Apologies if someone's posted this already.

Religion of Peace attempted to go after Americans in Germany a few days back. Turns out the 'peace'-niks were trained (where else) in Terroristan, America's best friend and beneficiary of US billions. And yet the US did not see this coming... (Naivete or stupidity on their part, <i>or</i> is Terroristan a necessary helper of US interests in Asia despite all the risks involved?) So when's the next funds transfer from US to Pak going to take place?

Germany should ask the US government to reimburse them for the national expenditure gone to waste on defending US facilities from terrorists trained on American dough (6 months of monitoring expenses). And Americans should protest to get their government to stop funding the very country (Pakistan) which is training the terrorists who are after them.

<b>Three men with links to Al Qaeda have been arrested in Germany on suspicion of planning a massive terrorist attack on US citizens there.</b>

Over 40 properties were raided across Germany.

Three men were arrested and they are suspected members of a <b>German cell with links to a group named Islamic Jihad Union. </b>

German prosecutors say the three had <b>trained at camps in Pakistan</b> and had bought 700 kilograms of chemicals for explosives.

<b>They allegedly planned to use large vehicles loaded with bombs and were targeting places visited by Americans such as nightclubs, pubs, airports and a US military base.</b>

The German Government says the suspects posed "an imminent threat" and had been <b>under surveillance for six months</b>.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/6979295.stm

German authorities are making clear that they believe they have foiled a major terrorist plot - and add that the country remains in the firing line.

"It has been shown once again that our country is a target of international terrorism and not just a resting or a withdrawal area for the terrorists," said the federal prosecutor at a news conference.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Investigators first thought the bombs were part of a blackmail attempt, but they now believe the incident was the work of a terrorist group based in Germany.

A note written in Arabic, a telephone number in Lebanon, and packets of starch with labels in Arabic and English were found alongside the devices.

<b>'Ex-Muslims' demand right to leave Islam</b>
September 13, 2007
<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->The Hague: A 22-year-old Dutch-Iranian will launch a campaign on Tuesday for Muslims to have the right to renounce their faith and find support from peers, a view which has made him the victim of three physical attacks.

Although similar initiatives have started elsewhere in Europe, Ehsan Jami's group has stirred intense interest in the Netherlands, which has one million Muslims, and has re-ignited the country's highly-emotive Islam debate. "We have an enormous problem with apostasy in Islam. We see a lot of problems where people want to leave Islam but they can't," Jami said in an interview, while body guards stood watch at the door.

"There are five sharia schools in Islam which say if you leave Islam you must be killed," he said. Apostasy is punishable by death or imprisonment in some Muslim countries and deplored throughout the Islamic world.

<b>His "Committee for Ex-Muslims" wants imams and Muslims to recognise fellow Muslims' right to leave their faith, and to respect freedom of religion. Jami's blunt criticism of Islam, which he likens to fascism and Nazism, has offended many Dutch Muslims, and earned comparisons to the rhetoric of Dutch anti-immigration politician Geert Wilders, whose party holds 9 of 150 seats in parliament</b>.

"People think I am a radical. They think I hate Muslims, but ... it is the ideology which is the problem and not the people themselves."

News of an attack on Jami in August by suspected Islamists caused outcry in the country, where a filmmaker critical of Islam was murdered in an Amsterdam street three years ago and where several high-profile lawmakers are guarded after death threats.

It also put issues of Islam, tolerance and integration uppermost in peoples' minds after a period of unprecedented social tension in the Netherlands looked to have eased.

On Monday a separate group of "Ex-Muslims" said they disagreed with Jami's methods and he had only succeeded in polarising communities.

"We defend the right to be able to walk away from any religion, including Islam. But they are using that right as a cover to categorically insult Muslims and to stigmatise them as 'violent' and 'terrorists'", said former Muslim Behnam Taebi in a statement.

Prominent Dutch imams have also taken issue with Jami's reading of the Koran and invited him to hold talks.

Jami will launch his campaign alongside representatives of other European ex-Muslim groups. Similar committees have been formed this year in Britain, Germany and Sweden.

The murder in November 2004 of filmmaker Theo Van Gogh by a Dutch-Moroccan Muslim militant and the work of former Dutch lawmaker Ayaan Hirsi Ali had made the Dutch particularly alert among Europeans to the dangers of intolerance in Islam, he said.

Can somebody translate it

I have attached the detailed write-up in English on what has been happening in Thenkashi. This news must spread everywhere. The father of the slain (He has lost 4 of his sons now) is just a tea-shop owner but his determination, courage and commitment even at this time of heartrending sorrow is awe-inspiring shows how Hinduism remains strong even after centuries of repeated onslaughts.

I have also attached the related Tamil links below for the rest of us who can read in Tamil.

<b>THENKASI TOWN UNDER THE STRANGLE HOLD OF ISLAMIC TERRORISTS</b>

Pudhuvai Saravanan
"80% of the population is Hindu, while 80% of all trading is in the hands of Muslims in Thenkasi." I board at the new bus terminus in Thirunelveli. After finding a seat in a bus to Thenkasi, I ask for two tickets to Thenkasi, the bus conductor stares at us steadily for a minute. The bus is full, yet a deathly quiet hovers in the bus. The bus starts, picks up speed, on both sides of the road our eyes feast upon lush, green fields. Yet, one just finds fear in the eyes of the bus passengers. A cool breeze from the fabled Podhigai hills wafts through the bus comforting us, and yet all we can feel is a grim wretchedness.
On the 14 th of August, three members of one family in Thenkasi were violently hacked to death. That the people of Thenkasi are yet to recover from this horror, is evident even at the start of our bus trip from Thirunelveli to Thenkasi. On arrival at Thenkasi, as we walk a few yards into the town from the bus stop, we pass the ancient Kulasekara Nathar Temple on the road.
Thenkasi, a small town, population :75,000, functions as a very busy hub. On a normal day thousands of people pass through the town from the neighboring villages. But now it looks empty like a small village, with very few people on the streets. All shops are open but no shoppers can be seen, and no business takes place; the bazaar looks deserted. All around town one sees shiny large ads for Haji Mustafa's textile and jewelry shops. Even on the mounds and public announcement posters of the traffic police, Haji Mustafa's ads are more prominent. Hindus of Thenkasi accuse the owner of Haji Mustafa shops of financing Muslim Terrorists.
But the police are thick with the owners of Haji Mustafa shops. Haji
Page 2
Mustafa textile shop has heavy police protection now. Thenkasi Municipality has 35 wards. In 8 of these wards Muslims are the sole residents. In other wards too, muslims are well distributed. In the town, Muslims are about 20% of the population but 80% of the town's business is in their hands. In grocery stores, textiles, medical, electrical, electronics shops, hotels, and vegetable shops, everywhere Muslims dominate. Most of the Hindus are either day laborers or wrap beedis for living.
We find women labourers wrapping beedis all around the Town of Thenkasi. Even in agriculture Hindus are few in number. There are about 15,000 to 20,000 Muslims in town. There are more than 50 Islamic institutions such as Arabic school, madrassa, prayer centres, mosque, and dharga. Whichever direction one turns there will be a madrassa or a mosque or an Arabic school. The very structure of the town shows that it is an ancient town. 15 days after the horrible murders of the 14th August, all streets in the town have police on them. Wherever Muslims reside exclusively the police are on guard in full strength. V.T.S. Rahman Batcha, a prominent industrialist and business owner in town, who is accused as the mastermind behind the murders of Kumar Pandian and his brothers, is said to be absconding according to the police. His house and shops are under full police protection. Police say that they are on the look out for him. But auto drivers and some people in town told us that Rahman Batcha is seen going for a walk everyday.
We visited the site where Muslims are trying to build a prayer centre. It is about 100 meters away on a street that is directly opposite Kasi Viswanathar temple. On the disputed site, there is a hotel by name Ananda Bhavan. It is owned by a Muslim. We inquired in the street about it. 'During the Karthikai Deepam festival there used to be a bonfire in this site. Before Muslims tried to build the prayer centre, there was a government run primary school here. Later there was an Ice factory. Later a public toilet, say the people on the street. The people in Thenkasi say that since Muslims have money power and political influence, they dominate everything.
Page 3
King Parakrama Pandian built the famous Kasi Viswanatha temple in Thenkasi. All the shops opposite the temple are owned by Muslims. Muslims have tried many times to encroach upon a mantap opposite the temple that was built for worshippers' resting. They have not given up on that and are still trying, say some old men.
Auto drivers tell us that the Muslim writ runs in the town. We inquired on what grounds they say this. "V.T.S. Rahman is funding the terrorists, everybody knows this. But the R.T.O office is on a site owned by him. In the evening, youths from many organizations like TMMK (Tamil Nadu Muslim Munnetrak Kazhagam), Tawhid Jamaat, Najjaat, MNP (Manitha Needhi Paasarai -a muslim front organization ostensibly standing for social justice and human rights) and Muslim Auto drivers assemble in the R.T.O office. That is where many things are plotted' they say.
TMMK, Tawhid Jamaat, Najjat and MNP, all religious fundamentalist organizations, each of them has their own auto stands. In these stands Hindu auto drivers can't park their vehicles, whereas Muslim auto drivers routinely park their vehicles in auto stands in Hindu areas. In Thenkasi, Muslims do not board Hindu owned autos, they check first to see if the auto is Muslim owned. Hindus don't have any such discriminating view, they travel in any and all autos. TMMK runs an Ambulance
service in Thenkasi. Even ordinary folks say that these ambulances smuggle arms. But even on the day of the murders (August 14th ) police permitted the TMMK ambulances to operate freely. A common view found even among ordinary people like women who wrap Beedis is that whoever is posted as a Police official in Thenkasi, they favor the Muslims, that is why such a situation has arisen. Senthil, brother of Kumar Pandian, who was hacked to death by Muslims, was struggling for life when TMMK ambulance picked him up and took him along for a few meters. The minute they realized that it was Senthil, they threw his body down and drove away. Many members of the public saw this incident. After 14 th august, there was a peace meeting. The Meeting was held to discuss the resolution to the dispute arising out of encroachment and prayer centre construction attempted by muslims on the temple land which led to the murders of Hindus. But at the end of the meeting a Muslim gentleman got up and said sarcastically, 'You are all assembled
here. If we all work together, we can finish building the prayer centre (Palli vasal in Tamil)'. That he said this in the presence of high police officials shocked the assembled Hindus. But the police officials looked on with no reaction whatever.
D.S.P of Thenkasi, Mr. Mayilvahanan, has banned customary events like dances, songs, puppetry, oyilattam in in all the temple festivals in and areas around Thenkasi. But all Muslim festivals are being permitted freely. That is a claim of made openly by the public in Thenkasi. In sum, since the police and the state in Tamil Nadu are acting blatantly in favor of
Page 4
Muslims, the Hindus in Thenkasi are feeling like orphans adrift. Kutralam hills may be providing a cool climate in town, the Podhigai breeze may be dancing through the town of Thenkasi, but the Hindus of Thenkasi are all incensed due to the Muslim extremist activities that go unchecked in the area.
Demands of Thenkasi Hindus!

• Institue a C.B.I inquiry on Kumar Pandian's murder
• Prohibit the building of Islamic prayer centre on the Temple land
• Monitor Muslim terrorist organizations in Thenkasi and ban them
• Police should stop charging innocent Hindu youth with imaginary offenses. Release all Hindu youths who were taken into custody after August 14th
.
• Prohibit the function to be organized on December 6th
• Government should offer jobs to the widows of Kumara Pandian and his brothers who were murdered by Muslim terrorists. All educational expenses of the children of these killed youth should be borne by the State which caused the deaths by neglecting its duty to the people
Page 5
Religious convert becomes a murderor
Pudhuvai Saravanan Abdullah is one of the Muslim terrorists who killed Kumar Pandian. He was recently converted from Hinduism into Islam. Neduvayal Achanputhur is a small town, 8 kilometers from Thenkasi, and it is here Karuppaia Pillai, his father lives. Abdullah was formerly Murugesan, one of the four sons of the couple Karuppaia Pillai and Maariammal.
Muslims are in considerable numbers in Achanputhur. There is a big mosque in this town. For the first time the town panchayat has a Muslim president, M.Ayub. We met Karuppaia Pillai in his house at Achanputhur. He runs a small grocery shop. It is a family in humble conditions. When we visit them, Karuppaia Pillai’s married daughter is home. Murugesan got converted just four years ago.
'When I heard that my son converted to Islam, I went to Kutralam, shaved my head and did all the last rites one performs for dead people. When people ask me about my son, I tell them that he died. My wife Maariammal, who was in good health, fell ill suddenly and died, soon after she heard that my son converted to Islam.', agonizes Karuppaiah Pillai. His daughter weeps inconsolably as she
talks. "My brother was a good man earlier. After he started interacting with Muslims
his behavior changed. Muslims converted him and have now made him a murderer'.
'It is his friendship with Muslims that has destroyed us' asserts Karuppaia Pillai. He is in poor health now. He has trouble in getting up or standing.
Religious conversion can so easily destroy a family and a community. This family's agonies are a clear example of such destructive results. Karuppaia Pillai declined to be photographed. But we took some pictures of the town, as can be seen on this page.
Those intellectuals who dismiss religious conversion as a problem will do better to
look at such incidents again and judge the ill-effects. This is a lesson in impending
disaster all across the country in the coming decades as Islamists pursue their
deadly agenda of destruction of Hindu society by resorting to conversions.
Page 6
KUMARAPANDIAN’SFAMILY
A pall of deathly quiet hangs over Thenkasi, as we visit Kumara Pandian’s family that lost four of its young men to Islamic terrorism, to find out how they are coping with their tragic losses. His family lives in Thenkasi Malyan Street. There is police security on the street corner and in front of the Subramanya swami temple that is nearby. The entire street is eerily silent. As we walk on the street, scared faces pop up in several houses along the street. We feel a sadness welling in our hearts as we get into Kumara Pandian’s house. We meet his brother Ravi Pandian, mother Azagammal, and wife Jeyanthi (age 37).
We meet Malathi (35) wife of Sekar, another brother killed; Kokila (24) wife of Suresh, a second brother killed, and Gomathi(26), wife of Senthil, the third brother killed.
Then we see their children Hariharan (13), Bhuvaneshwari (11), Thangarani (9),
Swarnabala (9), Azagu Dwaraka(4), Prabhakaran (1 3/4), Swathika (2 1/2) and Muthuram (8 months).
The fear and the grief on their faces brought tears to our eyes. Their grief is even more intense now, since Kumara pandian's brother Sakthi Pandian is in the custody of the Police.
The family has lost faith in the judicial system, since Sakthi Pandian had been under police guard twenty four hours a day for a while now, yet he was arrested in a murder case.
Ravi Pandian, another surviving brother of Kumara Pandian, spoke with us. When we raise a point, "the police say that your brothers attacked first", he replies, "In all of history you
Page 7
won’t find any instance where the Hindus attacked first. It is always the Muslims who begin attacks. That is what happened on this August 14th massacre too." His eyes reflect an overwhelming sadness at the loss of four brothers to a gruesome massacre. "you have lost four of your brothers due to this problem. What can be the solution in your opinion?" We ask. He replies, "Building a Mosque on the
temple land should be banned. In that place, currently Muslims are performing namaz. That should be stopped. 100 meters away from this site under dispute, V. T. S. Rahman Batcha has his own land. Why don’t they build a mosque there?"
"After this massacre, the police are trying to prevent any awareness of the problem arise among Hindus or Thevar solidarity arise around this. So they
are conducting a false propaganda, labeling this conflict as a feud between two families. Kumara Pandian was killed specifically for two reasons. First, he opposed building the mosque on temple land; Second, he was working on buying an ambulance on behalf of the Hindu Munnani (Hindu Front). After he was killed, my other brother Sakthi Pandian took over the leadership of Thenkasi town's Hindu Munnani. That is the reason for these recent massacres. This is not a family feud. These are murders entirely for religious reasons." said Ravi Pandian, trying
hard to control his sobs as he spoke. The murders of Kumara Pandian
and his brothers have made their 8 children fatherless children. Of these, five are girls. They study in government run schools. When Kumara Pandian was killed on 17th December, 2006 , his wife Jeyanthi was near term pregnant. Now she has an infant son, Muthuram, who is 8 months old.
Page 8
Kumara Pandian, Suresh, Sekar and Senthil were the pillars of the family. Now that all the four are killed, the family is utterly devastated. There are four women with no source of support, all widowed at the same time living under one roof, and 8 children who all lost their fathers in one fell swoop. How does such evil happen? How do we find ways to console them? In what language can we find words to bring any solace to them?
Page 9
“MUSLIMSDONOTLOVETHISLAND”
An interview with Sorna Thevar Pudhuvai Saravanan, Rajendran
Sorna Thevar is a father who lost four of his sons to Islamic terrorists. We met him at his home in Thenkasi for
‘Vijayabaharatham’. He had an eye operation few days before the massacre of his sons. Weeping over his three sons’ hacked bodies worsened his eyes, and he had to get another surgery done on his eyes. He had just returned from the Hospital.
What follows here is from our meeting.

What happened that day (14-08 2007)?
On 14-08-07, my son Senthil was traveling in a car, when a group of Islamic murderers waylaid the car and attacked him with weapons. When news reached us, my other sons Suresh and Sekar rushed there to save their younger brother.
Islamic terrorists, who were more than ten in number, hacked all my three my sons to death and escaped.
What is the main reason for these horrible murders?
My son (Kumara Pandian) was town leader for Hindu Munnani. He had been opposing the building of mosque on a plot of land that belongs to Kasi Viswanathar temple. On December 6th, Muslims posted a big banner near the temple and were causing a lot of trouble. My son opposed this as well. Enraged Muslims hacked my son Kumara Pandian to death on 17-12- 2006.
Abdulla and Hanifa who were arrested for killing my son, were released on bail recently. After Kumara Pandian was killed, few months later, Tamilnadu Muslim Munnetra kazagam thirunelveli district leader Maitheen Seit Khan was killed by some unidentified people. Police said it was due to intra Muslim rivalry. But after
few days, they arrested my younger son Senthil for that. Senthil recently got the bail. Abdullah and Hanifa who were arrested for Kumara Pandian murder case and Senthil who was arrested in Maitheen Seit Khan Murder case were ordered to sign in everyday at Thenkasi women's police station.
Abdulla and Hanifa always come to Police station with weapons. Police detected the weapons, but let them off with no action taken. My sons were killed at this juncture.
Page 10

Police say that the family feud is behind this massacre?
That is a blatant lie. There is no family feud between our family and Muslims. I have been in congress party from my childhood. I had been the town leader of the Congress party.
Even now, I hold the post of vice president in Thirunelveli west district congress committee. I have many Muslim friends due to this. My sons were killed since they opposed building a mosque on the temple land.
This is the truth.
Kumara Pandian opposed building a mosque on the temple
building a mosque on the temple land. Did your other sons oppose that as well?
Kumara Pandian was leader of the town’s Hindu Munnani. After he was killed, my other son Sakthi Pandian became the leader of town Hindu Munnani. This massacre is done by those Muslims who are enraged by this.
Those Muslims who killed Kumara Pandian have vowed in front of police high officials, ‘we will come out on bail and kill more people.” This was witnessed by many people among the public. So, this massacre happened for religious reasons. When the terrorists who killed Kumara Pandian were came out on bail, Muslims held Biriyani feasts for them. To provoke and anger the Hindus, Muslims here celebrated terrorists coming out on bail like a festival.
Don’t the newspapers say that your sons attacked first?
On the side of Muslims 3 people have lost the life and seven people are wounded. On the side of the Hindus, only my three sons were murdered. If my sons have planned this, would they go alone? Muslims have planned this attack. How is it possible for 10 people to assemble with lot of arms and weapons at the same time on the same day, without pre-planning? It is a clear planned attempt to target and destroy my family members.
What is the reason to target your family?
My son Kumar Pandian had opposed the building a mosque on the temple land. After he was killed, my other son Sakthi Pandian took up the responsibility as the leader of Hindu Munnani. These are the main two reasons for this massacre. It is not the first time that Thenkasi Muslims have resorted to violence and killing. From
1925 onwards, Muslims are causing problems. I stopped the Moharram festival that was used to target and insult Hindus. (Sorna Thevar had listed the killings and riots that were done by Muslims since 1925 in Thenkasi. That is to be published as a separate piece)
Page 11
Did the mosque exist in the controversial land already?
Some newspapers have reported that the mosque exists already and the controversy is due to the expansion of the mosque. This is not true. The land on which Muslims are trying to build the mosque belongs to Kasi Viswanathar Temple. There are enough proofs regarding this. I know that a government school operated
from that place. Those who studied in that school and who taught in that school are still around. After the school got its own building, it shifted. Then a Muslim took
a lease of that land to run an ice factory. After that Muslims have used that place as an urinal. For many years, that place was used as a urinal for Muslims of Thenkasi bazaar. This is known to everyone here. Suddenly one day, they put up a board that said "Thenkasi bazaar mosque" and started doing namaaz in the same place where they had an urinal for all these years. No one opposed?
No one opposed?

It is true that the Hindus turned a blind eye to this. Encouraged by this, Muslims approached the Thirunelveli district collector then, one Mr. Dhanavel, and asked for permission to start a mosque there. He promised approval if the Thenkasi Township passed a resolution approving this. Using their money power, the got the
resolution passed in the Township. Collector Dhanavel also approved the building of mosque there. Immediately, the Muslims became ready to start building the mosque. Bricks, sand and other stuff started coming there. It is at that time, my son Kumara Pandian gathered the Hindus in the town and started satyagraha and fasting to stop the building of the mosque. As the opposition grew, the mosque
building stopped.
This happened during the DMK rule. Then ADMK came to power. Collector was
changed. The new Collector temporarily banned the building of mosque as there is lot of oppostion to that. For few years, the Muslims kept their peace. When DMK came to power in 2006, the Muslims started building the mosque again. Again my son opposed this. Hence they hacked my son to death. Whenever DMK is in power, Muslims start the trouble and achieve whatever they want.
Your son Sakthi Pandian has been arrested..
After Kumara Pandian was killed, Sakthi Pandian took over the leadership of Hindu Munnani with courage. Sakthi Pandian already has police protection. There is a policeman with him 24 hours. Even then, they arrested him in this case. When we
questioned this action, the police say we have to arrest him since the Muslims have filed a complaint against him.
A week before Kumara Pandian was killed, Thenkasi Industrialist V T S Rahman Batch's brother had come to Kumara Pandian's house. He had enticed him, "Don’t oppose building a mosque. We will give you 12 lakhs if you drop your opposition. After the mosque is built, we would give you a shop in that building that will remain
rent free for your entire life". My son Kumara Pandian’s firm reply was,
Page 12
"Suppose I withdraw my objection to the mosque, after taking your money. You could finish the mosque. But, some day Hindus would demolish that mosque, may be even after 100 years. Just like Babar’s building that was built over the Ram Temple was destroyed after hundreds of years, Thenkasi Mosque too would be demolished. If that happens, Thenkasi would witness huge riots. If Thenkasi is to remain peaceful, I can’t permit the mosque to be built here". Within a month after this, my son Kumara Pandian was killed. That is why we filed a complaint against V T S Rahman Batcha, as we know that these murders can’t have taken place without his knowledge.
The same police which did not act on our complaints against V T S Rahman Batcha, jumped up with alacrity and arrested my son Sakthi Pandian immediately, when Muslims filed a complaint against my son. This clearly shows the police acting at the behest of the Muslims.
Do you say that VTS Rahman batcha is connected to the people who killed your son?

20 years back, this VTS Rahman Batcha was working for Gani&Co grocery shop in Thenkasi, for 800 rupees salary per month. His father had a small shop selling fruits and vegetables. While he was working for 800 rupees per month salary, he built a huge bungalow and invited his employer for the house warming party. Immediately looking at the huge bungalow of VTS Rahman Batcha, his boss terminated his employment. Then Rahman Batcha started his own grocery shop. It is said that Rahman Batcha who is running an ordinary grocery shop owns several crores worth property. He has been accused of involved in Hawala. VTS Rahman
Batcha's money is funneled into Islamic terrorist activities. So we complained to police asking for his arrest. He and his brother have repeatedly threatened Kumara Pandian many times. So, It is impossible that he is not related to the murder of my son. Even though a case has been filed against Rahman Batcha, police have not arrested him.
There was a report that you staged a demonstration against the police.

After my three sons were killed, police high officials came to talk to me. We refused to take the bodies of my three sons. Then we took the bodies directly from the hospital to the cremation ground only for maintaining peace in Thenkasi. We did not want to be a cause for riots in Thenkasi. I could have brought the bodies which were dumped in sacks to Thenkasi town. Had I done that, Thenkasi would have burned. For the sake of peace, we cooperated with the police. But soon after the cremation was finished, police had started showing their true colors. They started to arrest innocent Hindus on murder cases. Police, who came to Malyan street where our house is situated, started harassing the women and girls. To stop these atrocities, along with about 50 women, we went to
Page 13
Subramaniyar Temple in our street and staged a protest against police atrocities. Night time raids by police stopped only after this protest. An unimaginable horror has happened. What is the solution for this?
I am a Gandhian. I suffered beatings for freedom at the age of 6. I am getting beaten even today for that. We want peace. But I don't see an end to these massacres. Muslims do not love this land. If they do love this land, would they kill so many people for a mosque?
If mosque is an issue, would not a solution be arrived, if the a Hindus give up the opposition?
The place where the Muslims want to build the mosque belongs to
the centuries old Kasi Viswanathar Temple. That place is directly in front of the Ambal sannithi. It is just 100 meters from there. In this place, the Hindus build a bonfire. When the
Ambal chariot comes around, it is at this place, Ambal would grace the
population. If the mosque is opened there, nothing would be allowed there.
Muslims would ask Hindus to stop the celebratory music and playing drums
in front of the mosque. If the mosque is built, the peace in Thenkasi would
have to be written off. Would they allow building a Ganapathi temple
directly in front of a mosque or madrassa? You claim to have been a leader
of Thenkasi Congress party. Even

<b>'Ex-Muslims' demand right to leave Islam</b>

September 13, 2007
http://www.expressi ndia.com/ news/fullstory. php?newsid= 92044

The Hague: A 22-year-old Dutch-Iranian will launch a campaign on
Tuesday for Muslims to have the right to renounce their faith and find
support from peers, a view which has made him the victim of three
physical attacks.

Although similar initiatives have started elsewhere in Europe, Ehsan
Jami's group has stirred intense interest in the Netherlands, which
has one million Muslims, and has re-ignited the country's
highly-emotive Islam debate. "We have an enormous problem with
apostasy in Islam. We see a lot of problems where people want to leave
Islam but they can't," Jami said in an interview, while body guards
stood watch at the door.

"There are five sharia schools in Islam which say if you leave Islam
you must be killed," he said. Apostasy is punishable by death or
imprisonment in some Muslim countries and deplored throughout the
Islamic world.

His "Committee for Ex-Muslims" wants imams and Muslims to recognise
fellow Muslims' right to leave their faith, and to respect freedom of
religion. Jami's blunt criticism of Islam, which he likens to fascism
and Nazism, has offended many Dutch Muslims, and earned comparisons to
the rhetoric of Dutch anti-immigration politician Geert Wilders, whose
party holds 9 of 150 seats in parliament.

"People think I am a radical. They think I hate Muslims, but ... it is
the ideology which is the problem and not the people themselves."

News of an attack on Jami in August by suspected Islamists caused
outcry in the country, where a filmmaker critical of Islam was
murdered in an Amsterdam street three years ago and where several
high-profile lawmakers are guarded after death threats.

It also put issues of Islam, tolerance and integration uppermost in
peoples' minds after a period of unprecedented social tension in the
Netherlands looked to have eased.

On Monday a separate group of "Ex-Muslims" said they disagreed with
Jami's methods and he had only succeeded in polarising communities.

"We defend the right to be able to walk away from any religion,
including Islam. But they are using that right as a cover to
categorically insult Muslims and to stigmatise them as 'violent' and
'terrorists' ", said former Muslim Behnam Taebi in a statement.

Prominent Dutch imams have also taken issue with Jami's reading of the
Koran and invited him to hold talks.

Jami will launch his campaign alongside representatives of other
European ex-Muslim groups. Similar committees have been formed this
year in Britain, Germany and Sweden.

The murder in November 2004 of filmmaker Theo Van Gogh by a
Dutch-Moroccan Muslim militant and the work of former Dutch lawmaker
Ayaan Hirsi Ali had made the Dutch particularly alert among Europeans
to the dangers of intolerance in Islam, he said.

,,a month ago I heard on NPR that a guy (in US) was being charged because he had obtained work under a false name. He, it seems, had purposely left out "Muhammad" from his name to avoid showing himself as a muslim. I guess this was a non-brown convert, one who would not be suspected of being muslim if the rest of his his name was non-muslim sounding. Brown guys will have to bear suspicion of islam no matter what <!--emo&Sad--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Anyway, good sign that enlightenment is prevailing, however moderately...people want to hide their islamic ID... <!--emo&:bhappy--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/b_woot.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='b_woot.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Why India must export Islam?

Nitin Pai

While all politics is necessarily pursuit of power, ideologies render involvement in that contest for power psychologically and morally acceptable to the actors and their audience. (Ideologies) are either ultimate goals of political action… or... pretexts and false fronts behind which the element of power, inherent in all politics, is concealed. They may fulfil one or the other function, or they may fulfil both at the same time. The nation that dispensed with ideologies and frankly stated it wanted power would... find itself at a great and perhaps decisive disadvantage in the struggle for power.”
—Hans J. Morgenthau, Politics Among Nations
Morgenthau, the father of the modern Western Realist school of international relations, wrote this decades ago. Nazi Germany’s quest for lebensraum that set off World War II, and the West’s banner of “freedom” during the Cold War are in this sense similar to the contemporary Islamist agenda. Islam serves to cloak what would otherwise be a naked and thus untenable quest for power.
But who is seeking power? Osama bin Laden, Al Qaeda and its various manifestations? Well, yes. Behind all the religious rhetoric lies an ambition to grab control of Islamic states. But even if Laden and Al Qaeda were put out of commission tomorrow, the global threat from radical Islam is unlikely to disappear overnight. Because of those religious tenets? Not quite. Because of Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Iran and some others—the major states of the Islamic world. More exactly, their usurpation of religion in the struggle for geopolitical power.
It is no accident that some of the most dangerous terrorist outfits today are or used to be surrogates and proxies of Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Iran. Before 11 September 2001, these states overtly sponsored terrorist organizations to pursue their power games directly. After 9/11, many of them have, to varying degrees of success, turned against their own creations (while claiming it is the other way around).
This is not so much a rejection of the use of Islam in the pursuit of power, but rather, just a change in tactics. The majority, including Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Egypt, have calculated that being co-opted into the war on terror as enlightened moderates serves their purpose better than simply backing terrorists. A small minority, Iran is the principal one in this category, have calculated that confrontation offers better rewards. The decision to cooperate or confront depends both on their unique circumstances and the expected pay-offs.
The presence of Muslim minorities around the world provides the major Islamic states with unprecedented leverage. The greater part of these minorities is unlikely to respond to a call to terror. But it is quite likely to be riled by accounts of oppression of Muslims and outraged by insulting cartoons or demeaning remarks by the Pope. So it serves the interests of the major Islamic states to keep this “Islam under siege” narrative on the boil. Not only does this rally domestic support for their own autocratic regimes, but it also makes it incumbent upon the West to engage these regimes delicately. The latter gives these regimes far more international clout than they would otherwise command.
The threat from radical Islam is very unlikely to disappear soon because of Iran, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan
In a secular state such as India, there is little role for the state in matters of faith and religion. But the rise of a radical, intolerant version of Islam around the world is also not in its interests. Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Iran have no self-imposed restrictions on promoting their own Islamic values. It is unlikely that India can counter these exertions of soft power by promoting the virtues of secularism to the Islamic world. But it could promote its own syncretic Islamic tradition to offer an alternative narrative to the world’s Muslims. In any case, secularism as state policy is meaningful only in the domestic context. To insist Indian foreign policy must always be “secular” would be to miss a fundamental principle of international relations— states act to maximize their relative power using any means at their disposal. If India’s Islamic values allow it to “balance” Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Iran, it should do so.
So, is “Indian Islam” any different? Isn’t the violence of the Partition evidence to the contrary? For that matter, doesn’t the culpability of two upper middle-class Indian Muslims in a British terror plot prove that Indian Islam is not immune from radicalization? Not quite. More Muslims chose to stay on in India notwithstanding the communal bloodbath of Partition. As for the London-Glasgow plotters—the fact that Kafeel and Sabeel Ahmed had to harangue their friends and even the local mosque official in Bangalore suggests they were exceptions.
This is not to say there are no radical individuals and groups among India’s Muslims—there are, many have been involved in acts of terrorism and their numbers are growing. Nor is it to suggest that Indian Islam does not itself need reformation. Rather, that it is possible to distinguish among various strands of the Islamic religious tradition and strengthen those that can counter the more intolerant ones. Such a project will not be easy, but as one observer noted, “India is easily the best place to address the issue. Great powers solve giant problems. No other great power has both the incentive and the capability of solving this issue.”

The Islamist Fifth Column In America
<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->Yes, theirs is an ambitious plan. But the enemy lurking within is assiduous, patient and well-organized. We are only now starting to see its tentacles, thanks to a landmark federal terror-financing case under way in Dallas.

<b>News about the secret Islamist plot against the U.S. is starting to trickle out from the few media covering the trial against the Holy Land Foundation, the largest Muslim charity in America.</b>

It hasn't made the politically correct evening news yet. But the Associated Press has dared to quote from the chilling courtroom exhibits, and now the Dallas Morning News has weighed in with a lengthy feature story.

"Amid the mountain of evidence released in the trial, the most provocative has turned out to be a handful of previously classified evidence detailing Islamist extremists' ambitious plans for a U.S. takeover," the newspaper said.

"Terrorism researchers say the memos and audiotapes are proof that extremists have long sought to replace the Constitution with Sharia, or Islamic law."

<b>One secret document outlines an anti-American cabal by the major Muslim groups in America — all of which are considered "mainstream" and "moderate" by the media and many pols, but in fact are U.S. franchises of the Muslim Brotherhood, a worldwide jihadist movement that gave rise to Hamas and al-Qaida.</b>

The 1991 strategy paper for the Brotherhood, often referred to as the Ikhwan in Arabic, found in the Virginia home of an unindicted co-conspirator in the case, describes the group's long-term goal of destroying the U.S. system "from within" by using its freedoms and political processes against it.

"The Ikhwan must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and sabotaging its miserable house by the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God's religion is made victorious over all other religions," it states.

This process, it adds, requires a "mastery of the art of 'coalitions,' the art of 'absorption' and the principles of 'cooperation.' " In other words, deception.

Unindicted co-conspirators in the case include groups that make up the very core of the Muslim establishment in America, groups that have been invited into the halls of power in Washington.

The terror-supporting, anti-American Islamist network in the U.S. that conspires against its host still exists. With the possible exception of the Holy Land Foundation, it has not been dismantled.

Thhese previously classified documents produced in the case are smoking-gun proof that there are traitors in our midst.

We are at war with Islamic terrorists and extremists. Those who sympathize with them must be exposed just as we exposed those American agents who sympathized with the Nazis during WWII.

Other than the religious aspect, there is little difference now vs. then. The First Amendment may protect freedom of religion, but it does not protect sedition. The U.S. government must draw the line there in dealing with Islamism in America

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin--><b>Muslim doctor 'forced' patient to wear headscarf</b>

London, September 25: A Muslim dentist in Britain has allegedly humiliated a female patient by "forcing" her to wear an Islamic headscarf.
Dr Omer Butt, the brother of a self-confessed Islamic extremist, told the woman he wouldn't treat her if she didn't cover her head, the Daily Mail reported, quoting the unnamed patient's lawyer John Snell as saying.

The woman was in so much pain that she agreed to borrow a headscarf from an assistant at Butt's clinic in Bury but she stormed out of the surgery when the 31-year-old doctor quoted Islamic religious texts at her, Snell said.

The woman, who works as a government nurse, has lodged a complaint with the General Dental Council in Britain. "Butt told her she needed to wear appropriate Muslim dress and there ensued something of a dispute," Snell told the Council.

"During the course of this discussion, Patient A (the woman) asked Butt what would happen if she refused to wear a headscarf. It is her evidence that Butt said she could not be treated as an National Health Service patient if she refused," the lawyer told the panel.

However, Butt has refuted the allegations. In fact, following her complaint, he also wrote a letter to the Council praising 'Allah' and saying, "May Allah protect us all from the evils of Shaitan (Satan)," the daily claimed.

According to Council guidelines, Butt could be struck off if he is found guilty of serious professional misconduct.

The charges say that he undermined public confidence in his profession by "discriminating against a patient and failed to act in her best interests".

Why Muhammed was not a prophet:

One who claims to be a messenger of God is expected to live a saintly life. He must not be given to lust, he must not be a sexual pervert, and he must not be a rapist, a highway robber, a war criminal, a mass murderer or an assassin. One who claims to be a messenger of God must have a superior character. He must stand above the vices of the people of his time. Yet Muhammad's life is that of a gangster godfather. He raided merchant caravans, looted innocent people, massacred entire male populations and enslaved the women and children. He raped the women captured in war after killing their husbands and told his followers that it is okay to have sex with their captives and their "right hand possessions" (Quran 33:50) He assassinated those who criticized him and executed them when he came to power and became de facto despot of Arabia. Muhammad was bereft of human compassion. He was an obsessed man with his dreams of grandiosity and could not forgive those who stood in his way. Muhammad was a narcissist like Hitler, Saddam or Stalin. He was astute and knew how to manipulate people, but his emotional intelligence was less evolved than that of a 6-year-old child. He simply could not feel the pain of others. He brutally massacred thousands of innocent people and pillaged their wealth. His ambitions were big and as a narcissist he honestly believed he is entitled to do as he pleased and commit all sorts of crimes and his evil deeds are justified.

Why Quran is not from God:

Muhammad produced no miracles and when pressed he claimed that his miracle is the Quran. Yet a cursory look at the Quran reveals that this book is full of errors. Quran is replete with scientific heresies, historic blunders, mathematical mistakes, logical absurdities, grammatical errors and ethical fallacies. It is badly compiled and it contradicts itself. There is nothing intelligent in this book let alone miraculous. Muhammad challenged people to produce a "Surah like it" or find an error therein, yet Muslims would kill anyone who dares to criticize it. In such a climate of hypocrisy and violence truth is the first casualty. (more) (less)

<b>New evidence of Red, Islamist cooperation</b>

Posted: October 3, 2007

http://worldnetdaily.com/news/article.as...E_ID=57946

By Dr. Richard L. Benkin
In 1939, Nazi Germany and Communist Russia – mortal enemies – signed a non-aggression pact with each other. Though their ideologies were otherwise in conflict, they were united in their hatred of freedom and their determination to crush it. Last year, Joseph Farah's G2 Bulletin reported on a similarly deadly alliance forming in Asia. This time, communists are teaming up with Islamist radicals. In 2004, al-Qaida terrorists were on the run from U.S. forces that had dislodged them from their strongholds in Afghanistan. Over the next two years, Pakistani forces loyal to strongman Pervez Musharraf harassed them in their mountainous lairs in that country; but many (perhaps more) Pakistanis are loyal to the Islamists. So, friendly border guards got them safely out of Pakistan to terrorist-controlled sections of Kashmir – the territory hotly disputed between Pakistan and India. From there, they helped the terrorists through a sort of no-man's-land and into Nepal where they set up terror bases. What makes that interesting is the fact that Nepal is overwhelmingly Hindu and hardly a likely candidate as the next Taliban state. But Nepalese King Gyanendra had seized dictatorial powers in response to a decades-long and very bloody communist revolt. That made for social chaos and uncontrolled borders. Islamists in Pakistan's Nepalese Embassy engineered an agreement with the communists to help set up the terror bases.
The Islamists were not interested in Nepal, at least not for the moment. But they were very interested in the world's third-largest Muslim country, just down the road, Bangladesh. That country was ripe for the picking. Funded by Saudi and Kuwaiti "charities," Islamists had infiltrated virtually all of the country's social institutions and had been part of the government since 2001. Virtually all observers agreed that Islamists stood to make further gains in the upcoming January 2007 elections, perhaps enough to demand the Law Ministry and impose Shariah Law on the nation of almost 150 million. They almost pulled it off, but a military coup has stopped them for now. Their coalition partners, the Bangladesh National Party, or BNP, had so transparently rigged the pending elections that in one of the oddest turn of events in recent memory, every single western democracy publicly urged that elections not be held. The West also welcomed the military regime as the savior of Bangladeshi democracy.

The notoriously corrupt BNP fixed the elections to maintain the gravy train, but its Islamist partners had other ideas. They were using the BNP's phony voter lists to pad the electorate with their own supporters who were infiltrating Bangladesh from Nepal across its porous northwestern border. Former Bangladeshi Home Minister Lutfuzzaman Babar told me the BNP controlled its relationship with Islamists, using it to subdue Islamist activity. Later, Babar was furious when his erstwhile partners ignored his party's machinations, especially with regard to pro-U.S., pro-Israeli Muslim journalist Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury. At one point, according to Bangladesh sources, the Islamists teamed up with the BNP's political rivals and leftist trade unions to engineer riots against garment manufacturers. At another, according to Choudhury, they gave Osama bin Laden temporary haven in Bangladesh. Islamists have been quiet since the coup, but they remain ready to strike. Although the military government announced its intention to combat both them and the country's endemic corruption, it has moved only on the latter. In the meantime, Nepalese Maoists, on the outside looking in for decades have been rewarded with a place in Nepal's government. The alliance worked and has been replicated throughout the area. In India's West Bengal state, more victims are falling from this deadly alliance. Almost since Bangladesh's 1971 birth, Islamists have been using the country's Vested Property Act, or VPA, to rid the country of non-Muslims. The law allows the government to seize property belonging to non-Muslims and hand it over to Muslims of their choice, forcing the former (mostly Hindu) to flee the country. It is ethnic cleansing and nothing less. It is religious bigotry and oppression. Victims number into the tens of millions. Dr. Sachi Dastadar, who has studied this phenomenon for decades, <b>used the government's own figures and counted 1.3 to 3.3 million acres of Hindu land seized in the 1990s alone.</b> The victims have been subjected to murder, mutilation and ritualized gang rape, as well as the legalized thievery. At first, private gangs committed the atrocities, but later victims reported government officials and uniformed men led the attacks. With most VPA beneficiaries party members or other apparatchik, the very people who might overturn the law have the greatest stake in maintaining it. Thus, it was not surprising that the Bangladeshi ambassador to Washington, M. Humayun Kabir, said that the current government "had no plans to address the Vested Property Act during its tenure." And at present, the length of that tenure is indeterminate. Brutalized and penniless, the refugees fled to the world's largest Hindu country right next door. But the area bordering Bangladesh, West Bengal, has had a communist government since 1977 and offered no succor. Rigid atheists, the communists reject any bonds of faith in favor of their internationalist goals and have thrown their lot in with the Islamists. VPA victims have been put in camps then sent on forced marches when the government decided to seize the land. The West Bengal Stalinists refuse to recognize them as refugees or give them any legal standing, though many of them have been living there for decades. It also has turned a blind eye to cross-border attacks and further Muslim atrocities. Dr. Dastidar says the problem is as much political as moral. The victims are strongly anti-communist. Should they be granted citizenship, the Communists fear being voted out of power. On the other hand, he said, <b>"Many [West Bengal] state officials are Bangladeshis [but only] Islamist-approved Bangladeshis are given safe have in West Bengal." </b>None of the parties responsible for taking action are doing so. The national Indian government has adopted a rigorous hands-off policy toward West Bengal. The U.N. is equally rigorous in its silence and refuses to grant the victims refugee status, which would entitle them to both material and legal benefits. Misnomered "human rights" groups like Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch are silent as well, preferring to criticize democracies like the United States and Israel. So, earlier this year, one brave victim representing at least 1,000 families asked me to help, and I will be traveling to the region to gather additional evidence.
The 1939 Germany-Russia non-aggression pact, though ultimately broken by the parties, gave both the time they needed to prepare for the coming war in which tens of millions died. With almost a fourth of the world's population living in South Asia, we could be seeing its reprise on an even greater scale.

“A warrior relaxes and abandons himself; he fears nothing.Only then will the powers that guide human destiny open the road for a warrior and aid him. Only then….”

<b>Schools are dropping the Holocaust from history lessons to avoid offending Muslim pupils, a Governmentbacked study has revealed.

It found some teachers are reluctant to cover the atrocity for fear of upsetting students whose beliefs include Holocaust denial.</b>
(So holocaust denial is now a 'valid' belief? I suppose when islam and christoism are considered 'valid' beliefs, holocaust denial can't be far behind...
The above is predictable of a still-christian country: continued anti-Semitism is not a sign of dhimmitude, but the following is Dhimmitude of UK with capital D. After all, the Holocaust is another people's history, but the Crusades is part of the history of the English.)

<b>There is also resistance to tackling the 11th century Crusades - where Christians fought Muslim armies for control of Jerusalem - because lessons often contradict what is taught in local mosques.</b>
(Show's over. Islam has won in the UK, what remains is just the playing out thereof.)

The findings have prompted claims that some schools are using history 'as a vehicle for promoting political correctness'.

The study, funded by the Department for Education and Skills, looked into 'emotive and controversial' history teaching in primary and secondary schools.

It found some teachers are dropping courses covering the Holocaust at the earliest opportunity over fears Muslim pupils might express anti-Semitic and anti-Israel reactions in class.

The researchers gave the example of a secondary school in an unnamed northern city, which dropped the Holocaust as a subject for GCSE coursework.

The report said teachers feared confronting 'anti-Semitic sentiment and Holocaust denial among some Muslim pupils'.

It added: "In another department, the Holocaust was taught despite anti-Semitic sentiment among some pupils.

"But the same department deliberately avoided teaching the Crusades at Key Stage 3 (11- to 14-year-olds) because their balanced treatment of the topic would have challenged what was taught in some local mosques."

<b>A third school found itself 'strongly challenged by some Christian parents for their treatment of the Arab-Israeli conflict-and the history of the state of Israel that did not accord with the teachings of their denomination'.</b>
(Schools also bending to the will of christians, who won't stand their kids finding out that historically there was no Nazareth until way after alleged jeebus.)

The report concluded: "In particular settings, teachers of history are unwilling to challenge highly contentious or charged versions of history in which pupils are steeped at home, in their community or in a place of worship."

But Chris McGovern, history education adviser to the former Tory government, said: "History is not a vehicle for promoting political correctness. Children must have access to knowledge of these controversial subjects, whether palatable or unpalatable."

The researchers also warned that a lack of subject knowledge among teachers - particularly at primary level - was leading to history being taught in a 'shallow way leading to routine and superficial learning'.

Lessons in difficult topics were too often 'bland, simplistic and unproblematic' and bored pupils.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->Where are Wienerschnitzel, his gang and their Indian communist supporters now? Last week at the Hare Krishna Namahatta the reader of the "BG as it is" was reading the verses about religions being of 3 kinds (satvic,..). I can understand and accept that, but when he said that all religions are sent by God, I asked him how a religion that makes it obligatory on its followers to destroy idols, kill "infidels" etc can be God-given. Finally he agreed that some religions are man made.

A guy from the aduience was trying to apologize for Islam, saying how Mohd had mentioned different verses at different times etc. I gave examples of Mohd's life which made the audience nauseous, and they all fell silent.

By the way, the link Bodhi had posted last week (and I had reposted) is *the* best document to give to a confused person to read. It talks about what Dharm was, how it was destroyed, how it was perverted, standard tricks used by mulla-marxist-missionary etc. Large font size PDF with several parts in huge font size and lots of bold print too. Very ready to go, very easy to read, very well referenced, very conversational tone, simple language, with dictionary definitions of even moderately difficult words when needed (as in quotes from Lawd MaC)..

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin--><b>Fresh row over alleged Saudi role in UK mosques</b>
Nandini Jawli | London
London flays distribution of hate material

The controversial State visit of King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia prompted fresh criticism on Tuesday over his regime's alleged role in distributing hate literature in British mosques. As King Abdullah was receiving a ceremonial welcome from the Queen, Prime Minister Gordon Brown was urged to challenge the monarch about the literature when he meets him on Wednesday.

The Government is already under pressure to raise concerns that the regime is involved in torture and other human rights abuses. Britain's Foreign Office was even forced to rebut the Saudi King's claims that the Saudi authorities had provided information, which could have averted the July 7 attacks.

A senior British official quoted in the media insisted the Saudi tip-offs had been too vague to be 'actionable', and suggested that the Saudi monarch had merely been acting defensively. The UK's leading centre-right thinktank Policy Exchange has published a report after a lengthy investigation, which found extremist literature in a quarter of the 100 mosques and Islamic institutions it visited, including London Central Mosque, which is funded by Saudi Arabia.

<b>The authoritative new report entitled 'The Hijacking of British Islam: How extremist literature is subverting Britain's mosques', concluded- "Saudi Arabia is the ideological source of much of this sectarianism - and must be held to account for it."

The report called for a radical overhaul of Britain's relationship with Saudi Arabia, which it argued has a "powerful and malign" influence over British Islam and sponsored the export of fundamentalist Islamic doctrine. The Policy Exchange director Anthony Browne said it was 'clearly intolerable', that hate literature was being 'peddled' at British mosques. He said, "The fact that the Saudi regime is producing extremist propaganda and targeting it at British Muslims must also be challenged by our own Government".</b>

Researchers from the thinktank spent more than a year visiting Muslim religious institutions across the country, and found extremist material was available, openly or 'under the table', in around 25. They found controversial works during visits to mosques in Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Oxford and High Wycombe.

<b>Some of the literature advocated violent jihad, murdering gay people and stoning adulterers. According to the investigation, most of the material is produced by agencies closely linked to the Saudi regime. The documents include a call for 'jihad against tyrants and oppressors', which was 'best done through force if possible'. Some of the publications called on British Muslims to segregate themselves from non-Muslims, and condoned the beheadings.</b>

(And islamic apologeticsSmile
<b>Inayat Bunglawala, of the Muslim Council of Britain said, "Bookshops sell a variety of publications and we live in an open, democratic society where it is not illegal to sell books which contain anti-western views."</b><!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->So being truly communal and stoking violence is okay as long as islamis do it, but it's racism when Europeans say "<i>muslim</i> terrorists..." with respect to islamoterrorist attacks, and it's 'fascism' when Hindus say anything factual about Indian islam.

<b>Haj fatwa splits clerics</b><!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->Lucknow, Nov. 4: The Dar-ul Uloom fatwa banning ostentatious ceremonies for Haj pilgrims has evoked mixed reactions from scholars and clerics.

<b>“It is against the Shariat and unIslamic to organise big community dinners and lunches on the occasion of the departure and arrival of Haj pilgrims,” the Islamic seminary in Deoband, near Muzaffarnagar, said in its Friday edict.

Issued by the seminary’s fatwa department comprising Habibur Rehman and Mehmood, the diktat said the events had remained unchallenged by ordinary Muslims but were “unlawful and unIslamic”. The fatwa urged Muslims to keep the pilgrimage, which begins this year on December 18, a “simple and low-key affair”.</b>

The objective behind clamping the curbs was to keep politics out of the pilgrimage, which often begins with lavish dinners and lunches organised by politicians. The pilgrims are generally put up at Haj houses, which are temporary lodging facilities set up near airports.

Zafaryab Gilani, the convener of the Babri Masjid Action Committee and a member of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board, said the fatwa didn’t seek to impose a ban but only tried to remind ordinary Muslims that “irritatingly grand shows” should be discarded.

“Simplicity is the hallmark of Islam. All programmes are meant to be free of extravagance. So should the farewell programme for Haj pilgrims,” he said. Gilani echoed the seminary’s view that politicians tried to exploit the pilgrims by hosting “grand” receptions.

Many clerics felt ministers and leaders took “extraordinary care” of the pilgrims to extract political mileage.

<b>A majority of Sunni scholars believed that the “state of Ihram” (ritual of sacredness and austerity) during Haj required pilgrims to stay away from any form of pomposity.</b>

Although ordinary Muslims saw nothing wrong in the custom, some social workers of the community wondered if the shows of generosity were “just and proper” in a religion that frowned on pomp and show.

One of them, Mohammad Siddique, wrote to the seminary last week, sending a list of questions and seeking a fatwa. The curbs were clamped within days of his letter.

A teacher at the Lucknow seminary backed the curbs, saying there was no room for the lavish ceremonies. “Male pilgrims wear only two white sheets of cotton so that all, rich or poor, look alike. Women are advised to wear simple clothes and avoid cosmetics. Pilgrims are urged to abstain from sexual relations. In all this, there is no place for sumptuous food and grand programmes.”

But some questioned the curbs. Shia educationist and social reformer A.S. Asghar said the receptions couldn’t be called “unIslamic”.<b> “Where in the Quran has it been written that Haj receptions are illegal? Instead, it is the order of Allah to honour those who undertake the journey to Mecca.”</b>

<b>He pointed out that since all Muslims could not make the holy trip, those who organised the reception and farewell ceremonies could become “part of the pilgrimage”.</b>

Ali Sina's FAQ on Islam. Brother minces no words in describing the "madman of Arabia" and "the falsest religion".

He is Iranian-centered, though, and he says Iran could have achieved enlightenment 400 years before Europe did if Islam had not destroyed Iran. I agree. But India would have brought enlightenment to the world 1000 yrs before Europe did. Actually India was in the process. (Can't blame Ali for his Iran-centeredness though. It is his mother country).

Anyway, his refutation of his ex-religion (religion-of-peace) is a resistance-de-piece!

Very good read..why and how a guy converted to Islam and why he left..pasting just a small part of the testimony (which I found very funny)

Instead of praying to God alone, we Muslims were submitting to the automatic prayers constituted by mere men. During worship in jamaa’ah (congregation), especially for ‘Eid or Jumu’ah salaat, you had to prostrate behind men. This position gave one a view of the carpet below, the masculine buttocks of the worshipper in front, or the holes in his socks. For any heterosexual revert, this was an uncomfortable predicament. Truthfully said, for this reason is why brothers came early to reserve a spot in the front row

..and this

Damn! A Saudi man can murder his daughters, and the law cannot do anything to him! Saudi women have their father's pic on their ID cards, not their own.

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin--><span style='color:red'>Man marries daughter, claims divine sanction</span>

Ali and Sakina with their daughter (right), who is pregnant with her father's child (TOI Photo)

JALPAIGURI: A 36-year-old man who married his teenage daughter, apparently after convincing his wife that he was carrying out divine instructions, kept the event under wraps for more than six months. Until, his 15-year-old daughter began showing signs of pregnancy.

Villagers of Kasiajhora found out about Afazuddin Ali's wedding when one of them found the girl showing pregnancy's swelling signs.

The sordid drama of what happened, however, unfolded on Monday when Ali was produced in court. When Ali, a daily labourer who has three daughters and two sons moved to marry his eldest girl child, his wife naturally was aghast and protested madly. To placate Sakina, he told her he was only carrying out Allah's instructions and the family would be rewarded. The poor, illiterate woman saw no reason to doubt her husband's heinous act.

"He is a religious person and will never lie taking Allah's name," she said on Monday. It still wasn't clear whether the 'wedding' was conducted by a qazi who had been paid off. The family had kept the unholy wedlock under wraps until the girl's pregnancy became obvious.

They tried to prevent her from leaving home during the day, but after all she was just another 15 year old. A few days back, a village woman saw her and the news spread like wildfire. Soon there were mobs knocking on Ali's doors.
On Sunday, when Ali was finally confronted, he confessed. But cops arrived just in time to avoid the mobs unleashing their fury on him.

Ali, who looked nervous when police brought him to the court, was seen strutting around after being released. "I haven't done anything wrong. Isn't it clear from the judgment?" he said. Yet, he decided it wouldn't be prudent to return to his village.

Faithful is faithfully following his prophet, only just a little bit differently. After all, Hazrat Muhammad (mahatma muhammad in Rahul Sankrityayan's terms) married his daughter in law who was also daughter of his fathers sister, from similar divine inspirations. Why are the people and police etc harassing the poor faithful? Let him live in peace that is Islam.
