Dear Friends,
I am a new member, even though I did lurk around for a while to learn more about this wonderful forum. Still, I am not sure if it's ok to start new topics, so if I've transgressed any rules, my apologies.
I found an interesting article, which hints at Nehru having become 'more Hindu' toward the end of his life. The reason for my posting this article is simple. Nehru being one of the most popular leaders amongst Indians, why can't hindutvadis project him as a Hindutvadi? This isn't weird, if you consider how Leftists, who once hated and vilified people like Bose, Vivekananda etc. are now praising these people, even carrying their banners during political meetings. <!--emo&
--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo--> Point is, these clever leftists have 'robbed' these Hindu Nationalist to suit their needs, after having understood public mood.
Going by the same logic, why can't we 'use' Nehru to convince the secular breed of Hindus, rather than attack him, and make more enemies within our community? By praising this man as a Hindu Nationalist, wouldn't it be easier to convert more secular, Nehruvian Hindus to our ideology?
I hope I am making sense. Anyway, it's good to be here. <!--emo&

Warmly,
Suresh
