Arrest of Yogi Adityanath
#21
gorakSha was the successor in the guru lineage of the great matsyendra. matsyendra is the Adi-guru the first promulgator of haTha yoga and the sarvAmnAya devI krama in this yuga. gorAkSha is recognized as a siddha throughout India and is well-known to anyone following the mantra mArga. It should be remembered that the king pR^ithivi nArAyaNa-shAha-deva the founder of modern Nepal was given dIkSha by a guru of the gorAkSha lineage and blessed that he would be a great conqueror (see my post in another thread). The gorakSha lineage helped in raising money for him to modernize his weaponry and army during his visit to Varanasi. It is also said that they gave him intelligence of the danger posed by the Christian missionaries, Britons and Moslesms. pR^ithivi-nArAyaNa drove out all missionaries from Nepal realizing their subversive danger. Ever since they have neither forgotten nor forgiven.

<b>Hindu holy men express ire over Mulayam's remarks</b>

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->Ayodhya, Feb 4 (ANI): Hindu holy men in Uttar Pradesh have expressed ire over <b>Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav's remarks asking them to "keep away from politics and stick to scriptures".</b><!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->Hindu holy men in holy Ayodhya town lashed out against Yadav for his comments.

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->Bodhi as an aside is there a rule that the head of the Gorakhnath mutt has to be unmarried?<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Yes. Goraksh Peeth follows strictly the rules set forth by Adi Sankar for Dashnami Sannyasis. Goraksha Peethadheeshwar (commonly known as Mahant) is nominated at a very young age, follows Bramhacharya and directly moves from Bramhacharya into Sannyasa. There are various very interesting things related to this process, which I will describe later. One of these is a ceremony for "kanphata". The nominee gets his ears pierced in a ceremony. (actually all sannyasi yogis of Nath order get this done as part of the Siddha initiation)

Like Adi Sankar Mathas, Goraksha Peeth also has two Mahants at a time. One is the Pradhan Mahant, and the other Uttaradhikari Mahant or to-be Mahant. Present Mahant is Swami Avedyanath who is very aged. Yogi Adityanath is the uttaradhikari.

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->matsyendra is the Adi-guru the first promulgator of haTha yoga<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Hauma Hamiddha ji, the first promulgator, according to Nath sampraday, is Guru Sri Adinath, and Guri Sri Matsyendra Nath (or Machhendar) was his disciple. Guru Sri Adinath is considered to be an Avatara of Bhagwan Shiv, who took sthool Sharir for the purpose of giving the hathayog to people. Guru Adinath was initiated in yog by Bhagwan Shiv Himself. Guru Sri Matsyendranath gave the doctrines and structure to Nath practice. Several Nath literature is attributed to him and his disciple Guru Sri Gorakhsa. He also discovered various Asans, Pranayams and Shatkarma techniques of Hathyoga. Another important aspect of Sri Matsyenda was synthesis of Bauddh, Tantra, and Hatha in a common Natha sampraday. Guru Adi, Matsyendra and Goraksha are very respected amongst Bauddhas, as well as Shaktas.

Someone interested in Rajput connection, Bappa Raval was a nath sampradayi too. The then Gorakhnath had initiated him at a young age in Hathyog but forbade into Sannyas. Instead he instructed Bappa to fight the invading muslims.

Search for More News
Lucknow, Feb 4: Senior BJP leader Kalyan Singh was today detained by the police at Chinhat on the outskirts of the city while he was on his way to the riot-torn Gorakhpur.

Protesting police action, Singh and his supporters squatted on the Lucknow-Faizabad highway and started raising anti-government slogans.

Singh said he was going to Ayodhya to pay obeisance at the makeshift Ram temple before heading for Gorkahpur.

The state government had surrendered before the fundamentalist forces and that's why it disallowed him to visit Ayodhya and later Gorakhpur, he alleged. (Agencies)

Bodhi-ji that is why I used "in this yuga". This is because technically AdinAtha who is said to be mahAdeva himself is believed to belong to a primordial yuga. As per some tantric traditions of the paschimAnAya the tantras and yogashAstra was thrown into the sea by skanda. There they were swallowed by a fish and AdinAtha himself emerged from the belly of the fish as matsyendra recovering them. Of course discussion of these traditions goes beyond this thread. If there is any interest we could move it to another thread.

This news has now moved away from headlines to 'city editions' of all major media.

Here are some:

1. Pravin Togadia points out that the only other time when a Mahant of Goraksha Math was arrested by police was in 1946-47, in the events that led to the partition of India. He wanders if this arrest will lead to Kashmirization of Purvanchal. He said that government which praises SIMI and does not arrest its leaders, has no hesitation to arrest a respected Yogi. If Yogi is not released, VHP will start a 'Chalo Gorakhpur' campaign throughout India. http://jagran.com/news/citynews.aspx?id=30...eid=1&cityid=47

2. In the meanwhile, Sadhus and sants have started arriving in Gorakhpur. Goraksha Math has become a camping ground of all sorts of Sadhus from all over India. Ex central Minister of NDA government Swami Chinmayananda has become the coordinator of efforts. RSS has directed all its wings to get directly involved in the campaign. http://jagran.com/news/citynews.aspx?id=30...eid=1&cityid=47

3. Yogi has appealed businesses and shopkeepres of Gorakhpur to resume their businesses again, after more than a week of complete closue. Akhil Bharatiya Vaishya Ekata Parishad and Gorakhpur Vyapar Pratinidhi Mandal decided to open the shops but wear black clothes until Yogi is released.

4. Meanwhile police is busy preparing the "data" behind a bunch of cases against Yogi. One single person has come forward to bear witness against Yogi, on allegations of inciting violence.

5. Seeing long queue of people in front of Jail, lining up to meet Yogi and have his Darshan, Jail administration has refused to allow people access to Yogi. People are sitting on Dharna in front of the Jail. To disperse people, police resorted to Lathi-charge. Gorakhpur University student union is organizing this protest. http://jagran.com/news/citynews.aspx?id=30...eid=1&cityid=47

6. Somebody threw a bomb inside the residence of an ex-MLA of Samajvadi Party Dr. Mohasin Khan. No one is hurt, but police could not arrest anyone. (Another artificial case in making)
http://jagran.com/news/citynews.aspx?id=30...eid=1&cityid=47

7. Yesterday, a police constable raped a young woman inside her house, after beating her brother. This has further infuriated the people of Gorakhpur against the police. http://jagran.com/news/citynews.aspx?id=30...eid=1&cityid=47

8. Another attempt to rape case. Police arrested a husband and wife who are activists of Hindu Yuva Vahini. Husband was sent to Cantt Police Station for interrogation while wife Gita to women police. Around midnight she was mysteriously released from PS without any paperwork. She alleges that a couple of cops, on pretext to give her a ride home, took her to a lonely place and tried to molest her. Upon protesting they threatened to clamp serious cases against her husband. She somehow managed to run away from them after being beaten, and went straight to the local newspaper office. She is badly injured. Her husband has been chargesheeted by police within hours.

And yes. Times Of India is doing its job. While the other news items, as mentioned above are nowhere to be found in TOI, it has lost no time in comparing Hindu Vahini to SIMI and branding Yogi as 'Controversial'.

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin--> Hindu Vahini emerges as militant force

LUCKNOW: Jobless youths, some from affluent families, have emerged as the new faces of militant Hindutva in the communal violence that has gripped Gorakhpur and nearby areas, police and officials in the area say.

Controversial Gorakhpur BJP MP Yogi Adityanath's Hindu Vahini — fast emerging as an alternative to saffron outfits like Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal — is gaining recognition as a militant arm of the Gorakshnath Peeth in Eastern Uttar Pradesh. Considered to be the private army of the MP and a frontal outfit of the Peeth, the Hindu Vahini has been formed to counter Students' Islamic Movement of India (Simi) and it has considerable presence at the tehsil and block level.

No action has so far been taken against the Vahini, even though there have been intelligence inputs on its activities, sources said. Authorities' reluctance to take action against the Vahini can be gauged from the fact that it has been functioning for five years without any registration. The Vahini has also been allowed to enlist youth and put up boards with names of its office-bearers.

As trouble broke out in Gorakhpur on last Friday after a person was killed allegedly by minority community members, Vahini activists have gone into overdrive, trying to ensure that protests spread to adjoining districts, including Deoria, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Siddharthnagar, Varanasi and Azamgarh. On Sunday night, the MP was arrested after he was tried to defy authorities and hold a meeting in Gorakhpur. That provoked Vahini members to rampage — they blocked roads and pelted stones at the police.

According to sources, the Vahini wasted no time in giving communal colour to an incident which was the outcome of a scuffle between two groups of students attending a wedding party at the DAV College campus of Gorakhpur on January 26 night. The victim — Raj Kumar Agrehri — was shot at during the revelry, the sources said, adding Agrehri tried to mingle in a Muharram procession to save himself. But assailants fired at him again, leading the processionists to think that they had been attacked and Agrehari was stabbed, the sources said.

A senior BSP leader has said that the unquestioned status of the Vahini suits the ruling Samajwadi Party as well as Opposition BJP in UP. "With elections round the corner, polarisation of votes on communal lines would benefit both SP and BJP," said the BSP leader.

The events unfolding relating to the Math of Gorakhpur seems to be just another point ticked-off in the long agenda of the forces inimical to a resurgent Hinduism in India. There's no room for coincidence.
False arrest and concerted defamation of Kanchi Shankaracharya, Congress legislating perks for minority with only a powerless whimper to oppose them, christians having free reign in proselytising, slow 'secular' usurpation of ancient Hills of Tirumala that have ever belonged to the Hindu temple there, encouraging mughalistanism, turning a blind eye to back-up j-hadi forces coming from Bangladesh, international and local anti-Hindu and anti-Indian media writing the usual slanted articles and reporting selectively as rehearsed (for instance, the recent Bangalore case), making Nepal a secular (communist) nation, unbanning of SIMI in regions of India, Paki ISI infiltration into strategic positions in India's security, undermining Gorakhnath math as communal and attempts to reduce its standing by defamation and of course the arrest of its important head (and many more events that I can't bother listing) -
man, whoever's doing this is really powerful.
It's really well-planned, excellently executed. Millennia of Hindu civilisation being systematically destroyed in a short time (space of decades).
What can I say, hope all those doing this get their comeuppance. Returned to them increased in intensity by several orders of magnitude.

Was just thinking. Even if Hindus had a remote island all to ourselves, missionaries will still sneak in for conversion purposes in order to 'save' us (from being who we are), the communists will still spread their propaganda and try to brainwash people in order to facilitate the revolution (like in Nepal) which they desperately want to spread all over the world, and islamists will still expand and invade and declare the j-had.

The reason is simple: because there never was nor ever will be a place for us in their worldview. In their view, either we must join them, denouncing our way of life, or they must destroy us. They cannot allow us (or other natural religions) to exist, because that would be utterly contrary to their ideology: people who don't need a communist revolution to free them from class-stranglehold, pagans who don't want christ and yet are not miserable, a nation of infidels that exists in a world where allah has laid down his law against kafirs. Our very existence contradicts and therefore brings into question their intolerant, 'either-for-or-against' beliefs.

I wonder how we'll ever survive this and how much we still have to lose before we can.

Secretary of Vishva Hindu Mahasangh Rakesh Singh Pahalwan and Hindu Vuya Vahini state secretary Sunil Singh have been arrested on charges of a decoity case, that too dated 3 year old! Interesting to note that both have been active in politics all though, and police have never bothered to reach them for this case, which they say they are not even aware of. What took police 3 years is an obvious question. As per the process, police should submit the case correspondance within 24 hours of the remand. Interestingly, Gorakhpur police has been issuing no-criminal-records certificate to Rakesh Singh every year from 2004 onwards, for his gun licence renewal. Another Hindu leader Samir Singh has been sent to remand for 14 days.

PTI | Gorakhpur

Barring stray incidents of burning of effigies of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav in rural areas and some districts of eastern UP, the situation was by and large peaceful and curfew relaxed in all the four areas of the city till evening today.

Curfew was relaxed from 9 am to 6 pm as bus services in the state resumed after a gap of eight days. Buses to Mau, Azamgarh and Varanasi started plying. Regional Manager of Uttar Pradesh transport Ramjit Verma said that a full-fledged service would start in a couple of days.

Commercial establishments and government offices have started functioning.

Incidents of burning effigy of the CM were reported from adjoining districts of Deoria, Basti, Kushinagar and Siddharthanagar.

Meanwhile local BJP leaders and sadhus have started relay fast in Gorakhnath Mandir campus here to press for their demand for early release of the jailed BJP MP Yogi Adityanath. <!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin--><b>Gorakhpur tense, arsonists attack trains</b>
Pioneer News Service | Lucknow

Gorakhpur and its adjoining areas in eastern Uttar Pradesh remained tense but under control on Thursday. Union Minister of State for Home Sriprakash Jaiswal, after visiting Gorakhpur, said additional paramilitary forces would be rushed to the region to maintain peace.

A PTI report late Thursday night said <b>suspected</b> Hindu Yuva Vahini activists set ablaze three compartments of two trains, one of them near Gorakhpur, to protest the arrest of BJP MP from Gorakhpur Yogi Adityanath. Police sources said the activists set on fire two coaches of Mumbai-Gorakhpur Godan Express at Mohammadabad railway station, about 300 km from Lucknow.
(Though the PTI report can only <i>suspect</i> that they were HYV activists, it could just as well be that they were goons in service of the UP government which is trying to fan the situation's flames further. In fact, it's more likely that they were, considering how the UP govt has been going about the events in Gorakhpur, with an eye on sparking communalism to get islamic votes.)

No loss of life was reported although some passengers sustained minor injuries while they were trying to jump out of the compartments, sources said. The burning compartments were detached from the train and fire tenders reached the spot, sources said.

In another incident, the activists set afire a train compartment near a goods yard at the Naugarh Railway Station in Siddharthnagar district near Gorakhpur. "The <b>goods train compartment had been lying abandoned in the yard for a long time and there was no casualty,</b>" District Police chief Ramit Sharma told PTI.

Ten persons were arrested for torching two state roadways buses at Nichlaul in Maharajganj district on Wednesday night. Reports said that the buses were torched at the Nichlaul depot by activists of the Hindu Yuva Vahini and the trouble-makers included two roadways staff.
(Abandoned goods trains seem more likely targets of Hindus.
And the buses were torched at night time and are reported as being at a depot, I think that means they were not running at the time and therefore not carrying passengers.)

As many as 68 passenger trains to and from Gorakhpur have been cancelled after an arson attempt on 213 up Gorakhpur-Gonda passenger train at Tulsipur in Balrampur on Wednesday. Long-distance mail and express trains were being run with GRP escort as a precautionary measure, the sources said.
(No indication of who suspected arsonists were for this event.)

Sporadic incidents of violence were reported from different districts of eastern UP, as security forces staged a flag march in curfew-bound areas. Reports said that in Dumariyaganj, the Siddharth Nagar block development office (BDO) office was set on fire by arsonists. However, the Home Department officials claimed that a short circuit was the reason behind the fire at the BDO office.

The situation in Padrauna, where curfew was imposed on Tuesday evening following violence in the wake of arrest of local BJP MP Yogi Adityanath, remained tense, reports reaching here said.

In Ballia, BJP workers forced closure of shops and other establishment during a bandh to protest arrest of party MP Adityanath and other leaders.

Sinha said that the decision to relax curfew would be taken by the administration after assessing the situation. He said that in order to provide relief to people in curfew- affected areas, foodgrains and milk were distributed with the help of police and security forces.

Sinha said that so far 350 people had been arrested in connection with the clashes. Eight others have been arrested in connection with the murder of Raj Kumar Agrahari.

Meanwhile, the State Government on Thursday sent a report to the Centre on the violence in Gorakhpur and adjoining areas on January 30, State Home Secretary AK Sinha told mediapersons in Lucknow.

A supplementary report would be submitted to the Centre in the next few days, he added. Educational institutions have been closed till February 3 in view of the tense situation in the city.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

GORAKHPUR: With reports of violence pouring in from neighbouring districts, authorities rushed paramilitary reinforcements to Gorakhpur and extended curfew on Wednesday.

Violence broke out after a person was killed, allegedly by minority community members, during a scuffle at a wedding party on Friday.

The tension spread to neighbouring areas of Gorakhpur after the arrest of BJP MP Yogi Adityanath on Sunday night. The MP's supporters went <b>berserk</b> when authorities prevented Adityanath from holding a meeting.
(Calculated use of language. Christoislamics only protest or retaliate peacefully it seems, but Hindus can only mob according to TOI)

On Wednesday, the Uttar Pradesh government transferred Gorakhpur zone IG Vinay Verma, while three BJP leaders — former Union minister Santosh Gangwar and party leaders Dharmendra Deo and Satyaprakash Ahluwalia — were arrested when they tried to enter Gorakhpur.

Meerut zone IG Jagmohan Yadav will replace Verma. The government had earlier suspended Gorakhpur DM Hari Om, SSP Raja Srivastava and three other police officials in the wake of the violence.

A passenger train was set ablaze and over half a dozen vehicles were torched in the violence-hit areas in and around Gorakhpur district.
(But no indication of which people were responsible for each of these incidents. Still they want to tie it up with the other cases, see para below)

Violence spread to neighbouring towns like Kushinagar, Padrauna and Balrampur. Hindu Vahini — <b>Adiitynath is the leader of the <i>outfit</i></b> — activists set several vehicles on fire and destroyed shops in Padrauna and Kasea.
(Psecular working for TOI writes this as if the Yogi was present, cheering them on to vandalise shops and vehicles)

Electronic mediapersons were attacked, too. Schools and colleges in Gorakhpur have been declared closed until February 3.
(How dreadful, electronic mediapersons 'attacked' - what, Hindoo people approached the TOI reporter and his team and they fled?)

North Eastern Railway indefinitely suspended running of all passenger trains originating from Gorakhpur and arriving here. Express and super fast trains were allowed to continue their journey under RPF escort.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

This had happened before.

Few years back BJP organized a big protest rally in Thiruvananthapuram while communists were ruling. During the rally few commies dressed up as BJP workers, started throwing stones at police and lathicharge started. The same people then attacked and burned buses and other public properties creating a major havoc in the city, and blames fell on BJP.

Next day there was another protest showcasing destroyed buses to the public.

The supporters of Yogi must be aware of this and take precaution against this. One thing is to carry cameras all the time so that pictures or rioteers can be caught. Also make sure that they catch some of the trouble makers so that they could reveal their identity.

This looks like a grandeur strategy from commies/mullayam and affiliated groups. Since state elections are coming expect more riots in the state and problems will be blamed on Yogi's supporters, expecting that people to vote against BJP.
#37
The strategy is to put the fear of hindutva monster into the muslim votebank. Strong action against kaffirs will solidify votes of faithful for Mullahyam. Rest of the kaffirs will follow the usual voting patterns, y for yadav, d for dalit, t for thakur etc ensuring votes for mullahyam..
#38
Muslim votes is a known thing. What mullayam wants is to split up the votes that may go for BJP. If many hindu properties were destroyed by the rioteers and if huge losses were incurred by traders and other daily wage earners, their ire will go against the people who did the rioting. Through the media show Yogi's picture and destructions around, so that people vote against him.

BJP should take this critical state very seriously. If they can turn the tide BJP can come back with huge margin. They should show it as an attack on Hindu Swami and make it a movement similar to Ayodhya. If Mulayam wins this time, it will be a tragedy for UP.

1. In a jolt to administration, District Judge Amar Sinha has rejected the order of Upper City Magistrate under which Yogi Adityanath and other 72 people had been detained on Jan 28th, termining it 'unconstitutional and contrary to the procedure'. In a separate case and a different court however, CJM court has rejected bail application of Yogi. Meanwhile the number of Yogi supporters detained by police under this case has gone to 102 within Gorakhpur city. Number is even more in surrounding districts.

6. Meanwhile traitor Dr. Sandeep Pandey, of Asha-Aid, is in Mau. He talked in support of the arrest of Yogi. He said Yogi was a fundamentalist, who had never allowed peace and harmony in the region. He said these communal people acheived political objectives in events such as Gandhi's assassination, Babri demolition, and Godhra event. Hindu Vuya Vahini had no ideology, he said, and it was only after destroying public property.

<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
