you captured the mood of andhra in your post , it is very very sad and true , personally have seen the districts in the south krishna ,guntur , the fertile delta of godavari fall prey to the abrahamic vultures, the reasons i feel are as follows
1.Andhra similar to Tamilnadu has a history of communist influenced hindu hating propaganda(please read it as upper caste bashing translated into hindu bashing)
It might take a long time for people to see they are hurting themselves .
though it is not as virulent compared to tamilandu it is still present , the testimony being the 20-30 seats the communist parties always manage to win and the naxalite influence in telangana.
2.The alarming thing is though the bulk of conversions are in the rich tribal belts of godavari , where there is lot of misplaced anger and in the rice belts , the upper castes are also increasingly getting targetted..
you would be shocked to see their organizational skills , take a look at this website

1.Allocating land to christian organizations beside the holy bhadrachalam temple
2.Tirupati Temple prasad distribution given to a organization run by a kerala christian (covertly)
3.Giving a free hand to 7th day adventists to whom he himself belongs .
Sadly am today reminded of Ram Dhari Singh Dinkar Ji's lines (though they sound much better in Hindi )
