People want to see action against corrupt people such as putting Chiddu in jail and bringing back billions of black money. The whole Anna Hazare movement was not actually for some version of Lokpal bill (though not against) but total disapproval and venting of anger against corrupt people. So the tide has already turned away from Anna especially after the Congress successfully split the Team away.
I am certain that educated people are looking for Dr.Swamy to successfully prosecute P.Chidambaram. That will not only cause the fall of the UPA but get the people back on the street against Sonia and her ilk looting this country.

The Rajya Sabha was adjourned without voting on the Lok Pal Bill last night.The proceedings indicated that non of the political parties were serious to have the bill passed. On the other hand Anna Hazari had to call off his fast due to poor public response in Mumbai.
The biggest mistake of Anna Hazari and his team was that they alienated the political class , in particular the members of parliament. They overestimated their public support and tried to dictate terms to the Members of Parliament. The Congress Government initially tried to accommodate the demands of the so called representative of the civil society. This gave a false sense of importance to the Anna team members and they continued to press for an early Lok Pal bill containing their own terms and conditions. Initially, a few of the opposition parties extended support to team Anna just for the sake of embarrassing the Government. They soon realized that their support to team Anna will soon undermine not only the supremacy of parliament but also their own power and position. The subsequent political deliberations inside and outside the Parliament was ment only to ensure that there is no major popular movement. The moment the political leaders realized that Anna does not have much public support, they felt more confident and the end result was that the Lok Pal bill has been kept 9in the freezer.
The team Anna by its arrogant behavior and big talks have lost mass support. They gave an impression that they can dictate terms to the Parliament and the legislations needs to be done on their terms and conditions. Thus an impression was created that the Anna team wants to subvert the most important institution of our democratic system.

When Dr.Subramanian Swamy exposed the 2G corruption and went to the court to get the criminal ministers packed off to Tihar, the Congress realized that there was a surge in anger of the people against them. The Tamilnadu election exposed this truth so vehemently. They saw the danger writ large on the wall if Dr. Swamy were to succeed in the court. And in a bid to stem the gathering danger they set in motion the talk of how to thwart corruption rather than catch and punish the criminals. Thus was born Anna Hazare and his Lokpal movement! It was Gandhi-cap, national flag and even Sonia Gandhi writing to Anna all like the ââ¬Ëindependence movementââ¬â¢!
There were in our midst some true nationalists who were quite upset with the turn of events. Ramdev saw the danger of the criminals who steal national wealth and stashing it abroad escaping in the fashion of Quantarocchi and so this Saadhu began to set out on his own to keep the focus of the people on the criminals particularly Sonia and her mafia that her kept press and political goons were trying to blunt. So he set out on a fast unto death refusing to be cajoled into submission. The reaction of the Italian Mafia was quick and vehement. The Delhi police in thousands ruthlessly unleashed their violence at ââ¬Ëmindnight Jalianwallah Baagââ¬â¢ at Ramlila Maidan. Ramdev was hounded and banished from Delhi.
Soniaââ¬â¢s whipping of the danda only increased peopleââ¬â¢s anger further. She took sick leave and tried to gain some sympathy(!) through her kept press. Yet the peopleââ¬â¢s disappointment and frustration was seen in the internet even as the kept press monopolised the spreading of the goebellian lies in their domain. The Congress realized that there is a new need for a new tactic. So Anna Hazare was goaded to act, this time in great frenzy and festoon! The greatest thamaasha of it all was while Anna fasted people at the Maidan were feasted and there were drums, songs and dance as if it is something to rejoice and celebrate of course with the flaunting of gandhi caps and national flags! Then again it ended with a great promise of enactment of a new law.
So on to the parliament to enact the law! Yes, the law that the Congress donââ¬â¢t want nor what the people do like. There was this ââ¬Ëgreatââ¬â¢ controversy of the Anna Hazare stealing the rights of parliament while members of Anna Team being vilified as stealers and corrupters. And finally when it reached the Parliament the people witnessed how the legislators of all hues have tried one-upmanship against each other to produce the biggest nothing. The Indian parliament once again stood exposed as the gang of criminals who are bent upon cheating the people.
At the very moment Anna Hazare Movement died an ignoble death! After all he has already served his purpose to his masters and had to be disbanded!

The movement against corruption by Anna and his team has come to a grinding halt. This was not expected by the general public and hence there was good attendance in the earlier fast at Delhi. Subsequently, there was several contradiction within the Annaââ¬â¢s core team that surfaced in the media. The team made another fatal mistake, they antagonised the entire political leadership of the country, from the Left to the BJP in varying degree. It proved to be a big disaster. The Anti Congress posture of the Anna team made people suspicious about their actual motive.
Meanwhile , with the elections due in several States, the political leaders are now busy arranging the finances required to fight the elections. They do not have time to devote on Anna and his team. Once the politicians pull out their support , it is next to impossible to sustain any movement, howsoever noble the cause may be.
On a separate note, I personally happened to meet an individual from NGO sector working in Bihar who confirmed that all the people involved with Anna's movement are from NGOs and well funded by Ford and other US based institutions purely to carry out their motives; he also confirmed that the common man is not aware of it (of course some of us get to know it due to the net). The possibility of these US based groups funding them again for any other issues and pushing their conduits/proxies to carry out their missions can not be ruled out.It will be interesting to see in what form their next 'movement' is going to appear as Mr. Kejriwal seems to be asking for suggestions:

Now that they've floundered, (although they never were serious; even today Baba Ramdev's rallies attract more crowd wherever he goes.
