Nexus Between Entities Influencing India
http://news.rediff.com/special/2009/aug/20...-to-the-rss.htm
<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin--><b>Bombay Dyeing  Chairman Nusli Wadia, Jinnah's only grandson, is close to senior BJP leaders including L K Advani and Jaswant Singh.</b> Political parties nurture many conspiracies, but before such wild allegations could come to light, the party has sacked him in an ugly manner. His closeness to Wadia -- who was engaged in bitter business rivalry with Dhirubhai Ambani [ Images ] during most of the 1980s -- was reportedly one of the lesser-known reasons that put pressure on the Cabinet formation of the Vajpayee government in 1999.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

So is that Congress High Command got YSR killed (probably with the help of RAW or any Congress sponsored thugs) because he was helping Karnataka BJP govt?

I was very suspicious of Congress' role in the death of South Indian actress Soundarya while campaigning for BJP in 2004.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soundarya
(Soundarya died on April 17, 2004 in an airplane crash near Bangalore when the four-seater plane Cessna 180 caught fire immediately after take-off. She was on her way to Andhra Pradesh to campaign for Bharatiya Janata Party for the elections. Her brother, Amarnath, a producer of Kannada films, also died in the accident.)

She was like Madhuri Dixit of South India. It was as if every young man wanted a wife like her and every old man wanted a daughter & daughter-in-law like her. She could have really given BJP a jumpstart in south India.

How about the DRDO's IGMP? How come its so late and doesn't deliver what it was chartered to do? Gen Sunderji's MND was based on reliable fission weapons on reliable long range delivery vehicles. If you read "Wings of Fire" there is no mention of why the Agni series was ever developed. its mentioned as a Re-entry Experiment(REX) !

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin--><b>8. Nargis - A Nehru?</b>
______________________ Tryst with Edwina

This is what happens with one family ruling the nation for about 40 years, 33 out of which delivers no Cable Television to the masses. Unverifiable rumors on the family starts spreading. If Indira was the 'iron-lady' who could even got her son killed, Nehru - her father - was apparently chasing skirts. Numerous ladies were linked with the Kashmiri handsome pandit - Edwina Mountbatten (whose husband's ability to swing both ways earned him the title - MountBottom), Padmaja Naidu (Sarojini's daughter; apparently had a good taste for porn), Mridula Sarabhai (sister of 'Dad of Indian Space Program' Vikram Sarabhai whom Mrinalini married; Mallika is daughter of Vikram and Mrinalini) and, outside numerous notables, a certain "Shraddha Mata". In the book long banned by GOI, Nehru's secretary writes (pp 206) -

<i>In the autumn of 1948 a young woman from Benares arrived in New Delhi as a sanyasin named Shraddha Mata. She was a Sanskrit scholar well versed in the ancient Indian scriptures and mythology. People, including MPs, thronged to her to hear her discourses. One day S. D. Upadhyaya, Nehru's old employee, brought a letter in Hindi from Shraddha Mata. Nehru gave her an interview in the PM's house. As she departed, I noticed that she was young, shapely and beautiful. Meetings with her became rather frequent, mostly after Nehru finished his work at night. During one of Nehru's visits to Lucknow, Shraddha Mata turned up there, and Upadhyaya brought a letter from her as usual. Nehru sent her the reply; and she visited Nehru at midnight.

Suddenly Shraddha Mata disappeared. In November 1949 a convent in Bangalore sent a decent looking person to Delhi with a bundle of letters. He said that a young woman from northern India arrived at the convent a few months ago and gave birth to a baby boy. She refused to divulge her name or give any particulars about herself. She left the convent as soon as she was well enough to move out but left the child behind. She however forgot to take with her a small cloth bundle in which, among other things, several letters in Hindi were found. The Mother Superior, who was a foreigner, had the letters examined, and was told they were from the Prime Minister. The person who brought the letters surrendered them. I made discreet inquiries repeatedly about the boy but failed to get a clue about his whereabouts. Convents in such matters are extremely tightlipped and secretive. Had I succeeded in locating the boy, I would have adopted him. He must have grown up as a Catholic Christian blissfully ignorant of who his father was.</i>

The digression above was just a backdrop. Jawaharlal's father Motilal Nehru is rumored to have fathered Jaddanbai - daughter of Allahabad's most famous kothewali Daleepabai. Later, an orthodox brahmin who was supposed to go to England for studies aborted his trips as he fell in love with Jaddanbai's immaculate beauty and even married her much against his family's wishes. Nargis is the first born of this couple!

Immediately after she came back to power in 1980, Indira Gandhi nominated Nargis Dutt for a Rajya Sabha (upper house) membership.

Verdict: Probably true. No one is taking the DNA test yet. Beats every novel you've read, every soap you've usually missed. A part of the family goes to run the country from Delhi, another part aims to do so from Bombay. No member from any of these (extended) families is short of epic drama, not even Kumar Gaurav!<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

<b>Check Chief justice of India</b>
Why limiting to Paul Dhinakaran only? Has anyone checked the antecedents of Supreme Court Chief Justice Balakrishnan; I strongly doubt that he is fooling us like the man from his same place late K R Narayanan, ex-President of India ditched the Hindu community by retaining the name of our favourite Lord Krishnaand doing everything anti-Dharma. There is another judge in Kerala High Court named Surendra Mohan . Does anyone know that his churchian parents named him Surendra Mohan to hoodwink the gullible public? When are we Hindus learning to distinguish these sheeps in wolves' clothings? <!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

I would like experts to consider this.

N. Ram rose to limelight only after the Bofors scandal. The whole thing was spearheaded by N Ram. that resulted in the fall of Rajiv Gandhi.

Bodhji, N Ram was a bystander hogging media, the real scoop was done by his associate Chitra something (need to google this). She left his company on not so amicable terms if I'm not mistaken. Must have seen the 'naxal' in that N.
I am just going reading this interesting thread and found the above two posts. N.Ram spearheading the whole thing or Chitra Subrahmanium spearheading the whole thing is also not true. I used to keenly read every article those days related to Bofors. Here is the chronology:

1) Sweedish radio first reproted about middlemen and did not name the middlemen

2) Indian Express with main editor Suman Dubey and Dy.Editor Arun Shourie carried the news of roadio report. Suman Dubey is the buddy of RG and Arun Shourie is leading the investigative journalism.

3) Win Chadda as the middleman was first reported with photograph in IE by Arun Shourie

4) Parliament was stalled and they announced a Joint Parliamentary commission. Alladi Aruna (AIADMK) was memeber. When the JPC was announced MGR was alive and they are partners in TN. But by the time report cameout MGR died and INC and ADMK fell out. Alladi Aruna dissented in JPC and that became an issue in the coverup.

5) Suman Dubey resigned from IE and Arun Shourie became the Chief Editer in IE

6) A lot has already flowed through regarding Bofors and Rajiv is already in water.

7) Chitra Subrahmanium and N.Ram got interest in this Bofors. IE is already under severe Foriegn Exchange restrictions to investigate further in Bofors issues.

8) Chitra got the photo copies of Ardbo (Bofors chairman) diaries. Information about these diaries are published just before elections.VP singh was in full flow.

9) Fight erupts between borthers of "The Hindu". N.kasturi did not want to take panga with government where as N.Ram wanted to. There was no news paper for a week.

10) IE published the Chitra's explosive Ardbo diaries.

11) The fight settles, N.Kasturi takes "The Hindu" and N.Ram takes Frontline in the property division

...

...

However, the perception that N.Ram and Chitra are the real reasons behind expose never gone. It was all by Arun Shourie and IE in reality. I just wanted to bring to light the reality and not perception that 90% think so.

During the sametime there are several other investigative exposes were done by Arun Shourie. Several corruption cases including BCCI were exposed by Arun Shourie. I was never sure that he will be alive this far.

I say any capitalistic force can conquer India in matter of seconds by just influencing our political system. We as a social setup has got lot to do, from all spheres to have a robust setup in place that is driven by policy driven approaches right from which policy to choose by vote, rather which politician to elect to decide our fate.

The faster we delink our policy matters from politicians (who should be nothing more than a scape goat between the policy and the people - like a mod/admin).. the faster we could be in a situation where do not have worry about external influences.

This would also increase national integration and patriotism.

Catholicism.

Nutters who obviously believe in papal infallibility and bow down to His Papal Nauseousness have infiltrated and elected themselves the sole voice of all Hindus (who remain silent because they don't understand English), declaring for Hindus - when these never even invited them to speak for Hindus - that Hindus are "non-idolatrous monotheists". By the way, "non-idolatrous monotheists" is the definition for christianism. In short, the Arch-Terrorism has forcibly taken over the sleeping Hindu body and ventriloquized that Hindus are christian sheep and thus subject to the biblical gawd's wrath and its other ill humours/vapours.

Catholicism is scarier than the non-existent lucifer it's always trying to spook christokids with.

Or Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious

The second Hindu Spiritual and Service fair concluded in Chennai on 28 December 2009. The fair brought together Hindu religious (Hindu dharma, unlike Abrahamic religions does not make a distinction between religion and spirituality) and service organizations, providing them a unique opportunity to get acquainted with each other’s work and also to share experiences.

From all accounts, the fair was well-organized and attracted thousands of visitors, including a smattering of curious Christians and Muslims. Participants included the Tirumala-Tirupathi Devasthanam, Shri Pejawara Matha from Karnataka, Sri Kanchi Matham, Sri Ramakrishna Matham, Sri Ramanashramam, Swami Dayananda Saraswati’s Arshavidya Gurukulam, Sri Sri’s Art of Living and another ashram promoting something called Science of Living, Mata Amritanandamayi Ashram, Hindu Mission Hospital, RSS’ Sewa Bharati, and Rashtra Sevika Samiti.

This is an extraordinary initiative aimed at bringing together both well-known and little-known Hindu religious, cultural and service organizations together to display their wares. One important objective of this fair is to enable public-spirited Hindus to choose an organization which suits them best and begin to give time and other resources for the common cause; so far so good.

There is however, a lesser-known dimension to the Hindu Spiritual and Service Fair. The fair is only the arrow. The bow behind the scenes is the Global Foundation for Civilizational Harmony or GFCH (http://www.gfchindia.com/) which, from whatever one can glean from its website, takes Hindu intellectual vacuity to new and rarified heights.

It is also Level II of the Vatican initiative, inter-faith dialogue, which the Hindu components of the GFCH not only welcome with great gusto, but also get conned into signing self-defeating anti-Hindu declarations and resolutions. Like its more famous synonym supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, the GFCH too can be broken into parts and its meaning mirthfully explained. The GFCH website is a masterpiece of dense self-descriptive prose; it challenges us to zero in on the core. What better way to camouflage its real intent than by cloaking it in verbosity?

Mission –

- To build a global civilization mosaic of peace, harmony and mutual enrichment

Objectives –

- To highlight the contributions of major civilizations

- To build the global society while preserving all civilization, cultural and religious identities (this is like promising the slice of cheese will not melt in the melting pot)

- To effectively engage and build moral, intellectual, ideological and political pressures to induce everyone to adhere to a non-conflicting and accommodative course

There is lot more in the same vein, but this was breathtaking in itself. Even before it has embarked on its mission to build a global society (whatever that means), GFCH already claims to be a global foundation, though it is not clear what contributes to its global status or how it will go about building this “global civilization mosaic of peace, harmony” and all that with the Vatican, National Council of Churches, Al Qaeda, Al Umma, US State Department, Teesta Setalvad, John Dayal, and the Deoband mullahs panting at my heels and baying for my blood; which makes the writer suspect that grandiose declarations to build a-global-this and a-global-that may not really be what these people intend. Needless to say, the very construct ‘global’ is Abrahamic in origin and connotes conquest, political, religious or economic. “Global” is also the very anti-thesis of ‘swadeshi’.

The clue to their intent lies in the names of their Founder-Patrons, Patron, Trustees, Academic Council and Secretariat; except for the Founder-Patrons of GFCH all others are Shri LK Advani’s men. While some of the Founder-Patrons, with the active collaboration of some of the trustees have fabricated the GFCH out of thin air, the rest would have been prevailed upon to lend their names to an initiative in which they did not see any harm even if they did not see anything concrete emerging from out of it. The Muslim and Christian components have no need for a mixed-religious platform, but end up being the sole beneficiaries of all such foolish Hindu initiatives.

Swami Dayananda Saraswati, Baba Ramdev, Sri Sri Ravishankar and Mata Amritanandamayi are the Hindu Founder-Patrons of this wondrous creature. While some of them have grave reservations about describing themselves or their wares (Yoga and Sudarshan Kriya) as Hindu, some others have reservations about describing themselves as Hindu religious leaders; they prefer the more saleable and non-definitive ‘spiritual’ tag. The stated objectives of GFCH are grandiose and totally at variance with their actions.

Swami Dayananda Saraswati, who received his deeksha from Pujya Swami Chinmayananda of revered memory, was inexplicably made Convener of the Hindu Dharmacharya Sabha, a forum comprising all traditional mathams, adeenams and mandaleswars who belong to lineages at least a 150 years old or even older.

The Hindu Dharmacharya Sabha website carries the report drafted and signed by Brahmacharini Dr. Vrinda Chaitanya on behalf of Swami Dayananda Saraswati, Convener, Hindu Dharmacharya Sabha, of a meeting held in Lariano, Italy, in May 2006 on religious conversion.

According to the report, 3 Hindus were invited to be present at this Vatican-organized inter-faith dialogue on religious conversion. Unless otherwise stated or denied, because this meeting has been reported in the HDAS website (http://www.acharyasabha.org/), we have to assume that the Hindu Dharmacharya Sabha participated in this Vatican meeting. And because there is a lack of transparency, we do not know which individuals spoke on behalf of the Hindus; this is important for us to know to understand why the creation of this new forum GFCH is a matter of concern.

At the Vatican meeting in 2006, titled Conversion: Assessing the Reality and hosted by the Pontifical Council for Inter-Religious Dialogue, Vatican City, and the Office on Inter-religious Relations and Dialogue of the World Council of Churches, Geneva, the Hindus participating in the meeting have allowed The Concluding Reflections and Recommendations to declare, inter alia, that –

- Freedom of religion to mean “freedom to propagate the teachings of one’s faith to people of one’s own and other faiths, and also the freedom to embrace another faith out of one’s own free choice”

- “We acknowledge that errors have been perpetrated and injustice committed by the adherents of every faith”

(We have thus allowed the Vatican and World Council of Churches to equate Hindu dharma with the murderous and genocidal Abrahamic religions which have wiped out entire nations, religions and cultures from the face of the earth as they expanded across the globe)

- “A particular reform that we would commend to practitioners and establishments of all faiths is to ensure that conversion by ‘unethical’ means are discouraged and rejected by one and all”

(By permitting use of the phrase ‘unethical conversion’ Hindus have inadvertently legitimized something called ‘ethical conversion’ of Hindus by Christians and Muslims)

- “We see the need for and usefulness of a continuing exercise to collectively evolve a ‘code of conduct’ on conversion, which all faiths should follow. We therefore feel that inter-religious dialogues on the issue of conversion should continue at various levels”

(Instead of demanding that the Vatican and World Council of Churches refrain from religious conversion in India, the Hindus representing us at this meeting asked for a code of conduct on religious conversion, thus tacitly accepting the right of all churches to continue with religious conversion of Hindus on Hindu bhumi)

Swami Dayananda Saraswati, claiming to speak on behalf of the Hindu Dharmacharya Sabha in his capacity as Convener of the HDAS, also travelled to Jerusalem to convince the Jews that Hindus are not idolatrous. An account of this meeting too, can be read on the HDAS website. In the words of Swami Dayananda Saraswati, writing in The New Indian Express dated 9 March, 2008 –

- [Last year Hindu and Jewish religious leaders, representing the two oldest traditions in the world, commenced an inter-religious dialogue in New Delhi. Following that the Chief Rabbinate of Israel and the delegation from the Hindu Dharma Acharya Sabha held the second round of inter-religious dialogue at Jerusalem in February 2008.

- The Jerusalem meet concluded with a landmark declaration that Hindus worship 'one supreme being' and are not really idolatrous.

- The implications of this are profound in content and far-reaching in effect. Judaism was born of the complete repudiation of idol worship and rabbinic literature abounds with denunciations of idolatry in an entire tractate of the Talmud devoted to this.

- The importance of this issue in Jewish and other Abrahamic traditions cannot be overstated. Since its first encounter with these religions, and due to their incomplete understanding of its Sastras, Hinduism has been perceived by them as idolatrous and promoting many gods. The Hindus have for centuries experienced the extremely violent consequences of this wrong perception. The historic declaration made at the Hindu-Jewish summit at Jerusalem on February 18, 2008 sets at rest the wrong notion that Hinduism is idolatrous. The declaration reads:

- 'It is recognised that one Supreme Being in its formless and manifest aspects has been worshipped by Hindus over the millennia. The Hindu relates to only the one Supreme Being when he/she prays to a particular manifestation. This does not mean that Hindus worship 'gods' and 'idols'.'

- The Jewish leaders, in so many words, owned their perception of the Hindu tradition as erroneous and came up with the declaration which the Hindu delegation could happily accept.

- When they understood that no form is separate from Isvara and the particular form enshrined in a temple is but an altar of worship, they did not see any real issue to contend with. They were visibly relieved and thanked the delegation for removing the wrong perception held for more than two thousand years.

- Once the fundamental misconception was removed, the Rabbinate, not

surprisingly, also affirmed the following declaration on the sensitive issue

of the svastika, the sacred symbol for the Hindus:

- 'The svastika is an ancient and auspicious symbol of the Hindu tradition. It is inscribed on Hindu temples, ritual altars, entrances and even account books. A distorted version of this sacred symbol was misappropriated by the Third Reich in Germany and abused as an emblem under which heinous crimes were perpetrated against humanity, particularly the Jewish people. The participants recognise that this symbol is, and has been for millennia, sacred to Hindus, long before its misappropriation.'

- The importance of this affirmation may be understood from the fact that a Hindu temple in Detroit was vandalised a few years ago by the Jewish community offended by a huge svastika rangoli at the entrance of the temple.

The writer is surprised that there are no Jewish scholars of Hinduism and that Swami Dayananda Saraswati had to involve our traditional mathathipathis in the exercise to educate the rabbinate on why Hindus worship idols (murtis) and the importance of the swastika in Hindu tradition. It is not the responsibility of our religious leaders to visit foreign lands to resolve doubts and allay fears. If the Jewish Rabbinate was serious about friendship with the Hindus, the correct and proper conduct would have been to request an audience with any one of our traditional religious leaders for a discussion on this soil.

The Hindu Founder-Patrons of GFCH suffer from the Obsessive Compulsive Disorder of dining with the enemy, not with the aim of speaking of Hindu concerns, but to smooth the enemy’s ruffled feathers. Hindus across the country were affronted to see the smiling Sri Sri locked in bear hug with arch jihadi Yaseen Malik; they were even more affronted to hear that on his second visit to Kashmir, he spent the night at the house of yet another arch-jihadi, Syed Shah Geelani.

Baba Ramdev went a-visiting the Deoband mullahs and suffered the mortification of having the mullahs issue a fatwa, in his presence, against the singing of Vande Mataram. Taking the insult to Vande Mataram in his stride, and in his eagerness to sell his brand of yoga to Muslims, Baba Ramdev offered them a discount on his commodity by making the bizarre pronouncement that yoga was beyond religion and that Muslims could cry out Allah-O-Akbar instead of chanting ‘Om’ before they began their yogic aerobics. Within a few days, some mullah issued a fatwa against yoga too.

(Well done by mullah, at least he knows his religion.

There's nothing secular about Yoga. It's entirely religiously Hindu. Durga/Lakshmi/Saraswati did Yoga after taking out an Asura, Narasimha performed Yoga after getting rid of Prahlada's nasty dad. Likewise, Shiva and Krishna are both known as the Lords of Yoga. Yoga isn't "exercise", it isn't "relaxation", it isn't "a way to expand one's mind" or "for improving one's health" or other cheap gimmicks.)

Not to be outdone, Sri Sri made a dash to Deoband pleading the case of Vande Mataram and may be, just maybe, to offer the Deoband mullahs his brand of yoga, the artful Sudarshan Kriya as an alternate to Ramdev’s beyond-religion-tummy-tucker.

The same small group of 10 or 15 individuals, sanyasis and non-sanyasis (whose USP is their English-education based professions and their obviously foreign-looking disciples milling around them), keep coming back in different permutations and combinations. First they created the Hindu Dharma Rakshana Samiti, next they created the Hindu Dharmacharya Sabha with one of them as Convener, then they designed the Thinkers’ Meet, then was concocted the Vivekananda International Foundation and now they have crafted the Global Foundation for Civilizational Harmony. What sticks out unbecomingly is that all these organizations are managed and/or controlled by Advani loyalists.

Swami Dayananda Saraswati justified the creation of GFCH thus –

- “Dialogue is the ancient Hindu model for promoting mutual understanding of religious truth and avoiding or resolving conflicts between faiths. Dialogue between enlightened leaders of the faiths prevents the differences among them from spilling on to the streets and turning into uncontrollable issues. That was how in this ancient nation religious harmony was conceptualised, promoted and sustained for thousands of years. Now this needs to be globalised for promoting peace among religions.

- The only means to conflict avoidance and resolution is dialogue among

different religions. The Global Foundation for Civilisational Harmony [GFCH] which was inaugurated by His Holiness Dalai Lama in January 2008 in Delhi, and in which some well-known religious and spiritual leaders of different faiths participated, has a very significant role to play to bring about this healthy understanding among religions. The GFCH needs to organise meaningful dialogue between leaders of different religious traditions and help remove wrong perceptions arising from an absence of true understanding of each other's faiths, paving the way for harmony and mutual respect among religions. All religious faiths and religious leaders must extend their whole-hearted support to this great initiative”.

Swami Dayananda Saraswati knows, as do Baba Ramdev, Sri Sri and Mata Amritanandamayi, the patron of GFCH knows it too, as do the long list of its trustees, that churches and mosques are coming up close to temples in every street and street-corner, that Christians and Muslims are now buying land running into hundreds and thousands of acres allegedly for various purposes including educational institutions, but which sooner than later become the vastly profitable commercial establishments like shopping malls, restaurants, auditoriums, wedding halls, hotels and retail shops.

The trustees of GFCH know that agriculture, trade and commerce are increasingly being controlled by Christians and Muslims in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, that more and more churches and madarasas are mushrooming along the coastline, and yet Swami Dayananda Saraswati believes, and will have Hindus believe, that all these issues can be resolved through dialogue. Even if the writer takes him at his word, Hindus deserve to ask and deserve to know if GFCH has initiated a dialogue with Muslims and Christians on these issues and what has been the response by the adherents of the Abrahamic religions to these issues.

The Hindu Dharma Rakshana Samiti, the Hindu Dharmacharya Sabha did nothing when Jayalalithaa launched her murderous attack against the Kanchi Matham; all these grandiose organizations have proved to be completely unable to stop one church or one mosque from coming up, they do not care to look at the rapidly changing character of our public spaces, they do not accept or acknowledge that long before Love Jihad, white Christians and now local Christians had perfected the science and art of using love to penetrate important Hindu business and political families. Planting love-peddling Christian boys and girls on impressionable Hindu youth has been church tactic for several decades now. It speaks volumes for the bankruptcy of Hindu intellectual leadership and leadership at all levels that our spines are not made of steel.

None of these organizations have been able to stop government control of our temples, to stop cow slaughter on Bakr Id, they could not stop the police from arresting four Hindus from the venue of an exhibition on Aurangzeb nor counter the Muslims who shouted Allah-o-Akbar joyously as these Hindus were taken away. They have not been able to put pressure on the government to remove EV Ramaswamy Naicker’s statue from before the Srirangam temple, nor have they done anything to challenge the government on whimsically altering the Hindu New Year from April to January. If the GFCH thinks dialogue is the only method to resolve issues, given that we are all such great and glib talkers, surely all issues should now have been resolved in our favour.

The Secretary of GFCH has proudly flaunted on the GFCH website that he is a recipient of an Action Aid fellowship for Media Research. Voila! The Ford Foundation fellowship, Ashoka Fellowship, Fulbright Scholarship and all other lollies-doling western agencies have always picked their candidates well. The Vigil book on NGOs has chapter and verse on the doings of Action Aid in India and elsewhere

http://www.vigilonline.com/index.php?opt...0&Itemid=1

Yet another reason why the creation of GFCH must worry all right-thinking Hindus. Far from taking up with the Muslims and Christians issues threatening Hindu survival on Hindu bhumi, the Hindu components of GFCH have declared that they intend to organize Christian and Muslim spiritual and service fairs too in other cities of this country.

Organizations like GFCH and religious leaders who cater, in the main, to foreign or NRI Hindus, ultimately end up diminishing the importance of our traditional acharyas, gurus and mathams. By embarking on this foolish misadventure called inter-faith dialogue and multi-religious feel-good annual parties, these individuals aim to throw water on simmering Hindu anger even as they blunt the sharp edge of Hindu resistance at being crowded, manipulated and victimised out of more and more spaces. The real objective may be to create a collective Hindu papacy with the Hindu Founder-Patrons of the GFCH emerging as the 21st century voice and face of Hinduism.

The Hindu Spiritual and Service Fair must now aim only to bring together all Hindu religious and service organizations; this ought to be an end in itself. Leaders of Hindu organizations must de-link this fair from the GFCH and put this noble Hindu endeavour to better and more purposeful use.

Never Talk To Christianism.

Hindus don't know what idolatry and monopolytheism mean and would never make claims about concepts that have no bearing on their religion and (so) don't involve them. It's always the angelsk-speaking Hindus (who yet never know English) who would entangle themselves with these words, being so ignorant of christianism that they don't realise that Nothing In Christian Religious Discourse Ever Means What Hindus Think It Means. They never get it through their heads: It's all trick questions. It doesn't matter what you say, everything you say can and WILL be used against you.

Don't play intelligent with christianism. No one is that clever (the clever ones died long ago and weren't Indian).

Don't Interfaith Dialogue. Don't Interfaith Dialogue. Don't Interfaith Dialogue.

Hindus ought to be ostracising these interfaith dialoguers from Hindu society (whoever they are - has anyone even heard of any of them or is it just another case of fake sadhu/swami infiltrati?)

It is other way round. Capitalistic force can save us, problem is Socialistic form of our current government, which gives benefits based on caste, religion. Control every way of life, education, media, home, jobs, religion of majority, benefits.. etc.
Save us from what? When we have inherent problem in the culture, how can capitalism save us.. It has certain benefits, in terms of feeding a few, and making others go even hunger with anger. For example the wide difference between say a software engineer paid by MNC and say a mechanical engineer paid by a desi company? I know I am not treating these position equal, but our basic setup, our culture, and our ways of thinking has to expand rather collapse from 'as a system' point of view.

The current problems we have is from what we have built over the years.. and it has to be solved by ourselves. One can't throw away history, religion, culture and just catch on something gives a momentary happiness for a few.

If we are talking about economy and growth on equal front, a controlled capitalism, with highly regulated socialism is important. We need to research more into what is the best for us.. since, independence we have been only using systems what others have used.. Never work for us, and will ever work consider our desi factors.

protecting our culture, institutions that we like to see in the future, and killing the forces that only take away our best and give back the worst is important. Only patriotism can help us, here backed by a strong govt institution that changes for the future, and totally eradicating corruption at all levels. More public-private partnership, with the sole objective of growth and preserving all things that we need to, is important.

America is surviving 'cause of its solid fundamentals - governance, policy drivers, and institution and structures that are well monitored and a strong patriotic force monitoring and correcting the system.

We have to got to learn a lot.

Kishwar is a well known psec, should be common knowledge to anyone who has read Dr. Elst's "Ayodhya and After" where he quotes her as saying:

Quote:e.g. Madhu Kishwar : "The chauvinist nationalism of the RSS and Hindu Mahasabha, which found support among large sections of the Congress as well, was a key reason for the success of Jinnah." (Telegraph, 25/12/1990).

http://voiceofdharma.org/books/ayodhya/notes.htm

Also reportedly she has made common cause with Kashmiri Muslim separatists recently:

Quote:Neither the Chair nor Madhu Kishwar reacted to the day-long anti-India and separatist tirade. Indeed, they encouraged and prodded the speakers in their anti-India tirade. Jethamalani comically announced: “I am 90% Pakistani and only10% Indian.”

The ‘dialogue’ was only a series of unchallenged and uncontested monologues of speakers wanting secession from India.

Nationalist views censored

Yet when it was the turn for a contrary view, Madhu Kishwar and Ram Jethamalani did not allow the paper to be read till the end. Fist-thumping Jethamalani said he would not allow anything to be said except what was being said. He rose threateningly. Madhu Kishwar declared that unless the speaker made changes to her paper, the Kashmiri Hindu point of view would not be allowed to be aired: “No, No, I will not allow you to speak. You cannot speak this,” they both declared in unison.

I had done a copy-and-paste of his entire entry at Rajeev2004 blog - which included that line - and put this into a quoteblock (where I only inserted things in purple). The quoteblock's bounds seem to have disintegrated after IF migrated to its new look.

(I think Nizhal may know about Madhu Kishwar too and that he meant the "nice person" and "gulp" sarcastically. This is just a guess on my part, of course.)

TOGETHER WE SERVE

Devotees of Satya Sai Baba buying DVDs of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s Art of Living programme; disciples if ISCKON purchasing literature from Mata Amritanandamayi Math; Sadhvis of Prajapita Brahmakumaris understanding the mission and message of Ramakrishna Mission and young volunteers of Chinmaya Yuva Kendra rubbing shoulders with senior citizens in comprehending the teaching of Kanchi Swamigal.

Unbelievable? Illusionary? Perhaps impossible.

But it’s true and it happened in Chennai from December 24-28. Over 100 Hindu spiritual and service organizations including Ramakrishna Mission, Aurobindo Ashram, Ramanashramam, Kanchi Mutt, Sringeri Mutt, Mata Amritanandamayi Math, Art of Living movement, Patanjali Yogapeeth of Baba Ramdev, Swaminarayan movement etc came together for the first time ever on a single platform – the Hindu Spiritual and Service Fair 2009 – at the Sri Ramachandra University Grounds at Thiruvanmiyur in Chennai.

The five-day gala event was organized by the Chennai chapter of the Global Foundation for Civilizational Harmony (India). One of the primary objectives of the organizers behind holding the fair was to correct the wrong impression that Hindu spiritual organizations are not service-minded, are not socially conscious and they do not have a deep impulse for public service, unlike Christian, Islamic or even Sikh organizations.

Apart from a sizeable chunk of Hindus themselves, particularly the younger generation, who shared this wrong perception, this viewpoint had also greatly prejudiced the respect for Hindu faith in the minds of the followers of other faiths, as a socially insensitive faith. And of course, it also affected India’s image as a nation and of the Indian people as a whole as it implied that the majority faith groups of India are not socially conscious.

Again, in the absence among the general public of information pertaining to the service activities being carried out by Hindu spiritual organizations, philanthropic Hindus tended to make huge donations to organizations of other faiths. Not that donations to any organization serving the mankind is wrong. Only that many of those organizations receive plenty of funds from abroad while such local organizations suffer on account of insufficient support. The fair provided an opportunity to such generous and philanthropic individuals to donate to community organizations itself.

Last but not the least, the fair provided an opportunity to the layman to support the service of his or her liking. For example, some people love pets but do not know how to help them and through which organization. So, there was Karuna International. Some people were interested in meditation, so there was both Rajayoga by Brahmakumaris and Sudarshana Kriya by Art of Living. There were also organizations dedicated to Yoga, temple renovation, village adoption, orphanages, old age homes etc. The fair, thus, gave a wide option for the layman to choose his ‘Isht Sewa’ (service of choice).

Expectedly, the crowds that thronged the fair were also huge – a whopping 1.25 lakh according to organizers. The visitors included eminent personalities such as senior BJP leader Shri M Venkaiah Naidu, RSS leaders Shri Suryanarayan Rao and Shri Ram Madhav, actors Suganya, Arjun, Vivek, Vineet besides a host of social and industry leaders.

A surprise visitor to the fair was by Tamil Maanila Muslim League President Shri S Sheik Dawood, who appreciated the social work being done by Hindu organizations.

And all of them saw not just the stalls but also the staggering reach of the Hindu organizations. Just the 100 organisations which participated in the fair ran about 90,000 schools, constituting 1/8th of the total schools in the country. These organizations ran 25,000 hospitals and clinics and 4.5 lakh rural development projects. In fact, the Arya Samaj alone runs 24,000 educational institutions whereas institutions run by and affiliated to Vidya Bharati is over 18,000. This is mind-boggling, yet unknown to the majority of the people both within and outside the community. All these statistics, both total and of individual organizations, were prominently displayed in the Central Pavillion of the fair, which attracted a large number of visitors.

The fair was inaugurated by Tamil Nadu Governor Shri Surjit Singh Barnala in the presence of Karnataka Chief Minister Shri B S Yeddyurappa.

While Shri Barnala asserted that the services rendered by Hindu spiritual organizations have been immense, Shri Yeddyurappa termed as “utterly original” the idea of showcasing spiritual organizations as socially conscious service organizations.

“There is a general perception that Hindu spiritual organizations are not socially conscious and lack motivation for service. This myth needs to be demolished in order to gain the rightful place for these organizations in the global order of things”, Shri Yeddyyurappa said.

In his valedictory address on the concluding day of the fair, Swami Gauthamananda, President, Ramakrishna Mission, Chennai, said, “the fair has explicitly and powerfully brought out and placed before us the service aspect of all religious organizations, which is part and parcel of their love of man”.

Above all, it brought unity of minds, with devotees of different schools of thought within Hinduism coming together under one roof and trying to know and understand each other.

It was not just an exhibition, it is a revolution in the making. Together we serve. Together we struggle, Together we survive. Together we succeed.

And this comment:

Quote:Save us from what? When we have inherent problem in the culture, how can capitalism save us.. It has certain benefits, in terms of feeding a few, and making others go even hunger with anger. For example the wide difference between say a software engineer paid by MNC and say a mechanical engineer paid by a desi company? I know I am not treating these position equal, but our basic setup, our culture, and our ways of thinking has to expand rather collapse from 'as a system' point of view.

Care to enlighten us what these "inherent problems in culture" are?

Uh yeah pay is determined by supply & demand that's basic economics. If you want a software engineer and a mechanical engineer to be paid the same then I suggest you try Cuba or North Korea.

I think cricket is a garbage "sport" & find it ridiculous that cricketers in IPL make 100 times more than most top scientists do but that's what the market forces decided.

lol at these idiotic stories, in terms of "feeding a few", do you even understand that the even the poorest in the US have a living standard that the middle class Indians can only dream about?

You won't find masses starving to death in US or Hong Kong like you do in Zimbabwe or even India.

I also want to know your take on the evils of capitalism in formerly third world countries like Taiwan, HK, Singapore, S. Korea, Japan etc. The biggest evil in your mind I guess is that it made them rich.

Quote:If we are talking about economy and growth on equal front, a controlled capitalism, with highly regulated socialism is important. We need to research more into what is the best for us.. since, independence we have been only using systems what others have used.. Never work for us, and will ever work consider our desi factors.

Uh yeah you do realize that they are incompatible right?

You had your highly regulated socialism until the 90s, not a lot of Indians want to go back that in case you didn't realise.

If others found a more successful system why shouldn't we use it?

Do you also suggest that Indian's avoid cars or air travels because Westerners came up with them?

"Never work for us" is that why India has one of the fastest growing economies behind China after it decided to abandon some of it's socialism?

Is Tharoor planning to marry a Kashmiri beautician?

New Delhi: Shashi Tharoor was back in news today, this time for his personal life, with reports that the Minister of State for External Affairs was intending to marry a Kashmiri beautician after divorcing his Canadian wife.

Sources close to the 54-year old Tharoor declined to comment on the reports, urging the media to respect his privacy. "He will announce whatever, when he has something to announce," the sources said.

Media reports said Tharoor proposed to marry Sunanda, a girl from a Kashmiri family. Trained as a beautician, Sunanda runs a spa and has lived in Dubai.

The Minister is said to be undergoing a legal separation from his second wife Christa Giles, a Canadian civil servant who works with the United States on disarmament issues. Tharoor was earlier married to academic Tilottama Mukherji, whom he knew from his school days in Kolkata.

Who's betting Christa and her bosses used him?
