- Saturnalia over:

Quote:The very important 7 day Roman festival of Saturnalia, held from the 17th to 24th December, was in honour of Saturn, their vegetation God.

- Then 25 December, Dies Natalis Dei Solis Invicti over (birthday of Sol, the Roman Sun God).

- For all those who celebrate it, then: Happy Roman New Year!

For me though (for Hindus in TN), today is tiruvadirai, aarudra darshanam. It's when Shiva got rid off andakaasuran. Woohoo.

Bro,

Contratulations on this auspicious occassion.

Sorry, for not knowing whether to say "Happy tiruvadirai, aarudra darshanam" or "Happy tiruvadirai".

went to this site http://www.shaivam.org/siddhanta/fesaadhi.html to understand better. This left me even more confused. Indian languages in foreign scripts seem like a bigger challenge then Chenee missiles in Paki pants.

Anyways, Congratulations to your whole family.
