Rannath interview in Pioneer
QUOTEQ. The Chief Ministers of other BJP-ruled States are also facing rebellion?
A. Except Rajasthan I do not think there is any such problem in any other State. Rajasthan problem would be sorted out very soon.
Q. There is some problem between Jaswant Singh and Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje?
A. I can only say that it is not personal.
Q. Despite many attempts, the NDA is not expanding?
A. The channels of communication with some other parties are open and we think that in the days to come some of them will join us.
Q. The NDA is non-existent in South?
A. Kerala and Andhra Pradesh is really a problem. In other places, we are trying to get some new partners.
Q. Is your decision to reunite with the JD(S) just for the sake of power right?
A. We didn't approach them. In fact, it was Deve Gowda who offered unconditional support. We were ready for election and did not hurry to form the Government.
Q. But Deve Gowda levelled serious charges against your party. Will he be a trusted ally?
A. It is up to him to respond to the allegations he levelled on us. We are about to form a Government with their support and the rest is in the womb of future.
