<b>ramana Ji :</b>
Please read the Article <b>In anotherâs tongue by KK Aziz</b> per my post #65 of Aug 27 2007, 02:14 PM.
The Fourth along with the Last paragraphs do tell the âTale of Woe in respect of Pakjabisâ
Gurumukhi : From the âGuruâs Mouthâ i.e. the Script was initially used for Scriptures like âGuru Granth Sahebâ. Even Guru Govind Singh Ji - Dashmeshwar Pita - wrote a Treatise in Persian.
A large number of Hindus in Punjab are now proficient in the Gurumukhi Script and of course the Older Generation who read the âGuru Granth Sahebâ in Gurumukhi and âGutkaâ in Gurumukhi as well as in the Devnagri Script.
Pakshmi Hindi : Major use is by the Business community who wrote their âVahi Khatasâ in the Devnagri Script but the spoken content of the âAccount Booksâ was Punjabi. In addition the âGutkaâ in the Devnagri Script is known as âSundar Gutkaâ. Pakshmi Hindi is the Scientific Name.
Urdu Literature : K K Azizâs comments lead one to ask âWhat Literature?â
In ending, many thanks for the âtrustâ reposed in my capabilities in respect of âknowledgeâ of the Punjabi Language but the little bit I know is from light readings of The Encyclopaedia Britannica.
