Let the country be warned in time: Al-Umma is an Islamist terrorist outfit banned in Tamilnadu. A total of 65 ultras trained in Al-Umma camps have taken part in the examinations for the posts of police sub-inspectors in Tamilnadu, president of State BJP Sri. L Ganesan disclosed on June 14, 2007 at Chennai. Urging the State government to enquire into the issue, Ganesan said three influential persons had recommended the ultras to sit for the examinations.

Also, a report in the Tamil political weekly THUGLAK of June 13, 2007 had revealed the shocking fact that 42 persons "belonging to a terrorist outfit have been selected for the post of police sub inspector" in the recently held selection test in Tamilnadu. The State and Central intelligence agencies have alerted the governments about this dreadful development, the report said.
