But the way I understood Dhu's post was that <i>even in jest</i> they can't submit that the numbers of boy and girl children being abused by christopriests of the Catholic variety are approximately the same. It's just not likely. Therefore that itself shows off clearly how it must be satire, since no one is expected to believe it.
(Protestant churches abuse girls and adult women in high numbers, so I think there it is at least 50:50 genderwise.) Paedophilia and in particular preying on male children is something the catholic church is into on more occasions, even though they have indeed pounced on many female children and young-adult/adult women too (e.g. vast number of cases of abused nuns in the world).
