Bharat Natyam, the classical dance of India, is also taught in the Christian schools, but with Christian symbols and meanings replacing the Vedic. This is all in the attempt to actively sway Hindus over to Christianity. The Evangelical Church of India (ECI), established in 1954, targets the slums, scheduled castes and scheduled tribes, in cities and villages. Seeing this and recalling from the various documentaries and books I have read on christianity's origins really confirms for me that these people really did snuff out local religions by usurping their symbols and conciding their "holy" days with the local ones.
It's like history repeating itself all over again. I would like to think that this time though due to the availabilty of, and free flow of information we can push back this attack.
