<b>He said the extreme punishment for adultery in Islam was 100 lashes. The punishment of stoning to death was awarded only under extreme and exceptional circumstances.</b>
Dr Ghamadi said the bill maintained the testimony of women at half the value of the testimony of men. <b>âIn Islam both male and female witnesses are equal. The testimony of non-Muslim witnesses is also equal to that of Muslims,â </b>he said.
