<b>The previous Government was headed by the BJP and they were in power for six long years. No special changes were made in the laws to control foreign money's flow. What prevented them to do so? There is no point in blaming the UPA Government only for the situation that is prevailing today as voiced above by the contributors to the forum. In fact the previous Government was much more powerful in implementing strong measures as it neither had to seek the support of the Communists neither it required the support of RJD.
Will some one having close liking of the BJP and VHP enlighten us what prevented them from doing anything in this direction. The last law enacted in India dealing with flow of foreign funds, if I remember correctly was at a time when Congress was in absolute majority in Parliament. Several expulsion orders were also served and executed against Christian Missionaries also during the Congress period. I think the most widely reported was that of Father Michel Scott from the North East. I may be wrong with the name; someone may kindly correct me, if that is the case.
