A British parliamentary committee is to summon a top BBC official to answer concerns about a string of fake phone-in competitions that have tarnished its image.
The BBCâs Deputy Director General has been told to appear before the Culture, Media and Sport committee next Tuesday over what the committee says are widespread and systemic problems.
The BBC has suspended all phone-related competitions after admitting it had put fake winners on the air in a number of programmes.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
