Vendettas, revenge, grudge matches, et al form the staple of its politics.  For
proof do not go far. Witness how the Congress Party-led Government of 
Manmohan Singh pursues the former Defence Minister George Fernandes. 

Since the former Socialist stormy petrel has been one of the  most bitter,
and uncompromising, critics of the Nehru-Gandhi family, the latter  has its own
reasons to show him down. Since he has most assiduously exposed the 
wrong-doing and corruption of the Family, it causes little surprise that the
