This sivasthalam is located between chengalpattu and Dindivanam,Next to Melmaruvathur. This is the 29th of the 32 Tevara Stalams in the Tondai region of South India. This temple in Tondai Naadu, received endowments from the Imperial Cholas, as seen from the inscriptions from the period of Raja Raja Chola II.

Goddess : Ilankiliyammai,SoundaryaNayaki
Holy tree : sarankonrai
Pathigam : Thirugnana Samandhar
Darshan time : 6.30 am â 11.30am ,4pm â 8.30pm
Theertham : Sangu Theertham,SimhaTheertham
Festivals : Aruthra,Sivarathri,navarathri,Peruvizha during chittirai,Vinayagar Saturthi
Saint Agathiyar,on the way to this sthalam rested in a Village called "Perum Peru Kandigai" where Lord Aatcheeswarar gave Dharshan to him on his request.This is also celebrated on 11th day of chittirai Peruvizha.
