Actually, with the Congressi rowdies from <i>higher up</i> going after the HinduUnity site owner, I am starting to see evidence for Rahul being a rapist.
Not that I expected anything at all from Rahul. After all, St Constantine before him was a multiple-murderer. So he has a lot to do to catch up. Santahood is not easy. It takes a lot of blood and other violation.
And 21st century Helena doesn't mind, it was only a Hindu girl after all. (Same happened with many colonial Portuguese Catholics in Goa too, so who's to say it's not a Catholic rite of passage in India? Portuguese Catholics ruled then, Catholics rule now.) Though Mama Sonia would have been angry had Rahul attacked a Catholic girl. But even that would have been nothing a short visit to the confession booth wouldn't solve. Besides, Papa in Rome is always ready to absolve/forgive Helena-and-son for everything, if only they'll deliver India on a platter. The Glorious End justifies everything. Besides, Papa wouldn't want to be a hypocrite when many of his predecessors were rapists and child-molestors as per the Church's own chroniclers and church historians.
It's too late for the following now, but
- Congress could have ignored the whole matter and let it die a quiet death - if they didn't acknowledge it, it would have been no more than a 'rumour' unless the accusers were able to produce the victim or her mother. (Are they probably murdered by now?)
- Or Rahul could have laughed it off, saying that it was not true: 'see proof - I was in police headquarters for binge-drinking, or wherever else, at the time this was supposed to have taken place'.
But no, Sonia's highest footmen are making this case personal. <i>They</i> are after the accusers. They are even trying to enlist Interpol for what is 'slander' at worst if proven false. And it's not like Kerry and others didn't have slander flung at them. It happens. And in Kerry's case, the opposition - the republicans - were doing it.
In Rahul's case though, it's just a regular guy who owns a site so he doesn't have the 'credibility' of the republicans. Then why would anyone send in the big guns after small fry? Hmmm
And now, Sonia's even got Interpol in this. I'm surprised she didn't get the CIA - after all, the US is super-interested in the 'crown prince' they've already selected for India. I'm sure they don't care killing the guy who owns HU in order to realise such a big objective; they've killed and tortured for far less after all.
I'm for the underdog here. If Rohit owns HU, good man. Hope he keeps fighting the theocracy oppressing India while he dodges Congressi hitmen.
