They certainly have the right to grant citizenship to whoever they want.



I hope they know that this means that India can also deny citizenship to any Christian foreigner who is coming into India to propagate Christianity.

Some 30-35 people attacked the Sri Sri Rahshakali temple in Ashrafdi village in Naranaganj district on Friday night, the bdnews24 web site quoted a police official as saying. They also damaged four adjacent houses and injured five people, it said. The Police officer, Mr Mohammed Yunus Ali, said the temple was attacked following an altercation between a Hindu and three youths in the village. A case has been registered, the official said.

Turkish police have recovered the body of a 16-year-old girl they say was buried alive by relatives in an "honour" killing carried out as punishment for talking to boys.



The girl, who has been identified only by the initials MM, was found in a sitting position with her hands tied, in a two-metre hole dug under a chicken pen outside her home in Kahta, in the south-eastern province of Adiyaman.



Police made the discovery in December after a tip-off from an informant, the Turkish newspaper Hurriyet reported on its website.



The girl had previously been reported missing.



The informant told the police she had been killed following a family "council" meeting.

Her father and grandfather are said to have been arrested and held in custody pending trial. It is unclear whether they have been charged. The girl's mother was arrested but was later released.

A postmortem examination revealed large amounts of soil in her lungs and stomach, indicating that she had been alive [color="#FF0000"]and conscious[/color] while being buried. Her body showed no signs of bruising.



The discovery will reopen the emotive debate in Turkey about "honour" killings, which are particularly prevalent in the impoverished south-east.

With breaking news out of Palestine today that a top aide to President Mahmoud Abbas has been literally caught with his pants down, rape tapes seem to be popping up all over the pious Muslim world. And some are

horrifically worse than others.



Last month on the FOX Business Network, Colonel Oliver North revealed a startling piece of information. Conservative mullahs and elements within the Haqqani terror network – known as the backbone of the Taliban and Al Qaeda in the Af/Pak theater – are working to take the Haqqanis down from the inside. Their key weapon is a disturbing video that shows the serial sexual assault of several young girls.



Colonel North explained that no one in American intelligence had yet seen this video. Here it is:

When I travelled to Afghanistan to research my novel, The Apostle, contacts of mine introduced me to a mid-level Taliban commander in the Haqqani network. Over tea and considerable time talking together, he provided me with some very good, inside-baseball information on the Haqqanis and how their network operates.



I soon realized that he was part a burgeoning movement of disillusioned fighters, mullahs and commanders who have lost faith in both the network’s founder, Jalaluddin Haqqani and its Chief Operating Officer, Siraj Haqqani, Jalaluddin’s son.

Recently, this mid-level Taliban commander shared a chilling story with me. He told me it was a scandal that would rock the Muslim world like nothing before and that it would “devastate” the Haqqani network. “What Abu Ghraib was for you Americans,” he said, “this will be for the Haqqanis; only worse.”



A Muslim Abu Ghraib? Considering the horrific violence that the Haqqanis had perpetrated to date, I had trouble imagining what they could have done now that would suddenly have the power to enflame the Muslim world. After all, that kind of outrage is normally reserved for terrible insults by the West, like cartoons, operas, or free speech. Then, my contact told me his story. It made me absolutely sick to my stomach.



As Siraj Haqqani moved from village to village, rounding up the sons of poor Muslim families to fight for the Taliban and Al Qaeda, he offered the villagers free medical care. He even sent his physician, Dr. Hassan Duraz to conduct the clinics. There was a horrific catch, though. Duraz was a monster.



He arrived in each village with Siraj Haqqani’s uncle, Ibrahim, and Siraj’s cousin, Ishak, in tow. With them, the Haqqanis brought along their own very special tools of terror – a video camera and an eye for human flesh. You see, with Haqqani healthcare, you not only received a medical exam, if you were an attractive young girl, you also got a screen test. And heaven forbid you passed.



For those women and girls unfortunate enough to catch the good doctor’s fancy, it was show time. The Haqqani uncle and cousin would be brought into the exam room, they would set up their video equipment, and Duraz would drop his trousers and go to work.



The Haqqanis and Duraz sexually assaulted poor women throughout the tribal regions and captured every moment of their degradation and humiliation on video to enjoy over and over again.



Times were good for the Haqqani pornography ring. Their enterprise thrived until someone slipped up and word leaked out. In the blink of an eye, Siraj Haqqani was in big trouble.





And what’s a good and pious Muslim warrior to do when his moral authority and the very existence of his terror network are at stake? There’s only one answer of course. Kill everyone involved. (Everyone that is, except for family.) And that’s exactly what Siraj Haqqani did.



Haqqani not only killed the women in the video, but he also killed his own physician, Dr. Duraz. After all, dead men (and dead women for that matter) tell no tales, right?



The only thing left to do was to visit the Haqqani home theater and destroy all the evidence. With that task complete, Siraj Haqqani could sit back and relax. There was just one problem. He didn’t get all of the tapes. My contact managed to rescue some.



With the help of a prominent Pakistani Mullah, he put together the video we have linked here, extolling all Muslims to condemn and abandon the Haqqanis. In Islam, there is only one thing worse than the sins the Haqqanis committed – Siraj Haqqani’s sin of trying to cover it all up.



As the video is disseminated throughout the bazaars of Pakistan and Afghanistan, I can only hope that it will result in a death sentence for the Haqqanis and their entire terror network. According to the tenets of Islam, Siraj Haqqani, his cousin, and uncle will spend an eternity roasting in hell. Anyone who supports them, now that this video has come to light, will be subject to the same fate under Islam, which will hopefully serve as a significant disincentive to join or continue working for the Haqqani network.



Siraj Haqqani, like the uncle and cousin he protects, is a monster. I can only hope that he witnesses the collapse of his organization as his followers tear him limb from limb and that the experience will be repeated daily in the afterlife, with two matinees on Sundays.



As you watch the video (or don’t watch it), keep in mind one thing. None of this terrible evil would have been possible without Siraj Haqqani.



For the record, through independent sources in Afghanistan and Pakistan, I have confirmed that the women who appear herein, as well as Dr. Duraz, have all indeed been murdered.

I don't want to know the details of the above, but the mention of live filming of the rapes of children reminds one of that famous recent (~6 months ago?) international bust, doesn't it? What did the news report again... it was a couple of Russians who filmed the usual paedofile-ring short of them raping a newly-kidnapped 8-year old girl-child on camera, which the perverted pukes released on the internet. I'm not sure, but I think it was all live. The crime bust caught a host of global psycho-sickos, such as a bunch of aussies, all of whom watched the putrid puke. (That's how the cops detected the terrorists: they went after all those who watched.)

Though one never understands why cops bother arresting these kinds of virulent germ strains. Why not just shoot them on sight. After all, who's going to miss them? They're wanted dead, not alive. And if they happen to be dumped below ground with multiple holes in each of them - or even still breathing (does one need to check, seems like a waste of police-force time/taxpayers' money) - it's okay.



Someone really needs to do something about the international child trafficking rings. The numbers are of pukeworthy orders of magnitude. And the real "life" stories of the little kids involved are even worse.

The arrested man has been reported to be on the run for the last few days since the case became public, after originating with the statement from one of the girls who says she was a victim.



The 48 year old Imam was arrested at an undisclosed location in Murcia and will appear in court after first giving a statement to the Guardia Civil Youngsters Group which has been investigating the case for the past week. Reporting restrictions have been imposed by the court in Cartagena. The man has been giving religion and Koran classes since is arrival at the mosque 15 months ago.

GOUDA, 17/02/10 - Gouda local council has given criminal Moroccan teenagers money to stop causing trouble. "We wanted to prevent matters from escalating further," said the council yesterday.



Some dozens of young Moroccans waylaid and robbed passers-by in December. They were 'bought off' by the municipality to keep them off the street around New Year's Eve. They received a combined 2,250 euros, shoved into an envelope, to organise a party, De Telegraaf reported yesterday.



Gouda has confirmed that it paid the troublemakers. "We wanted to prevent maters from escalating further. The youngsters themselves had presented a budget for the party. They had to say how much money they needed for hiring a disc-jockey, a bite to eat and drinks. For us, it was important that it should be quiet in the district around the turn of the year."



According to the council, it had to act quickly. "Although the money was handed over in cash, it was well-spent. Everyone was happy afterwards. We also gave five Moroccans a gift voucher for a book shop afterwards as a thank-you," says a spokeswoman.

Clay figures found in Ghana hints at existence of pre-Islam society





Reports indicate that archaeologists have unearthed dozens of clay figures in Ghana, shedding light on a sophisticated society which existed before the arrival of Islam.



According to BBC News, experts from the University of Ghana found 80 sculptures believed to be between 800 and 1,400 years old.



They believe that the figures, depicting animal and human forms, are part of a burial ground or shrine.



Archaeologists say that the societies that constructed the figures simply disappeared when Islam arrived.



"What is interesting is that the people now living in this area seem to have no connection with the makers of the figurines," said the university's Benjamin Kankpeyeng.



"That would suggest that that they have more in common with peoples living in other parts of West Africa - but we need to do more work before we can be certain," he added.



The statues were found amid hundreds of mounds in a densely packed 30km-square area.



Kankpeyeng intends to analyze the position and arrangement of the statues with Tim Insoll from the UK's Manchester University.



Insoll told the BBC that very little was known about civilizations in the area between 600 and 1200 AD because no written history was kept and the societies ceased to exist when Islam arrived.



He said experts still did not know why the civilizations came to an end, whether the people converted en masse to Islam, or were captured by Arab slave traders.



"The statues could tell historians what kind of people inhabited West Africa in that time," he said.



"Figures have been found in this area before, but what we can do with the latest find is map their arrangement to find out what their purpose was - whether for sacrifice or some other ritual," he added.

They accused Zakaria of lying and presenting false information without any evidence. Whether by design or accident (if by design, it was brilliant!) Zakaria dedicated his following week's program to respond to these critics by presenting the following historical evidence from Islamic sources that the Prophet did indeed have an itchy head (although these sources have existed for well over 1200 years, not all of them are easily available in languages other than Arabic which is one reason many historical facts about Muhammad are unknown to non-Arabic reading Muslims. English links will be provided below if available online)





1. The Sunan of Abu Dawud al-Sajistani (Book 19, Number 3074) as well as the Jamia al-Asul of Ibn Kathir and the Sunan al-Kubra of Imam al-Bayhaqi relate that a woman named Zainab was picking lice from the head of the Prophet (it is unclear from the texts if this is the daughter-of-law and cousin of Muhammad whom he married after she divorced his son Zayd, or another woman with the same name).



2. Abu al-Qasim al-Tabarani in his Al-Mujam al-Kabeer relays an account by Umm Salama that she was picking lice from the head of the prophet when a woman named Zainab came to see her. Umm Salama stopped picking the lice as he lifted her head to talk to Zainab, but Muhammad angrily told her not to stop; she could talk to Zainab and pick his lice at the same time.



3. Ibn Jawzi in Kashf al-Mushkil writes that the Prophet liked to take his afternoon nap in the house of Anas Ibn Malik's aunt, and she would pick the lice off his head.



4. Abu Umar Ibn Abdel Barr in his book Tamhid writes that Umm Haram relayed that the Prophet used to come to her house and fall asleep in her lap while she picked his lice.



5. Jalal al-Din al Sayuti in al-Durr al-Mansur writes that Akramah said that a woman named Khawlah came to the Prophet to complain about her husband while another woman was picking the lice from Muhammad's head. As Khawlah began speaking Muhammad lifted his head distractedly towards the sky, causing the woman to exclaim, "Khawlah, can't you stop talking? Don't you see what you are doing to the Prophet?"



After noting that it seemed as if everywhere the Prophet went he needed women to pick the lice from his hair, including but not limited to the five women listed above, Abuna Zakaria paused dramatically as he often does, to look directly into the camera and ask, "I would like the Ulama (Muslim scholars) of al-Azhar University to explain to us why the head of the Prophet was so filled with lice that everywhere he went he needed women to remove them. Your Quran describes Christians as najiseen (filthy), but whose head was covered with lice?"



When the co-host asked if the Arabic texts also gave the reasons for lice, Zakaria continued with the following sources:



In his Book of Animals, al Jahiz (go here for more on this fascinating Arab zoologist, grandson of an African slave) said that Abu-Qathifa asked his friends if they knew were lice came from. When they replied they did not, he told them that lice gathered when they passed gas and did not clean themselves. Later in the same book, al-Jahiz wrote that lice multipled from unclean perspiration, dirty clothing, and unwashed hair. In his Book of Medicine, Physician al-Razi wrote that lice increased when people rarely took baths. Shaykh al-Nasafi noted in his book Tilbat al-Talabah that "filth brings lice". Ibn Samoun wrote in Amali that lice grow in places that are not clean. Again characteristically, Zakaria asked, "Did the Prophet have so many lice because he was unclean? I don't want anyone to accuse me - I'm just asking the question."



The co-host next asked what Arabic sources said about someone who had lice. Zakaria quoted Abu Husayn Zakaria in The Encyclopedia of Language as saying, "Lice indicates vulgarity and oppression. The person with lice is vulgar and an oppressor."



As Zakaria continued with more Islamic sources that discussed lice resulting from poor hygiene and personal uncleanliness, I found myself thinking the same thing you might be thinking right now, "Isn't this pushing the envelope a little too far? What's the point on going on about Muhammad and his lice? Who cares anyhow?"



Then I realized I was thinking from the perspective of a non-Muslim living in the West. How would I think if I were an ordinary Christian Copt living in Egypt? What would it feel like to be a Coptic girl walking the streets of Cairo, her uncovered hair flowing over her shoulders, hearing men call her a whore as they stare with contempt at the cross she wears around her neck? What would it be like to be a young Christian boy walking to church on Christmas Eve with the neighborhood ruffains chasing and teasing him, calling him a kafir and an idolater? What is it like for a Christian teenager in a Muslim country to know that America elected its first African American President, but he could never be president of his country because he is a non-Muslim? What is it like for a Christian pediatrician working in the clinic of a Coptic neighborhood, knowing he will never fulfill his dream of being Head of Pediatrics at a major hospital or university just because he is not a Muslim? What is it like for Christians to realize they cannot even repair their churches without government permission while mosques are built all around them and they are forced to listen to Quranic verses describing them from loudspeakers as being filthy and untrustworthy?



If I lived in their shoes, a minority in a cultural majority that feels itself spiritually and morally superior to them in every way, I might understand a little better the emotions that drive Zakaria Boutros as he risks his life to talk about the lice of Muhammad.

The chain has replaced bacon with smoked halal turkey in restaurants in three branches in a Paris suburb, two in Marseille, and the remainder in Toulouse, Villeurbanne, near Lyon, and Roubaix, northern France – all of them areas with high Muslim populations.



These restaurants now serve only halal food, seen as permissible according to Islamic law. The company said the move was part of a test, which began in November, and that pork may return to the menu at a later date.





However, it has sparked angry reactions from Catholic groups. A comment on E-Deo, a Catholic website, said: "Quick is in the process of inventing fast-islamisation".



Citing its outlet in Villeurbanne, a Quick spokesman said that no customers were "obliged" to eat halal meat, as "in parallel, we have 10 Quick restaurants in the Lyon area" offering "classic menus".



Some Muslim customers welcomed the move in one branch in Roubaix, northern France. "I'm happy, as I can come with my Muslim friends," said Farid, 17.



But other regular customers were outraged. "I don't understand, why can't they sell halal burgers and bacon burgers at the same time?" asked Delphine, 26.



The far-right National Front waded in on Sunday; its vice-president, Marine Le Pen, who is campaigning ahead of next month's regional elections, said: "All those who come to buy food in this Quick will in reality pay a tax to Islamic certification organisations [paid to rubber stamp the halal label]."



But Al-Kanz, a French Muslim consumers' group, said the reasons were "purely economic", adding that there were no "dark Muslim forces in France putting pressure" on the chain.



French Muslims have expressed concern that they are being stigmatized following a four-month long controversial "great debate" on national identity launched by the government, which centred heavily on immigration and the position of Islam in France. There has been an equally heated debate on whether to ban the full Islamic veil.

Never mind the Freudian anatomical reference but this is truly bizarre. One would think that something non-invasive like a scan would be preferred to a patdown.

In the latest of a series of communal assaults on them, two Sikhs were beheaded by the Pakistani Taliban for their reported failure to convert to Islam. A grief-stricken Taranjit Singh, cousin of Jaspal Singh, one of the decapitated men, praised Jaspal for choosing martyrdom over the ignominy of forced conversion. The other reason cited for the decapitation is the deadline having passed for payment of ransom of Rs 3 crore to the abductors. Two other Sikhs are still in the Taliban’s captivity.



In Bangladesh, on February 6, a gang of men, 30-35 in number, vandalised the Sonargaon temple, an ancient Hindu pilgrimage in Narayanganj district, and damaged six idols. The supposedly secular Indian intelligentsia and media, which suffered an apoplectic fit as a result of the Babri Masjid demolition, largely ignored the assault. Neither did Right-wing groups, posing as custodians of Hindu interests, bother to raise the issue. Yet, to dreg up the past, the Muslim backlash to the Babri Masjid demolition on December 6, 1992 was marked by the ancient Dhakeshwari shaktipeeth in Dhaka being vandalised and Hindus being butchered; and over a hundred shrines, including those of Jains and Sikhs, being damaged in Pakistan, and a Jain temple being razed. In Britain, a temple was razed by a vengeful mob, and gurudwaras and Hindu shrines attacked. Muslim expatriates from the subcontinent attacked the Indian Embassy at Teheran, and rose in protest in Arab countries though Arabs themselves observed restraint.



The assault on the Sonargaon shrine as well as the beheading simply draws attention to the plight of non-Muslims in regions, where Islamic bigotry has reared up in a ferocious avatar. Under the previous Bangladesh Government, reports of snatching of land, owned by Hindus, were common; and majority of rape cases were registered by Hindu women. Such persecution forced many Hindus to flee their homes and seek refuge here. In Afghanistan and Pakistan, where the Taliban’s writ runs, besides Sikhs and Hindus, minority Christians too are on the run from marauders, criminals and fanatics, posing as the true flag-bearers of Islam. They are being forced to pay jizya, protection money or survival tax, in order to ensure their safety, to extortionists. In Iraq, too, according to reports, Christian families are being coerced by gun-toting men to pay jizya or leave.



The poll tax levied on non-Muslims in Muslim countries in exchange for state protection draws sanction from the Quran (Al-Tawbah 9:29). The imposition of jizya and the accompanying violence in lawless areas is a throwback to the past, when crusading Islamic conquerors subjugated ‘infidel natives’ either on the point of the sword via forced conversions or spared their lives in exchange for the payment of protection money:



“Summon the people to god; those who respond to your call, accept it from them, but those who refuse must pay the poll tax out of humiliation and lowliness. If they refuse this, it is the sword without leniency. Fear god with regard to what you have been entrusted.” (Al Tabari, Volume XII)

The conquest of Sindh by Muhammed Bin Qasim in the early 8th century AD led to imposition of jizya on Hindu and Buddhist natives. In return, they were free to follow their own religions. This set the precedent for some of the Islamic rulers who followed him into India. The empire-builders among them, the Mughals, alternated between Islamic severity and kingly graciousness in their treatment of non-Muslims. However, the Sikhs, as a militant sect, came into conflict with them. Emperors Jahangir and Aurangzeb clashed with two of the Sikh gurus Arjan Dev and Tegh Bahadur, respectively, and had them put to death. The four sons and mother of Guru Govind Singh, the last in the line, were also martyred for resisting imposition of Islam, as were thousands of others. The differentiation between Muslims and infidels often owed to political compulsions.



But such intolerance is an anachronism in today’s rapidly shrinking world. There are ulterior motives behind religious bigotry. Hugh Fitzgerald, of JihadWatch, states on his internet site DhimmiWatch:



“Elsewhere, as in Pakistan and Bangladesh, the Hindus and Christians live in a state of permanent physical danger, and that danger also is one of losing their property to Muslim looters and marauders who cannot be sued or brought to justice on the say-so of a non-Muslim... There is no security for the property of non-Muslims in Muslim lands, and there are various ways in which the ‘protection money’ that is the jizya is paid...”.



Religious bigotry is thus also a convenient pretext for extortion and grabbing minorities’ property, and making them abandon their homes.

[size="6"]Breastfeeding fatwa ranks in world's "stupidest"[/size]

In three separate polls, the adult breastfeeding fatwa – Islamic ruling – went head to head with the Prophet's urine fatwa in the 2007 sweepstakes for the "stupidest" fatwas in recent memory.



In a list of 'The World's Stupidest Fatwas' compiled by American Magazine Foreign Policy, adult breastfeeding, sanctioned by a professor at Al-Azhar University, ranked third.



First was the 1989 fatwa from Ayatollah Khomeini that sanctioned the killing of Salman Rushdie, the British author of The Satanic Verses, a controversial book on the origins of the Quran.





Then came the "unclothed sex" fatwa that annuls the marriage of a couple who take off all their clothes when having sex, while the third banned the Japanese Pokemon games because they encourage gambling, which is forbidden in Islam.



In fourth place was the fatwa issued by some Pakistani chieftains that polio vaccines are a Western conspiracy to spread infertility amongst Muslims.



In another poll conducted by IslamOnline.com, the breastfeeding fatwa edged out the fatwa on flogging journalists issued by Al-Azhar's Grand Imam Sheikh Sayed Tantawi and the sacredness of the prophet's urine by Egypt's Mufti Sheikh Ali Gomaa.



Gomaa's statement that the prophet's apostles used to seek blessing by drinking his urine was no less provocative. Gomaa actually cited an incident when a woman drank the urine and the prophet told her "this stomach of yours will never see hell."



In May, Dr. Ezzat Atiya, head of Hadith (Prophetic Tradition) Department at Al-Azhar University, told AlArabiya.net that women should breastfeed their male co-workers so they can be alone in a closed office space.



“Breastfeeding an adult man five times makes it legal for the woman to sit alone with that man at a closed workplace. This way, the woman can take off her veil in front of her work-mate without being in violation of Islamic rulings," Atiya said.



After the ruling provoked outrage across the Muslim world, the university referred Atiya to a disciplinary board, which dismissed the Islamic scholar.



By that time, the fatwa had already made Muslims the laughing stock of the West and subjected girls to various types of harassment, Egyptian daily Al-Ahram reported in September.



Four days after the fatwa was posted on AlArabiya.net, Atiya signed a written statement of apology to all Muslims and retracted his statement, saying it was based on a specific incident.



The former Dean of Al-Azhar's School of Shari'a (Islamic law), Sheikh Rashad Hassan Khalil, ruled in 2006 that a marriage is no longer legitimate if the couple strip naked in front of each other, while the 2001 Pokemon fatwa that started in Saudi was supported by U.A.E. scholars and condoned by the Mexican Catholic Church as work of Satan.

Now, a Hindu abducted in Pak

Close on the heels of the killing of two abducted Sikhs by Taliban in the restive tribal belt, the case of kidnapping of a Pakistani Hindu has come to light. The victim, Robin Singh, was abducted by unknown persons from a market on the University Road in Peshawar [color="#0000FF"]in broad day light[/color] on Friday last, an official statement said.



President Asif Ali Zardari condemned the kidnapping of the Hindu man and asked authorities to take steps for his recovery.

The incident comes to light days after the recovery of the beheaded bodies of two abducted Sikhs — Mahal Singh and Jaspal Singh — in Pakistan’s tribal belt. Another two to four Sikhs are still being held by the Taliban.
