There is an improvement in services by railways but it is not what one would have excepted. The most important things like food being supplied or the cleanliness at the stations and trains, and the arrival/depature of train on schedule are things that need to be worked on. But using technology to help the passengers like booking tickets through internet, or the touchscreen consoles at the stations through which tickets availibity can be checked are indeed helpful.

There is an general complaint in Kar that the laying of new lines are being delayed or are being done at an slow pace to reduce the money outflow of the railways. This is one of laloo's tricks so that he can show an profit in the railway budget.
