Admission into post-graduate teachers training
All the entrance exam writers are by definition at least middle class
Assume cut off = 115 IQ
Upper caste pass = 14%,
Implied IQ = 115 - 15 = 100
OBC caste pass = 7 %
Implied IQ = 115 - 22 = 93
SC pass = 4%

5TH INTERNATIONAL MATHEMATICS - OLYMPIAD RESULT SHEET
What this school has done , very good IMHO, is to make all their students tryout for the International Math Olympiad
Globally ranks 1-50 wins a gold medal, 51-100, wins a silver medal, 101-150 wins a bronze medal and 151-200 wins a honorable mention.
I would guess, anyone scoring in top 1000, is 3 SD or 145 IQ.
The 2 SD mark or 130 IQ is around rank 5000 and 1 SD mark or 115 IQ is around rank 25000
I am sorting by roll #, caste, and IMO ranking in the following posts

Out of the total 678, I have sampled the first 70, or 10%
Of this 70, 19 are SIB, so I feel that this school is a good proxy for any upper-middle-class school, anywhere in India.
I would expect Chennai-Tambrahm-CBSE schools like DAV-Gopalapuram and Vidyamandir to outperform this type of school, because they are 75% SIB, instead of 22% SIB, like this school

If there were 1000 Nishad kids, 1 would pass
There are only 350, and therefore zero pass
The next thing to ponder is why the Nishad IQ is much lower than Dravidian IQ, though they occupy similar slots in the caste heirarchy
IMHO, the dravidian castes could close some of the IQ gap by not marrying their cousins.
There is no easy IQ fix for the Nishad castes
The very high performance of Orissa in TIMMS, where 9% scored over 550, is due to the large presence of RSS schools which charge low fees for the lower middle class and have a good teaching system

Welcome to India's best school
At the Central Board of Secondary Examination's class XII board exams, DAV Boys Senior Secondary School in Gopalapuram, Chennai, has created history
The lowest percentage in the school was 77 per cent
in the last 20 years, 250 students from this school have joined various Indian Institutes of Technology, on an average of 12 to 15 students joining the IITs every year
The quality of the results naturally attracts good students to the school.
Students are selected through an entrance examination in maths and science.
- ( That would tilt the student profile to SIB )
"The examination is so transparent that we publish the results and we take students only on merit," says Dr Satish.
He is of the opinion that CBSE students perform better in the all India examinations like AIEEE, BITS Pilani, and IIT Joint Entrance Exam than the state board students ( Time to dump State Board )

QES also reveals wide differences between the learning outcomes of students of the countryââ¬â¢s numerous (34) examination boards. While students from CBSE and CISCE ââ¬â pan-India exam boards with 10,000 and 1,800 affiliated schools countrywide ââ¬â performed best, the test scores of students from private schools affiliated with the Karnataka, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu Matriculation and Maharashtra state boards were significantly lower. Among the two pan-India boards, CISCE-affiliated school students showed significantly better learning outcomes than CBSE students.
The better scores of CISCE school students are attributed to this exam-ination boardââ¬â¢s independence from government and its superior humanities syllabus. Unlike CBSE, which affiliates diverse schools (government, army, rural, etc), CISCE attracts the countryââ¬â¢s top-ranked metro and boarding schools as affiliates. ââ¬ÅUnlike CBSE, which has to be more mindful of government policies and rules, CISCE is an auto-nomous examination board. Whenever thereââ¬â¢s government interference, it curbs the creativity of educators who need freedom to conceptualise and implement whatââ¬â¢s best for students. CISCE schools donââ¬â¢t carry government baggage. The beneficiaries of CISCEââ¬â¢s autonomy are students of affiliated schools,ââ¬Â says Carl Laurie principal of the CISCE-affiliated Christ Church School, Mumbai.
Vivek Ramchandani, the well-known Delhi/Dehradun-based education cons-ultant and former founder principal of the top-ranked The Shri Ram School, Delhi and hitherto the Nairobi-based advisor of the Aga Khan Education Trust, believes thereââ¬â¢s a philosophical difference of outlook between the two all-India exam boards. ââ¬ÅCISCE is an independent, forward looking board, strong in the humanities and English literature. Consequently, its curriculum is broad-based and designed to provoke critical thinking and applic-ation. On the other hand, CBSE is a government supervised, if not cont-rolled, board. Its bias is toward STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) subjects which require some rote learning. Though recently CBSE has initiated some significant exam and assessment reforms, its affiliated schools are struggling to implement them. But board affiliation is not as critical a factor as is the willingness and ability of school managements to deliver curriculums effectively in classrooms. Good schools transform board syllabuses into excellent curriculums which encourage learning through critical thinking and application skills,ââ¬Â says Ramchandani.

Table A.2: Population coverage indices
This shows that in most countries 1% of the schools were sampled for PISA
However, the TN, HP data is so bad, they dont have a clue on what the sampling ratio is
Table A3,
TN had 143 schools appearing for PISA
HP had 66 schools appearing for PISA
Whereas in Costa Rica, 180 schools appeared for PISA
Table A4
TN PISA had 3210 students
HP PISA had 1616 students
Costa Rica PISA had 4578 students
CBSE has launched a new curriculum, CBSE-i ( international ) that is also available to Indian schools and more oriented to PISA

I will next prove how the Dravidianists have essentially ruined education in TN, in a fake bid to close IQ gap with SIB
TN now scores below Orissa
For reference, in 1995, the SAT in the USA, relaxed standards and this raised scores by 80 out of 1600 ( Math + verbal )
What this meant was that suddenly hundreds started getting perfect SAT of 1600. Meaning lots of those who would have got 1520 to 1600, suddenly all got 1600. This meant that accuracy was lost at the higher ends.
Engineering college in TN in 1975
Even in those days it was clear that TN board scored exams far more leniently than CBSE.
Middle class Dravidian IQ = 90
Middle class SIB IQ = 115 ( 1.5 SD + )
Engineering cut off = 130 IQ
SIB = 3%
SIB % scoring over 130 = 15%
Total SIB = 0.15 x 3 = 0.45
Dravidian = 97%
Dravidians scoring over 130 = 0.4 %
Total Dravidians = 0.004 x 97 = 0.39
SIB % in Engineering school = 45 / ( 45 + 39 ) = 54%
In actuality, the real SIB was brought down to 30% by having a differential cut-off
--
Now lets come to TN medical colleges these days
Assume, that due to Flynn effect, Middle class Dravidian IQ has gone up to 95
Middle class SIB IQ = 115
SIB = 3%
Dravidian = 97%
Assume Medical college cutoff = 145 IQ
SIB who meet cut off = 2.3% x 3% = 6.9
Dravidians who meet cut off = 0.05% x 97% = 4.85
Out of 1000, expected SIB = 6.9 / ( 6.9 + 4.85 ) = 59%
--
Now if we move Medical college cut off to 125 IQ ,and dumb down the curriculum, so that it no longer gives
accurate readings above 125 IQ
-
Dravidians who meet cutoff = 2.3% x 97% = 225
SIB who meet cut off = 25% x 3% = 75
This reduces SIB to = 75 / ( 75 + 225 ) = 25%
The max allowed for SIB is 31%, so now Dravidian castes can also get into FC quota
These days both OBC and FC have the same cut-off, but by ruining the curriculum, it has a max testable ceiling of 125 IQ
These days the dravidianist websites crow that almost no brahmins get into medical
Step-1 make IQ ceiling as 125 instead of 145
Step-2, in the interview process, screw Tambrahms
Step-3, half the tambrahms have migrated away and reduced to 1.5%
Step-4 most Tambrahms migrated to CBSE curriculum which has much stricter grading and now aim at IT jobs instead of medical
I submit that for political reasons, to avoid exposure of IQ gap with SIB, TN will permanently have a dumb curriculum

Impact of IQ cut off levels between SIB and Dravidian castes
--
Dravidian IQ = 92
SIB = 115
SIB = 3%
Dravidian castes = 97%
--
Cut off = 115 IQ
SIB = 50% x 3% = 1.5
Dravidian castes = 6.3% x 97 = 6.1
SIB = 1.5 / 7.6 = 20%
--
Cut off = 125 IQ
SIB = 25% x 3% = 0.75
Dravidian = 1.5% x 97% = 1.45
SIB = 34%
--
Cut off = 135 IQ
SIB = 9.3% x 3 % = 27.9
Dravidian = 0.2% x 97% = 19.4
SIB = 59%
--
Cut off = 145 IQ ( minimum level for Nobel )
SIB = 2.3% x 3% = 6.9
Dravidian = 0.02 % x 97% = 2
SIB = 77%
--
By adjusting IQ values, we will get somewhat different results, but with the same general shape
Any higher IQ cut off will favor SIB and lower IQ cut off will favor Dravidian castes.
The way to get a lower IQ cut off is to dumb down the curriculum
DAV-Gopalapuram Chennai, has an entrance exam. Any entrance exam skews the admits in favor of SIB
For a measly 300 Medical seats, the TN govt is screwing up educational curriculum for millions of TN kids
02-23-2012, 06:20 AM
(This post was last modified: 02-23-2012, 08:19 AM by G.Subramaniam.)
Lets look at the statistical bell curve impact of 12 mil SIB @ 118 IQ vs 1400 mil Han @ 109 IQ
IQ cut off = 150
--
SIB = 12 mil x 1.7% = 204 K
Han = 1400 mil x 0.3% = 4200 K
IQ cut off = 160
--
SIB = 12 mil x 0.25% = 30K
Han = 1400 mil x 0.03% = 420K
I believe that when all the caste segments are added up, there will be no more than 120K Indians above 160 IQ
