The two posts above are related to each other. Gypsies are merely the Indian converts to christianism that Europeans interact with. This now includes Indian sheep in India, such as in the christianised coast of the country, which upon conversion has become part of Japhetite territory (since all Hamites are subordinate to Japhetites and Semites as per christianism and consequently also islam).



The whole Italian-navy vs Indian sheepified fishermen 'incident' was part of longstanding christian tradition: it can have come as no surprise to anyone least of all the sheepified that the Japhetites (christianised Italians in this case) would shoot their much-hated prey the Hamites/the gypsies (Indian fishermen off the coast of India). It's what the Indian sheep signed up for: *they* enrolled willingly - even if not always knowingly perhaps - in the biblical hierarchy, to join in the ranks of the Hamites to be mistreated by the Japhetites. It was their choice to make and they made it. I hope Hindus weren't wasting their vocal chords and indignation in asking for justice. The Indian christian fishermen got biblical justice: the bible insists Hamites are born slaves to the Japhetites and Semites after all.

Yes, it happened in India's territory and India is still a majority Hindu nation - and had this happened to Hindu fishermen, Hindus should certainly take action/seek instant and total retribution. But it happened to Indian christians who are subordinate to the christian casta system. If their kind shoots and kills each other, there's little Hindus need do. And it works out better ultimately for Hindus: fewer christoterrorists to invade Hindu sacred spaces and terrorise the Hindus and their imagery of Hindu Gods, the way a christoterrorist had recently attempted to stomp on a Shivalingam (news item on that somewhere further above in this thread). If only the Italians had got to him too before he tried his little stunt, I'd be the last to complain. (I don't get paid to care about cannibal sheep, sorry. They can look after their own. Actually in this case, the south Indian church itself came out in defence of the Italian marines who had shot the convert sheep, which further demonstrates that the Indian church knows exactly what Indian converts' place is in the christian hierarchy and that they are entirely in agreement with it. And while it seems discriminatory and unjust and plain wrong, such is the nature of christoislamic religion. They screech against various heathen religions that exhibit something they dub "caste", but only in order to conceal their own blatant, innate, bigoted and implacable hierarchy.)



The message Hindus should send to the christianised sheep everytime something like this happens is: "You're on your own/You know this is what you signed up for, right?" There should be no remonstrance, especially as christian sheep always propagandise that Hindu Indians were terribly mistreated by their own heathen kind and that christianism will treat them better and thus won converts for (the mere and empty *promise* of) this reason. No? By converting out, they picked out who they wanted to be connected to: they'd rather be slaves to alien masters, than remain members of their ancestrally-related heathen family. So their newly adopted ... associations can come out in support of them. But then they *didn't*, instead the Italian officials did the opposite by trying to get the Italian murderers off the hook and were supported in this not only by the Indian church but aided and abetted by the barely-crypto and quite-christist Indian government. Like I said, biblical justice. Works like shariah. It rules the sheepified faithful. Heathens' hands are tied. Oh what to do.







What I came here for.



A book from the mid-80s offers a fleeting summary of what elsewhere is detailed in pages and chapters. But a summary suffices for IF, people here are familiar with other cases to not require the explicit details:

In 988 when Vladimir I [monarch of Russia] made the political decision to accept Christianity, he also married Anna, the sister of the Greek Emperor, whose capital Constantinople was the centre of the Greek Orthodox Church. There followed a period of enforced Christianization and Vladimir ordered the pagan idols to be burned or hacked to pieces. Perun [major Russian God, one of the Russian's Trinity] was tied to a horse's tail, thrashed with metal rods and eventually cast into the River Dnepr.* Afterwards, Vladimir had the citizens of Kiev baptized in the waters of the Dnepr and churches built where idols had stood. But away from the towns in the remote hinterlands of Russia the old pagan ways continued to exist for centuries.



Sometimes the old gods were merely given new new names. Veles, god of cattle, was transformed into Saint Vlasii, who is depicted in Russian icons surrounded by cows, sheep and goats. Perun was replaced by the Prophet Elijah who, according to the Old Testament, could also call down rain or fire from heaven. Not so very long ago superstitious peasants might say during a thunder-storm that it was Elijah, or Il'ya as they called him, riding across the sky in his fiery chariot in pursuit of devils. The devils tried to escape by turning themselves into animal or even human form; that is why the Russian peasants were wary of strangers and locked their doors and shut their windows while the storm lasted. On Il'ya's feast day (20 July in the calendar of the Russian Orthodox Church) in many parts of Russia cattle were sacrificed just as they had once been at the feet of the idols to Perun.

* A late 90s book that surprisingly has many of the same observations in the same order and with a lot of the same sentence structure (plagiarism???) and yet is listed under a different author and publisher, remarks at this point:

Even though Christianity was the new official faith in Russia, Christian missionaries found it enormously difficult to stamp out worship of this king of the gods [=Perun]. In Novgorod he was apparently tolerated well into the Christian era, as records show that the statue of Perun was solemnly flogged each year to rid it of demonic forces.

(Similar "tolerance" seen in islamics spitting at the "devil" at the black stone in Mecca, where the statues of the Arabian Gods had stood before islamics broke these.)



The first-mentioned 80s book cannot be mistaken for having any sympathy, since it regularly repeats obvious (i.e. admittedly fictional) christian dawaganda folktales in favour of christianism and against Russian religion.



There's nothing particularly "political" about Vladimir's conversion. He was quite hardcore about bashing Russian religion after his conversion, which he wouldn't have been if it had been a merely political move.

Many christianised nations have a Constantine and a Helena, which is even more the rule for the christianised countries of the "western" hemisphere.





Anyway. The above was how Russia was - as admitted, forcibly - converted to christianism. No one pretends it was a voluntary conversion where the populace supposedly "saw the light" of jeebus. It was the usual top-down conversion strategy employed by missionary religions. Two or maybe 2.5 centuries prior and further south, Tibet had been similarly forcibly converted, though to Buddhism. It also happened upon the local monarch marrying some Indian(?) Buddhist(s) who then worked the usual missionary 'magic' on their husband to convert him and thus Tibet became Buddhist. (Repeat: as per Encarta "Buddhism was first introduced into Tibet through the influence of foreign wives of the king, beginning in the 7th century ad.") Thereafter began the periods of serious persecution of the indigenous Bon religion by Buddhism (briefly mentioned in the article reposted here), with Bon severely persecuted into near-extinction. (The same top-down conversion routine had been attempted against many Asian nations, BTW.) Many 'great' Indian Buddhists eagerly invaded Tibet (were invited over by their converted sheep in Tibet) and terrorised the local religion some more. Russia's native religion is no more christian than Tibet's native religion is Buddhist. (If it were, then clearly the "finders keepers law" is what is being appealed to, and then the same people may equally pretend that Tibet belongs to China simply because China took it over. But neither the Tibetan geography nor its native population belong to China.)



It's all the same behaviour by Replacement Theologies. Same tactic employed too: top-down conversion strategy. It's only when that and the subsequent converted-government's enforced violence against the native religion fails (or hasn't yet succeeded), that the Replacement Theologies resort to exclusively lying against their "competition", i.e. dawaganda. Oh and inculturation, encroachment and mangling of native religions.



Christianism like islam is a mono-gawd religion, whereas Buddhism etc are not (have no Gods actually). The similarity does not rest in both being "monotheistic" religions, but rather, of both having the same monotheistic tendency. I.e. both types of religion are missionary - opposite of ethnic - religions: they're self-declared "universal" religions that expect to be universally adopted (or will try whatever means to *get* themselves universally adopted) and thus try to plant themselves everywhere and supplant the native (views of native) religions. That's why Buddhism peddles falshoods about native religions' Gods and when it can't get rid the laity entirely of them, it finally attempts to turn the memories of these Gods into bodhisattvas. Christianism does the same, but tries to turn them in christian saints.

In short, christianism etc and Buddhism etc are Replacement Theologies. They replace ancestral religions. This is why Buddhism is not a "paganism" (and never regarded itself as such), despite Indian self-declared experts on "paganism" going about peddling that Buddhism is a so-called "paganism" alongside Hindus' religion. Hindus' religion is like Daoism and Shinto and GrecoRoman religion. In contrast, Buddhism replaces these. That christianism doesn't accept any of these (the way islam ultimately doesn't accept christianism and other "religions of the book" despite these being equally monotheistic) is merely because there is an internal pecking order between all missionary religions. The most savage and violent wins. Buddhism (and other non-ancestral religions of this kind) is simply not at the top of *that* food-chain. It only ingests paganisms. It gets itself ingested by missionary religions more determined than itself, whereas islam is a giant-killer that will readily devour even christianism where it can.



The 2 plus points to Buddhism in the comparison is that first, in E Asia and non-Indian SE Asia, the Bauddhified laity is more heathen than Buddhist and hence is not belligerent (doesn't plot to convert others) and, many never having been properly converted, can't let go of their own ancestral Gods either. Not that there haven't been repeated attempts to cure them of such ongoing heathenism.... Secondly, Buddha's statements are open to interpretation (the way some Buddhists later made out that he had been a proponent of vegetarianism, whereas earlier Buddhists hadn't attributed such a stance to the Buddha), so the fangs that are seen in the missionaries who are on fire for their new religion are not a necessary part of the religion itself.

It was already in the offing that S India's was going to be a violent conversion to christianism. But I didn't think christians could overtly take the violence as far as they had brazenly done in the NE, because I simply assumed they would again be operating as openly christian terrorist outfits (as the NLFT etc are). I didn't calculate for how they would of course hide behind communist etc labels and thus their efforts wouldn't be internationally recognisable as the "religiously motivated genocide" that it is. Instead of a squeamish response and misidentification of this Liberation theology’s thugees as 'dalit or ultraleftist students' –such a reciprocal iconoclastic response will go a long way persuading Liberation theologians to reconsider their diabolical metaphysics of ultra leftist politics.

US churches are especially famous for funding violence in Africa for the purposes of easier conversions under stress: "look, jeebus will magically bring peace - when we stop funding the war - but only upon your nation's conversion to jeebus".)

War and strife - as seen in the whirlwind of conversions these very things reaped in India's NE after the pure-evil wind that is christianism blew it there - are the means that christianism has found to quickly effect conversion. Much of the NE became christian majority states in record time. None of the sinister bleating about the non-existent jeebus as the alleged prince of peace had ever won converts. The real and only way masses have been won to moron religions is by division and genocide. Christians know it, their gawd inspires them to it.



And then there's the latest Chinese invasion into India that everyone knew was coming "eventually". The crypto christogovt's "response" to the invasion however has but further unmasked the govt's christianism. It's like the ancient Romans noticed how - as IIRC the ex-christian and historian Joseph McCabe had summarised from first-hand sources - christians of the empire were known to be such extreme traitors as colluding with the enemies of Rome and willing/inviting them to attack the empire. Anything to break the empire and force its teeming millions to convert, after all.

And such in-built treachery is also why christians - ever the traitors of ancestral populations and nations that are still heathen in identity - are funding the jihad with millions and millions of dollars. They MUST make the nation for christ and will (easily and most willingly) commit genocide to make it happen. Like they've already been doing in the NE.

Two US sailors Tuesday admitted raping a Japanese woman in Okinawa last October, news reports said, in a case that generated huge anti-American anger on the strategically vital island.



Skyler Dozierwalker, 23, and Christopher Browning, 24, attacked the woman in central Okinawa during a brief trip to the semi-tropical island chain.



Dozierwalker told Naha District Court he committed the crime, while Browning also admitted the charges but denied having conspired with the petty officer in advance, Jiji Press and Kyodo News said.





Okinawa is the reluctant host of more than half of the 47,000 US military personnel in Japan. The rape provoked outrage and led to a nationwide curfew on all American military personnel in Japan.



Despite the curfew, misconduct involving US servicemen, much of it drunken, has continued to fuel anti-US sentiment in communities with bases.



The attack came amid already high tensions in Okinawa, which saw demonstrations last year against the US deployment to the island of Osprey aircraft.



Local activists charge they have a poor safety record.



In 1995 the gang rape of a 12-year-old Okinawan girl by US servicemen sparked mass protests resulting in a US-Japan agreement to reduce the huge US military presence on the Okinawan chain.

The US ambassador to the Philippines has revealed that 40 per cent of male tourists visit the country for the local prostitutes.





Ambassador Harry Thomas last month made the claims at a forum of Filipino judges and officials. He also accused the country's officials of being corrupt and highlighted karaoke bars and clubs along Roxas Boulevard, one of the main roads in the country's capital Manila, as sex establishments.



"That is not something I'm proud of. That's not something you should be proud of," Thomas continued in reference to a percentage of sex tourists being American.



On the back of a local outcry, Thomas has since [color="#FF0000"]apologised[/color] for his claims, which officials believe portrayed the country as nothing more than a sex haven, further tarnishing the country's already fragile image.



Thomas fired off a text message outlining his regret to a Philippine minster, stating his comments were unfounded, which was then forwarded on to journalists.



Earlier, Justice Secretary Leila de Lima wrote to Thomas seeking data to back up his remarks after the ambassador said the Justice Department was the source of his information.



Thomas made the claims at a conference on human trafficking, where he urged authorities to prosecute all foreign sex tourists.



It's bad timing for the Philippines, a country which is desperately trying to revive its ailing tourism industry.

IN CONSERVATIVE Asia, Taiwan has given the warmest embrace to gays and lesbians. Before he became president in 2008, Ma Ying-jeou was mayor of Taipei, the capital. He boasts that he made it the most gay-friendly city in Asia, even devoting a portion of the municipal budget to homosexual causes. Taiwan routinely holds Asia’s largest gay-pride march; the latest one, in October, attracted over 60,000 people. Recently a bill allowing same-sex marriage and married gay couples to adopt children passed its first reading in the island’s legislature.



But it has put the country’s liberal tendencies to the test. A survey conducted by TVBS, a broadcaster, suggests that 40% of Taiwanese are in favour of the same-sex marriage bill and 45% against. On November 30th over 150,000 Taiwanese rallied to show their opposition. The crowds waved pink and blue placards depicting a nuclear family. They voiced concerns about the decline of traditional family structures. Children could become confused about their gender, marchers claimed. It would only reinforce the long-run decline in the fertility rate.

(The TVBS figure is wrong, as seen in the comments and a blog's extracts below. The majority is in favour, a relative minority - predominantly christian - is against.)



Supporters of gay marriage said the large turnout was thanks to conservative Christians, a small but outspoken minority. But rally organisers (read christians) said Christians formed only a part. Several lawmakers from Mr Ma’s ruling party, the Kuomintang, attended.

It is unclear whether the bill will now pass, but Victoria Hsu, head of the Taiwan Alliance to Promote Civil Partnership Rights, which pushed for it, is optimistic. The mass turnout against it will galvanise those who are for, a group that includes many students and academics.

Opponents are demanding a referendum, should the bill eventually pass. This might worry China. It claims Taiwan as its own and frowns on referendums, which smack of self-determination, even more than it frowns on gays. Mr Ma, famous for his caution, will be torn over whether to please the pros or the antis.

Good on Taiwan for even proposing this legislation. Shows how wrong I am about conservative East Asian attitudes. I think a referendum would be a great idea. Win or lose, it shows courage to test the country's opinion on such topics.

I don't know why people think conservative E Asians would be conservative in a christo-sense: conservative E Asians are pro-suicide for instance. E Asia is conservative in a heathen sense by nature.

That figure of 150 000 people in attendance is also being contested by people on the ground, as the links posted in some of the comments show. More conservative estimates are 10-20 000 people.

A different angle for this article would have been to ask why was it that the "security service" (complete with red arm band, face mask, and white hat) felt it had the right to restrain and manhandle the people it saw as against their ideas and interests (like journalists). It is leading to a flurry of legal cases around the country as we speak.

In my opinion (and I live here) this march amounted to Christian groups seizing an opportunity to thrust themselves into the limelight and feel relevant to social policy for a change.

Normally, religion is a non-issue in Taiwan and the only religious groups that ever get to feel socially influential are Buddhist groups like Tsu Chi (an enormous social welfare NGO that runs hospitals and relief efforts), or fringe cults that frequently make the news for various, often perverse, reasons.

The truth is, in my opinion, most Taiwanese would be fine with a same-sex marriage law if they were well-informed on the reasoning behind it. I expect a counter-demonstration will soon emerge with a much greater turnout.

The march is lack of credibility. As far as I know, many of the participants are very young, and some of them said they attended the march to get the volunteer credits from their high schools or middle schools. Who made the participation a volunteer credit? The conservative teachers. Another motivation is homophobia. A young man who attended that march wore Nazi military uniform there. He said, "I hate gay people, so as the Nazis." His provoking behavior has already won him the attention from the Israeli ambassador. (Oh look, a christian who is a nazi. Like every other nazi was a christian. The only difference is this is a Taiwanese christian=nazi, as opposed to a christian German/Slovakian/Italian/Croatian nazi/fascist.)

First, most of the polls on same-sex marriage conducted in the last couple of months in Taiwan showed that the majority of Taiwanese are actually in favour of the bill. In fact, an overwhelming 70-80% of people in their 20s and in their 30s supports same-sex marriage, including adoption rights for same-sex couples. I'm not sure why this article ignores these facts.

Second, Christians (all denominations) consist of less than 5% of the population but most have always taken the most conservative stance on these issues and have always been very outspoken. The churches and related organizations and businesses in fact spent a huge amount of money this time to mobilize lots of resources to oppose the bill. There have been reports that Christian teachers distributed petitions to their students, most of whom non-Christian and asked (forced) their students to attend the protest. As a result, even though the protest received a lot of coverage in the media, it does not reflect what the majority of people in Taiwan think on this issue.

Third, I'm not sure why the article has to mention China at the end. Even if there's ever a referendum on this issue, I doubt China will care that much about this one in particular, out of all the other national and regional elections that have been held in Taiwan in the past.

Indeed, there are plenty of documents and related stories you can reach online that point out the forcing/deceiving behavior done by Christian teachers to their students. Please exercise your finger and Google. The teachers distributed flyers of twisted statement, which claims the same-sex marriage bill will legalize polygamy and even zoophilia. The statement, obviously, isn't true. It was not only spread in schools, but also in offices of various businesses. Many of my friends have gotten it. (I personally haven't, since I work in the US.)

Now, the conservative church members are proclaiming themselves as the "disadvantaged majority," and urging the government to "protect their rights." Although I can't see any harm to the straight marriage rights in the bill.

The last, FYI, quoting the survey of TVBS could be a bad idea. The majority of TVBS' audience is the ruling party KMT supporters, which means, they may take the voice from a biased group sourcing. In fact, some people in Taiwan mock the broadcaster as "TVBullShit."

The poll from TVBS actually is the most underestimated poll in Taiwan. Currently all the other poll results conducted by other social group/media/researchers have showed more than 50% of Taiwanese now support gay marriage.

What I was trying to say is the survey result from TVBS is absolutely an underestimate...... Even Apollo survey from China Times - one of the most China-favoring media in Taiwan - showed 56.2% of Taiwanese think gay marriage should be legalized. The report published by Academia Sinica also revealed that 52.5% of Taiwanese people think gay couple should also have the right to get married just like heterosexual couples.

Not all the protesters who participated at the event were Nazis, of course, but a great many of them were Christians. Even though organizers had called upon their followers to avoid showing any sign that would identity them as members of the Church, the choice of songs left little doubt about their affiliations.

Interestingly, in my more than seven years working as a journalist in Taiwan, this was the first time that civilians approached me and told me I was not allowed to take pictures. (That's because the "civilians" in this case were christians. Everyone else's rights come to an end when christians have power, after all. As seen in India's theocratic christist-majority Northeast.)



The site of the protest on Ketagalan Boulevard, they told us as we approached, was a “closed area.” Only after I insisted that I was a journalist, and Ketty told them she was an academic here to study social movements in Taiwan, were we allowed to enter the site. All “security” staff wore special red armbands. There were several hundreds of them, and they kept close tabs on whoever walked around, in a manner that was reminiscent of, but that surpassed in its aggressiveness, the staff of Citizen 1985 who got on my nerves when I tried to cover their protests. Sometimes they would ask people who approached whether they were “for” or “against” same-sex marriage. Those who answered that they were for were barred access. So much for dialogue...



This was also one of the rare times when civilians arrogated upon themselves rights and duties that are normally the remit of law-enforcement officers. Groups of protesters repeatedly locked arms, encircled, and blocked people who carried placards supporting gay marriage (see videos here and here and here). Not even the betel nut-chewing thugs hired by the German wind power firm InfraVest to protest their sites in Yuanli, Miaoli County, were this bad. On many occasions, they also prevented me from walking around freely and left me little choice but to collide with them. More than once I asked what right they had to prevent people from moving freely in a public space. I never received an answer.



At one point, two men locked arms around a young man who had fallen to the ground while they were pursuing him. I got on my knees next to him and snapped pictures, as several dozens of protesters with their pink placards and banners looked on. They nearly suffocated the poor thing, so closely were they holding him. I looked up and saw a group of Southeast Asian women praying out loud, their arms extended towards the young man. I went over and asked them what they were doing. “We are praying,” one of them said. This much I could tell. “Are you praying so that you will heal him?” I asked, echoing a belief, held by many religious people, that somehow homosexuality is a disease that can be healed. “Why are you asking?” one of them replied with palpable contempt. 'Thy Kingdom Come' . That's how Mizoram welcomes you. Painted big and bold across a giant Cross a few yards from the runway at state capital Aizwal's Lengpui airport, the message seems ominous as you get familiar with the political nitty-gritty of this Christian-dominated state.



The election process has a sense of divine edict about it. The Church pushed the Election Commission to reschedule polling and counting dates to accommodate the Presbyterian Church's fiveday Synod despite chief electoral officer Ashwani Kumar's protests; counting was postponed by a day to December 9 because 'Sunday is meant for prayers'. Not just that, the clergy also plays virtual election commission. The Church has issued a four-page list of do's and don'ts for voters and candidates. Apart from the honesty and harmony bits, it says: "Refrain from voting for those who drink or have extra-marital sex." With almost 70% of Mizoram following the Presbyterian Church, no party rubs them the wrong way.



Dr Robert Halliday, secretary of Mizoram Presbyterian Church, says: "Mizoram's common people are pious, they'll abide by any Church guideline. We can only urge them to lead a moral life. We don't want to interfere with the election, rather we want to facilitate the process."

Mizoram People's Forum, a Church-sponsored watchdog formed in 2006, has signed a 27-point 'MoU' with major political parties, including the ruling Congress and BJP, to ensure a 'free and fair' election. Apart from curbs on lavish campaigning, the charter prohibits tall promises in manifesto , bans public meetings and protest rallies and tells parties not to organize vehicles to drop voters to polling booths. Hinting at Rahul and Sonia Gandhi's visit later this month, MPF general secretary Lalramthanga said: "Rules won't be relaxed for star campaigners of national parties. MPF will conduct the public meetings permitted by the Mizoram Pradesh Congress Committee."



No party defies the diktats. If they do, the MPF would "invalid the party (sic)," says the MoU. "Constituencies here are small — 15,000 to 20,000 — each vote counts. No politician can afford to ignore the Church's guidelines ," says CEO Kumar.



Insisting the EC, MPF and the Church share a common goal — free and fair elections — Kumar explains: "In Mizoram, the Church is older than the government . The state was formed in 1986 after the Church facilitated the peace process. Until recently, they looked after the people's education and healthcare. The Church isn't just a religious institution here, it's a way of life, the centre of social activities."

Two persons, with two gelatine sticks, riding a scooter near the place of occurence were arrested.



A third bomb exploded near Raj Bhavan here with the police arresting one suspect.



Chief Electoral Officer Lalmalsawma said security had been stepped up in Tuipuibari and Kanhmun where 10 and seven special polling booths respectively were set up for 4,266 Bru voters to exercise their franchise.



Large-scale conversions triggered a [color="#FF0000"]systematic ethnic cleansing campaign sponsored by the Church[/color] which lead to migration of Reangs and Brus from Mizoram to Tripura and Assam, who have since been languishing in different make-shift camps and demanding safe return and rehabilitation to their ancestral homeland.

There are now 45,000 refugees in the two states - about 36,000 in Tripura and another 9,000 in Assam. Sixteen-year old Maniram Reang, sheltered in a refugee camp in North Tripura, said, "Our condition is like that of animals here," adding "We do not know what crime we have done to live away from our motherland in such terrible conditions in refugee camps."

On November 20, Mizoram, goes to the polls and Chief Minister Pu Zoramthanga of the Mizo National Front will seek to return to power. Most Indians know very little about Mizoram. In the 1960s, the Mizos attempted to carve out a separate nation. Finally, under Rajiv Gandhi, protracted negotiations in various parts of the world followed and an agreement was reached. Mizo National Front leader Lal Denga was brought back from his exile in France to take over the reins of the State in 1986.



Today, Mizoram is peaceful. Yet one still finds an undercurrent of anti-Indianness in this lovely little State, where the 95 percent Christian majority has ethnically cleansed out the five percent Hindu Rheang minority for their refusal to convert to Christianity.

When Kiran Bedi was posted there, she discovered that not only was it a haven for drugs and that it had a very high incidence of AIDS, but also that Mizos often do not consider themselves as Indians, whom they call 'Vais' (foreigners). In fact, she and her daughter Saina had to literally flee Mizoram, as the Mizo students had started a violent agitation against mother and daughter.



What are the roots for this hostility to India? No doubt, the Central Government has often shown its inability to foresee insurgency in the North-East, and its shabby and motherly treatment of the tribal population of the North East is well known. But does that explain everything? Mizoram was opened more than a century ago to the missionaries by the British.

[color="#0000FF"]Koenraad Elst, a Belgium scholar and historian, writes that the missionaries were ultimately all set to trigger a Christian partition in India at the time of Independence: "Christian mission centres had dreamed up a plan for a Christian partition in collaboration with the Muslim League. The far north-east, Chotanagur and parts of Kerala were to become Christian states, forming a non-Hindu chain with the Nizam's Hyderabad and with Pakistani Bengal. The secret agreement between the Muslim League and missionaries acting as "representatives of tribal interest," was sometimes used in Muslim propaganda, as proof that "Muslims and tribals are natural allies".[/color]

Sadly for the Christians, Sardar Patel foiled their plans. Even after Independence, the missionaries seem to have been involved in secessionist activities in India's north-east, as well as on the Burmese side of the border. Always pretending to act as mediators, they appear to have actually helped the separatists with vital informations. Since then, they have been dictating policies in Nagaland, Megalaya and Mizoram, which recently celebrated with great fanfare its century of Christian rule.

Many reports have come of how Church congregations use harassment, ostracism and other forms of force to increase their flock. Non-converted portions of a family land into disputes with neo-Christian portions over funeral customs, ownership of land and other matters and this result in clashes between groups which newspapers promptly label as anti-Christian acts, whereas these are often clashes between converted and non-converted tribals.



Look at the history of the North-East after missionaries were allowed in. In Tripura, for example, the tribals constitute 30 percent of the State population, and 10 percent of this group had been converted to Christianity by 1991. These Christianised tribals are trying to convert the Hindu tribals forcibly to Christianity often getting the help of the National Liberation Front of Tripura � NLFT.



The forcible conversions are accompanied by murders of Hindu priests in the area, forcible bans on Hindu festivities, abductions and killings. The Church's links with NLFT are acknowledged even by the State's chief minister. Church-supported insurgency is endemic in the Christian-dominated hilly areas of Manipur, and now the illegal Muslim immigrants from Bangladesh have joined hands with Christian insurgents to ethnically cleanse the Hindu minority from parts of that State. | Also read: Mizos have had enough of Cong: Pu Lalduhawma |



The increasing marginalisation of the Hindu minority in Christian-dominated Meghalaya has been recognised by the National Minorities Commission of India. Meghalaya has now become an epicentre for the growing Islamic fundamentalism in the region, by virtue of the State's proximity with Bangladesh. Pragjyotisha encompassed much of present day Assam, and large parts of Arunachal Pradesh and other northeastern states of India. A Hindu religious pilgrimage centre � the Parsurama Kunda, is also located in southern Arunachal Pradesh. M K Narayanan ('Footprints of the ISI in the North-East' in 'The Deccan Chronicle') notes: that "Meghalaya is today the nerve-centre of activities of several militant outfits in the region, apart from having its own homegrown militant outfits. Arunachal Pradesh has begun to emerge as a problem area. The crumbling edifice of law and order in a highly sensitive region is beginning to have a deleterious impact on the polity."

A five star brothel business in Italy, which is being run by a young Malayali priest associated with a diocese of Kottayam has been exposed by online malayalam news websites. The priest has been recruiting young women from localities like Ettumanur, Kaduthurutthi, Karimkunnam, Uzhavoor and Kaippuzha. The women were from financially backward families whom he came in contact at his capacity as the priest with the church. They were recruited offering jobs as home nurses abroad. The agents linked to the priest used to charge huge sums ranging from Rs 2 lakhs to 10 lakhs from their victims for processing their documents arranging for their visas.



It is being reported that, the priest has a wide network back home which includes nuns, priests and local politicians who work for him for good returns as commission. The visitors to Italy from different dioceses in Kerala and politicians who go for occasional visits were his guests.



One such woman who ended up there couple of months back became instrumental in exposing this unholy business. She refused to work with them and raised an alert, after which she was given employment in another firm and her family was silenced by paying a bribe of Rs 2 lakhs.



It is assumed that the priest pays hefty contributions to the church establishments and politicians back home, because of which the church authorities and even the government are reluctant to take any actions against this priest.

Whenever a Gut, or shamanistic ritual, was held, government officials ordered that the ritual must cease. Additionally, officials destroyed holy trees, totem poles, and cairns and illegalized all forms of shamanistic rituals. Shamans were forced to vow that they had to give up their religion.



In response, many people held private Gut rituals. However, the government said that Guts were an inconvenience to the neighbours, and imprisoned shamans who had participated in private Guts.

However, the movement sometimes unified the sentiments of the villagers. In some villages, the villagers, led by the oldest man in the village, picketed around the holy places to protect them. The holy places in such villages were saved. Meanwhile, other villages restored the destroyed or damaged holy places.[2]

A "serpent-handling" West Virginia pastor died after his rattlesnake bit him during a church ritual, just as the man had apparently watched a snake kill his father years before.



Pentecostal pastor Mark Wolford, 44, hosted an outdoor service at the Panther Wildlife Management Area in West Virginia Sunday, which he touted on his Facebook page prior to the event.



"I am looking for a great time this Sunday," Wolford wrote May 22, according to the Washington Post. "It is going to be a homecoming like the old days. Good 'ole raised in the holler or mountain ridge running, Holy Ghost-filled speaking-in-tongues sign believers."



Robin Vanover, Wolford's sister, told the Washington Post that 30 minutes into the outdoor service, Wolford passed around a poisonous timber rattlesnake, which eventually bit him.



"He laid it on the ground," Vanover said in the interview, "and he sat down next to the snake, and it bit him on the thigh."



Vanover said Wolford was then transported to a family member's home in Bluefield about 80 miles away to recover. But as the situation worsened, he was taken to a hospital where he later died.



Jim Shires, owner of the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluefield, told ABC News that Wolford died Monday. Wolford's church, the Apostolic House of the Lord Jesus in Matoaka, will host a viewing Friday and a funeral service Saturday morning. Wolford will be buried at the Hicks Family Plot in Phelps, Ky.



Officials at the Panther Wildlife Management Area had been unaware of Sunday's event until they were notified by callers after the service.



"We did not know that this event was happening, and if we had known about it or if we had been asked for permission, permission would not have been granted," Hoy Murphy, public information officer for the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources, told ABC News.



Hoy said West Virginia state park rules prohibit animals other than dogs and cats on the property.



While snake-handling is legal in West Virginia, other Appalachian states, including Kentucky and Tennessee, have banned the practice in public spaces.



Snake-handlers point to scripture as evidence that God calls them to engage in such a practice to show their faith in him. Mark 16: 17-18 reads, "And these signs shall follow them that believe: In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues. They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover."



Wolford told the Washington Post magazine in 2011 that he is carrying on the tradition of his ancestors by engaging in snake handling.



"Anybody can do it that believes it," Wolford said. "Jesus said, 'These signs shall follow them which believe.' This is a sign to show people that God has the power."



Wolford said watched his own father die at the age of 39 after a rattlesnake bit him during a similar service.



"He lived 101/2 hours," Wolford told the Washington Post Magazine. "When he got bit, he said he wanted to die in the church. Three hours after he was bitten, his kidneys shut down. After a while, your heart stops. I hated to see him go, but he died for what he believed in.



"I know it's real; it is the power of God," Wolford told the Washington Post Magazine last year. "If I didn't do it, if I'd never gotten back involved, it'd be the same as denying the power and saying it was not real."

Snake Salvation pastor dies from snake bite

Jamie Coots refused to accept treatment following the rattlesnake bite



A snake-handling pastor who appeared on US TV show Snake Salvation has died after being bitten by a rattlesnake.



Jamie Coots was holding the snake at his church in Middlesboro, Kentucky, when he was bitten on the hand, according to fellow preacher Cody Winn.



The Middlesboro Police Department said Coots refused to have medical treatment for the bite.



Coots said last year that he needed the snakes for religious reasons, citing a Bible passage in Mark's gospel.



The handlers' religious conviction is based on a passage in Mark's gospel which reads: "They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover."



National Geographic said in a statement that it was struck by Coots' "devout religious convictions despite the health and legal peril he often faced".

A police statement said that when an ambulance arrived at the Full Gospel Tabernacle in Jesus Name church on Saturday evening, staff were told Coots had gone home.



Coots was contacted at his house but refused to have any treatment. Emergency workers returned later in the evening, by which time Coots had died.



Mr Winn said that after the bite in church, Coots dropped the snake but then picked it up again.



"He had one of the rattlers in his hand," he told a local news station. "It just turned its head and bit him in the back of the hand... within a second."



Coots' son, also named Cody, said his father had been bitten eight times before but had never had such a severe reaction. He said the family thought he would recover as he had on previous occasions.



"We're going to go home, he's going to lay on the couch. He's going to hurt. He's going to pray for a while and he's going to get better," Cody Coots said.



"That's what happened every other time, except this time was just so quick and it was crazy."



Last year Jamie Coots was caught transporting three rattlesnakes and two copperheads through Knoxville, Tennessee. The snakes were confiscated.



Coots subsequently pleaded guilty to illegal wildlife possession and was given one year of unsupervised probation.



In 1995 28-year-old Melinda Brown, of Parrottsville, Tennessee, died after being bitten by a timber rattlesnake at Coots' church.

In a recent blog, the leftist Indian journalist Sagarika Ghose traces the origin of the caste system to a verse in the Puruṣa Sūkta and makes an appeal to publicly re-write the hymn, which she claims is fundamentally unjust. Her understanding of the hymn is incorrect and her assertion no more than a repeat of the 19th century Christian propaganda. However, I am not going to defend the hymn or explain its correct meaning in this article. But I will mention that only a scientifically ignorant person would continue to think that some scripture created the caste system. So, it is not necessary to refute Ghose’s claims in further detail.



Instead, I am going to agree with her that if a religious text is unjust or intolerant, it should be rewritten or even abandoned. In light of this, I am going to evaluate a few Christian teachings in the Bible to argue that they are unjust.



The New Testament calls the Jews “Christ-killers,” “children of the Devil,” “brood of vipers,” etc. Many of these anti-Semitic phrases were uttered by Jesus himself (e.g., Matthew 3:7). Norman Beck, a distinguished academic and Lutheran theologian, demonstrates that the New Testament contains over 450 anti-Semitic remarks [1] — thus making the Bible the most comprehensive hate-filled anti-Semitic scripture in the world. As Richard Dawkins points out, Martin Luther and Hitler were inspired by Jesus when they too called the Jews a “brood of vipers [2].” The Nobel Prize winner Elie Wiesel has shown that the Nazi system was the consequence of the Christian tradition and teachings and was inseparable from it [3].

I notice Hindus have not yet translated it into any native language. At the minimum, this alone would require rewriting over 450 verses of the Bible as they have been unjust when seen from the perspective of a Jew or any civilized person. But rewriting 450 verses would be a welcome start.

So, one may consider giving Jesus a makeover. ‘Botox for Jesus’ could be a worthy creative pursuit.[/color]

The New Testament urges Christians to wait for the Second Coming of Jesus. On this occasion, the cosmic Jesus would return to earth and judge everyone. Non-believers would be tortured for a period of five months on earth (Revelation 9:4-5) before they are butchered and put on the hell-bound cargo postmortem. Let us rewrite this verse as it advocates the genocide of non-believers. It also portrays Jesus as a stereotypical proto-Middle Eastern terrorist. So, ‘Botox for Jesus’ is no longer just a creative pursuit. It has now become a necessity.



In my forthcoming book, [color="#FF0000"]What Every Hindu Should Know About Christianity[/color], I decisively argue that the teachings of Christianity are entirely immoral. Therefore, I am skeptical that a rewrite could transform The Bible and Jesus into anything desirable than a rewrite could render the Mein Kampf and Hitler desirable. [color="#800080"](Exactly. In the meanwhile, let us thank Sagarika Ghose for triggering this important project. I never thought that support for such an initiative would come from the leftists. I have always thought of them as the minions of western imperialists and Islamists. I am counting on Ghose’s support to rewrite The Bible and the ‘Botox for Jesus’ initiative in the spirit of free speech and justice. I shouldn’t be overly optimistic though. The writer Arvind Kumar points out that another leftist colleague of Ghose, Siddharth Varadarajan advocates suppression of any criticism of Islam but encourages free speech to abuse Hinduism. So, let me cautiously hope that Ghose’s advocacy to rewrite religious texts is not directed at Hinduism only. In an era where petro-dollars and imperial missionary funding determines leftist posturing in the media, caution must underline optimism.



Shall we launch ‘Project Sagarika Ghose’ so that she gets due credit for triggering this important initiative? Ghose might be busy rewriting the Puruṣa Sūkta. So, others may embark on rewriting The Bible and The Quran under the project that is named in her honor.

On the parable of Jesus forgiving the adulteress, Prof. Bart Ehrman has conclusively shown that it is a later day interpolation (see Misquoting Jesus – The Story Behind Who Changed the Bible and Why, pp. 63-65). Jesus, on the other hand, equates a divorced woman to an adulteress and urges his followers to shun her elsewhere in the Bible. Sometime in the third century, a pagan convert convert who was probably embarrassed by the immoral stances of Jesus inserted such parables to give the proto-Middle Eastern terrorist a makeover. I discuss these episodes extensively in my book.

The book discusses how proto-orthodox scribes of the 2nd and 3rd centuries occasionally altered their sacred texts for polemical reasons. For example, to oppose:

* The Ebionites, who claimed that Christ was a man but not God

* The Docetists like Marcion, who claimed that Jesus was God but not a man

* The Ptolemaean Gnostics, who claimed that Jesus was two beings, one divine and one human

The authors' analyses paint the social and intellectual history of early Christianity, where scribes lived in an age when they could alter the documents they were copying to make the texts say what they were thought to mean. In this way, they caused the orthodox corruption of Scripture, showing that the victors not only wrote the history, but also reproduced the texts.

But won't get my hopes up that Indians will "this time at least/at last (too late)" learn anything in sufficient numbers let alone act as required.

Hindus' window of opportunity for Hindoodom to survive passed when the gangrene (of self/de-heathenisation and even self-mangling of their heathenism) set in to such a level as to be (IMO) beyond the remedy of even amputation.

Maybe the nightfall is inevitable and just the natural outcome of things. It was observed by activists of HJS that a picture of Jesus was displayed in Hindu temple. They discussed the matter with manager of the temple; but he flatly refused to remove the picture. UN evacuates 100 Muslims from CAR

Supported by staff from the UN's refugee agency, 93 Muslims were transported east from Bangui to the town of Bambari, says El Hadj Abacar ben Ousmane, senior official in the town about 300km from the capital.

The Muslim group travelled to Bambari from Sunday through to Monday in two trucks, accompanied by a convoy of vehicles from the French peacekeeping force Sangaris, the UNHCR refugee agency and the International Organisation for Migration.



The convoy was pelted with stones as it passed through the town of Sibut, a member of the African-led MISCA peacekeeping force told AFP.

In Bambari, a Christian-majority town of 45,000 people, El Hadj Abacar ben Ousmane said Muslims and Christians could live in "harmony".



"We would have no objection to welcoming others," he said. "We have no problems with each other."



The Central African Republic, one of the poorest countries in the world, plunged into a crisis after a coup by the mostly Muslim Seleka rebels in March last year.



After seizing power, some rebels went rogue and embarked on a campaign of killing, raping and looting.

My thoughts and concern are naturally with any remaining native heathens of CAR, who may feel threatened by the time-bomb that is christo-islamania from having gone off. The Pope's visit to S Korea sees the beatification of yet another 124 "martyrs" (pope John Paul II -was it- had granted Korea the largest number of saints or martyrs or something already). And - as AFP admits - the pope is threatening conversion of Asia yet again, reminding the sheep not to slacken their efforts.



Not only that, the pope's pretending that the church (and the catholic church, of all impossible things) promotes frugalism and non-materialism. All in order to appeal to heathen Asians, since heathen Asians are some of the last remaining frugal and non-materialist people left on the planet.

Pope Francis warned on Friday (15/08/2014) of a “cancer” of despair in materially obsessed, outwardly affluent societies and urged South Korean Catholics to reject “inhumane economic models” in a stark message to wealthier Asian nations.



In an apparent reference to South Korea’s high suicide rate he also warned 45,000 people at a mass in a World Cup stadium in Daejeon of the “culture of death” that can pervade countries where the quest for rapid growth marginalises the poor and vulnerable.





The message, delivered on the first papal visit to the region in 15 years, was designed to resonate not just with South Koreans, but in other dynamic Asian economies where many are beginning to question the social consequences of rapid growth and rampant consumerism.

The pope’s visit to South Korea is very much aimed at fuelling a new era of growth for the Catholic church in Asia, and his address at the youth event carried a clear evangelical message.



God, he said, “is asking you to go out on the highways and byways of this world, knocking on the doors of other people’s hearts, inviting them to welcome him into their lives.”



Although the Church is making some spectacular gains in Asia, Catholics still only account for 3.2 percent of the continent’s population.



But expansion faces tough challenges, especially in China which prohibits its Catholics from recognising the Vatican’s authority.

The pope's visit has generated enormous public excitement in a country with a thriving Catholic community that punches well above its minority weight in one of Christianity's most muscular Asian strongholds.



In the last national census to include religious affiliation, conducted in 2005, close to 30 percent of South Koreans identified themselves as Christian, compared to 23 percent who cited the once-dominant Buddhism.



The majority are Protestants, but Catholics are the fastest-growing group, with around 5.3 million adherents -- just over 10 percent of the population.





The pope's visit is very much aimed at fuelling a new era of growth for the Catholic church in Asia and Francis will get a chance to send a message to the region later Friday when he meets several thousand young Catholics gathered in Daejeon for Asian Youth Day.
