In 1947, there was no industry in India, India skiped/missed industrial revolution. It will take atleast decade to be self sufficient in defence, space sector etc with. Even then India will be using patent technolgy, I hope you are not suggesting reinventing everything.
To even reach to that level India need more than exponential times 250000 crores. For that period, do you think Indian defence forces will lock them self in defence mess or baracks till our scientist comeup with the greatest technolgy. Do you think our neighbor are that generous. We have over 5000 years of history to be cautious.
For last 4 years we are seeing funds.
For furture development and to keep this pace of growth, India need to improve infrastucture, which first and most important at this time. R&D invest should go along. Defence expenditure should also stay same to modernise our forces and maintain them, so that we can have peace in country and can have excellent growth and development.
