<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->A Democratic Party rules committee has the authority to seat some delegates from Michigan and Florida but not fully restore the two states as Hillary Rodham Clinton wants, according to party lawyers.

<b>Democratic National Committee rules require that the two states lose at least half of their convention delegates for holding elections too early, the party's legal experts wrote in a 38-page memo.</b>
.....
if Florida delegates are seated in their entirety, but only have their vote counted as a .5, then <b>Clinton will net approximately 19 delegates out of the state. But if the delegation is cut in half, that's done in every congressional district as well as statewide, then suddenly Clinton's advantage is only a net of six</b>

whether Clinton nets 6, 19 or the full 38 FL delegates  she hopes to get out of Saturday's meeting, she still won't catch Obama in the overall delegate count. <b>As DemConWatch's handy chart demonstrates, even with FL & MI fully counted, Obama still leads Clinton by more than 100. </b>

There's also a Gore Unity dinner on Sat. It'll be all over soon - latest by next week (Puerto Rico on Tue?)

Hardly a week goes by without seeing MO Senator McCaskill batting for Barak on TV. She could be his press secretary, not many can keep a straight face like she does.

Not yet, watch next few days.
Tomorrow is a rule meeting; they will try to delay the ruling or suppression of votes. PR voting on 1st it means our 31st. Ricky Martin had endorse Hillary. On 3rd SD and MO is going for voting. BHO campaign is already warning supporters to expect violence in DC.

Yesterday Carville had shown disgust towards BHO.
Fight will go to convention. Now this fight is between Far-left(Marxist) and Centrist force. Currently, Marxist group is with money and University campus.

Other concerns -
BHO fans had desecrated Police memorial in Portland during rally. Not going well with Police force.
Koreans in LA are thinking to get armed according to blogs. Same may go for other cities.

Let’s see how it goes. One thing for sure as of today BHO will lose GE hands down.
This election will be extraordinary with lot of forces in action.
I really hope Marxist force lose. One person, Soros is able to make so much difference in US politcs and later rest of world.

If you notice, hardly any of the prominent democrats from swing states are supporting Clinton, Sen. McCaskill is only one of the Obama supporters, then there is Gov. Sebelius from KS, Gov. Napoletano from AZ, Gov. Kaine from VA, Gov. Richardson from NM etc. They know that Clinton at the top of the ticket is a disaster for those down the democratic ticket.

Most of these states are red states voted for Bush where Obama is very competitive (except AZ).

I think you are being paranoid. I know lot of ordinary republicans supporting the "Marxist" Obama. When more skeletons are unearthed from Bush's closet by people like McClellan republicans are really going to think hard (not to forget the senility of McCain who is confused about facts like 140,000 < 130,000 according to McCain's bizzaro Math)

Just curious, how can many Indians who remember Mrs. Gandhi can support HRC ? Indira Gandhi had more experience in politics than HRC. Peggy Noonan had recently written an article in WSJ mocking Hillary by comparing HRC against Gola Meir, Thatcher and Indira Gandhi.

Meanwhile former President Clinton is really acting like the loser that he is by blaming people with "college degree"

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/050...Page2.html
<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->Clinton asked the crowd to remember “every time you turn on the television and you listen to one of those people dissin’ her, <b>they all have a college degree. They’ve all got a good job. They all got health care</b>. And they’re having no trouble fillin’ up their gas tank.”
<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Clinton has been most detrimental to democratic party in the last 16 years. I lost interest in this guy when he started defining "is".

So if you work hard and get an education, there is less chance they are going to fall for the nonsense from Clintons!!!

More gems from Clinton's mouth
<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->“It began to backfire on them in the <b>states where people get it</b>,” he said. “I think it actually helped her run up numbers in <b>Kentucky and West Virginia</b> because people were tired of turning on the TV e
<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Indeed!! KY and WV are the two states where people "get it". Two states with the lowest education attainment and household income!!

It seems racists are the people who get "it" according to Clinton. Bill will claim it depends on how you define "it" <!--emo&Big Grin--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

There was an analysis in realclearpolitics which showed in West coast, Obama outpolled Clinton among white male population by 2-to-1 and there was another graph that showed the direct correlation between income/education and % of votes obtained by Obama.

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/horserace...oalition_1.html
<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin--><b>In the Mountain West and the Pacific West - Obama won the white male vote. In fact, the only state in the region where Clinton won the white male vote outright was Nevada</b>.Her wins in Arizona, New Mexico, and California were provided by white females and Hispanics, not white males.

Obama is probably winning upscale white males; Clinton is probably winning downscale white males. <b>This, I think, accounts for his victories among white males in places like Oregon, California, Wisconsin, Texas, Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, and Georgia. Each state has sizable populations of upscale whites</b> - and I think that these are the types of white males Obama is winning. Meanwhile, <b>Clinton does better with white males </b> in places like Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, etc. - <b>all of which have significant populations of downscale white males inclined to see themselves as Democrats</b>

Both the income and college variables are related to Obama's share of the white male vote. Combined, they account for 40% of the variation in Obama's share of the white male vote. From this, we can infer that socioeconomic status makes a difference with the white male vote. <b>The wealthier and more educated the population, the better Obama does among white males.</b>
<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

My two cents - most educated, upscale mid-western state is Minnesota and it went to Obama in a big way (almost 2-to-1 statewide). Minnesota is a state with republican governor and senator and once elected an independent for Governor, so hardly a state with a sheep-like mentality.

Let us not forget, Clinton's "centrist" policies in the 90s were actually not beneficial to the blue-collar workers (manufacturing jobs left US in droves as a result of his free-trade/NAFTA policies).

Obama is bringing new constituencies to democratic party and that is why the party leadership/super delegates will continue to back Obama. They are tired of the DLC fraud perpetrated by Clinton/Lieberman etc. Gore, Edwards etc. have distanced themselves from the DLC. People know that future of US doesn't rest in "rust belt" states like OH, PA, WV, KY where the population is dwindling (OH and PA lost at least a couple of electoral votes that moved toward states like CO which shows how the power is shifting away from these states)

I think RNC will try to delay it, they are buying time. Marxist agenda is very strong. Dean National Communist Party should be new name.
They claim to be Democratic Party but they themselves practice otherwise.
Rise of communism with money is bad.

<b>List of main issue came out during this primary season -</b>
<b>Black Liberation theology heavily influenced by Marxism of South America.
Marxism with violence
Black racism
White racism
Sexism
Voter fraud
Intimidation
Role of Black Church</b>

Rest of world should watch how things will change in US. There is no difference between US Marxism and Indian or European. Looks like global Marxist are joining hands.

McCain is best bet. I hope he picks Right guy for VP job.
GOP and 527 are ready to railroad DNC and Democratic nominee.

One of my old nieghbors in Kerala is a hardcore communist worker. Recently I happened to see his relative online. It seem this person is flying to various places such as Brazil to attend conferences and other things. Looks like something is seriously going on among world leftists.

Yes, all marxist movements all over globe are now well funded and working together. Venezula, Soros etc are using US.
Just check their movement all over world, check all conference in last 3-4 years. There is sudden spike. As usual they target Universities.
If you check media here, Dailyklos, Huffington, politico, NBC/MSNBC, you will get idea.

Meanwhile, another "marxist" is coming out for Obama - Snator Chuck Hagel's wife

http://www.newsweek.com/id/139106
<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->But at least during the presidential primary, Hagel's wife, Lilibet, is helping McCain's likely Democratic rival, Barack Obama.

According to Federal Election Commission records, <b>Mrs. Hagel donated twice to Obama's camaign in February for a total contribution of $500</b>. The contributions were first reported by the Washington Post

Finally a question - is this a forum for real discussion or propaganda (I am wondering why my posts were deleted)?

Because in conjuring up imaginary enemies, you are acting no different than the marxists (censorship) whom you loathe so much

I thought Hillary Clinton was responsible for all this. So I was told all these days by my favorite left leaning blogs - HuffPo and DailyKos.

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->Gov. Dean managed to win democrats the majority in house and senate with his 50 state strategy - the majority that was squandered by Bill and Hillary in 1994 with hillary's disastrous healthcare plan
<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
What was disastrous about Hillary's healthcare plan? That the State Children's healthcare program was bad? '97 bill of getting kids from foster home to adoption was disastrous? That she took on a right cause though not popular at that time and now given the state of mess very Tom Dick and Obama has a opinion on Healthcare?

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->Two states with the lowest education attainment and household income!!
<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Nice try. Try this logic with MA where both Senators Teddy pappa and Kerry along with lend-notesto-Barak-Governor endorsed BO. And it's the state with the highest number of colleges per square mile - if I'm not mistaken.

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->Let us not forget, Clinton's "centrist" policies in the 90s were actually not beneficial to the blue-collar workers (manufacturing jobs left US in droves as a result of his free-trade/NAFTA policies).<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

All these Obama supporters today were then plugging NAFTA in 90s. Remember Gore debating Perot on CNN on this? And you seriously believe that this will change after Obama is elected? Or is it just the kool-aid of Hope speaking? Barak's team was having back door meets with Canadian diplomats on this while he advocated something else in OH. Or did you miss this?

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->They are tired of the DLC fraud perpetrated by Clinton/Lieberman etc. Gore, Edwards etc. have distanced themselves from the DLC.
<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Doesn't make sense. Gore sat with Clinton in WH. And what fraud did Clinton perpetrate?

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->Obama is bringing new constituencies to democratic party
<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
For that he deserves credit. He's probabily a good man though light on experience. Though his most vocal supporters online or on TV no different that from right wing neo con nut house - they'll say anything or do anything to push his candidacy.

Some Saturday late afternoon research.
Take the electoral college used in general elections. Template here.
Allocate each state to either Barak or Hillary.
Get:
Barak at 224
<b>Hillary at 264</b> (mind you 270 is magic number)
Not counted 50 (which is FL, MI and 3 states yet to vote next week)
Virenji,
I don't think you can claim SCHIP or universal healthcare as Hillary's ideas (that would be like Gore taking credit for inventing internet). Universal Healthcare has been a democratic party principle for a long time. Ted Kennedy probably deserves far more credit on these domestic policy issues than Hillary or Bill

Hillary went wrong with the implementation part in '94 and it helped to create backlash against democrats and that in turn caused them to lose house and senate. Bill with all his centrist policies was never able to reclaim the majority until Dean came along with his 50-state strategy in '06. Hillary has consistently shown poor judgement - whether it is health care in '94 or Iraq in '03.

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->Remember Gore debating Perot on CNN on this? And you seriously believe that this will change after Obama is elected?
<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
I think democrats will have to do something about NAFTA/other free trade agreements if they are elected. On Obama advisor meeting with the canadians - wasn't he removed from the campaign ?

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->Gore sat with Clinton in WH.
<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
If you go by what Hillary is proclaiming these days, she was the VP. I don't think Clinton and Gore were on speaking terms while Gore was running for office

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->He's probabily a good man though light on experience
<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Lincoln was not very experienced when he ran for president, he was a single-term congressman from IL. Storm Thurmond probably had 50 years of experience in senate, but nobody would have picked him for president

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->And it's the state with the highest number of colleges per square mile - if I'm not mistaken.
<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
I think you are missing the point. Even in MA, college educated democrats were voting for Obama and he didn't lose MA by 40 points (unlike WV or KY where the electorate was less educated). Obama ran even with Clinton in MA among men and those with a college degree. But Clinton had a 2-to-1 advantage among women and people with no college degree. If you look at the analysis that I posted, it is even more pronounced as you move towards west coast

Otherwise why do you think Clinton was fuming against "people with college degrees" ? Ironically it is those people with college degrees that did well during clinton era compared to the blue-collar workers supporting Hillary
