If you are aged 17 to 23 (or thereabouts), with roots in South Asia, the OY! Summer Program is for you. The 4-day program will provide a unique place for youth and community organizers to come together and
trace the evolution of community organizing in South Asia and the South Asian diaspora
breakdown barriers based on race, religion, sexuality and class, and discover the common thread of oppression and struggle
nurture solidarity and ways to rebuild fractured communities
develop strategies for social change and global equality
Come, participate in interactive workshops and games for understanding and analysing oppression, discussions and panels on community resources and organizations in allied movements, and training in organizational skills and coalition building.
