Check out UPA's 'multiple organ failure'QUOTE "Power cuts as long as 8 to 10 hours in the national capital alone coupled with the Congress-led administration's inability to check prices and food shortage in the country show that the government is suffering from multiple organ failure," BJP spokesman Prakash Javadekar said.
He insisted that the current power crisis indicated that the UPA would fail to keep its promise to add 100,000 megawatts to the country's power generation capacity by 2012.
"Almost all states are suffering from massive power cuts. The government has to explain what has led to this crisis. We therefore demand a status report on the country's overall power situation," Javadekar said.
Also, he accused the government of slowing down infrastructure projects, alleging the UPA government's average road laying has come down to 1.5 km a day from 4.5 km a day under the NDA administration.
