The Study of Political Islam
By Jamie Glazov
FrontPageMagazine.com | February 5, 2007

Frontpage Interview’s guest today is Bill Warner, the director of the Center for the Study of Political Islam (CSPI). CSPI’s goal is to teach the doctrine of political Islam through its books and it has produced a series on its focus. Mr. Warner did not write the CSPI series, but he acts as the agent for a group of scholars who are the authors.

FP: Bill Warner, welcome to Frontpage Interview.
Warner: Thank you Jamie for this opportunity.

FP: Tell us a bit about the Center for the Study of Political Islam.
Warner: The Center for the Study of Political Islam is a group of scholars who are devoted to the scientific study of the foundational texts of Islam—Koran, Sira (life of Mohammed) and Hadith (traditions of Mohammed). There are two areas to study in Islam, its doctrine and history, or as CSPI sees it—the theory and its results. We study the history to see the practical or experimental results of the doctrine.

CSPI seems to be the first group to use statistics to study the doctrine. Previous scientific studies of the Koran are primarily devoted to Arabic language studies.

Our first principle is that Koran, Sira and Hadith must be taken as a whole. We call them the Islamic Trilogy to emphasize the unity of the texts.

Our major intellectual breakthrough is to see that dualism is the foundation and key to understanding Islam. Everything about Islam comes in twos starting with its foundational declaration: (1) there is no god but Allah and (2) Mohammed is His prophet. Therefore, Islam is Allah (Koran) and the Sunna (words and deeds of Mohammed found in the Sira and Hadith).

Endless ink has been wasted on trying to answer the question of what is Islam? Is Islam the religion of peace? Or is the true Islam a radical ideology? Is a moderate Muslim the real Muslim?

This reminds a scientist of the old arguments about light. Is light a particle or is light a wave? The arguments went back and forth. Quantum mechanics gave us the answer. Light is dualistic; it is both a particle and a wave. It depends upon the circumstances as to which quality manifests. Islam functions in the same manner.

Our first clue about the dualism is in the Koran, which is actually two books, the Koran of Mecca (early) and the Koran of Medina (later). The insight into the logic of the Koran comes from the large numbers of contradictions in it. On the surface, Islam resolves these contradictions by resorting to “abrogation”. This means that the verse written later supersedes the earlier verse. But in fact, since the Koran is considered by Muslims to be the perfect word of Allah, both verses are sacred and true. The later verse is “better,” but the earlier verse cannot be wrong since Allah is perfect. This is the foundation of dualism. Both verses are “right.” Both sides of the contradiction are true in dualistic logic. The circumstances govern which verse is used.

For example:
(Koran of Mecca) 73:10: Listen to what they [unbelievers] say with patience, and leave them with dignity.

From tolerance we move to the ultimate intolerance, not even the Lord of the Universe can stand the unbelievers:

(Koran of Medina) 8:12: Then your Lord spoke to His angels and said, “I will be with you. Give strength to the believers. I will send terror into the unbelievers’ hearts, cut off their heads and even the tips of their fingers!”

All of Western logic is based upon the law of contradiction—if two things contradict, then at least one of them is false. But Islamic logic is dualistic; two things can contradict each other and both are true.

No dualistic system may be measured by one answer. This is the reason that the arguments about what constitutes the “real” Islam go on and on and are never resolved. A single right answer does not exist.

Dualistic systems can only be measured by statistics. It is futile to argue one side of the dualism is true. As an analogy, quantum mechanics always gives a statistical answer to all questions.

For an example of using statistics, look at the question: what is the real jihad, the jihad of inner, spiritual struggle or the jihad of war? Let’s turn to Bukhari (the Hadith) for the answer, as he repeatedly speaks of jihad. In Bukhari 97% of the jihad references are about war and 3% are about the inner struggle. So the statistical answer is that jihad is 97% war and 3% inner struggle. Is jihad war? Yes—97%. Is jihad inner struggle? Yes—3%. So if you are writing an article, you can make a case for either. But in truth, almost every argument about Islam can be answered by: all of the above. Both sides of the duality are right.

FP: Why, in your view, is there so much ignorance about the history and doctrine of political Islam in the West?
Warner: First, let’s see how ignorant we are about the history of political Islam. How many Christians can tell you how Turkey or Egypt became Islamic? What happened to the Seven Churches of Asia mentioned in Paul’s letters? Find a Jew who can tell you the Jewish history of dhimmitude (second class citizens who serve Islam). What European knows that white women were the highest priced slaves in Mecca? Everyone knows how many Jews Hitler killed, but find an unbeliever who can tell you how many died in jihad over the last 1400 years.

We are just as ignorant about the doctrine of Islam. An FBI agent gets two hours of training on Islam and most of that is how not to offend the imam. We are fighting in Iraq. Who utilizes the political, military doctrine of Islam to plan strategy? Who can find a single rabbi or minister who has read the Koran, Sira and Hadith? What governor, senator, congressmen or military leader displays a knowledge of the political doctrine of Islam? Try to find a course available in a college about Islamic political doctrine and ethics. Graduates are schooled in Islamic art, architecture, poetry, Sufism, and a glorious history that ignores the suffering of the innocent unbelievers. Graduates read comments about the Koran and Hadith, but do not read the actual doctrine.

FP: So why this ignorance?
Warner: Let’s start at the beginning. When Islam burst out of Arabia into a decaying Byzantine world, the unbelievers recorded it as an Arabic invasion. Similarly, the invasion of Eastern Europe was by Turks; the invasion of Spain was by Moors. Our scholars were incapable of even naming the invaders.

Mohammed killed every single intellectual or artist who opposed him. It was fear that drove the vast majority of the media not to reprint the Mohammed cartoons, not some imagined sensitivity. Fear is a fabulous basis for ignorance, but that is not enough to explain it all. What accounts for the almost psychotic aversion to knowledge about Islam? Beyond fear is the realization that political Islam is profoundly foreign to us.

Let’s examine the ethical basis of our civilization. All of our politics and ethics are based upon a unitary ethic that is best formulated in the Golden Rule:

Treat others as you would be treated.

The basis of this rule is the recognition that at one level, we are all the same. We are not all equal. Any game of sports will show that we do not have equal abilities. But everyone wants to be treated as a human being. In particular, we all want to be equal under the law and be treated as social equals. On the basis of the Golden Rule—the equality of human beings—we have created democracy, ended slavery and treat women and men as political equals. So the Golden Rule is a unitary ethic. All people are to be treated the same. All religions have some version of the Golden Rule except Islam.

FP: So how is Islam different in this context?
Warner: The term “human being” has no meaning inside of Islam. There is no such thing as humanity, only the duality of the believer and unbeliever. Look at the ethical statements found in the Hadith. A Muslim should not lie, cheat, kill or steal from other Muslims. But a Muslim may lie, deceive or kill an unbeliever if it advances Islam.

There is no such thing as a universal statement of ethics in Islam. Muslims are to be treated one way and unbelievers another way. The closest Islam comes to a universal statement of ethics is that the entire world must submit to Islam. After Mohammed became a prophet, he never treated an unbeliever the same as a Muslim. Islam denies the truth of the Golden Rule.

By the way, this dualistic ethic is the basis for jihad. The ethical system sets up the unbeliever as less than human and therefore, it is easy to kill, harm or deceive the unbeliever.

Now mind you, unbelievers have frequently failed at applying the Golden Rule, but we can be judged and condemned on its basis. We do fall short, but it is our ideal.

There have been other dualistic cultures. The KKK comes to mind. But the KKK is a simplistic dualism. The KKK member hates all black people at all times; there is only one choice. This is very straightforward and easy to see.

The dualism of Islam is more deceitful and offers two choices on how to treat the unbeliever. The unbeliever can be treated nicely, in the same way a farmer treats his cattle well. So Islam can be “nice”, but in no case is the unbeliever a “brother” or a friend. In fact, there are some 14 verses of the Koran that are emphatic—a Muslim is never a friend to the unbeliever. A Muslim may be “friendly,” but he is never an actual friend. And the degree to which a Muslim is actually a true friend is the degree to which he is not a Muslim, but a hypocrite.

FP: You mentioned earlier how logic is another point of profound difference. Can you touch on that?
Warner: To reiterate, all of science is based upon the law of contradiction. If two things contradict each other, then at least one of them has to be false. But inside of Islamic logic, two contradictory statements can both be true. Islam uses dualistic logic and we use unitary scientific logic.

Since Islam has a dualistic logic and dualistic ethics, it is completely foreign to us. Muslims think differently from us and feel differently from us. So our aversion is based upon fear and a rejection of Islamic ethics and logic. This aversion causes us to avoid learning about Islam so we are ignorant and stay ignorant.

Another part of the aversion is the realization that there is no compromise with dualistic ethics. There is no halfway place between unitary ethics and dualistic ethics. If you are in a business deal with someone who is a liar and a cheat, there is no way to avoid getting cheated. No matter how nice you are to a con man, he will take advantage of you. There is no compromise with dualistic ethics. In short, Islamic politics, ethics and logic cannot be part of our civilization. Islam does not assimilate, it dominates. There is never any “getting along” with Islam. Its demands never cease and the demands must be met on Islam’s terms: submission.

The last reason for our aversion to the history of political Islam is our shame. Islam put over a million Europeans into slavery. Since Muslims can’t be enslaved, it was a white Christian who was the Turkish sultan’s sex slave. These are things that we do not want to face.

Jews don’t want to acknowledge the history of political Islam, because they were dhimmis, second class citizens or semi-slaves, just like the Christians. Jews like to recall how they were advisors and physicians to powerful Muslims, but no matter what the Jew did or what position he held, he was still a dhimmi. There is no compromise between being equal and being a dhimmi

<b>Why should a Hindu want to recall the shame of slavery and the destruction of their temples and cities? After Hindu craftsmen built the Taj Mahal, the Muslim ruler had their right hands cut off so that they could not build anything as beautiful for anyone else. The practice of suttee, the widow throwing herself on the husband’s funeral pyre, came about as a response to the rape and brutality of the Islamic jihad as it sweep over ancient Hindustan.</b>

Blacks don’t want to face the fact that it was a Muslim who rounded up their ancestors in Africa to wholesale to the white slave trader. The Arab is the true master of the African. Blacks can’t accept the common bond they share with whites: that both Europeans and Africans were slaves under Islam. Blacks like to imagine Islam is their counterweight to white power, not that Islam has ruled them for 1400 years.

Dualistic logic. Dualistic ethics. Fear. Shame. There is no compromise. These are the reasons we don’t want to know about Islam’s political history, doctrine or ethics.

FP So is there such a thing as non-political Islam?
Warner: Non-political Islam is religious Islam. Religious Islam is what a Muslim does to avoid Hell and go to Paradise. These are the Five Pillars—prayer, charity to Muslims, pilgrimage to Mecca, fasting and declaring Mohammed to be the final prophet.

But the Trilogy is clear about the doctrine. At least 75% of the Sira (life of Mohammed) is about jihad. About 67% of the Koran written in Mecca is about the unbelievers, or politics. Of the Koran of Medina, 51% is devoted to the unbelievers. About 20% of Bukhari’s Hadith is about jihad and politics. Religion is the smallest part of Islamic foundational texts.

Political Islam’s most famous duality is the division of the world into believers, dar al Islam, and unbelievers, dar al harb. The largest part of the Trilogy relates to treatment of the unbelievers, kafirs. Even Hell is political. There are 146 references to Hell in the Koran. Only 6% of those in Hell are there for moral failings—murder, theft, etc. The other 94% of the reasons for being in Hell are for the intellectual sin of disagreeing with Mohammed, a political crime. Hence, Islamic Hell is a political prison for those who speak against Islam.

Mohammed preached his religion for 13 years and garnered only 150 followers. But when he turned to politics and war, in 10 years time he became the first ruler of Arabia by averaging an event of violence every 7 weeks for 9 years. His success did not come as a religious leader, but as a political leader.

In short, political Islam defines how the unbelievers are to be dealt with and treated.

FP: Can you touch briefly on the history of political Islam?
Warner: The history of political Islam starts with Mohammed’s immigration to Medina. From that point on, Islam’s appeal to the world has always had the dualistic option of joining a glorious religion or being the subject of political pressure and violence. After the immigration to Medina, Islam became violent when persuasion failed. Jihad entered the world.

After Mohammed’s death, Abu Bakr, the second caliph, settled the theological arguments of those who wished to leave Islam with the political action of death by the sword. The jihad of Umar (the second caliph, a pope-king) exploded into the world of the unbelievers. Jihad destroyed a Christian Middle East and a Christian North Africa. Soon it was the fate of the Persian Zoroastrian and the Hindu to be the victims of jihad. The history of political Islam is the destruction of Christianity in the Middle East, Egypt, Turkey and North Africa. Half of Christianity was lost. Before Islam, North Africa was the southern part of Europe (part of the Roman Empire). Around 60 million Christians were slaughtered during the jihadic conquest.

Half of the glorious Hindu civilization was annihilated and 80 million Hindus killed.

The first Western Buddhists were the Greeks descended from Alexander the Great’s army in what is now Afghanistan. Jihad destroyed all of Buddhism along the silk route. About 10 million Buddhists died. The conquest of Buddhism is the practical result of pacifism.

Zoarasterianism was eliminated from Persia.

The Jews became permanent dhimmis throughout Islam.

In Africa over 120 million Christians and animists have died over the last 1400 years of jihad.

Approximately 270 million nonbelievers died over the last 1400 years for the glory of political Islam. These are the Tears of Jihad which are not taught in any school.

FP: How have our intellectuals responded to Islam?
Warner: The basis of all the unbeliever’s thought has collapsed in the face of Islamic political thought, ethics and logic. We have already mentioned how our first intellectuals could not even name the invaders as Muslims. We have no method of analysis of Islam. We can’t agree on what Islam is and have no knowledge about our suffering as the victims of a 1400-year jihad.

Look at how Christians, Jews, blacks, intellectuals and artists have dealt with Islamic doctrine and history. In every case their primary ideas fail.

Christians believe that “love conquers all.” Well, love does not conquer Islam. Christians have a difficult time seeing Islam as a political doctrine, not a religion. The sectarian nature of Christian thought means that the average non-Orthodox Christian has no knowledge or sympathy about the Orthodox Christian’s suffering.

Jews have a theology that posits a unique relationship between Jews and the creator-god of the universe. But Islam sees the Jews as apes who corrupted the Old Testament. Jews see no connection between Islam’s political doctrine and Israel.

Black intellectuals have based their ideas on the slave/victim status and how wrong it was for white Christians to make them slaves. Islam has never acknowledged any of the pain and suffering it has caused in Africa with its 1400-year-old slave trade. But blacks make no attempt to get an apology from Muslims and are silent in the presence of Islam. Why? Is it because Arabs are their masters?

Multiculturalism is bankrupt against Islam’s demand for every civilization to submit. The culture of tolerance collapses in the face of the sacred intolerance of dualistic ethics. Intellectuals respond by ignoring the failure.

Our intellectuals and artists have been abused for 1400 years. Indeed, the psychology of our intellectuals is exactly like the psychology of the abused wife, the sexually abused child or rape victim. Look at the parallels between the response of abuse victims and our intellectuals. See how violence has caused denial.

The victims deny that the abuse took place: Our media never reports the majority of jihad around the world. Our intellectuals don’t talk about how all of the violence is connected to a political doctrine.

The abuser uses fear to control the victim: What was the reason that newspapers would not publish the Mohammed cartoon? Salman Rushdie still has a death sentence for his novel. What “cutting edge” artist creates any artistic statement about Islam? Fear rules our intellectuals and artists.

The victims find ways to blame themselves: We are to blame for the attacks on September 11, 2001. If we try harder Muslims will act nicer. We have to accommodate their needs.

The victim is humiliated: White people will not talk about how their ancestors were enslaved by Islam. No one wants to claim the victims of jihad. Why won’t we claim the suffering of our ancestors? Why don’t we cry about the loss of cultures and peoples? We are too ashamed to care.

The victim feels helpless: “What are we going to do?” “We can’t kill 1.3 billion people.” No one has any understanding or optimism. No one has an idea of what to try. The only plan is to “be nicer.”

The victim turns the anger inward: What is the most divisive issue in today’s politics? Iraq. And what is Iraq really about? Political Islam. The Web has a video about how the CIA and Bush planned and executed September 11. Cultural self-loathing is the watchword of our intellectuals and artists.

We hate ourselves because we are mentally molested and abused. Our intellectuals and artists have responded to the abuse of jihad just as a sexually abused child or a rape victim would respond. We are quite intellectually ill and are failing at our job of clear thinking. We can’t look at our denial.

FP: So summarize for us why it is so crucial for us to learn the doctrine of political Islam.
Warner: Political Islam has annihilated every culture it has invaded or immigrated to. The total time for annihilation takes centuries, but once Islam is ascendant it never fails. The host culture disappears and becomes extinct.

We must learn the doctrine of political Islam to survive. The doctrine is very clear that all forms of force and persuasion may and must be used to conquer us. Islam is a self-declared enemy of all unbelievers. The brilliant Chinese philosopher of war, Sun Tsu, had the dictum—know the enemy. We must know the doctrine of our enemy or be annihilated.

Or put another way: if we do not learn the doctrine of political Islam, our civilization will be annihilated just as Egypt’s Coptic civilization was annihilated.

Since unbelievers must know the doctrine of political Islam to survive, CSPI has written all of its books in simple English. Our books are scholarly, but easy to read. As an example, anyone who can read a newspaper can pick up A Simple Koran and read and understand it. It is not “dumbed down” and contains every single word of the original.

Not only is the language simple, but logic has been used to sort and categorize. Context and chronology have been restored. The result is a Koran that is an epic story ending in triumph over all enemies of Allah. All of our books and philosophy may be found at our center's website.

Islam declares that we are the enemies of Allah. If we do not learn the political doctrine of Islam we will end up just like the first victims of Islam—the tolerant, polytheist Arabs of Saudi Arabia who became the Wahabbis (a very strict branch of Islam) of today, the most intolerant culture on the face of the earth.

FP: Bill Warner, thank you for joining us today.
Warner: Jamie, thank you for your kindness and efforts.

Post 81:
interesting article. Agree with some of it, but can't with the rest.

Like all western analyses, this one too is trivial and incomplete because it is founded on incomplete understanding of the problem (islam). It doesn't help that the analysts themselves are wearing blinders (courtesy of christianity), the kind they accuse those ignorant of islam of.

Before I get into that, another thing. The psychological analysis of why the west is in denial is rather trite too (comparing the situation to the reactions of abuse victims).

Europeans have analysed it much better than these American think tanks like CSPI. My sis read some articles on this. I think it was by Ayaan Hirsi Ali or one of her colleagues explaining the reason why Europe is still not waking up to notice the islamic j-hadi trying to break down the front door.
According to Europeans, their inability to identify the problem has to do with the way Protestants and Catholics finally settled down after the genocidal 30 Year War in Europe and how this had determined how pluralism and multiculturalism came to be implemented in that continent. Eventually accepting their differences were irreconcilable, Western Europe allowed the two major denominations their own schools, own churches and own broadcasting channels. This basically has kept the two sects from each others' throats in the more enlightened times.

But Islam does not fit into this, even though the Dutch and other European governments have given them their own centres for prayer, their own schools, and the like. Though Islam is equally intolerant, it is not a christian subdenomination after all. It has a problem with <i>all</i> of christianity (as it does with other religions) and is not satisfied with the 'mere' right to practise its own religion. Islam expects to have the right in Europe which both it and christianity insist on in India: the right to convert the entire place. Europe is dar-ul-harb, and for it to stay so is unacceptable from the islamic perspective.

The reason Europe is 'in denial' is merely because it does not understand why European pluralism does not work to soften up islam. They don't see that islam is (1) an intolerant and missionary religion; AND (2) is a religion opposed to non-islamic ways of life (secularism and christianity as it may be in the case of Europe). Both (1) and (2) make it not fit in with the recently created European pluralism, whereas other religions present in Europe - like the many eastern religions and Judaism - pose no such problems.
(Of course, Christianity exhibits (1) as well as a variant of (2): it's opposed to non-christian ways of life. It's out of sheer necessity that it had to get along with a secular Europe, because secular is what the majority of the European population became.)

Onto the initial matter, which is my main gripe with that article in frontpagemag.
I agree that islam is dualistic in the sense described, particularly that j-had means war 97% of the time and only 3% inner struggle. And that it divides the world into dar-ul-harb and dar-ul-islam. And that the j-had will always be on, to make all former into the latter.

What I don't agree with is that the analysts at CSPI, and others like them, are attempting to contrast this with <i>christianity</i>, of all ideologies! Their points are invalidated each time they try to draw a comparison:
- Christianity divides the world into saved and unsaved and has never given up trying to convert the latter (by all means necessary) into the former. This process as we know is ongoing.
They will never see the whole problem that islam poses as long as they are blinded by christianity, because the fundamental problems are shared by both. The west only feels threatened by islam, because it has already been conquered by and had eventually neutralised (the old varieties of) christianity.
Pasted the rest of my comments on this matter in post 264 of the christian missionary thread, more appropriate there.

Australian muslim leaders have decided that sheikh 'hilarious' Hilaly has drawn too much attention to islam in the country:

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin--><b>Sheik to be given the flick: report</b>
Muslim community leaders are moving to dump cleric Taj el-Din al Hilaly but will offer him a package that includes a weekly payment and free accommodation.

The Australian newspaper reports Sheik al Hilaly has been banned from delivering sermons, and his title of mufti of Australia is expected to be up for grabs in coming weeks.

His future was decided by more than 50-based Sydney Muslim leaders during a secret meeting last week.

The decision comes after a series of controversial statements in which Sheik al Hilaly compared immodestly-dressed women to uncovered meat and said Muslims were more entitled to live in Australia than Anglo-Saxons sent as convicts.

The Mufti is reported to have initially opposed the ban against him, before agreeing to stop giving sermons if a mutual understanding could be worked out with the Lebanese Muslim Association.

Islamic leader Mustafa Hamed said a long-service package was being worked out for the sheik.

<b>"If I didn't believe that it was in the best interest of the community, that the damage he's done is enough, I wouldn't say that he should leave,"</b> Mr Hamed told The Australian.
(There you have it: 'Hilaly should not have drawn attention and damaged our place in Australia; his sermons were good otherwise.')

"We are prepared to pay his long-service leave ... this is currently being negotiated in the community, among councils."<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

By 7News

Terror suspect Willie Brigitte has faced court more than three years after he was deported from Australia.
The Frenchman is accused of setting up an Australian terrorist cell and plotting an attack on the nation's power grid.
Inside Paris' imposing Palace of Justice, Brigitte faced three judges.

The 38-year-old Muslim convert was accused of undergoing intensive weapons and explosive training at terrorist camps in both France and <b>Pakistan</b>.

French Authorities claim Brigitte was then ordered to go on a mission to Australia in May 2003 where his contact was Faheem Lodhi, who has since been sentenced to 20 years' jail for plotting to blow up Sydney's electricity grid.

The judge told the court that Brigitte knew about a large terrorist attack to be perpetrated in Australia and when he was arrested by Australian authorities he had website pages showing military and nuclear facilities.

Brigitte married former Australian soldier and Muslim convert Melanie Brown, who was not in court today.

After spending five months in Australia he was deported back to Paris and arrested on terrorism conspiracy charges.

For the first time Brigitte spoke publicly, saying an impartial investigation would show that he is not a terrorist.

"Terrorism is against Islam and is against my conception of life," he said.
(Jerk can drop it now. He's been caught.)

After three years in jail he said he had lost faith in the French legal system and refused to answer any more questions.

Brigitte's lawyer, Harry Durimel, said Brigitte was being targeted.

"Is it a crime to learn your religion? Is it a crime to deepen your knowledge of your religion?" he questioned.

If found guilty, Brigitte could be sent to prison for 10 years.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->Well, if you learn christoislamism, you're learning terrorism. And yes, terrorism is a crime.

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin--><b>Row over Saudi-funded school textbooks </b>

Nandini Jawli | London

A Saudi-funded school in London has been accused of using textbooks that allegedly portray Jews as 'monkeys' and Christians as 'pigs'.

Allegations about the Arabic books emerged when a former teacher accused the 'King Fahad Academy', in Acton, of institutional racism.

<b>The private school has about 600 children, aged 5 to 18, and it receives more than four million pounds from the Saudi royal family each year.</b>
The controversy is about the use of textbooks produced by the Saudi Ministry of Education.

A textbook dated 2005-2006 allegedly asks the reader to "give examples of worthless religions such as Judaism, Christianity, idol worship and others". The book asks to explain that "those who die without adhering to Islam will go to hellfire".

The textbook lines, which have created a furore, are dated 2004-2005 in which an early Islamic scholar is quoted as saying, "The monkeys are the Jews. And the pigs, they are the Christian infidels at Jesus's table."

Confronted by media, King Fahad Academy director Dr Sumaya Aluyusuf has admitted that the textbooks in question were kept at the school. But the 'particular chapters' were no longer part of the curriculum.

She said she would not withdraw them as, according to her, "These books have good chapters that can be used by the teachers."

Aluyusuf insisted that the academy promoted "interculturalism and interfaith awareness".

The official body for inspecting schools in the UK, Ofsted had inspected the school last spring and concluded it provided a good Islamic education and knowledge about British institutions and citizenship.

Now Ofsted has told BBC News that its inspection team included a Muslim Arabic speaker but not all textbooks would have been examined.

The school was founded for the children of Saudi diplomats in London but now caters to children of British Muslims. Half of the lessons are religious education, teaching almost all classes in Arabic.

American human rights group Freedom House had highlighted the hate agenda of some of the textbooks in its 2006 report called "Saudi Arabia's Curriculum of Intolerance."

The Saudi Government at the time did admit some of the books were inexcusable but denied they were being used outside Saudi Arabia.

In Bonn, Germany, there is a sister branch of the same school with the same name. German intelligence agencies had singled out the school as a meeting place for extremists.

The allegations against the school emerged when a British Muslim teacher started a case for unfair dismissal. Colin Cook, 57, a British convert to Islam who taught English at the school for 19 years, was dismissed last December. He is claiming 100,000 pounds compensation for unfair dismissal, race discrimination and victimisation.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->Witzel and his cretins not all over this one? They formed no committee to protest this yet? Oh, wait. Their 'concern' is reserved only for Hindus for fear Hindus will 'promote communalism' by getting Californian textbooks to change the inaccurate and offensive information about our own religion. Like Hindu parents wanting to correct the chronology of the epics to ensure that Mahabharata is listed as coming after Ramayana as it is supposed to be.

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->We do use books that call Jews 'apes' admits head of Islamic school
07.02.07

The principal of an Islamic school has admitted that it uses textbooks which describe Jews as "apes" and Christians as "pigs" and has refused to withdraw them.

Dr Sumaya Alyusuf confirmed that the offending books exist after former teacher Colin Cook, 57, alleged that children as young as five are taught from racist materials at the King Fahd Academy in Acton.

In an interview on BBC2's Newsnight, Dr Alyusuf was asked by Jeremy Paxman whether she recognised the books.

She said: "Yes, I do recognise these books, of course. We have these books in our school. These books have good chapters that can be used by the teachers. It depends on the objectives the teacher wants to achieve."

In another exchange, Dr Alyusuf insisted the books should not be scrapped, saying that allegedly racist sections had been "misinterpreted".

The school is owned, funded and run by the government of Saudi Arabia. Mr Paxman asked: "Will you now remove this nonsense from the Saudi Ministry of Education from your school?"

Dr Alyusuf replied: "Just to reiterate what I said earlier, there are chapters from these books that are used and that will serve our objectives. But we don't teach hatred towards Judaism or Christianity - on the contrary."

During the programme Louise Ellman, MP for Liverpool Riverside and chairman of the Jewish Labour Movement, accused the school of inciting racial hatred and hit out at Ofsted inspectors for failing to discover the textbooks. She said: "This whole situation is unacceptable. It is incitement. It is part of a deliberate Saudi initiative to install Wahabbism extremism among Muslims and in the rest of society. If Ofsted has not drawn attention to this, that is a failing of Ofsted.

"It is unacceptable and we should look to see if this is happening in other schools as well. This is about teaching children. I think the school should take immediate action and so should the regulatory authorities."

In his employment tribunal claim Mr Cook, who taught English at the school for 19 years, has accused it of poisoning pupils' minds with a curriculum of hate. Arabic translators have found that the books also describe Jews as "repugnant".

Dr Alyusuf initially claimed that the books were "not taught currently", saying: "We teach a different curriculum. We teach an international curriculum."

Asked by Mr Paxman, "Would you discipline any teacher who has used these teaching materials?", she replied: "Of course I would."

The principal, who has been in the post just under six months, also claimed: "I monitor what is taught in the classrooms. I have developed the curriculum myself."

Asked by Mr Paxman whether she agreed with the suggestion in teaching materials that non-believers in Islam are condemned to "hellfire", she said: "We don't teach that. We teach Islam and it is important for our students to assert their identity."

Mr Cook, of Feltham, was earning £35,000 a year and is seeking £100,000 in compensation. In legal papers submitted to a Watford employment tribunal, he alleged that pupils as young as five are taught that religions including Christianity and Judaism are "worthless". He also alleges that when he questioned whether the curriculum complied with British laws, he was told: "This is not England. It is Saudi Arabia".

Pupils have allegedly been heard saying they want to "kill Americans", praising 9/11 and idolising Osama bin Laden as their "hero".

Mr Cook claims he was dismissed last December after blowing the whistle on the school for covering up cheating by children in GCSE exams.

He is bringing a tribunal claim for unfair dismissal, race discrimination and victimisation. The school is vigorously defending his claims.

The head of a Saudi-funded Islamic school in London has refused to withdraw textbooks said to dub other faiths "worthless" amid claims it was fuelling extremism.

But she insisted the King Fahad Academy did not teach "hatred" and blamed the controversy over the material on misinterpretation of passages from the Koran.

The private school has been under fire following claims by a former teacher that children were taught from books describing Jews as "repugnant" and Christians as "pigs".

And one Labour MP claimed it was part of a "deliberate Saudi initiative" to instil fundamentalism and said other schools should be investigated.

School director Dr Sumaya Alyusuf admitted that the books, published by the Saudi ministry of education, were kept at the school but said they were no longer part of the curriculum.

"We have these books in our school but they are not taught currently; we teach an international curriculum," she told BBC2's Newsnight.

"I can't withdraw them because they are a source and they have good chapters in them. These books have good chapters that can be used by the teachers."

She added: "The King Fahad Academy promotes inter-culturalism, inter-faith awareness. I personally participate in inter-faith forums in London."

Pressed on the claims children were taught that people of other faiths went to "hellfire" when they died, she added: "I reject that and I monitor what is taught in the classroom. I have developed the curriculum myself. We do not teach hatred towards Judaism or Christianity. We teach tolerance."

Louise Ellman, the Liverpool Riverside MP who chairs the Jewish Labour Movement, told the programme: "This whole situation is unacceptable. Things are getting quite involved in Australia - now it's become entangled in global islamic terror.

French convert to islam, terrorist Brigitte who studied terrorism in Pakistan (see second half of post 83), had got into Australia, and married an Australian islamic convert woman. He's been caught for attempted terrorism.

<b>Terror suspect's Sydney stay under scrutiny</b>
By 7News
French terror suspect Willie Brigitte's five-month stay in Sydney ahs come under scrutiny on the second day of his trial in Paris.
Brigitte is accused of taking part in a terrorism conspiracy by setting up an Australian terrorist cell and plotting an attack on the country's power grid.

The former kebab shop worker, who was deported from Australia three years ago, faces up to 10 years in jail if he is convicted.

The 38-year-old Muslim convert is said to have associated with terror groups in three countries.

<b>His trial, at the Palace of Justice in the French capital, has heard Brigitte was given $3,000 from men with links to the <span style='font-size:14pt;line-height:100%'>Kashmir-based terrorist group Lashkar-e-Toiba, to buy a plane ticket to Australia.</b>

Authorities claim Brigitte, referred to in emails as the "French Connection Project", was sent to Australia to provide logistical support as part of a terrorist cell of 11 people who planned to make the same sort of explosives used in the 1993 bombing of New York's World Trade Center.</span>

On Thursday, the court was told he had married former Australian soldier and Muslim convert Melanie Brown just 13 days after they met in Sydney, to help him blend in to the city.
(In the Netherlands, a converted female <i>former</i> Dutch police officer was caught working in an islamoterrorist cell. Is this part of some crude strategy: get converts who have access to security information involved?)

The trial heard Ms Brown later told French investigators: "Brigitte married her to have access to her military knowledge? When she refused to answer his questions, he became angry."

He was said to have kept photographs Ms Brown had taken while serving on a number of Australian military bases.

But Brigitte's lawyer Harry Durimel said he objected to the court's characterisation of the couple's relationship.

"They are painting him as a monster not even capable of love," he said. "That his marriage to Melanie Brown was just part of a recruitment."
(A similarly weird pattern of marriages is taking place among terrorist islamic converts in the Netherlands. Therefore Brigitte's lawyer doesn't know of or can't see the big picture.)

The court was told Brigitte had been arrested before he was told what his targets would be, but that his discovery froze the terrorist plot.

Police are said to have found information on military and nuclear sites around Australia in his possession. His diary also contained the name of Melbourne businessman Joseph Gutnick, the target of another terrorist plot.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin--><b>Brigitte sent to Australia for terrorist plot, court told</b>
By Rafael Epstein

A Paris court has heard evidence that French Muslim convert Willie Brigitte was sent to Australia to plot a terrorist attack on the orders of Pakistani extremists.

French terrorism investigators told the court they believe Brigitte played a major role in a plot to commit terrorist attacks in Sydney four years ago.

The 38-year-old French Muslim convert is charged with terrorist activity in France, Pakistan and Australia, but is refusing to cooperate with the court.

The court heard that the days before he left for Australia, investigators tracked a number of phone calls between Brigitte and two suspects - one in Pakistan and another who was later arrested in Britain.
One of the men is said to have asked during a recorded conversation, quote "How is our French connection project?" - a reference to Brigitte.

Brigitte has repeatedly refused requests from the judge to respond to evidence he had given contradictory statements to investigators.

<b>The court heard Brigitte had initially told French interrogators that he had undergone training and had been involved in a plot.</b>

But then he said he had been manipulated and he had feared for his life and the safety of his wife.

<b>Later he denied any training and any knowledge of a plot. </b>

In court, he refused repeated requests to explain his changing answers to questions under interrogation.

The trial is expected to conclude tomorrow.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin--><b>Brigitte: I'm no terrorist</b>
WILLY BRIGITTE, the Frenchman accused of plotting to blow up nuclear and military installations in Australia, said in a French court yesterday that he was not a terrorist and that "after three years in prison, I have lost all trust in French justice".

Dressed in a black tracksuit, his short black hair in dreadlocks, the Caribbean-born Brigitte faced a three-judge tribunal whose president read a dossier of his alleged terrorist activities compiled by French investigators.

But when Brigitte was given his chance to respond, he dismissed the claims against him.

"If an impartial investigation had been conducted, it would have shown I am not a terrorist, I have never been involved in the preparation of a terrorist act," Brigitte told the court.

"Terrorism is the opposite of my conception of life, and the conception of Islam, which believes in the respect of life."
(Yeah, yeah. Religion of peace. Got it. Yawn.)

The dossier included an allegation that a document found on Brigitte - who lived in Sydney from May to October 2003 - contained maps of Australian military and nuclear installations, the judge said. The maps had been downloaded from websites. Brigitte also possessed a copy of The Art of War by Chinese philosopher Sun Tzu and information on how to escape detection in crowded places.
(Why is it that all these islamoterrorists can't resist picking up a copy of the pagan Art of War or learning pagan Asian martial arts? Guess, it's because there is no science or logic to their own islamic ideology and so they've only ever plagiarised techniques and ideas from kafirs.)

A mobile phone taken from Brigitte showed that calls he made before arriving in Australia in May 2003 included ones to an Australian number.

Judge Jacqueline Rebeyrotte said an al-Qaeda member under questioning had said a large-scale attack, possibly involving the Opera House, had been planned. But Brigitte's name was not mentioned specifically in this context.

Judge Rebeyrotte said the radical Islamists with whom Brigitte had trained in Kazakhstan in 2001 were the same people he had maintained contact with in Europe, the US and Australia.

<b>For example, Sheik Abdul Salam Zoud, who married Willie Brigitte and Melanie Brown in Sydney in 2003, was good friends with two Americans of Pakistani origin who were in the same Lashkar-e-Taiba camp with Brigitte in Pakistan in 2001.</b>

Flanked by two guards, Brigitte stood for 100 minutes as the judge read the dossier outlining his conversion to a radical form of Islam in 1997, his study in Yemen under jihadists known to be connected to Osama bin Laden, and his participation in secret military training in Normandy and Fontainbleau, 50 kilometres from Paris, in 1998 and 1999.

He is charged with "criminal conspiracy in relation to a terrorist enterprise," the offence most French terrorism suspects are charged with and which carries a jail sentence of up to 10 years.

Entering the Palais de Justice court, one of Brigitte's lawyers, Jean-Claude Durimel, said the case against him was without proof. Mr Durimel's brother Harry, who is also representing Brigitte, said his client went to the camps merely to "deepen his faith".

He said the prosecution of Brigitte was a typical "post-September 11 case. They are trying to clean up the world that seems to be too Muslim".
(What's the defence saying: that when people finally realised nazism was evil, it was scapegoating to accuse nazis of nazism?
Only after Sept 11 did the rest of the world catch on a little to what islam was.)

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin--><b>Brigitte terror trial begins in Paris</b>
By Chris Lines and Pierre Grundman in Paris
February 08, 2007
FRENCH Muslim convert Willie Brigitte, accused of a terrorist plot in Australia, told investigators he went to the country to flee the influence of an Islamic extremist group leader, a Paris court heard.
Brigitte is accused, among other things, of <b>setting up a terror cell in Australia on the orders of the Pakistani Islamic extremist group Lashkar-e-Toiba.</b>

Targets were to include the Lucas Heights nuclear reactor in Sydney and military bases across the country.

He faces up to 10 years' jail on a charge of criminal association with a view to committing a terrorist act.

More than three and a half years since his arrest in, and deportation from, Australia, he finally got his day in court overnight.

Wearing short dreadlocks, a goatee beard and thin-rimmed glasses, he stood in the dock of the court in the Palais de Justice, flanked by two armed security guards, and listened as chief judge Jacqueline Rebeyrotte outlined the case against him.

“You are alleged to have taken part in a group on the territories of Yemen, Pakistan and Australia that was formed in order to prepare one or several terrorist acts,” the judge said.

The judge said Brigitte had told investigators he went to Australia to escape the influence of <b>Lashkar-e-Toiba</b> commander Sajid Mir and Australian-based terrorist Faheem Lodhi.
(Poor unfortunate islamoterrorist Brigitte, afraid of the more advanced terrorists of islam.)

Mir is being tried as a co-accused in absentia.

Pakistan-born architect Lodhi has been sentenced to 20 years' jail for plotting to blow up Sydney's electricity grid.

Brigitte married former Australian Army signaller and Muslim convert Melanie Brown, who was questioned by French officials and whose evidence is to be used in the Paris trial.

“At one stage he understood that he was being manipulated, but by getting married in Australia he was hoping to escape the control of Sajid and Abu-Hamza (Lodhi's alias),” the judge told the court when detailing the case built by investigators.

The judge also told the court that Pakistani-Americans subsequently convicted in the US had given evidence that Brigitte had undergone weapons training alongside them in Pakistan.

Throughout the proceedings Brigitte sat stony faced and refused to answer questions, after first making a brief statement saying his testimony to investigators was being misrepresented.

“If an impartial investigation had been conducted, it would have shown I am not a terrorist. I have never been involved in the preparation of a terrorist act,” he told the court.

“Terrorism is the opposite of my conception of life and the conception of Islam, which believes in the respect of life.

“I have lost all faith in French justice. I have decided I will not declare anything to you anymore, and will let my lawyers speak for me.”

Throughout the hearing, the judge repeatedly asked Brigitte why he refused to answer questions after having co-operated with investigators and whether that showed he was afraid of retribution from Islamist groups.

Brigitte refused to reply.

Outside court, Brigitte's lawyers denied their client was involved in terrorist groups.

They said he attended camps with the banned terrorist group Lashkar-e-Toiba only for religious instruction, despite the fact weapons and explosives training were conducted there.
(Attending religious instruction at banned terrorist group training camp!)

“If people you were learning with were only teaching, weapons and fighting and killing, that is not why he would have gone - he went there for the religious part,” his lawyer Harry Durimel said.
(Dhimmi Durimel)

“Is it a crime to learn you religion, is it a crime to use your knowledge in an organisation?”

Mr Durimel also said Brigitte only went to Australia to “start a new life and get married to an Australian woman”.
(I don't move anywhere specifically to marry a random local? What's up with that? He married her, an ex-army person, within 13 days of their meeting!)

Brigitte, a 38-year-old from the French Caribbean island of Guadeloupe, was arrested in Australia in 2003 following a tip-off from the French intelligence services and deported for immigration offences.

The prosecution case against Brigitte will detail not just his activities in Australia in 2003 - where he lived in Sydney for five months before being detected - but will go back to his conversion to Islam at the end of 1997.

Soon afterwards he joined a group which underwent military-style training in France.

Some members of that group were later convicted over the assassination of anti-Taliban Afghan leader Ahmad Shah Massood in September 2001.

It is alleged Brigitte went to Yemen for religious training in Islamic schools linked to people close to al-Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden.

After Yemen, Brigitte allegedly underwent weapons and explosives training at a Lashkar-e-Toiba camp in Pakistan.

<b>It is there that he met Mir, the man in charge of foreign recruits, who allegedly paid for Brigitte's fare to Australia, and put him in contact with Lodhi.</b>

<b>Lodhi and Mir allegedly planned for Brigitte to link up with a Chechen explosives expert to attack targets in Australia.</b>

<b>In Sydney, Brigitte was in contact with Lodhi and associates connected with the Lakemba Muslim community.</b>
(Terrorist/mufti Sheikh Hilaly was set to speak to the same islamic community of Lakemba yesterday or today.)

When French intelligence eventually realised Brigitte had moved to Australia, they contacted spy agency ASIO, and he was arrested in October 2003 and deported.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
More on the terrorist islamics of Sydney's Lakemba:

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->Brigitte's five months in Australia were frequently mentioned, including his <b>marriage to Melanie Brown and its celebration by the radical imam of Lakemba Mosque in Sydney's west, Sheik Abdul Salem Mohammed Zoud. </b>

The court also heard of Brigitte's arrest in Australia over visa irregularities.

There were references to website pages, including maps of nuclear installations, and his frequent association with Sunni radicals from the Lakemba Mosque.

The charges, including mention of preparations of attacks in Australia, were expected to be laid out late last night.

Brigitte will retract an earlier admission that he trained with the al-Qa'ida-linked terror group Lashkar-e-Toiba in Pakistan.

He will claim his confession was forced under police pressure and that his travels around the world were to deepen his understanding of Islam.

"I have been studying religion and travelling lot of countries ... and every time I came back I never had any problem with immigration control, and the (French intelligence service) has never had anything against me," he said in his initial outburst.

The opening morning of Brigitte's trial revealed fascinating details of his life and conversion to Islam in the late 1990s.

Brigitte's second wife before his third marriage to the Australian Ms Brown, revealed that he became "a real dictator" who was obsessed with imposing codes of Islamic dress and Koranic rules on her and their two children, after his conversion.

The court also heard of a letter Brigitte wrote to his wife from Yemen, in which he said she had a husband for whom it is "Allah until death".

Brigitte, from the French Caribbean island of Guadeloupe, was arrested in Australia in 2003 following a tip-off from French intelligence services, and deported for immigration offences.

He has been in French custody ever since and now faces up to 10 years in jail.

Brigitte's long-awaited trial was to be heard by three judges over three days under the likely watch of Australian law enforcement authorities.

France's top anti-terrorism judge, Jean-Louis Bruguiere, who investigated the case, suspects him of setting up a terrorist cell in Australia on the orders of Lashkar-e-Toiba.

Its alleged targets included the Pine Gap US electronic intelligence outpost in central Australia, the Lucas Heights nuclear reactor in Sydney, and military bases across the country.

A former head of France's DGSE foreign intelligence agency, Alain Chouet, has cast doubt on the prosecution's case.

"Objectively, there isn't very much against him. If the Australians had concrete, converging evidence, why didn't they prosecute him themselves?" he said.
(Australia and France together have enough evidence. Brigitte's other islamic friend and contact, Paki Lodhi has already been caught for connected terrorist activities in Australia.)

Brigitte, from the French Caribbean island of Guadeloupe, was arrested in Australia in October 2003 following a tip-off from French intelligence services, and deported to France, where he has been held in custody ever since.
(Are there many islamoconverts in the Caribbean?)

French prosecutors accuse Brigitte of, among other things, setting up a terror cell in Australia on the orders of the Pakistani Islamic extremist group Lashkar-e-Toiba.

The case alleges he attended Islamic schools linked to al-Qaeda in Yemen and that he later underwent weapons training in Pakistan to prepare him for a terror attack.

"You are accused of taking part in a group on the territories of France, Yemen, Pakistan and Australia that was formed in order to prepare one or several terrorist acts," said chief judge Jacqueline Rebeyrotte, reading out the charge sheet.

Living in the southwest suburbs of Sydney, Brigitte took a job in a kebab shop, married an Australian Muslim convert and former army signaller, Melanie Brown - his third wife - and allegedly drew up plans for an attack.

<b>One of his alleged contacts in Australia was Faheem Khalid Lodhi, a Pakistani-born</b> architect sentenced to 20 years in jail in 2006 for planning to blow up Sydney's power grid.

But the judge said Brigitte had told investigators he went to Australia to escape the influence of Lashkar-e-Toiba commander Sajid Mir - who is being tried as a co-accused in absentia - and of Australian-based Lodhi.

"At one stage he understood that he was being manipulated, but by getting married in Australia he was hoping to escape the control of Sajid and Abu-Hamza (Lodhi's alias)," the judge said.
(Islamoterrorist Brigitte is frightened of his pals, in case he snitches on the grand plans for islamic conquest/destruction.)

Outside court, Brigitte's lawyer, Jean-Claude Durimel, said the prosecution case was not backed up with facts.
Mr Durimel said Brigitte only went to Australia to "start a new life and get married to an Australian woman".

Asked if Brigitte was moved to Sydney as part of a mission, Mr Durimel said: "Yes, if the mission was to marry an ex-Jewish Australian woman who was a convert to Islam and <b>an ex-Australian soldier</b>, but that is not the mission of a mujahideen".

On February 8, besides the Express, the Rashtriya Sahara , which came under scanner last week for supporting the Qadiani and Israeli causes in India, also carried a UNI release reporting an agreement signed to strengthen Hindu-Jew unity. The agreement was signed by Israel’s Chief Rabbi Metzger and Convenor Hindu Dharma Acharya Sabha Swami Dayananda Saraswati at the end of the two days meetings. The UNI report did mention the presence of some Muslims in the meetings but did not mention their names. It also says that World Council of Religious Leaders (WCORL) contributed to the inking of this agreement.

Muslims’ condemnation

The meeting of self-styled Muslims with Jewish rabbis has sent shock waves through the large segments of Muslim masses in India. Indian Muslims fail to comprehend the reason why few self-styled Muslim leaders are becoming instrumental in the hands of Zionists by meeting Jewish rabbis and Israeli ambassador particularly at a time when the Israel’s efforts to demolish Masjid al-Aqsa are going on.

The Express of February 9 carries wide condemnation of the Meer Jafars for their act of treachery by the various Muslim individuals and organisations, including Shahi Imam Masjid Fatehpuri Delhi Mufti Mukarram Ahmad, Secretary Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind Maulana Abdul Hameed Noamani, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Assistant Secretary Intizar Naeem, Kamal Farooqui, president Muslim Political Council of India Dr Tasleem Ahmad Rahmani, general secretary All India Tanzeemul Muslimeen Habeebullah Hashmi, president All India Minorities Conference Piyarey Mian. They have termed the event ‘unfortunate,’ and the self-styled Muslims ‘treacherous’ and ‘deceitful’. Some of them called these Meers ‘BJPmen’ and some others averred ‘they do not represent the Muslim community’; they are ‘self-styled’.

Dr Tasleem Rahmani said, “No one can be allowed to go against the agreed-upon view of Muslim Ummah on Israel howsoever great and wealthy he may be and howsoever high posts he may hold… Such a meeting of Muslim leaders with the (Jewish) delegation hurts the sentiments of Muslims and the very personality of these leaders becomes doubtful. Institutions like India Islamic Cultural Centre and Jamia Millia Islamia are the trust of Ummah and it does not behove the functionaries of such institutions, even in their personal capacity, to establish relationships with anti-Muslim people and organisations, not to say of bringing disgrace to the entire community by holding meetings with anti-Muslim Israeli delegation.”

On February 9 the Inquilab carried a brief but front-paged report of both the meetings held at Advani’s residence on February 6 and at Hotel Oberoi on February 7, mentioning the names of the Muslims who participated in the meetings.

February 09, 2007 15:04 IST

Two siblings of ethnic Indian origin claiming to be Hindus have demanded that Malaysian authorities change their religion on their birth certificates that show them as Muslims.

S Jeevanathan, 22, and his sister S Maneemegalay, 21, are practising Hindus and are worried about their future as they have been certified as Muslims after their father K Seshadri converted from Hinduism to Islam before they were born.

Children of Muslim parents in Malaysia are automatically certified as Muslims, and conversions are rarely permitted.

Jeevanathan said his father converted to Islam as an 18-year-old after his grandparents decided to embrace the religion.

Their father reverted to Hinduism in 1991, but was buried by Islamic authorities as a Muslim last month despite the protests of his children, the New Straits Times said on Friday.

Jeevanathan also claimed that the religious department officers had intimidated and threatened him and his sister before taking away their father's body on that ill fated day.

The siblings, registered as Hindus on their identity cards, are trying to change their Muslim status on their birth certificates but have been turned down so far by Malaysia's National Registration Department.

Malacca religious department enforcement head Rahimin Bani said the department claimed Seshadri's body based on the police report lodged by his children from his first marriage.

"According to the law, when one embraces Islam, there is no provision that allows him to take another religion or go back to his former religion," Bani said.

In 2005, religious and racial tensions were raised when an ethnic Indian mountaineering hero born a Hindu was buried as a Muslim despite his family's protests.

The above might be because Malaysia was well on its way to becoming an islamic pardees (and role-model for all other dar-ul-islams to emulate) back in 2002 already. The Hindu siblings above could well be sentenced to death if the government accuses them of apostasy rather than the Hindus-by-birth that they are:

[Photo caption] Malaysia is a multi-ethnic society with a range of faiths

A state government in Malaysia has approved a bill to bring in Islamic criminal laws, including death by stoning for adultery and cutting off hands and feet for theft.
The bill on hudud law - the Islamic penal code - was proposed by the government of Terengganu, a rural state in the north-east run by Islamic party PAS.

The bill was easily passed as PAS (Parti Islam se-Malaysia) has 28 members in the assembly, with only four from the United Malays National Organisation (Umno) which dominates nationally.

But PAS has little chance of imposing the proposed law as the federal government controlled by Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad's coalition has vowed to block it.

The state government in Kelantan, the other Malaysian state controlled by PAS, passed similar laws in 1993 but they have never been enforced because of federal government opposition.

<b>Harsh punishments</b>
As the controversial bill was passed on Monday, the Umno legislators left the chamber in protest.

Under the code, a robber who kills his victim can be <b>sentenced to death and crucified</b>. A thief's right hand is <b>amputated</b> for his first offence, and his left foot for the second.

[Photo caption:] Dr Mahathir is seen as a moderate Muslim

<b>A Muslim who renounces Islam is punished by death.</b>

Women's groups have been particularly angered as the bill states that <b>four male Muslim witnesses are needed to prove a rape</b>.

<b>If they cannot back up their claims</b> they can be charged with slander, which is punished by <b>whipping</b>.

Sodomy and adultery is punishable by <b>death by stoning</b>, while Muslims who consume alcohol can be <b>whipped up to 80 times</b>.

Analysts say PAS - the main opposition party in Malaysia - is using the Islamic law as a way to try to win the support of the country's Muslims ahead of general elections due in 2004.

But Terengganu's Chief Minister Abdul Hadi Awang has defended the bill.

"Although our penalties are harsh and terrifying, we must realise that these offences and sins... are truly evil and despicable," he told the assembly on Sunday.

Mr Abdul Hadi, a hardliner, has been the party's acting president since the death last month of more moderate leader Fadzil Noor.

Muslims make up <i>just over half</i> of Malaysia's 23 million people, but they are in the majority in Terengganu.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->So Shariah is what happens when islamics exceed the 50% mark.

No doubt, any members of the Indian ummah who tuned in to this wonderful news back in 2002, would have rushed off to get their visas and tickets and work permits for Malaysia to be on their way to finally living in a country that has implemented so much of what a glorious Dar-ul-Islam ought to be.
A shame not enough Indian Muslims found out about this news and are instead lingering on in ignorance and misery in the world's Kafir capital nation: the "idolatrous, polytheistic, kafiristan" of Hindusthan.
And no doubt the christos of India so supportive of their equally 'oppressed' Indian islamic brethren will consider Malaysia as a prime example of a secular nation, and contrast it positively against 'unsecular, Hindoo fundamentalist' Bharat.

<b>Muslim wins compo over jail diet ruling</b>
<b>A child sex-offender</b> has won a discrimination case against the Queensland government because he was denied food prepared in accordance with Muslim religious laws and fed vegetables, nuts and tinned meat.

In a ruling the government fears could trigger an avalanche of claims from other prisoners denied special dietary requests, the Supreme Court found Sharif Mahommed, who was sentenced to eight years imprisonment in 2000, had been discriminated against.

He will be allowed to keep $2000 in compensation and not pay for tens of thousands of dollars in legal bills spent to defend his case, The Australian reports.

Mahommed is now out of prison and said he suffered stress and lost weight while behind bars because he was denied fresh halal meat.

He blamed prison authorities for their "lack of knowledge in understanding my religious beliefs, poor training skills, coupled with a no-care and negative attitude to inmates in general", the court was told.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin--><b>Hundreds flee Philippine clashes</b>
Feb 13, 2007

Hundreds of people have fled a village in the southern Philippines after troops stormed a Muslim rebel base, hunting for dozens of prisoners who escaped from jail earlier this month, the rebels and officials said on Tuesday.

Tanks rolled into the remote village on the island of Mindanao as soldiers shelled positions of the <b>Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF)</b>, with 105mm howitzers, Mohaqher Iqbal, an official from the group said.

<b>The MILF, the Philippines' largest Muslim separatist group</b>, has a shaky ceasefire with the government of the largely Catholic country.

There were no casualties reported but more than 200 families starting fleeing their homes and farms before daybreak on Sunday when soldiers launched an offensive in the area, Iqbal said.

"We're strongly protesting the indiscriminate use of force," said Iqbal, who also heads the rebels' peace negotiating panel. "They're putting at risk the innocent Muslim communities and threatening the peace process."

But the Philippine military denied targetting the MILF and said it was pursuing a group of 50 prisoners who escaped from a local jail on February 2.

"Our pursuit operations were not directed at them but against those who escaped from the provincial jail in Kidapawan," army spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Julieto Ando said, adding soldiers had come under heavy gunfire while approaching the village.

The government and the MILF are trying to revive peace talks stalled since May 2006 due to differences over a proposed deal on territory in the south.

But efforts have been complicated by intermittent clashes between the rebels, soldiers and militias since January.

Iqbal said the rebels' ceasefire panel had filed an official protest, asking the military to stop attacking rebel positions.

Separately, US-trained Philippine troops killed two militants of the smaller but most violent Abu Sayyaf group during a 90-minute gun battle in the jungles of Jolo island, also in the troubled south of the country.

Brigadier-General Reynaldo Mapagu said soldiers on a training mission chanced upon a 40-member Abu Sayyaf group preparing for lunch.

"We didn't lose any soldier but we are believed to have inflicted more casualties on their side," Mapagu told reporters in Manila.

<b>Abu Sayyaf, suspected of close ties with al Qaeda and the regional militant group Jemaah Islamiah</b>, is blamed for the worst terror attack in the Philippines, killing more than 100 people in the bombing of a passenger ferry near Manila bay in February 2004.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin--><b>Taliban flood in to aid dam attack</b>

Feb 12, 2007

At least 700 Taliban fighters have crossed from Pakistan into Afghanistan to attack a key dam, a major source of electricity, a provincial governor said on Monday.

"We have got confirmed reports that <b>they are Pakistani, Uzbek and Chechen nationals and have sneaked in</b>," Helmand Governor Asadullah Wafa told Reuters by telephone.

The dam, Kajaki, has seen major fighting in recent weeks between the Taliban and NATO forces, mainly British and Dutch.

<b>NATO, US and Taliban commanders warn a major offensive will come in spring</b> when the snows melt in a few months, after the bloodiest year since the hardline Islamists were ousted by a US-led coalition in 2001.

More than 4,000 people died last year.

Wafa said the Taliban fighters were brought in by local commanders for a joint operation with al Qaeda.

"They are planning to destroy the Kajaki dam," he said, <b>accusing Pakistan's military intelligence agency, ISI, of providing training and logistical support for the guerrillas.</b>

"Pakistan is supporting the Taliban in order for them to keep fighting on in Afghanistan. They don't want Afghanistan's development and reconstruction," he said.

Pakistan denies continuing to support the Taliban ( <!--emo&:liar liar--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/liar.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='liar.gif' /><!--endemo--> ), its former protege, but Afghan officials say it does. The United States says the guerrillas benefit from safe havens in Pakistan and support from fellow Pashtun tribes, while also rejecting charges Islamabad officially supports the resurgent rebels.

<b>Gates visits Pakistan</b>
The Afghan government, backed by its western supporters, has launched a major effort to refurbish the dam and the power transmission network to increase its power output.

Wafa's comments came as <b>US Defence Secretary Robert Gates visited Pakistan</b> briefly on his way home from NATO talks in Spain in which Afghanistan and calls for more foreign troops features prominently.

He said the United States would not repeat the mistake of letting extremists take control of Afghanistan.
(Everyone, including Americans, now know that the US created the Taliban. Why keep up the pretence?)

"After the Soviets left the United States made a mistake. We neglected Afghanistan and extremism took control of that country," Gates told a news conference at the Chaklala military air base in the garrison city of Rawalpindi.
(Huh? 'After the Soviets left the United States' - is that a typo?
Anyway. The mistake the US made was in teaming up with Terroristan and creating the Taliban. There should be no crying now over the milk they purposefully spilled.)

"The United States paid a price for that on September 11, 2001. We won't make that mistake again," Gates said.

Several Taliban fighters were also killed on Monday in an attack targeting a senior guerrilla leader closely linked to the Islamist movement's fugitive leader, Mullah Mohammad Omar, the US-led coalition said in a statement.

It did not name the leader, nor say he was caught in the operation by US-led troops.

The militants were killed near the town of Greshk in Helmand, a Taliban bastion and the main drug producing region of Afghanistan, the world's largest producer of heroin.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Post 97:
That paper 'Call to muslims to seduce Sikh girls to islam' shows what a non-entity islamics consider women to be. Apparently islamics think women are stupider than animal females, the latter do a prodigious amount of checking that the males being considered have enough resources to support offspring.
So I really want to know, what woman would want to marry an islamic?
<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->'Muslims are more attractive and intelligent than other people which should be helpful in the seduction process'<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd--> <!--emo&:roll--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ROTFL.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='ROTFL.gif' /><!--endemo-->
(1) More attractive? Yeah, I see it now. It must be the thick monobrow, the bloodshot bulging terrorist eyes, and icky bushy beard which gives off that dangerous OBL vibe which women go nuts over, right? So really, what every woman wants is their own private j-hadi terrorist, whom one can't help immediately associating with the T-ban seen on the news beating up the unfortunate fully-covered Afghan women or executing them?
Even the shaven islamic men one can see on tv have a nasty angry look about them (possibly not all of them, but the ones I've seen in TV film adverts and pop songs in India do), as if they've been mistreated since childhood and are now carrying the bullying baton themselves.
But less said about the hysterical 'more attractive than other people' statement, the better.
(2) More intelligent? I'm going to have to let this one go, I might die of a laughing fit while trying to write something down. Certain that even the writers were laughing when they came up with this one. But they probably thought women (of whom they have such a low opinion) who read it will believe it, just 'cause of their say-so.

Their outline for how to go about 'seducing' women is spectacularly boorish at best. Methinks all women would prefer being beaten over the head with a club, caveman-wise, to being thus crudely 'courted' by islamis.

To think that they really consider that 50% of the human population is made up of complete nitwits. It says everything about islam and the kind of man it makes (and nothing about women, of course).

On the matter of the boorish faithful:

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin--><b>Zawahri calls US troop increase doomed</b>
Al-Qaeda's second-in-command Ayman al-Zawahri said US President George W Bush's troop build-up in Iraq was a gamble bound to fail and criticised his Democrat rivals for not bringing any change in Washington's policy.

"(Bush's) addiction to gambling ... motivates him to continue to place losing bets until he goes completely bankrupt," the US private SITE Institute's web page quoted Zawahri as saying in an audio recording posted on the internet.

"Were the Americans to leave him alone, he would continue to send their forces to Iraq until the mujahideen kill the last one of their soldiers."

Bush has announced plans to send 21,500 more troops to Iraq to try to quell the unrelenting violence.

Democrats swept Republicans from power in Congress in November amid popular dissatisfaction with policies on Iraq.

The SITE Institute, a private US organisation that tracks militant statements, posted a 6,600-word English-language transcript of Zawahri's purported 41-minute web recording. It was not immediately possible to authenticate the statement.

Zawahri criticised the Democrats for not forcing Republican Bush's hand on Iraq.

"The people chose you (Democrats) due to your opposition to Bush's policy in Iraq, but it appears that you are marching with him to the same abyss, and it appears that you will take part with him in the defeat," Zawahri said.

Addressing the United States and Britain, the Egyptian militant cleric said: "With every delay you make in resorting to wise and realistic policies, your losses will increase."

Zawahri said the people of nations that took part in wars against Muslim nations could not be "absolved" of blame because they supported the leaders who made the decision to fight.

"You are not facing individuals or organisations, but the jihadist uprising of the angry ... Muslim nation," he said.

In his statement to mark the late January Islamic new year, Zawahri said one of the most important events of the past year had been an admission of failure by "the notorious liar" Bush.

The US-allied governments of Iraq and Afghanistan should think about their fate after US troops leave, he said.

"These traitors in Iraq and Afghanistan must face their inevitable fate, and face up to the inescapable facts. America ... is about to depart and abandon them, just as it abandoned their like in Vietnam," he said.

"If the mujahideen have ... broken the back of America, will its agents hold their own against them in the absence of America? If tanks and planes were of no help to America, what, for the traitors, will take the place of the foreign aid and backing?"

He also vowed reprisals against Arab and Muslim countries that supported the US-led wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
(Aaah. Good old christoislam: if you're not for them, they think you're against them, even if you are a christoislamic.)

"As for the states which colluded with the crusaders in their invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan, they must reap their bitter harvest."

<b>Zawahri called on all Muslims to unite under the banner of an Islamic state rather than be split in Arab and other states.</b>
(Yet if all of them unite under AQ's suggestion, all muslims will be considered enemies in the war on terror.
If a muslim is for the war on terror (or inactive), he's considered against 'islamic state'. If he's for 'islamic state' (as directed by AQ), he's considered an enemy in the war on terror. You gotta love christoislamism's enforced dualism.)

<b>"I ask God ... to consolidate this state ... which will proceed to liberate Jerusalem," </b>he said.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
