there was a time when Cricket commentary on radio used to be in Hindi. There was some Indianization of terminology too. Some of the cricket-terms were translated and used, and were actually popular in Hindi world (news papers, door-darshan/akash-vani etc.), such as:

not-out - avijit
century - Sataka
half-century - ardha-Sataka
sixer - chhakka
four - chauka
boundary - sImA
spin - phirakI
gend, ballA, gillI...
