If the property law is not adhered to, than there is system/process for one to get justice via legal channels. In Imraan's case and Shah Bano's we as nation failed them - bottom line and the culprits are still out there, most in positions of power today. Does this not bother you that 50% of the muslim population is being oppressed? And your favorite nemisis like BJP or RSS has nothing to do with this other than asking for uniform civil code so that all Indians are treated and respected as Indias?
As for bigamy in Hindus, it's against law of land - nothing Hindu or Muslim about it. Just because law is bent by certain individuals, doesn't mean that other law biding Hindus approve of it.
And if we have to discuss "Sati", it's not in our 'Bhagavad Gita' that Sati should be committed by widows. The origins of lie in war widows giving up their lives than being slaves and property of the invading hordes from West.

Absolutely. And in my opinion so every other Indians irrespective of their current religious affiliation. Hinduism is a way of life and personally President Abdul Kalam commands higher respect any day than say the current HRD minister Arjun Singh.
BTW, Who are the spokesperson for these dalits these days - Rev Fredric Prakash or Rev Joseph D'Souza etc? Kancha Illiah? Most of these have called for throwing Hindus into Arabian Sea. Heck, you won't see it in Times of India, of course if Tagodia (who doesn't speak for me BTW) said same, you'll come running here with 'see told ya'.

(a) no, "my community" is not beneffitting
(b) even if for sake for argument I accept that "my community" benefitted, I would oppose reservations for a simple reason that it promotes reverse discrimination and merit's not reward.
To put in presepective, I know people could have set up their business in some nations where they are indeed a minority and if tagged as minority (especially female minority) owned business, they get a better shot at govt. contracts and other benefits. But they have chosen not to on basis on their personal principles.

Boss, exclusive reports doesn't cost much to be carried out. Most are paid to carry such report. Print and big media's credibilty is at all time low so if you read anything please cross check with other things.

The figures in media has been directly proportional to (a) the time and (b) their intent on establishing themselves as 'secular'. The Gujarat figures I've quoted are published by the Govt of India and presented in both houses of parliament. The current UPA govt of India, the one which is for all purposes hostile to Gujarat state govt in every other respect.

Try answering a question I've repeadtely asked you. Why's no one talking about Neille, Assam when one Feb morning of '83, over 3000 muslims were killed in just ONE DAY. The Tiwari commission report and the findings are not published till date? Even a seminar on this topic organized last Dec was banned by the govt. Some of the culprits are very much alive and in position of power. Why's media silent about muslims in Assam while harping on muslims in Gujarat. Why are muslims in Gujarat voting repeatedly for Modi? The postor child for the Godhara riots (forget his name), who was relocated to Kolkotta by Sabrang and their naxal friends, returned back to Gujarat within 3 months!! Read the other threads, and you'll find a lot of answers.
