkateswara only. The funds should not be diverted to other activities.

The Committee was informed that the Devasthanam has donated considerable land to a Muslim organization for construction of Mosque which has seriously hurt and agitated Hindus and arousing their religious sentiments. Several persons have expressed that more than 35,000 temples in the State are not having any means for performing daily poojas and donating for other religions is wholly unwarranted.

Constitution of TTD Board and Committee :-

It is the general view of the public that TTD Board and its Committees should comprise of eminent devout Hindus who have contributed to the development of the Hindu faith and spirituality and Government of the day should take the advice of the Hindu Dharmacharyas and Hindu Spiritual Leaders in making such appointments.

<b>REPORT OF THE FACT FINDING COMMITTEE
Tirumala Tirupathi Devastanam</b>

1. During the month of April, 2006, it was reported in the press and electronic media that certain activists of Christian community have been carrying out undesirable activities at the holy places of Tirumala Hills and Tirupathi and these acts have been severely hurting and agitating the religious feelings of the multitude of devout Hindus. Therefore, taking into consideration the seriousness of the situation, His Holiness Sri Sri Sri Visweswara Theertha of Pejavar Mutt, Udipi, requested us viz., Sri Justice G. Bikshapathy, Sri Justice K.B. Siddappa, former Judges of Andhra Pradesh High Court, Sri T.S. Rao, former Director General of Police, Andhra Pradesh, Smt. Dr. P. Geervani, former Vice-Chancellor of Sri Padmavathi Mahila Viswa Vidyala and Sri Dr. R. Shrihari, Former Vice-Chancellor of Dravidian University, Kuppam, to function as a Fact Finding Committee under the Chairmanship of Sri Justice G. Bikshapathy to ascertain the factual position as regards the activities of Non-Hindu religious communities in Tirumala and Tirupathi and to furnish a report to His Holiness for <b>considering the steps to be taken to prevent undesirable activities of the Christian and other Non-Hindu Communities.</b>

2. We accordingly agreed to function as a Fact Finding Committee and held a preliminary sitting on 17.6.2006 at Hyderabad. In the said meeting, it was decided by all of us, to visit Tirupathi and Tirumala on the 21st and 22nd June, 2006 to hold a public enquiry by the Committee and subsequently got issued public notice in the dailies and in the electronic media.

3. On 21.6.2006, four members of the Committee i.e., Sri Justice G. Bikshapathy (Chairman), Sri T.S. Rao, Dr. C.R. Srihari and Dr. Smt. Geervani met at Navajeevan Saranagathi Vruddashram at Tiruchanur. Sri Justice K.B. Siddappa could not participate in the meeting on account of indisposition of his wife. 42 persons appeared before the Committee on 21.06.2006 between 9.30 A.M. and 7.30 P.M. and narrated the facts within their knowledge relating to the activities carried on by Christians and Muslims. The names and particulars of those persons are given in Annexure-I to this report. Earlier TV9 covered certain events and activities of the Christians in Tirupathi and Tirumala. They were recorded in a DVD and displayed before the Committee in a TV. A DVD containing the TV9 coverage was handed over to the Committee. The same is enclosed with this Report as Annexure-II.

4. On the next day i.e., 22.6.2006, the Committee visited Tirumala and met at Vaikhanasa Trust building. There also 6 persons appeared before the Committee and narrated their experiences. Their names and particulars are also given in Annexure-I at the end.

5. At about 11.15 A.M. on 22.06.2006 the Committee met Sri A.P.V.N. Sarma, I.A.S., Executive Officer of the TTD at his Camp Office in Tirumala. Sri Dharma Reddy, Special Officer of TTD, Sri Arvind Kumar, IPS, Chief Vigilance & Security Officer of TTD, and Sri Ramachandra Reddy, District Judge on deputation to TTD as Law Officer, were also present.

6. On an analysis of the information furnished by the members of the public before the Committee, the following facts emerge. Activities relating to Propagation and Conversion to Christianity:

(i) <b>Members of the Christian Community distributed religious pamphlets and copies of Bible to the students </b>who were returning after writing the EAMCET examinations conducted at various centres in Tirupathi in May, 2006. Apart from other persons, who deposed before the Committee, this information was also disclosed by the son of Sri Prabhakara Acharya, Secretary of Vaikhanasa Ashram at Tirumala, who appeared for the EAMCET examinations. This activity of the Christians led to serious tense situation in Tirupathi. It was also revealed to the Committee that large number of women and men, dividing themselves into several groups, distributed Christian religious material at various places including EAMCET centres. Some student organizations protested against these activities. Police had to intervene to maintain law and order.

(ii) On 9th of April, 2006, two Christians by name Balaraju (pastor) and Babu while coming down from Tirumala to Tirupathi in bus bearing No.AP 11Z 1130 <b>distributed pamphlets propagating Christianity to the pilgrims travelling in that bus. </b>One of the passengers by name Sri Arvind of Hyderabad complained the matter to the AV&SO Sri S. Sivananda Kishore, who after enquiry gave a report dated 11.4.2006 to the Vigilance and Security Officer, TTD (Copy of the report is enclosed as Annexure-III). Basing on his report, a case in Crime No.8/2006 (copy of FIR dated 11.04.2006 is enclosed as Annexure-IV) was registered against S. Balaraju and P. Babu, residents of Tirupathi and the police took up investigation.

On the basis of the said complaint, Sri R. Sivananda Kishore (AV&SO, Sector-III, TTD, Tirumala), in his report recommended as follows:

"In the light of instant case, the following recommendations may be considered to avoid recurrence of such incidents in future.

(B) Any kind of propagation of other than Hindu religion by way of distribution of pamphlets, Literature, Brochures, Stickers, Banners, Flags, including prayers and speeches etc."

(iii) It is reported that two Christian women belonging to Chilakuluripet were found in the TTD queue complex and they were caught red-handed on 26.4.2006 distributing religious pamphlets to the pilgrims in the queue and were handed over to the Deputy Superintendent of Police at Tirumala by the pilgrims themselves. The Committee was informed that the Vigilance personnel took into custody these two Christian women and produced them before the DSP, Tirumala.

(iv) Two Christians viz., David (pastor) and Kumar, were found propagating Christianity in Tirumala and they were handed over to police.

<b>Propagation of Christian religion in educational institutions in Tirupathi:-</b>

(i) Educational institutions at Tirupathi were established on TTD land and with TTD funds. It is brought to the notice of the Committee that in the colleges and hostels at Tirupathi, Christian religious propagation is rampant. The Christian students themselves are acting as propagators. Sri Deva Sangeetham, <b>Principal of S.V. University College is openly indulging in propagating and converting the students to Christianity by making them go to Church, reading Bible and creating disaffection towards Hindu religion.</b> After Sri Deva Sangeetham has taken charge as Principal, the practice of garlanding the portrait of Lord Venkateswara was stopped.

(ii) After Smt. Veena Noble Das took charge as Vice-chancellor of Padmavathi Mahila University, <b>she got removed the photos of Lord Venkateswara and Goddess Padmavathi from all the institutions of the Mahila University and she also got removed the portrait of Lord Venkateswara from her office and discontinued the practice of garlanding the portraits of Lord Venkateswara and Goddess Padmavathi everyday. Instead she kept a portrait of Jesus Christ and the Cross on her office table. She is sending batches of students in the University buses to the church. It is also stated that in the Mahila University, the students are not allowed to have tilak on the forehead now-a-days and that students putting tilak are being discriminated.</b>

<b>Employment in the TTD :-</b>

It is brought to the notice of the Committee that only Hindus have to be appointed as employees in the TTD. However the EO stated that for some period this was not followed with the result that some Muslim personnel came to be appointed. Gopinath, Garden Superintendent also belongs to Christian community.

<b>Non-Hindu Employees of TTD and their activities:</b>

It is brought to the notice of the Committee that many people from Christian and Muslim communities were being employed in the TTD <b>and some of the Hindu employees were even converted as Christians and they practice the Christianity</b>.

<b>Scouts and Guides :</b>

In the queue complex number of Scouts and Guides are deployed to regulate the pilgrims. It is understood that details of the religion of the persons who are so engaged is not verified and that some of them belong to non-Hindu communities. The Committee also observed that the Scouts and Guides are allowed into the main temple and to have Darshan. The Executive Officer has informed the Committee that he would take appropriate measures to prevent non-Hindus being deployed as Scouts and Guides in Tirumala.

<b>Hawkers and Shopkeepers :-</b>

It is brought to the notice of the Committee that there are number of hawkers who belong to Muslim community. Two instances are given. Shop Nos. 192 and 72 in the Shopping Complex are run by Sri Jamal Khadar and Maithri. When this is brought to the notice of EO he assured the Committee that he will look into the matter and take appropriate action. It is also further brought to the notice of the Committee that unauthorized hawkers are taken out of Tirumala by midnight and left in interior Bakrapeta forest area. <b>Even in this process also, mainly Hindus are targeted and Muslims are rarely touched.</b>

Opposite to Lepakshi Emporium, there are about 50 Nepali shopkeepers who are Christians and they also offer prayers on Sundays, reading Bible and other Christian religious material in Tirumala.

About 40 Muslim shopkeepers also are there in Tirumala. They offer Namaz on Fridays in Tirumala. There are also some Muslim hawkers mostly from Kadiri (Ananthapur District).

<b>Contract Workers :-</b>

The Committee is informed by the Executive Officer that on account of prohibition of recruitment in a number of departments like Health & Sanitation, Kalyanakatta, Roads and Buildings etc., workers are being engaged in those departments through contractors. Some of the contract workers so employed are Christians and Muslims and there is no check to see that only Hindus are engaged and to prevent non-Hindus being so engaged. . In this connection, TTD also stated that they did not verify the religion particulars of the contract labourers and also scouts and guides. The EO has assured that he will take necessary steps in this regard.

<b>Dress Code and putting tilakam:</b>

Even though the EO has stated that dress code and tilakam were prescribed for the employees, these were not being strictly implemented. The Committee impressed upon the EO to implement it these strictly.

<b>Other Illegal Activities in Tirumala :</b>

(i) The Committee is informed that various illegal activities both at Tirumala and Tirupathi are going on, such <b>as sale and consumption of liquor, sale and consumption of meat, flesh trade, gambling etc.</b>

(ii) It is also brought to the notice of the Committee that <b>cow slaughter is also going on in down hill at Tirupathi near D.R. Mahal and that the meat is being transported to Tirumala clandestinely</b>.

(iii) It is further brought to the notice of the Committee that <b>TTD Kalyana Mandapam at Nagalapuram is being used by the Christians for their prayer congregations and for performance of Christian marriages. Near Sree Rama and Siva Temple in Tirupathi, Christian prayers and propagation of religion are taking place intercepting the Hindu devotees visiting the temples and persuade them to join Christianity </b>.

(iv) It is also brought to the notice of the Committee that the newly constituted Specified Authority in place of the Board of Trustees, (the term of which has expired) <b>is being headed by Sri D. Rosaiah, I.A.S. who is said to be a Christian.</b>

(v) The Tourism Department is going to take up erection and operation of Rope Way from Tirupathi to Tirumala.

(Copy of the Judgment is enclosed as Annexure-V). The Division Bench has observed in that Judgment as follows:-

"Although there is no documentation available as the origin is lost in antiquity, there is no attempt made before us to question the ownership of the Lord Venkateswara of Seven Hills. Earlier the Division Bench in para-3 held is as follows:-

"It is not in dispute that pilgrims in thousands and millions in number sometimes visit the temple and there is no day which is not full of activities of the pilgrims and various rituals, poojas and rites of the cult preserved since antiquity and no part of the Seven Hills, except some secular activities which are essential for the service of Lord Venkateswara, is free from religious activities in and around the temple right from the Foot Hills on all sides."

The EO replied that he will look into the matter.

<b>The Sacred Seven Hills :-</b>

<b>FUNDS OF THE TTD :</b>

It is brought to the notice of the Committee that previously Hindu Dharma Parirakshana Samithi was organizing various activities like Harikathas, devotional lectures and concerts in religious music and dance by eminent artists. <b>Now, the name Hindu has been removed and a Dharma Prachara Parishad is in its place which is hardly conducting any religious discourses by eminent Hindu spiritual leaders and is not conducting any religious cultural activities by prominent artists</b>. <!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->SC admits appeal against Kerala HC order on nuns and priests
New Delhi | July 04, 2006 1:42:22 PM IST

The Supreme Court today admitted the appeal filed by Bar Council of India challenging the Kerala High Court judgement order holding that nuns and priests are not debarred from being enrolled as advocates under the Advocate''s act.

A bench comprising Mr Justice B N Aggarwal and Mr Justice P P Naolekar, however, refused to stay the impugned High Court judgement dated March 21, 2006 permitting that priests and nuns are not disqualified from seeking enrolment as advocates.

Kerala Bar Council had earlier denied them enrolment on the ground that as per the Bar Council rules persons who are engaged in full -time profession cannot get work as advocates.

According to the Bar Council of Kerala, the nuns and priests are doing full-time profession and hence are not entitled to become advocates.

The High Court, however, came to the conclusion that priests and nuns are not doing full-time profession and hence they are entitled to practice law.

The court, however, directed to expedite the hearing. The respondents are P C Thomas, belonging to the Bar Council of Kerala.

The Bar Council of India has challenged the High Court order on the ground that High Court has erred in not appreciating the fact that a person who seeks enrolment as an advocate cannot be a member of another profession, however noble the same may be.

Another ground of challenge is that admission into legal profession is to be governed by the rules framed under the Advocates Act and not governed by the fact that priests and nuns take up employment in other occupations.

Why isn't there any hindu organization like RSS, hindu munnani, shiva sena, bajrang dal etc in AP to protest against these activities? Are any local language newspapers highlighting these issues? Are there any organizations protesting at all ?
