<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->Many books have been written about the soldiers and volunteers from various countries who took part in the Anglo-Boer War of 1899-1902. But there has been none on the role of India and Indians in South Africa though India contributed more soldiers and ambulance workers than any of the other British colonies and was a major source of supplies for the British army, while the largest number of Boer prisoners of war were held in camps in India.

Why is that there is no book on the role of India in South Africa. Is it because Indians are considered mentally slaves or subjects of British empire and hence do not deserve any special mention as a nation of people. Is is because Indians have internalized themselves as part of the British white race and do not deserve a seperate identity.
