QUOTEWhy couldn't the opposition move a no-confidence motion? Why does it have to be a confidence motion moved by Dharam Singh?
After JD(S) division, BJP and JD(S) requested Governor to install JD(S) +BJP government, CM Dharam Singh refused to resign and called on Governor TN Singh to seek opportunity to prove his majority, Governor gave him opportunity and called session to seek "Vote of confidence". Itâs all about technicality.
I think they could have done by calling "No confidence motion" session.
I think JD(s)+BJP never expected Dharam Singh will stick shamelessly.
Correct me.
