<b>The Delhi Police on Wednesday refuted claims made by the Special Task Force (STF) of UP police that the six accused nabbed by the latter in connection with March 7 Varanasi blasts had anything to do with serial blasts on October 29 in Delhi last year.</b>
Ajay Kumar, DCP (special cell) said, "The main accused arrested in UP are members of Harkat-Ul-Jehad-e-Islami (HUJI), which is a wing of Jaish-e-Mohammad while the Delhi bomb blast case is the handiwork of Lashkar-e-Taiyyaba."
Meanwhile, he added, "We have not received any formal intimation from the UP STF regarding their involvement in Delhi blasts" are based on speculations and it has no authenticity. However, Kumar added that if required the accused arrested by the UP police may be interrogated. So far six persons have been arrested in Delhi bomb blasts case and four chargesheets have been filed against the accused.
No further arrests are likely in the Delhi bomb blast case. A team of Special Cell, which was camping in the valley regarding for the investigations has also been called back.
