‘Pakistan has lost war against terrorism’ : Imran

LAHORE : Chief of Tehreek-e-Insaf, Imran Khan Wednesday said Pakistan will have to abandon the U.S. policy for the ‘so-called’ war on terror and devise its own.

Addressing a press conference here, Imran Khan said; “It is clear from the way Pakistan is pursuing the war against terrorism that it is heading towards self-destruction.”

He said the conspiracies to undermine Pakistan have gained strength and the enemies of Pakistan are now after ISI.

TI Chief asked the Prime Minister, President and the Army Chief as to how this ongoing war would be brought to an end. “Actually Pakistan has already lost this war,” he added.

He said this war can only be won through winning people’s hearts and minds.

Fake Dollars

By Muhim Iqbal Khan

When the real value of these fake dollars is revealed to whole world, America will see only darkness everywhere as it bears the heavy expense of spreading its military forces all over the world.

Pakistan - Ausaf - Original Article (Urdu)

In order to understand how Zionists have fooled the whole world with their trickery, keep in mind that for last few decades America has been the hub of their activities. England, previously their haven, is still under their control, just like the other European countries. The Zionists made England their economic slave with the establishment of Bank of England, and trapped America in their clutches from the first day of their freedom. They now have everything in the U.S. under their control, including education, trade and commerce, banking and Media Theater (known as “showbiz”).

Despite their small numbers, the Zionists are bending America and Europe according to their own desires and wishes because of their superiority in planning and resources. With the help of these countries and some of their established organizations like UNO, IMF, WTO and the World Bank, etc., they are earning billions of dollars and shedding the blood of all mankind through the wars they created, which are now running their weapons industry.

The purpose of this article is to unveil the hidden Zionist economic fraud. For the first time in 1971, America completely disregarded the universal principle of holding bullion reserves before printing paper currency. In spite of this requirement, America printed many more dollars than it had reserves and then spent the money. The billions of dollars printed under this new policy were basically nothing more than bits of paper. The whole world was cheated into using these pieces of paper, and thus the world’s economy was damaged. When France learned about this fraud, it demanded that America convert the dollars it held into bullion. America, however, rejected France’s demand since it did not have huge bullion reserves; the U.S. had spent its reserves all over the world. It should be noted that if this had happened with any country other than America, that country would have been immediately declared bankrupt.

To hide its great economic fraud and financial scandal, America immediately approached Saudi Arabia and made a deal in which it was decided that Saudi Arabia (and OPEC) would connect their oil exports with U.S. dollars. In other words, the oil-purchasing countries of the world could only buy oil in exchange for dollars, which were merely the product of printing presses - worth nothing at all. In a practical sense, the oil which America has been purchasing for four decades has been totally free of cost. This exchange has been tolerated by the other countries of the world, making them voluntary and foolish accomplices to America’s theft of trillions of dollars.

Sensing this fraud by America and the Zionists, Saddam Hussein completely rejected it and began selling oil in exchange for euros. He openly dared to finish the American free-for-all, which was obviously not well received by the Zionists. Finally, they planted a fake story about Saddam Hussein stocking “weapons of mass destruction” and not only was Saddam Hussein killed, but Iraqi oil reserves were directly occupied. Later, a dummy ruler Hamid Karzai was appointed in Afghanistan. The readers are aware of the rest of the story.

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez also started cursing U.S. dollars and started to sell its petrol in all currencies other than U.S. dollars, which caused many assassination attempts on his life. After investigation, the attacks made on Hugo Chavez were linked to the CIA. Iranian President Ahmadinejad had been waiting for an opportunity to give the “Great Satan” (America) a powerful kick, so he also dared to sell oil in currencies other than U.S. dollars and turned the idols of American pride and conceit into dust.

The natural and logical end of this shell game is not far away, because now that the prudent nations of the world are aware of the Zionists’ crookedness and wicked economic fraud, the members of OPEC will be compelled to stop the connecting the sale of oil with U.S. dollars.

The worst news for America is that after being made aware of the real value of their dollars, the Americans will be compelled to purchase oil with euros or another currency besides dollars, and the American people will witness the nightmare of their economy sinking completely.

When the real value of these fake dollars is revealed to whole world, America will see only darkness everywhere as it bears the heavy expense of spreading its military forces all over the world. The American intellectuals will have no solution for this. Their Jewish masters, however, will want to make them commit the mistake of initiating the world’s worst war (or the world’s last war) to destroy the Islamic world, including Pakistan, using American atomic weapons. This would fulfill Israel’s long-awaited dream of establishing Greater Israel and making it the world’s headquarters, ruling over the whole planet. However, nobody knows the Wisest Ruler’s plan, and that which Allah has decided will happen no matter what.

The Use of Term ‘Afpak’ in American Circles
By Prof. Muhyuddin
Translated By Mohammed Abuhuraira Akrami

Pakistan - Ausaf - Original Article (Urdu)
[Note: The Balochistan Province of Pakistan borders both Balochistan-Sistan Province in Iran, and Afghanistan, with familial ties historically transcending these borders.]
We have been hearing the term, “Afpak”, used recently in U.S. circles, referring to a combination of Afghanistan and Pakistan. Pakistan and Afghanistan are separate countries, with separate realities; however, use of the term, “Afpak”, implies that the U.S. has begun to think of the two countries as one, sharing a common land. We oppose the use of this term.

It is true that some Afghani tribes live on both sides of the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan. Family members cross borders, from Afghanistan to Pakistan and from Pakistan to Afghanistan, to visit and perhaps help relatives, traditions rooted in history.

Richard Holbrook is the U.S. special envoy for Pakistan and Afghanistan. A new U.S. policy, regarding Afghanistan, is under consideration. We need to prepare for headaches from this new U.S. Afghanistan policy; it will demand that, for drone strikes to end, Pakistan must take actions against the colonies living around:

• FATA [The Federally Administered Tribal Areas, areas outside the four provinces, bordering Afghanistan, comprising a region of some 27220 km²] and

• Quetta [provincial capital of Balochistan, which borders Afghanistan and Iran]

Emulating U.S. style, Britain and Germany have also appointed special representatives for Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Currently, the U.S. is calling for support for the initiation of bilateral talks with moderate elements of the Taliban, and President Barack Obama is offering an olive branch to Iran. Although Pakistan has yet to hear of complaints from Iran, Iran is offering complaints about the Jindullah [an insurgent Sunni Islamic organization] within the Pakistani border. And who is backing Jindullah? The finger points to the U.S., because of its agenda regarding Pakistani and Iranian Balochistan.

Some time ago, UN representative [stationed in Quetta], John Solecki, was kidnapped by the Balochistan Liberation United Front (BLUF). Although the Balochistan Liberation Army, itself, is very old, this organization, the BLUF, is completely new, first coming to light in the kidnapping of Solecki.

Recently, former Pakistani President, Parvez Musharraf, visited India. In defense of the Pakistani Army and the Inter-Services Intelligence of Pakistan, he expressed the belief that the world should know of activities in Afghanistan being undertaken by the Indian embassies in Jalalabad and Khandahar, as well as the use of the embassies by RAW (the Indian secret service). The former Pakistani President has received no reply.

Secret service agencies, RAW of India, the Mossad of Israel, and the U.S. CIA have a presence in Afghanistan, with strong ties among them, providing a logical explanation for the disharmony and rebellious activities currently witnessed in Balochistan. The losses thus engendered will be Western losses.

Outfits, such as the BLUF, are using secret service agency training and assistance provided in Afghanistan, to conduct activities, such as the kidnapping of John Solecki. Although no relationship exists between outfits, such as the BLUF, and the Pakistani government, pressure is on and demands have been made; thus, the government and the army are engaged in seeking the return of John Solecki.

These questions must be answered: Why are the RAW of India, the Mossad of Israel, and the U.S. CIA playing these questionable games? Why are Pakistan and Iran being victimized in these vicious games centering on Balochistan?

These questions are for U.S. President Obama, who is engaged in planning new policies regarding Afghanistan, while his strategists endeavor to represent Pakistan and Afghanistan as one and the same entity by using the term “Afpak”. Shouldn’t they be made aware of the mistakes they are making?

OUR EDITORIAL BOARD'S OPINION
Our Opinion: Fate of Pakistan now biggest U.S. concern

Sunday, April 05, 2009

On the campaign trail, Barack Obama warned that Afghanistan, not Iraq, should be treated as the true “central front” in the war on Islamic extremism. As president, he has begun to translate that approach into action, announcing a slow withdrawal from Iraq while committing more troops and resources to Afghanistan.

But quietly, Obama has redefined and broadened the problem in a profound way. When he and others in his administration discuss the issue, they no longer describe the central front as Afghanistan; now, they tend to talk of Afghanistan and Pakistan, together, as a single problem.

“The future of Afghanistan is inextricably linked to the future of its neighbor, Pakistan,” Obama said last month in announcing a new policy in the region. “In the nearly eight years since

9/11, al-Qaida and its extremist allies have moved across the border to the remote areas of the Pakistani frontier. This almost certainly includes al-Qaida’s leadership: Osama bin Laden and Ayman al-Zawahiri. … For the American people, this border region has become the most dangerous place in the world.”

The evolving recognition of Pakistan’s importance is also laid out starkly in a new “white paper” issued by the administration on policy toward Afghanistan and Pakistan. Among other things, it stresses the importance of “disrupting terrorist networks in Afghanistan and especially Pakistan,” with the emphasis quite clearly on Pakistan. According to the report, “The core goal of the U.S. must be to disrupt, dismantle, and defeat al-Qaida and its safe havens in Pakistan, and to prevent their return to Pakistan or Afghanistan.”

That language tells you a lot about the thinking of the president and his advisers and generals. Pakistan is no longer considered important just because of its impact on events on Afghanistan; Pakistan itself has become the central focus, with Afghanistan increasingly secondary. Two things have driven that reassessment:

• The stability of Pakistan itself is increasingly threatened. In testimony last week before the Senate Armed Services Committee, Gen. David Petraeus warned that “the Pakistani state faces a rising —indeed, an existential — threat from Islamist extremists such as al-Qaida and other transnational terrorist organizations.” Pakistan’s elected civilian government is weak and divided, unable to act to protect itself or its people. It is ceding more and more territory — and more and more of its citizenry — to rule by the Taliban. As Obama described the threat, “al-Qaida and its extremist allies are a cancer that risks killing Pakistan from within.”

• Pakistan has a nuclear arsenal estimated roughly at 100 warheads. And while there is no immediate danger of Islamic militants gaining control of either the government or the warheads, the trend line is worrisome. If Pakistan falls, Petraeus warned Congress, it “would provide transnational terrorist groups and other extremist organizations an opportunity to acquire nuclear weapons and a safe haven from which to plan and launch attacks.”

It is in Pakistan, in other words, that the nightmare scenario woven by President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney is most likely to play out. All the ingredients are there: nuclear weapons, a government so far lacking the means and will to defend itself, and a rising tide of Islamic extremism. In fact, the situation has deteriorated to such a degree that before Obama’s first term ends, it is conceivable U.S. troops may be fighting on the ground in Pakistan itself.

U.S. officials of course deny any such plan, as they should. “There is no intention for us to be conducting operations in there, certainly on the ground,” Petraeus said last week, “and there is every intention by the Pakistani military and their other forces to conduct those operations.”

Again, that language is revealing. It is no doubt true that at the moment, the U.S. has no intention of conducting ground operations in Pakistan. Doing so would mark a dangerous escalation of our commitment in that region. But the general’s choice of words leaves the door open should the situation change.

The most likely areas for such an intervention are the tribal regions bordering Afghanistan. They are technically part of Pakistan, but the Pakistani government has no presence there. The conditions that might force such an intervention are purely speculative. On a smaller scale, hit-and-run operations against specific targets inside the tribal areas could be launched under the same ground rules already in effect for missile strikes. Those strikes — by some reports launched from within Pakistan itself — occur with private permission but public condemnation from the Pakistani government. Ground raids, rare in the past, are likely to increase in number and scale as the summer fighting season opens.

At some future point, it is even conceivable that a Pakistani government will feel so threatened by Islamic extremists that it requests more direct and extensive U.S. military assistance. In light of Pakistan’s nuclear arsenal, it would be hard for Obama or any other president to deny that request.

Furthermore, if for some reason the United States chose not to intervene while Pakistan’s government fell to extremists, others in the region — most notably India — would almost certainly feel compelled to act, with potentially disastrous consequences.

The “AfPak” policy laid out by the Obama administration is clearly designed against that calamity. It attempts to bolster the will of Pakistan’s government to defend itself and to give Pakistani forces the training and resources they need to do so. The U.S. government is also working with India to lower tensions with Pakistan, so the Pakistani military can feel free to concentrate on the extremist threat.

India’s restrained reaction to the terror attack on Mumbai — an attack clearly launched from Pakistan, with possible support from elements in the Pakistani government — was an important if temporary success in that effort. It also suggests that India very much shares U.S. apprehension about that trend line in its neighbor.

What makes the problem truly difficult is there’s no short-term or mid-term answer, no chance of anything we might call victory. For a variety of reasons, including a failure to commit enough resources or attention years ago, the situation in Afghanistan and Pakistan has become a condition that can at best be managed but maybe not cured.

Defence spending, interest on debt absorb three-fourths of revenues

QUOTEKARACHI (April 05 2009) : Defence spending and interest costs on country's rising debt are absorbing three-fourth of the revenues, says the State Bank of Pakistan. The second quarterly report on the economy, issued by SBP, on Saturday also said that due to sharply constrained access to international capital markets as well as slower deposit growth in banks, the domestic interest rates will be more sensitive to government funding demands through the volume-based auctions of government paper.

Note :

2. Pakistani Budget 2007-2008 : Table 1 – Page 5

Expenditure : 1549611 Million = 1549.611 Billion

Interest Payment as per SBP Statement = USD 1.23

2A. Pakistani Budget 2007-2008 : Table 1 – Table 16 Page 23

Servicing of Domestic Debt P. R. 443118 Million = 443.118 Billion

Quota for Dalits in public sector services demanded

KARACHI: Civil rights activists have demanded the restoration of a federal government ordinance passed in 1956 that ensures a six percent quota in public sector services and higher education institutions for the scheduled caste of Hindu minorities.
The lower castes Hindus have been denied access to the said quotes since its abolition in 1998. During a one-day consultation on ‘Issues of Dalits and Strategies for Solution’ organised by Pakistan Institute of Labour Education and Research (PILER) and Thardeep Rural Development Programme (TRDP), the attendees unanimously demanded that these quotas be revived. The consultation participants said that discrimination on the basis of caste, occupation and status exists very much in the society. Muslims, Christians, Hindus and people belonging to other religions equally fall victim to these discriminatory practices. However, the situation of the scheduled caste Hindus such as Kolhi, Bheel, Menghwar, Oad, Bagri and Bakmaki is the worst as they are facing social bashing in their respective areas.
On the occasion, Pakistan Dalit Solidarity Network (PDSN) was formally launched to fight back caste and descent based discrimination in the society. The network with an 11-member steering committee and an advisory committee will particularly focus on the protection and promotion of the rights of scheduled caste Hindus and other marginalised sections of the society.
The steering committee comprises of Pushpa Kumari, Advocate Arjundas, Advocate Bhoromal, Pirbhulal, Tahira Ali, Advocate Noornaz Agha, Mirza Maqsood, Moazam Ali, Zain Daudpoto, Rameshjaipal, and Aquila Naz while the advisory committee includes Karamat Ali, Dr Sono Khanghrani, Krishanchand, Gianchand, Kathumal, Peter Jacob, Iqbal Detho, Harris Khalique and Zulfiqar Shah.
The consultation participants regretted that the attitude of Pakistan towards the scheduled caste Hindus has long been a case of double standards and denial. They said that the low caste Hindus were hit by dual discrimination as they are non-Muslims in a Muslim state and are Dalits in minorities, however, the second discrimination is not recognised and there is no legislation against it. Impunity has resulted in widespread violence against the people of the scheduled caste that includes forced labour and rape.
Zulfiqar Shah, author of a recent study on the status of scheduled castes in Pakistan titled ‘Long Behind Schedule’ said that the socio economic indicators of scheduled caste populations in Pakistan are very low. “More than 90 percent of the scheduled caste population lives below the poverty line, the illiteracy ratio of Dalits is as high as 74 percent and 83 percent of the scheduled caste Hindus both in Sindh and Punjab are landless. Their nominal wages and lower social status makes them vulnerable to bondage,” he revealed.
TRDP CEO and renowned activist Dr Khanghrani highlighted the efforts of national and international organisations in portraying the issues of Dalits. He said, “Concerns on the status of Dalits are being expressed at the international level as well and it is high time that the government of Pakistan pays special attention and takes special measures to improve the conditions of the scheduled castes.”
PILER Executive Director and a trade union activist Karamat Ali pointed out the lack of political representation of scheduled castes and marginalised sections of the society at decision-making levels adding, “The current legislative bodies do not represent the Pakistani society. Major sections of the society such as labour, fishermen and scheduled castes have no representation in the national, provincial assemblies and in the senate.”
The consultation also passed a resolution condemning the flogging of a woman in Swat by religious fundamentalist and urged the government to take stern action against the culprits. It also asked the government to include the castes in census forms and land distribution among scheduled castes, representation of scheduled castes in legislative and other state bodies, special job quota and scholarships.
Advocate Arjundas, Pirbhulal, Dr Aly Ercelawn, Kirshan Chand, Mumutaz Odhand, Pirbhulal, Karamat Ali, Iqbal Detho, Zulfiqar Shah and others also spoke on the occasion. staff report
